"It's fine, you two continue," I replied coolly. As I was finishing up the payment and getting ready to leave, Gavin finally asked why I was at the hospital.

"I came for a check-up."

The report pick-up counter was right next to the payment area, so I had to wait a bit longer.

"Report number 96 is ready for pick-up," the nurse announced. I looked at the number in my hand; it was Sonia's report. I was eager to get to the counter, but Gavin suddenly grabbed my arm, stopping me.

What was his problem? I hadn't even mentioned his thing with Helen, and now he was acting up?

"Why didn't you reply to my messages?"

I was confused. Had he not noticed that I'd blocked him since yesterday? This meant he hadn't tried to contact me at all, and now he was blaming me instead of showing concern.

"Number 96's report is ready; come pick it up," the nurse repeated.

I shrugged off Gavin's hand and moved forward to get the report. The nurse, noticing my abrupt movement, kindly said, "The report shows you're pregnant. Please take extra care."

Both Gavin and I heard her clearly. I wanted to leave as quickly as possible and didn't explain further. But Gavin followed me.

"You're pregnant?!"
