Chapter 2

I immersed myself in sadness for several days and finally finished handling my grandpa's funeral.

Only then did my mind start to be clear.

During that period, Christa didn't call me once, and I didn't contact her either.

The dorm manager had started urging me to pick up my luggage. When I arrived at school with dark eye circles, many passing classmates pointed at me and whispered about me.

Everyone knew that I had been pursuing Christa for the past few years, and yesterday's proposal venue I set up made me well-known.

Almost the entire school knew that the female lead of the proposal not only didn't come but also had cuckolded me.

As expected, I was surrounded as soon as I arrived at the dorm. Fortunately, Matthew locked the door in time.

Everyone in the dorm was busy with their things, and no one spoke for a while.

Just as I was about to finish packing up, my phone rang. It was Christa.

I hung up and blocked her number directly, then continued packing.

Afterward, Matthew handed me his phone. I glanced at it and hung up directly.

"Not bad, Dylan."

I remained silent, and in a short while, Christa had called all the people in my dorm.

Helpless, I had no choice but to answer the phone.

"Dylan Baker, what do you mean? That day, I was really busy..."

"Let's get to the point."

"Are you guys picking up your luggage today? I have to work and I can't go. Can you help Joseph get his? He has been in poor health since he was young and can't carry such heavy things.

"And get my things too. Will you?"

Before she finished speaking, I hung up directly and returned the phone to Luke Turner.

"Not bad, Dylan. You finally act like a man."

I didn't say anything. I was holding the garbage ready to throw it downstairs, but as soon as I opened the door, I heard Joseph and another boy talking.

"Joseph, you're really amazing. This time you've tricked Dylan. He must never have expected that he would be a part of your relationship with Christa."

"Huh, Christa is just playing with his emotions. If it weren't for him being obedient and giving gifts, Christa wouldn't even bother with him. He's a poor boy who wants a fairy-like girl. How ridiculous!"

To train me, my parents made me earn my tuition and living expenses in college.

So, I gave them the wrong impression, making them think I was a poor boy.

"Now everyone knows that Dylan is just a simp for Christa."

"Didn't you see how cowardly Dylan was? His girlfriend was with someone else, but he did nothing and just walked away with his head down, hahaha."

After Joseph finished speaking, the two of them stood in the corridor laughing.

I clenched my fists, with the sounds from that day echoing in my mind.

Just then, Joseph saw me and walked straight toward me.

"Did Christa just tell you to come and help me with my luggage?

"I was talking to you. Didn't you hear me? Do you still want to be with Christa or not..."

Before he finished speaking, I swung a punch at him.

He looked at me in disbelief.

"What are you doing? Believe me, I will tell Christa about it."

As soon as I heard that name, I couldn't help it anymore. I kicked him to the ground and sat on him in no time.

I grabbed his neck tightly, my eyes bloodshot.

Watching him struggle desperately, I only had one thought, to kill him.

"You and Christa are really a perfect match. You two better be together forever and not harm others."

Those in the corridor were dumbfounded by the situation.

The guy who was talking to Joseph just now came over to separate us, pushing me to the ground. Matthew and the others heard it and ran out of our dorm.

In a moment, the corridor was in chaos.

And there was only one thought in my mind.

I wanted Christa and Joseph to pay the price. I wanted them to have a taste of being betrayed by their loved ones and feel worse than death.

Chapter 3

In the end, this farce ended only when the police intervened.

After making a statement with the police, I must find someone to bail me out.

This time, I was in a pickle. My family had been very depressed recently because of my grandpa's death.

After thinking about it, I made a phone call.

Then, I sat on a bench in the corridor of the police department, waiting quietly.

The scene of the years between Christa and me kept playing in my mind.

I deserved the current situation.

"Oh, how impressive! You even got the police involved when you broke up."

The person who came was my neighbor Della Stewart. We grew up together since we were young.

At that time, she was the first to disagree when I pursued Christa. Since I got together with Christa, I hadn't been in contact with her much.

"Ouch."

Della deliberately poked the wound on my face with her finger and said, "You should have listened to my advice."

I knew I was in the wrong, so I didn't say anything.

Just as we walked out of the police department, we happened to run into Christa and Joseph at the entrance.

Joseph was much more seriously injured than me, at least at first glance.

He was leaning on Christa's shoulder and when he saw me, he showed a victorious smile.

Christa was looking at Joseph with a heartbroken expression.

I couldn't help but get angry when I saw the scumbag and bitch.

I clenched my fists, realizing it was not the right time to confront them at the police department entrance. I was about to walk past them.

"Dylan, are you out of your mind? Joseph has always been in bad health. Come at me if you have a problem with him."

Christa looked at Joseph with distress, then turned her head and stared at me fiercely.

"Apologize to Joseph quickly. Otherwise, we will be done for."

I didn't bother to deal with her, a clown to me, ready to leave with Della.

"I knew it, you two have an unusual relationship. You started dating before we even broke up," Christa said sarcastically, then looked at Della. "You're an easy woman, flirting with someone else's boyfriend. Have you no manners?"

With a snap, the short-fused Della, unable to bear it any longer, went up to slap Christa.

"Show me some respect! You just came out of the police department and you still want to go back in? Only the one who cheats knows. Who are you to judge me?"

Looking at the affectionate behaviors between Joseph and Christa, I instantly felt my stomach churn.

I stared at them fiercely, then I pulled Della and walked away. When we reached the roadside, I couldn't hold on any longer and leaned against an electric pole, vomiting uncontrollably.

"Oh my god, you're kidding? This is so exaggerated."

"What are you going to do next?" Della handed me the water.

We had been playing together since we were little, and we knew each other the best. She knew that I seemed easy to get along with, but in reality, I held grudges easily.

I curled my lips and said, "Of course, it's to make them unable to escape and ruin their reputation."

Then, I asked Della to help me investigate Christa. I used to respect Christa, but now it was important to know her to beat her.

I arrived at my family's company to report for duty that afternoon. My family made a fortune in real estate and caught a good opportunity. My grandpa made a lot of money in his era.

After my dad took over the company, its business covered various industries.

Christa's star road had been so smooth, all thanks to the resources I had got her behind the scenes.

With no background or connections, Christa, who just entered the entertainment industry, wanted to take shortcuts...

At first, I couldn't bear to see her do such things, so I used the resources at home.

I directly contacted a marketing account and posted the blue movie that Christa had just made when she entered the industry as well as the photo of her with a famous director when she first debuted.

After all, she was now portraying herself as a pure college girl.

Sure enough, there was an instant wave of criticism online, and Christa immediately clarified the rumor overnight.

She even called me, but I hung up directly and blocked and deleted her number.

Then, the wife of the famous director posted an article overnight, instantly confirming that Christa was the other woman.

Christa was directly dropped from the second tier to the fourth tier.

The effect was remarkable, but it was just an appetizer I served to Christa.

Counterattack.
