This Goddess, I Don't Want Her Anymore Chapter 1

At 9 a.m., the proposal venue was finally set up with the help of our mutual friends.

I felt extremely satisfied imagining the surprised expression on Christa's face later.

Beep…

My phone beeped three times and then it was hung up.

I thought maybe Christa accidentally hit the wrong button, so I made the second and third calls.

But my fifth call still got hung up.

I started to get a little anxious.

After we got together, Christa became very busy, and I understood her.

After all, Christa was already a somewhat famous star in her junior year.

But I was sure that Christa did not have any work today.

My roommate Matthew Gomez patted my shoulder and asked with concern, "What happened?"

I waved my hand and replied, "It's okay. She should be busy."

Being an artist would meet many unexpected situations.

Sure enough, Christa sent me a message: [Busy.]

I planned to call her when she was free.

I waited for her until noon, with the June sun scorching the earth and my body soaked in sweat.

Even the carefully selected bouquet started to wilt.

Passing classmates began to whisper.

I was getting a little anxious, so I was about to activate the second plan.

My phone rang. It was my mom.

On the other end of the line, she was crying and gasping for breath.

From her fragmented words, I finally understood what she was saying.

My grandpa fell and was currently being treated in the hospital.

After that, my fingers holding the phone became stiff.

I ran out of the campus at the fastest speed possible and got in a taxi.

When I arrived at the hospital, my grandpa was still being rescued.

"Your grandpa's biggest wish is to see you get married. He even said during the day that he wanted to take care of your child..."

My mother sat on the bench in the hospital, suppressing her tears and speaking in pain.

I squatted on the ground, covering my face with both hands.

My grandpa was old and had always been in poor health. He had a caregiver beside him when he went up and down the stairs.

But this time he fell directly from the second floor to the first floor.

After a while, the doctor came out.

Looking at him shaking his head heavily, I felt like I was suffocating.

"Family members, come over. The old man still has something to say."

I walked forward, holding my grandpa's hand trembling.

I wiped away my tears and said, "Grandpa, you haven't seen me get married and start a family yet. Hold on, please hold on."

I hurriedly took out my phone and called Christa. I wanted to reassure my grandpa and fulfill his last wish.

As I listened to the mechanical voice coming from my phone, I was burning with anxiety.

Just as the call was about to end, Christa finally answered. "Christa, can you come to the hospital? My grandpa is not doing well."

But the response I got was erotic gasps. I immediately understood what was happening on the other end.

The call was hung up, and then a WhatsApp message came.

[I told you I'm busy. Why are you calling? Aren't you annoying? Can't you consider my feelings? You're just a clown who can't even show your face.

[I agreed to be your girlfriend, not to be sold to you. Take care of your family problem on your own. It has nothing to do with me.]

I was stunned for a moment.

I felt like I fell into hell again.

"Dylan, Dylan, come quickly. Grandpa is not doing well."

I hung up the phone and when I ran to my grandpa, he had already left.

I was crying uncontrollably while lying on top of him.

I had a blank mind. The person who loved me the most was gone, and I couldn't even fulfill his last wish.

I couldn't even make him die in peace.

When I turned my phone on again, I received tons of WhatsApp messages.

I browsed the messages Matthew had sent me.

The top one was a screenshot of Christa's Instagram post, taken at the time she answered my call.

The caption said: [People come and go, but luckily, you have always been there for me.]

In the photo, Christa was leaning against the head of the bed, cuddling in the arms of her bromeo Joseph Lockwood. There were suspicious red marks on her exposed skin.

A discerning person could tell what had happened at a glance.

[She was so excited that she forgot to block me. Dylan, where are you? We'll be right there with you.

[I guess she has realized it now. The post has been deleted from her Instagram.]

Christa forgot to block many people this time. Many friends sent me "congratulations" messages.

I turned off my phone without expression.

I had long suspected that the relationship between Christa and Joseph was not simple, but Christa said they were just good friends every time.

Over time, I began to think it was all in my imagination.

But now, I had a splitting headache.

Within a day, I lost the person who loved me the most, and the person I loved betrayed me.
