Halfway through, Crystal went to the bathroom, but saw Jocelyn walking towards her with a gloomy face.
Crystal's heart was filled with alarm. She vaguely felt that the same thing as last time was going to happen again. She quickly washed her hands and wanted to leave, but Jocelyn caught up with her in two steps and held her tightly.
“Jocelyn, have you had enough of acting?” Crystal said sternly. She tried to break free, but Jocelyn was surprisingly strong and she could not move.
“Of course not! Why would Octavio still favor you until now?”
Crystal did not understand why Octavio started to side with her.
“Don't worry, this is the last time!”
Jocelyn's voice was like a poisonous snake entwined around Crystal, making her feel cold.
Then, Jocelyn grabbed Crystal's hand and fell towards the stairs.
Crystal's eyes widened. This was a European-style spiral staircase. She just watched Jocelyn rolling down. She never expected someone would be so cruel to her.
With a scream, Jocelyn's head was broken and blood flowed down her face.
The waitress who happened to walk by was so frightened that she could not move. She looked at Jocelyn and then at Crystal in amazement.
The people in the box who were attracted by the sound were also stunned when they saw this scene.
Octavio reacted the fastest. He rushed down the stairs and held Jocelyn in his arms.
“Octavio, I was wrong. I really should not have gotten close to Crystal. “I just accidentally mentioned her past with you, I did not expect her to be so excited.
“I'm sorry, Octavio, I messed up. She also said that she likes you the most…,"
Before Jocelyn finished speaking, she fainted.
The onlookers frantically started calling for an ambulance, but Octavio was the only one who remained unusually calm, so calm that it was frightening.
While the ambulance was arriving, Octavio walked up to Crystal with a grim face.
“She was just trying to make friends with you, how could you be so cruel?!”
As Octavio spoke, he pushed Crystal hard with such force that Crystal lost her balance and fell heavily to the ground.
As if that was not enough, Octavio pressed on.
"Why? Is the darkness in your heart so deep that ruining me wasn't enough—you had to drag others into it too?"
"Crystal, how could you be this vile?"
Crystal's brain exploded. She had not recovered from Jocelyn's self-destructive behavior yet, and her head went blank again because of what Octavio said.
She never thought of destroying Octavio, and she never thought of expressing her feelings.
If Octavio had not found out, she would definitely have kept this feeling hidden in her heart and not let anyone know.
Why, why did she tell Octavio that she no longer liked him, but he still did not want to let her go?
But before she could ask, Octavio's hand had already grabbed Crystal's collar.
Crystal was shaking all over because behind her was a whole floor-to-ceiling window, and the mezzanine of that window had already been broken.
The hotel had not had time to replace it, and the warning sign was removed by naughty children, making it look so fragile that it could be touched.
But Octavio, who was furious, obviously did not notice this. He grabbed Crystal's collar and forced her to retreat until Crystal leaned against the cold glass that was like the grim reaper.
Someone noticed something was wrong and wanted to step forward to stop it, but in an instant, Octavio pushed Crystal hard again. What he did not expect was that the glass shattered and Crystal fell directly backwards.
Under Octavio's shocked gaze, Crystal fell into the swimming pool a few floors below along with the broken glass.
The last thing he saw was Crystal's desperate eyes.
The sound of someone falling to the ground made everyone's scalp tingle.
Octavio then realized what he had done. He fell to the ground and immediately got up.
Fortunately, the floor was not high and Crystal did not seem to be seriously injured. However, her tightly closed eyes and unconscious appearance made Octavio's heart rise to his throat.
He pushed away everyone's attempts to stop him, even stepped over Jocelyn who had fainted on the ground, rushed into the open-air swimming pool, and picked up Crystal.
He tried to wake Crystal up, but to no avail.
He looked at Crystal's pale little face, and seemed to suddenly wake up.
What on earth was he so malicious towards Crystal?
Was it really the concern of an elder brother? Wasn't there a hint of his own feelings mixed in?
He kept trying to push Crystal further away, but he could not control himself from leaving her.
The one who needed love was never Crystal, but him.
He has accompanied Crystal as she grew up over the past decade and he had always been hinting at himself not to cross the line.
But he could not forget that he was happy when he saw the diary for the first time.
At that time, he even thought about taking the diary and confessing to Crystal, but reason held him back.
But what was he doing then?
Octavio's hands were shaking while driving. He stepped on the accelerator to the bottom and almost ignored all the red lights along the way.
He compressed the thirty-minute journey into ten minutes and got to the hospital.
The red light of the ICU was still on. He rushed over, almost unable to stand, but was stopped by two strange men in suits.
Then a man who seemed familiar to him walked out from behind them. He was tall and straight, with eyes as dark as the night, and thin lips tightly pursed under his high nose. Octavio would never forget that dark look in his eyes.
Octavio then remembered why he felt familiar with the man in front of him. It was Glen, the feared King of Hell in the Hollywood industry.
Glen's face was stern. He glanced down at Octavio and said in a deep voice, “Hello, I'm Glen Raymond, Crystal's fiancé.”
The incandescent lights in the hospital were so bright that Octavio could hardly open his eyes. His head was a little groggy and he obviously did not hear what Glen said.
“Get out of here! Where's the doctor? Where's the doctor? How is Crystal…?"
He tried to bypass Glen and walk towards the door of the confined ward, but was stopped by the people behind Glen.
He said angrily, “You dare to stop me? Do you know who I am? I am her brother!”
Glen's frown revealed his worry. He glanced at Octavio and spoke with his thin lips, “Don't make noise, Crystal is still in surgery.”
Octavio seemed to have just reacted to Glen's words that revealed his identity.
Octavio, overwhelmed by the whirlwind of confusion and the distorted information swirling in his mind, blurted out in disbelief, “What did you just say? You’re Crystal’s fiancé? Glen, have you lost your mind?!”
Glen did not say anything because the light in the operating room turned from red to green. He and Octavio walked to the doctor almost at the same time. The difference was that Octavio was stopped by several bodyguards.
“How is my fiancée?”
The word ‘fiancée’ stimulated Octavio's fragile nerves. His eyes were red and he interrupted the doctor before he could answer, “What do you mean your fiancée?! Glen, what on earth are you doing here? Get lost, Crystal is my sister!”
Glen looked at him coldly and did not want to argue with him. He only cared about Crystal's situation at that moment.
“The patient's condition is stable. He will basically recover after a good rest.”
Octavio felt relieved, but then he heard Glen say, “Postpone the wedding.”
Glen was tall, half a head taller than Octavio. What he said made Octavio's heart tremble violently. His eyes suddenly widened and his hands trembled slightly.
“What wedding? What's going on?!”
Glen was also a little surprised. Seeing that Octavio looked completely clueless, and considering that he was Crystal's family after all, he patiently explained, “Crystal and I got engaged last month, and the wedding is in five days. Mr. Carrillo, don't you know?”
