When she started to lower herself in to him, the man held her ass and guided himself in to her as he opened her up in a deliriously sweet and slow movement. A deep groan soon escaped from him as he jerked his body upwards in order to meet her movements.

“Faster …” he commanded with urgency as the woman obeyed and started moving her hips in rhythm with his heavy thrust.

“Deeper ……she moaned as she started feeling herself reaching her climax.

At that time, Wesley flipped her under him and continued with his thrust, hard and fast. Caroline felt her body being torn apart. It was a painful yet fulfilling sensation that she had been accustomed to with him during all these years. She screamed until she couldn’t anymore.

They were at it for a while before the both of them clung to each other’s bodies and became still. No sound came from them neither did any one of them utter a word for a while as their heart beat calmed down.

Caroline disentangled herself from him and laid on her side of the bed. She knew he never liked to cuddle. For him, it was sex and nothing else. Clearly, she didn’t expect anything more from him even at her last encounter with him.

Caroline then hid her face on the other side and then wiped her tears. She had made it to the last point. All that she needed now was just a little confidence to bring up the subject of the divorce and get over with this once and for all.

“Why are you looking the other way? I promised you that you can do anything that you want with me tonight. Are you sure that you don’t want anything else? “She heard him ask with a hoarse voice.

Oh…. how she had wished to hear those damn words from him before. But it was already too late, because she no longer cared. She had already accepted her fate.

“I can’t ask for it. Why should I bother humiliating myself? You have never liked it. You said I didn’t deserve it and that your sweet cuddles will be reserved for someone else. “She said with a cold voice.

“Forget about what I said before. Let us cuddle. I will give an exception for today because I am in a good mood and I feel that there is something different about us today “he said casually and pulled her onto him.”

“Off course, pardon me. I am just extra emotional today “Caroline admitted and laid her face on his hairy chest. She let herself enjoy his sandal wood scent. The sweet smell that has always comforted her the days that he wasn’t around.

She didn’t know how long she had been sleeping but soon it was dawn. She was startled when a ray of sunlight came through the window.

Looking at her side, Wesley wasn’t there.

While still staring at a daze, the man cleared his voice. He was seated on the couch looking drop dead gorgeous especially after coming off the shower. He was already dressed and had returned to his normal cold nature.

He wasn’t the man who took her to cloud nine in the night. There wasn’t even a slight trace of the man who looked at her flirtatiously and with lust while he tortured her body all through the night. He was a completely different person as he gave her a once over look.

“You are already awake “she asked looking at him curiously.

Normally, he would wake up and go. He had never waited for her to wake up like this very moment and obviously he had something to tell her. In that case, she also had something to tell him.

In the past, she tried to wake up earlier to make him breakfast as a good wife does but he wasn’t interested. So, she gave up and started minding her own business. It was enough for her that she could do other things for him.

“You are right, Caroline. We need to talk “he said while removing something from the drawer.

Her mouth gaped in surprise. She didn’t need to be told what it was.

While she was trying to divorce this bastard, he was already ahead of her. What an idiot she has been last night? He had made love to her knowing what was on her mind all along.

“Sign the divorce papers so that we can free ourselves from this sorry excuse of a marriage. The love of my life is back now and we are going to try and rebuild our lives together from where we had left. I have no space for you in my life, okay. “The man said emotionlessly as he threw the documents on her laps.

Caroline laughed at herself self depreciatively. This man was heartless!

“So, you knew what was happening last night?” Caroline asked staring straight in to his cold eyes.

“Off course, you were trying to say goodbye and I gave you great sex, the one that you will never forget. I even gave you a sweet cuddle only meant for Paula. Was that enough for you to sign the damn papers or do you want more? “He narrowed his eyes as he held his chin playfully.

Caroline didn’t talk. She climbed down the bed as naked as she was and slowly picked up her clothes. She didn’t even care about the wandering eyes that were following her every step.

All that she knew was that she was done with this bullshit and this was the last time that he was going to see her body or to talk down on her like that. She carefully put her clothes back and stared at him coldly.

Wesley was startled for a moment as he watched her pick up the papers. She placed her signature on them and turned to the man “You are right, this is the end of us. I am leaving and I am never coming back. Go be with the love of your life.”

“Great…let us meet at the courthouse to finalize the divorce papers.” Wesley said as he picked up the document. He even smiled. Caroline has never remembered any single day that she had seen that man’s teeth.

But it was okay, he was going to start her new life. To hell with him and everybody else who never treated her fairly or appreciated her.

In her heart, she knew that she had only held on to this marriage for only one important reason. She will always be thankful to God for this special miracle in the midst of all this headache and betrayal.

Just as her mind was wandering somewhere else, they heard a soft footstep on the tiled floor and before they knew it, the door was pushed by a little girl with a blonde hair.

“Mommy, what is the meaning of a divorce? “The four-year-old, Angel asked innocently.

Angel was their four-year-old daughter who Wesley never wanted in the beginning. He did everything possible to make her abort the pregnancy but she wouldn’t listen to him.

The reason being that their marriage was complicated enough to bring in another person.

Yes….. he was right but she couldn’t bring herself to harm an innocent baby.

She was glad that over the years, he had grown to love her and even if they were divorcing, she knew that he cared about their daughter.

Angel didn’t know what was going on in their lives and Caroline felt like breaking down for tearing the family that she had promised her apart. Being a mother meant that she was supposed to protect her kid but what did she do? She was about to break her heart.

Caught off guard, Caroline smiled and hugged her gently on her chest. It looks like she had to explain things. There was no need of keeping her in the dark because the decision has been made already.

“Honey, divorce means that two people are separating and they will no longer be living together. “she said as she brushed her hair softly. Tears threatened to wet on her eyes but she couldn’t afford to be vulnerable in front of her daughter. she had to be strong for the both of them.

“So, does it mean that you and Daddy will no longer live together? But I love our house, Mommy.” Her sweet innocent voice tore through her heart painfully and yet there was nothing that she could do about it.

She could see Wesley becoming unsettled as he talked to their daughter. He hurt her and she will never forgive him.

“Yes, honey. You do know that daddy loves you so much but sometimes, adults have to go their separate ways so that they can sort out some of their problems. Otherwise, I love your mommy because she gave birth to you, okay.”

Angel started crying. she was so emotional as tears rolled down on her little puffy cheeks” Daddy and mommy, please don’t leave me alone. I am afraid. who will read for me bedtime stories? Daddy, your voice always makes me sleep well and Mommy, I like your little cuddles “she climbed down from her mother’s embrace and went to her father who picked her up and kissed her forehead.

“Ssh…..Ssh….Ssh . No more crying, baby…. We love you so much and I wish I could stay with you but I know that your mommy will be very sad. So, we have decided that you will stay with your mother in your new house and then I will come and visit you from time to time. I will read you a book over the phone and we can still do all the fun things that we used to do when I come to visit, okay.”

“But why do you two have to separate? Can’t you just stay for my sake?” she pleaded with her eyes but Wesley avoided answering her.

Instead, Wesley lifted her chin and smiled at her.

“I love you so much, baby. I also love your mother in my own way and I know that she will miss you more than I will. would you do me a favor and take care of her?” Wesley asked as he planted a kiss on her cheeks.

Angel lifted her little hands and caressed her father’s face gently with affection. It was her signature way of saying goodbye whenever he was leaving for a long business trip.

“I promise, as long as you will continue to visit me frequently. I will miss you so so much, Daddy. “Angel said as Wesley hugged her one more time before handing her back to Caroline who was speechless.

He then picked up the documents and stormed out of the house in a jiffy.

That was when the reality of what just happened hit her head, that she was now alone with her daughter. The worst thing was that she had invested so much in this marriage emotionally and physically.

Seeing it end was not an easy thing. She was even uncertain on how she was going to recover from all this and start all over again.

Angel brushed her hair softly and hugged her tight “Don’t worry, Mommy. We will be fine. I promise that I will never leave your side. I won’t make you cry like daddy did. “

“Thank you, baby.” She said glad that she wasn’t alone. Her sweet little girl will help to wipe her tears.

She then took her phone and called a number. She had mustered it in her head but she wouldn’t dare call it during the last 5 years of her life.

The phone was picked up and she heard the familiar magnetic and deep voice” Hello Sweetheart! Finally, you remembered me.” The man said with a neutral voice but she knew that he still held his grudges for the decision that she made 5 years ago.

“Daddy, I want to come back home. Will you forgive me please?” she begged while crying.

The phone was silent for a while before the man spoke with a commanding voice.” It was about time, sweetheart. What took you so long. Come home immediately because I need you urgently. “Dismas Morgan said sternly but she was just glad to hear his voice. She didn’t even know that she had missed him that much.

She had missed the way that he used to pamper her when she was little. She was the star of the house until a tragedy she never wanted to remember occurred that shuttered her life forever.

“Okay, Daddy, but first I have one more pending matter to do over here then I will come home immediately after.” She said sounding mysterious but Dismas knew better, Caroline was a very stubborn woman and she will end up doing what she wanted to even if he forbade her.

“Well….as long as it doesn’t have to do with that kid who spoiled your life. Please remember that I have to take my revenge on him. Honey, stay safe and bring me my granddaughter in one piece “the man said and Caroline’s face turned dark instantly.

“Daddy, you don’t need to. This is my own fight and I am going to fuck up that man so bad. He will never ever forget my face. Don’t you know how I can hold grudges. Sorry but he messed with the wrong person. Anyway, I don’t want to talk about him. Just send me a car at around 12.00 PM, I think that I will be done with what I want to do.”

“I understand. See you tomorrow “he said and hung up the call.
