Chapter 2

Third POV

“Aside from your status as a princess and a doctor, you're just worthless. No wonder no one loves you in your family.”

“I warned you to stay away from my presence. I'm so ashamed to have people call you my wife, I would rather marry a fellow man than you who can't give me any baby.”

His face turned stone cold and stared at her with terror. “You thought you could manipulate me into smiling at you by playing pranks on me again?”

“I'm tired of you! Honestly tired of you!” He barked.

“Cameronnnnnn!” Her heart fell upon hearing these words of his. They were much more painful than a two-edged sword.

“And stop trying to act like a good wife because no matter your pretense, you're still not eligible to be my wife. I will always root for the woman I have at heart, soon she'll be out in public.”

At this point, Estella couldn’t help with the tears that rolled down her cheeks. “I'm sorry I couldn't make you happy, I never knew I had a genetic disorder before marrying you. My family pushed me out even when I wasn't totally prepared to start a family.” Estella felt her excuse sounded lame but her marriage to Cameron was arranged by both her family and Cameron's family in order to strengthen the tie between them. Estella’s family holds the political world while Cameron's, the business world. Both families thought that by joining both children in marriage, even against their wish, will bring lots of benefits to them. Cameron didn't have a noble character, he's harsh and cold which made Estella, the less loved between her and her twin sister pushed to Cameron.

So far the union has been a disaster, but both families gained what they actually wanted.

The one Cameron truly wanted was her twin sister, Riana. He made several advances to her but she bluntly refused him because of his cold nature, even though he wasn't cold towards her.

“I know you didn't want me but I'm so sorry things turned out that way. Couldn't you just forget the past and face the present?”

“I'm focusing right on the present now but I doubt if I have a future with you.” Cameron snapped to Estella’s greatest shock.

He picked up the files on the table which he had planned on returning home to give to Estella. “Here, these are for you.” He muttered with a cold voice and a face without emotions that Estella couldn't even guess what it's about until she read it.

“What?” Estella balled out her eyes, taking a deeper look at the files, then back at Cameron.

“We are done.”

“Wh…what do you mean? Hope you're kidding right now?” She stared at him feeling numbness all over her body, her hands shaking.

Cameron said nothing but glared at her.

Seeing that he wasn’t answering her, she shook her head in horror. Tears rained down her eyes in droplets, she couldn't get hold of them again.

“Divorce? Why?” She said every word with her heart breaking into pieces.

“I want nothing to do with a man as I do say. Riana is one woman I've always loved from the beginning. I'm glad she's kind enough to give me a chance to know the great love I have for her.”

“No!!!”

“This can't be!” Estella sobbed, shaking her head. “My sister never wanted to see you, how's this even possible? Tell me you're saying this to hurt me, I'd be okay. Just tell me you're lying,” she pleaded.

“Hmm,” Cameron scoffed.

“We've been dating for two years now, a trial date and she has seen the whole of me. She declares me worth keeping.”

“When I asked her to be my wife, she readily agreed.”

“I'm sure she'll give me the joy and babies I've deeply wanted all this while.”

Estella sank to her knees trying to grab Cameron's legs but he moved away from her as though she's dirt.

“I've already made up my mind. I don't want you!”

“Nothing you ever do will make me want you. You should be glad I'm honest with you,” he said to her. At this point, Estella had cried her eyes out. The last time she felt this kind of pain was when her family went on a family vacation abroad without her even when she was on leave and single by then. They told her she didn't belong. It was an outright rejection, same as she's witnessing now.

“I want you to return all the gifts I bought for you all the while we've been together, drop them at the estate and get only your personal belongings and leave!” He barked at her.

“Never let me set eyes on you again.”

It was sure to turn out a huge gossip when the receptionist at the ground floor of the hotel saw her crying. They were popular for spreading rumors in the hotel but this time, nothing mattered for Estella. The news of their separation will be out anywhere, it doesn't matter who will spread it or how fast it will be announced.

She walked through the grounds of the five-star hotel to the parking lot where her driver was waiting for her. She'd already cleaned her eyes, she was sure to get some paparazzis recording her if they saw her crying.

Being a less loved princess at home didn't stop her from getting attention from paparazzis who are always looking for fresh rumors to spread. She didn't want to answer any questions from her driver either.

When she got into the car engine, her driver started the engine and reversed out of the parking lot. “Take me to the estate,” she muttered and turned her face towards the window. This was the very last thing she said, the rest of the journey had her submerged in her thoughts creating a gloomy silence in the car.

She still wished this was a joke. As she often believed everything will be alright, she had no hope now. Little did she know that her hope would fail her this time.

Chapter 3

Third POV

She even wondered if she had told him outright that she's with quadruplets, he might not have handed her the divorce letter. She blamed herself for putting in the suspense.

Upon pulling up at the gate of their luxury estate, Estella’s heart dropped like she was going to have a heart attack. She got out of the car slowly, her eyes looking at the magnificent mansion she has called a marital home for four years.

“Could this be the last time I'm seeing this?” She whispered to herself.

She walked slowly inside the ground floor and entered the elevator, going straight to the third floor where her apartment with Cameron was. For months now, they stopped sharing a room but their rooms were on the same floor.

She saw the servants busy packing in some luggages, she traced the place they packed it into and it was Cameron's apartment.

“What's going on here?” She barked, announcing her presence. Everyone paused, staring at her with shock, some were confused.

“What's going on here?” She repeated, then she snapped her fingers at the head servant, gesturing to him to come to her. “Charles, tell me what's going on here?”

“Ma’am,” he bowed. “We all awoke seeing luggages lined by the corridor, our master called us and instructed us to take them inside his apartment. Then you arrived, supposedly from work urging us to get them in.”

“Hmm–” Estella clapped her hands, smirking. Everything seemed all like a joke. She was about to say something else when one of the doors of the room opened, her very room and a young woman identical with her in everything stepped out.

“What's going on, why are you obstructing them?”

“Riana?”

It was at this point it became clear to everyone that the one whom Cameron was talking of wasn't his main wife they knew but his wife's sister. The servants all gasped, they were even happy that their boss was beginning to treat his wife better by asking her to pack into his apartment.

It was most disappointing to Estella. The reality she had run away from was chasing right after her and had caught her now. Her jaw dropped as she stared at her twin sister.

“You heard him right? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be stubborn again this time around. Take your things and leave!” Riana commanded her.

Estella froze, she couldn't imagine her younger sister was actually giving her commands in the house of a man she officially married.

Estella blinked her eyes in a bid to clear her vision, in case she was hallucinating. She shut her eyes again and opened them but the scene was real.

“May I ask if you've gotten insane? Where did you take this audacity from?” Estella lashed out at Riana, pushing her. She stumbled and almost fell. She wanted to advance further towards Riana but the servants grabbed her.

“I pretty much see you being so pathetic here,” Riana shot her saliva right across Estella’s face. “A stinking, desperate bitch. Clinging to a man who doesn't love you and trying to prevent him from being with the love of his life.”

This was the greatest insult Estella has ever received. She wanted to pounce on her sister and beat her mercilessly but the servants’ grip was very strong. She even got to wonder who they were standing for right now.

“I can’t bear to be the wife of one of the richest capitalists in the world. The most eligible bachelor, the man of my dreams. I was blind not to see his worth many years ago but now I can see.” Riana stated all these in style to hurt Estella the more, she saw the bloodshot eyes she was staring at her with but knew she could do nothing to her as long as the servants were holding her.

“I'm really grateful to my prince charming for agreeing to kick you out of his life.”

“Keep being a slut, playing with men's cock and massaging their private organs, trying to get them fertile when you yourself isn't one. I wish the hospital knew this, they would kick you out too and you will have the best miserable life which suits you,” she chuckled.

Estella dropped her head, shaking it, fighting the tears that were coming out of her eyes by shutting it tight. Hearing her blood sister wish her this hurt her to the bones. Without her work she wouldn't be able to feed when both her family and Cameron ignored her.

Starting from being an urologist, it wasn't her dream but her family's decision. She wished to study Engineering in college but the royal family needed their first daughter to become a medical doctor. The only spot that was left in the medical school was urology, her family couldn't manipulate her way into another medical department.

Medical school was void of all those. Even if they had their way, she's pretty sure they wouldn't be concerned as to make her happy. They wanted her as a medical doctor and which medical course she studied didn't matter.

“You know Estella, you don't even have the right to talk to me?” Riana walked up more boldly towards Estella, here the servants released her.

“This is my second pregnancy for Cameron. I couldn't bring my first son here because of the paparazzi, take a good look at him.” She pulled out her phone and played a video of a baby who looked so much like her playing in the nursery.

Estella pulled her mouth wide open. “So you're pregnant with another baby for him?” She stammered and Riana nodded with pride.

“Gosh!”

Riana stuck her phone closer to her face. She assessed all features of the video to check out if it's AI generated but to her widest shock, the video is real.

Cameron's statement came up live in her head. “We've been dating for two years now–”

“So this is true?”

“Oh, all these while you thought I was joking with you? How foolish you are?” Riana blinked her eyes in disgust and bent to pick one of the luggages.

Chapter 4

Third POV

“I feel so bad even giving you my previous time to explain things,” she sighed.

“Shut up. You bitch!!!”

“Cry of a desolate bitch. Nothing much!” Riana lashed out, walking into the apartment, then came out to pick some more things.

“Get these things in, stop looking at us like zombies!” She lashed out at the servants who scurried into the apartment with the remaining luggages. She dismissed them thereafter, in as much as they would want to stay and see the end of the feud between these two sisters, they couldn't.

Estella closed the gap with Riana, speaking directly to her face. “I'm sorry if you see me as infertile but let me shock you, I have four babies inside my womb for Cameron.”

Riana’s jaw dropped, she began moving backward while Estella advanced towards her. “It doesn't matter who first gave birth, your baby isn't a legitimate son. He never married you but me and I'll make sure I expose this secret baby to the world–”

Her speech was cut short by Riana who pulled out a chemical spray from her handbag and sprayed all over Estella’s face, running away to a safe distance.

“Now you can die with your report! I came here, fully prepared for you.” She turned around and walked away.

Few seconds upon inhaling the chemical, Estella felt her breath seizing. The next moment she fell to the ground with a loud sound and a loud cry.

“Helppppppp!” This was the only thing she could say before she passed out.

The servants heard from where they were hiding after they had pretended to go away, they came rushing out. Seeing Estella on the ground, motionless, they froze in horror.

“Call the ambulance!” They shouted to one another.

“Should we inform our boss?” They questioned among themselves, quite confused. Riana was there in her room, listening to all their panics, she laughed to herself knowing nothing can save Estella. She sprayed a very deadly chemical that would kill both her and her babies in a few hours.

“She thinks she can kill my joy!” She smirked. “I've taken care to hide my son from the public and she wants to expose Cameron and I?”

“No! It would never happen.” Her face turned bold and sinister. She went to bed, relaxing for a bit while thinking about what just happened.

She was rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital she worked at which is the closest best to the estate. Without any delay, she was placed on oxygen and treatment began.

It seemed like a dream when Estella finally opened her eyes and breathed herself without oxygen. It was two days later. To her, it seemed like she was in a dreamworld. She rose up to a strange room, painted white and giving a hospital aura. Though a doctor, she felt strange.

She readily identified this as the Intensive Care Unit.

“What am I doing here?” She asked the same time the doctor walked in. She blinked her eyes several times as she stared at the doctor. He was new at the hospital, so far the most charming man she has ever seen. She felt he didn't belong here, he looked like an angel sent from above. Seven feet tall, slim and muscular, his hair was dark and spiky. With his white doctor's coat on, he looked even more gorgeous. His head wasn't yet raised up as he was focused on his iPad but even without seeing his face clearly, his beauty was obvious.

When he finally raised his face, Estella swallowed saliva. The moment his blue gorgeous eyes met with hers, Estella felt something inside her sprang up. It must be her feelings. She stiffened up as the doctor walked towards her on the bed.

“Oh! You're awake?” His voice was deep, touching every veins in her body. She got stuck staring at him, her lips pulled wide apart to respond to his question but no words escaped her lips.

“I'm Mark Adrian. You can call me Dr Adrian.” He said further.

“Humm!” Estella managed to nod her head, falling gently to the bed in a bit to keep a little space between her and Adrian as he said his name is. He came in to check up on her. She would have loved to have close contact with him but his beauty and charms prevented her.

Adrian observed her, he gave a light grin. He pulled over his stethoscope to record her heart beat but the moment his hand fell on her chest, she shrieked.

“What's wrong?” He asked, trying to pretend as if he didn't know what she was doing. Estella shook her head. He recorded it and gave a nod.

“You're getting better.”

“Oh, doctor!” She muttered in shock. She immediately remembered carrying four babies, and she rubbed her belly repeatedly.

“Are my babies alright?”

“Yes, I'm pretty sure they are alright so far as you're alright,” he answered her. “You will confirm with your gynecologist later, that's not my job anyway. I'm just an emergency specialist.”

“This is your department?” She stammered, asking with so much concern on her face.

“Yes?”

Adrian wondered why she got so anxious. “You're a permanent doctor? I'm working here as well as an urologist and I've never set my eyes on you till now?” She was slowly opening up, taking this as the chance to know more about this rare beauty of a man.

“Well, I'll not say so.”

Her heart dropped, she held her chest and coughed a little.

“What's wrong?” Adrian panicked at the sudden reaction.

“I live overseas but got called in to handle your case since I did both my first and masters degree in clinical chemistry and my housemanship as an emergency specialist.”

When Adrian mentioned this, her heart flew somewhere. “Someone called you?” She was wondering if it was Adrian, then she would believe that there was hope.

“No, the hospital.”

Estella swallowed the lump in her throat. “So none of my relatives, even the royal family came?”
