ROME, Italy
Lisa wearing a loose nightdress, straddled the baby in her arms trying to make him sleep. Finally, after an hour of struggle, he went to sleep as she put him in his cot bed and very gently covered him with the small quilt.
The door of the nursery was opened very quietly as a man wearing a robe entered, he walked very silently and circled the woman's waist from behind.
The woman knew from the very moment of his existence when she heard the door being opened as she smiled while holding his hands on her stomach.
"Is he asleep?" He asked in a low whisper.
As the woman nodded her head, he rested his head on her shoulder as they both watched their baby sleeping while his beard face tickling her neck and face.
He smirked and teased her more while rubbing his face on her neck more, she laughed but soon covered her mouth afraid the child would wake up.
Augustus then stopped teasing her as he held her up in his arms and walked out of the nursery.
While Lisa gently closed the door with her free hand.
Augustus walked straight to his bedroom as he gently put her on the bed and threw away his robe.
"Finally the little monster leaves you alone." He joked as he came on top of her.
"Don't call my son a monster," Lisa complained lightly as he watched her dragged the nightgown up over her head and tossed it aside.
"Hahaha I should be the one offended by him, he has taken you for 24 hours, and also you and mom named him Tommaso. Seriously my son's name is similar to your ex-husband Lisa.. That is too much now.." He said grumpily showing his displeasure.
"It was a coincident Augustus, mom wanted his name to be Tommaso as he looks like your twin. And so I named him Tom as a nickname."
Lisa explained to him calmly.
Since their son has born, they had been looking for a name but as a month passed by, they couldn't come up with a name just then Rheena Carlos decided to name her grandchild "Tommaso" which means "twin" as his facial features and his eyes all are similar to Augustus.
No one needs to do a DNA test to know it's Carlos's heir son. Rheena Carlos felt overjoyed when Lisa and Augustus agreed to her request but later when one day Maria called him Tom instead of Tommaso, Augustus frowned in displeasure and then realized that somehow he had ruined his future by agreeing to this name.
This name would literally haunt him for a lifetime.
In his presence, everyone called him Tommaso as it was strictly ordered by Augustus but when he was away everyone delightfully calls him "Tom"
"Fine,I don't want to ruin this beautiful night with my wife before that little "Tommaso" would call for you."
He said meaningfully as he started devouring her, Lisa's body has completely changed since she has given birth.
She has gained more weight than he would ever think, but still for him she is the most beautiful woman and he loves her more than anything.
Lisa has no doubt that Augustus loves her a lot but she still felt bothered by her appearance as Augustus still looked handsome and charming and she, on the other hand, had turned into a cow with big curvy breasts, a bulging stomach, and a fat butt.
Her arms and thighs are not double but thrice more than she was before.
She was absent-minded when she stared at her husband's well-defined figure, she felt depressed and seeing no response from her.
Augustus angrily pulled himself away from her as he sat abruptly.
"Lisa stop focusing on other things, focus on me." His tone was harsh and complaining.
"Augustus I don't think I am beautiful now." Lisa sat beside him.
"I had told you this before, you were always beautiful to me. And I mean what I said." He held her face and made her look into his eyes. Lisa bit her lips feeling nervous and embarrassed.
"I am sorry, Augustus." She apologized as she has again ruined his mood.
"Fine, then kiss me now." He said with a smirk Lisa didn't disobey him as she sat on his lap and then kissed him passionately arousing his desires as he excitedly again pressed her down.
"Never ever mention again that you're not beautiful. You have no idea how much I crave for your body, Lisa." He confessed, his voice was thick with desires between his strong thrusts making Lisa felt lovable and special.
They continued their work happily as Tommaso slept peacefully for the whole night.
Next day,
As Lisa turned her sore body she felt someone tapping her cheeks with little hands, she then felt something wet on her face as she opened her eyes and was stunned to see Tommaso sucking her nose like a lollipop.
She frowned and then gently pulled him away. "What are you doing Tom?"
"Tommaso....!" A loud roar came from the door as Augustus entered with a feeder in his hand.
Lisa rolled her eyes, "Yeah Tommaso.. Why did you leave him alone here what if he would fall from the bed?"
"He's too cunning, he's never going to try to step down from this bed.. Aren't you?" Augustus picked him up from Lisa's embrace as he put the feeder in his mouth to drink.
"I can breastfeed him," Lisa told him as she stretched her hand to hold the baby.
"Go and shower first," Augustus ordered her strictly as she looked down and realized that she is not wearing anything at all. She can't let her son touch her while she is dirty.
She then stood up to go to the bathroom to take a shower, just then Tommaso started crying as he blabbered "mom" with difficulty.
Lisa walked back to Augustus to comfort their son but Augustus simply turned him away.
"Shameless boy, you're going to see your mother in the shower. Don't forget her husband is still here." He scolded him seriously and Lisa chuckled listening to his childish words.
"He's a baby." Lisa tried to reason with him but the next words of Augustus stunned her. "A baby who would turn into a man."
"Augustus..." As she tried to make him understand, he simply walked out of the room with Tommaso still crying in his arms.
"You take shower, I will take care of him."
BOOM
Lisa was frozen at her place for a moment. "What was that?" She mumbled under her breath completely at loss from Augustus's behavior.
Lisa went down after wearing a loose shirt and trousers, the villa Augustus had bought has 3 floors with a terrace floor separately.
The first floor has Simon's room, his study room, a theater, a gym, and an indoor playroom for him.
The second floor has Maria's room, her study room, a mirror room for her ballet dance practice, and the other two rooms are currently empty as they will shift Tommaso's stuff to that room once he will grow.
On the third floor, Augustus and Lisa have their own bedroom, a study room for Augustus office work, a library, a music room for Lisa and one spare room is currently the nursery of Tommaso as Lisa has not hired any nanny for Tommaso so she needs to keep him near her on the same floor.
While Maria and Simon stay on different floors.
The ground floor has a big kitchen with 5 rooms, one room was for Ms. Davis and the other 4 are the guest room Augustus has prepared in case his mother stayed here with him or his friend Bella gave him visits or Lisa's friend Sasha comes over with her boyfriend Lester.
He has deeply thought about his future before buying this villa.
They all dine together on the ground floor daily and at night everyone would go back to their respective floor to sleep.
Lisa has not hired the servants to stay at her place, she and Ms. Davis managed the cooking while the other staff people came later for the cleaning and would go back after 9. No servant stayed at their home.
Lisa wanted this home to be a family home and she didn't want any servants to invade their personal privacy.
Augustus always respected her decision and did exactly the way she wanted their house to be.
Lisa walked down to the ground floor as she could hear silence on the other floors indicating that kids has woken up and down for the breakfast.
Lisa went straight to her family that was all sitting around Tommaso, trying to please him but from time to time Tommaso would throw away the toys grumpily as he couldn't see his mother.
"Daddy, he threw my doll," Maria complained as she looked at him in confusion.
"Stupid, you gave him doll give him a car he would like it.. See.." Simon told her as he pulled up a car in front of Tommaso and made a gesture of it flying in the air.
Tommaso looked at him with interest in his eyes, but after few minutes he got bored as Simon gave him the car to hold and he threw it too.
As he blabbered "mom" and started crying.
"I think he needs Mommy, Daddy." Maria looked at Augustus as she told him.
"Why he always needs his mother, I don't understand this," Augustus said absentmindedly as he held him up and tried to calm him.
"Stop crying. She is not only your mother we all have a right on her too." Augustus scolded him as he was running out of patience and also irritated by the continuous voice of him crying.
Seeing his little son got scolded, Lisa took away Tommaso from his hands angrily. "Is this the way you should calm a child?"
Augustus was completely at a loss of words as he looked at Tommaso in Lisa's embrace that was completely quiet now and had snuggled in her arms like a small bear.
"Little brat.." Augustus cursed under his breath feeling annoyed.
"Lisa, we are a family. You should give us all equal time right?" He said as he looked at Simon and Maria to join him but they completely shook their head in disapproval as it was completely a bad move from Augustus.
Since Tommaso has born, Lisa had been very attentive to him and not only her but everyone in the family but no matter what every time when Augustus lose his patience Lisa would catch him at the perfect time, and all his hard work and goodness would go in waste.
He wasn't wrong asking for the time from his wife but he didn't know that newborn kids want more attention than anyone.
He had tolerated it for months and now he is getting out of patience as Lisa has stubbornly refused him to hire any nanny for him.
"Does anyone have any complaints from me?" Lisa asked angrily as she turned to Maria and Simon.
"We didn't say anything," Maria murmured looking at her with puppy eyes as Simon said beside her. "It's just the dad."
Augustus shrugged as Lisa stared at him with anger in her eyes. "I am going to make breakfast now." She yelled as she doesn't want to create an argument in front of the kids.
Ms. Davis greeted her politely as she had prepared all the things ready for breakfast, Lisa put Tommaso in a baby chair she put on the apron and tied her hair in a scarf, and started cooking.
"Eggs." She asked Ms. Davis without even looking up as an egg tray was passed to her, she cooked the breakfast without even looking up.
When she put the breakfast into the plates and finally looked up to Ms. Davis to take it out to kids. She felt surprised to see Augustus standing in the kitchen, he was the one helping her now.
She held the plates and started walking out ignoring him, as Augustus pulled her back. "Lisa, you know I love you." He told her as he pecked her lips.
"Yes, but you need to stop complaining about certain things Augustus. I don't feel happy to not give you alone time. I also missed the alone time we had together but right now our son needs me so I have to be there for him."
"Yeah, I know I know... just don't get angry with me. We are having our reception in few days I don't want you to get more tired. Let's hire a nanny for this week only what do you say?"
"Augustus..." she tried to refuse but Augustus stopped her. "At least during the reception, we need someone to take care of him. He is not used to staying in the huge gathering right?"
What he said was right, Lisa thought about it for a moment, and then she nodded her head in approval.
"So, now that it comes to the reception, you remember that my sister Laura will also be there, right?" Lisa put down the plate and looked at Augustus seriously.
Augustus' face turned gloomy immediately. He didn't like Laura, even though he was the sister of the woman he loved the most.
Lisa looked at Augustus' face and she said worriedly: "Augustus... Laura did all those wrong things just because she was young and ignorant. But she also learnt from her mistakes, she went to Boston, to go to school alone and without any support. Now she finally came back to see us, I hope you can try to forgive her and be nice to her. Don't let her be hurt again here, okay?"
"Hey." Augustus sighed and stepped forward to hug Lisa tighter. "Darling, since this is your request, I can only... do as you say. But, listen, if she takes any other actions again, I will still treat her severely."
"Thank you, Augustus. I'm sure Laura wouldn't do that." Lisa smiled and kissed his cheek. "Now, let's go have breakfast."
At this time, Tommaso's low roar came from a distance.
"What? Don't forget that you are here because of me, little one." Augustus' thoughts returned to Tommaso.
After he finished speaking, he deliberately kissed Lisa on the cheek in front of her, then picked him up, and walked towards the living room at the same time.
"You need to control your anger, Tommaso you're too tiny for it."
Lisa laughed out loud behind them. She felt completely stunned by the way Augustus talked to Tommaso and always teach him things like he is a little man, not a six-month-old baby.
The sensation of a plane landing down on the ground could be felt when a loud bump was heard as the wheels of the plane hit the ground.
Laura touched her chest and could feel her heart beating unevenly.
The slowing sensation of the plane was making her heart beating worst, her stomach churned at the feeling.
As everyone started getting their way out of the plane, Laura remained rooted in her seat.
After a while, a stewardess approached her, and just then Laura came back to her senses and stood up to depart.
After going through the process of getting her luggage to all official requirements, she finally walked to the gate as her heart felt like dropping down with each step.
She had told her sister that she would live in a hotel, she refused immediately but after she tried to convince her she agreed with difficulty and took her promise that she would stay at her home for dinner and then at night she could leave for the hotel.
Lisa already knew that Laura will try to stay away from her as what happened in the past she still felt guilty and remorse about it.
As she stood at the gate, she held her coat tightly feeling cold although the sun was shining brightly on her face. She still felt cold, her hands felt frozen as she tried to keep them in her pockets to warm them.
Her eyes caught a man who had her name written on the board. "LAURA."
She walked toward him, "It's me" she told him plainly, he looks like a driver.
The young man smiled politely as he bowed to her. "Hello Miss Laura, Mrs. Carlos has sent this ride for you."
Laura felt uncomfortable after hearing the word, "Mrs. Carlos." She once wanted to get that title so desperately.
She forced a smile as the man took the suitcase from her hand and pulled it to his car while guiding her on the way out.
He opened the door respectfully as Laura seated inside. She leaned on the seat and closed her eyes, she has no interest in looking out at a beautiful city like Rome. Her mind was filled with worries but she tried to soothe her heart by saying, "It would be over soon."
Yes, she has planned that she would stay for less than a week, and then she would leave. After all, she is here to attend the reception of her sister as she promised her before.
The car stopped after a long time. Laura took a long breath as she inhaled the fresh wind filled with the scent of flowers calming her nerves a little.
But as she walked to the villa door, all her memories started flashing into her eyes.
She walked to that villa, the night before she left this place. The door opened and she saw Ms. Davis greeting her politely, she greeted her back as she walked inside.
It was 10 'o'clock and the house was quiet. She walked to the living room, the time she came here first there was nothing except Augustus lying on the floor lifelessly with the shattered pieces of wine bottles all over him.
And now, she could see the six-seater sofa, a huge dining table with sets of chairs, the living room was decorated so nicely it looked lively and pleasant to the eyes indicating the presence of people in the home.
She smiled bitterly as she stared at the spot Augustus was lying that night and she stood a little far from him wearing a sexy dress with heavy makeup on her face, Augustus opened his eyes slowly as he looked at her and then pounced at her hungrily.
THUMP
...
"Laura..." Lisa squealed with joy and Laura jerked back her head shaking away all the past memories and coming back to reality.
"Sis..." Laura opened her hands wide to hug her but stopped when she saw the small chubby baby in her sister's arms. "Little Tommaso..? Oh sis he is so cute.." Laura asked while grinning at the baby.
She then gave her sister a side hug as Tommaso was refusing to leave Lisa. Laura laughed when she saw Tommaso making face when he got a little squeezed by their hug.
She then clapped her hands and tried to make him happy as he left Lisa's embrace and went into Laura's arm.
Lisa was stunned to see this change as well as Ms. Davis, Tommaso never gets comfortable with any stranger so fast he even made faces when Augustus, Maria, or Simon tried to hold him from Lisa's embrace.
"Wow... it seems Tommaso really likes you, Laura.." Lisa told her as she gestured for her to sit and then asked Ms. Davis to bring tea and cakes for them.
"So how was your flight?" Lisa asked Laura as she sat beside her.
"It was okay sis." She told her while playing with Tommaso in her arms.
"And... Boston....? How was it? Are you okay there? Any problem with study or.... anything?" Lisa asked her in hesitation.
Laura turned to her and told her with a serious face, "Sis, I am not a child. I am 19 and I can handle myself alone."
"But Laura.." Lisa was still feeling sorry for her as Laura stopped her. "Sis, I am absolutely fine. Trust me." She squeezed her hand assuring her.
Lisa smiled softly as she held her hand.
"Where are Simon and Maria?" Laura asked to change the subject.
"Oh, they have gone to school. They would be back by 3 until then you should go and rest OK." She told her in concern.
"Yeah Sis, I will later. First I will play with this chubby man.." Laura chuckled as Lisa too laughed and told her happily, "haha well Augustus too called him a little man."
Laura's laugh was frozen as she heard his name but she still tried to keep her smile as she was feeling uncomfortable hearing "Augustus" name.
"Pa....rk...Pa.....rk..." Just when Laura was feeling distressed, Tommaso blabbering in her arms and she looked at Lisa to translate what he wants?
"He wants you to take him out to the back garden for a walk," Lisa told her with a smile.
Laura chuckled while kissing his chubby cheek. "Little fellow, I have just arrived and you have started ordering me hmm." She complained while mimicking a baby's voice and Tommaso laughed at it.
Laura held him up and took him out, while Lisa stayed inside as she was feeling cold.
Laura walked with Tommaso in the back garden as she looked around and Augustus's words were ringing in her arms, "That night he told her that he would arrange the back of home for his kids and indeed he has put a lot of effort to make it a good playground for them."
She then thought of something and peeked at the entrance of the villa, as expected she saw a huge swing there.
Augustus told her that night that he wanted to keep a swing and wanted to enjoy good weather with his wife, Lisa.
She sighed sadly, "What had got into me?" She murmured to herself as suddenly Tommaso's fat hands patted her cheek.
She looked down at him with a smile, "Tommaso I feel so guilty and sorry for my sister, Lisa, and brother-in-law Augustus. I had tried to separate them and create misunderstandings between them. I was so bad back then."
She sniffed as she tried to control her tears from falling.
