My Husband Hurt Me To Save Another Woman Chapter 1

The second year after her adoptive brother Zevian left the wealthy family for Amaris, Amaris was ready to divorce him.

"Lin Yue, you are a lawyer, please help me prepare a divorce agreement, I want a divorce."

"It's so hard for you to be with Zevian, don't you think about it again? He loves you so much, will he agree to a divorce?"

"Prepare it, he will sign it."

Amaris smiled bitterly, does Zevian really love her?

Two years ago, she learned that she was adopted, and the Dravenson family finally found the real daughter Amaris.

The kidnappers kidnapped both of them at the same time, and the Dravenson family only saved Amaris, allowing her to be forced to lose her virginity by the kidnappers, and also took away one of her kidneys.

Only her adoptive brother Zevian saved her, and even broke off relations with his family for her.

He said he liked her, didn't mind her being dirty, and wanted to be with her.

To help her heal, he loved her recklessly, as if trying to erase every shadow with warmth.

This morning,on the living room table, he pressed her down from behind, his movements deep and unrelenting.

Amaris’s eyes turned red, a misty glaze veiling them as she whispered, “Brother, I can’t take it anymore. Let’s stop after this time, okay?”

Zevian had always been intense, his needs running deep, each time stretching longer than the last.

But when her fragile plea reached his ears, he gave a few final thrusts before letting go.

Then, his palm brushed over her hair with gentle affection, his voice low and warm, “Alright, we’ll stop here. Amaris, you’ve done so well. In my heart, you’re the purest girl in the world.”

He said it every time. And every time, the words poured straight into her chest, wrapping her in warmth.

“You’re so good to me,” she murmured without thinking, her eyes glimmering with trust, soft, innocent, and wholly dependent on him.

Upon hearing her call him “brother” in that soft, honeyed voice, Zevian’s eyes darkened with heat, his breath hitching with desire. He growled lowly, “Enough now. Don’t tempt me. Let’s get you back to bed.”

Amaris’s lips curved with a mischievous glint, her eyes gleaming with playful defiance.

“Okay, brother…”

The last two words came out slow and teasing, sweet as syrup, only fueling the fire smoldering in him.

Zevian drew in a deep breath, reining himself in. Instead of surrendering to the urge, he scooped her into his arms, carried her to the bathroom, washed her gently, and tucked her into bed like she was made of glass.

“Be good and stay here. I’ll go clean up the living room.”

Have a good rest. We have only obtained the marriage certificate before. We will go to the church to hold the wedding in a few days.

As the door clicked shut behind him, Amaris’s eyes fell on something resting near the pillow—a small pendant she had once given him, something she believed would keep him safe. It was meant to stay close, always guarding him from harm.

She picked it up carefully and tiptoed out of the room to bring it to him.

But just as she reached the turn by the stairs, she froze.

Zevian was on the phone, with her adoptive parents.

Their voices pierced through the silence, each word echoing like a slap across her soul.

“Zevian, Aveline’s kidney failure has relapsed. She won’t hold on much longer. She needs another transplant within a month.”

“Should we stage another kidnapping and take Amaris’s remaining kidney for Aveline?”

“We raised her all these years, and she still refused to donate. We had no choice but to fake the last kidnapping to teach her a lesson.”

Each word sank into Amaris like a dagger twisted deep. Her body was locked in place, frozen as if lightning had struck her where she stood.

Then came Zevian’s voice, deep, steady but stripped bare of warmth. The gentleness she once knew was gone, replaced by ice.

“Understood. When I take her to get our wedding ceremony, I’ll arrange another kidnapping. We’ll remove her second kidney for Aveline.”

Her adoptive parents let out a breath of relief, their earlier tension fading.

“That’s good. We were starting to think you’d actually fallen for her after sleeping with her for two years.”

“She’s such a fool, falling for you, never realizing the first kidnapping was your doing… that it was you who forced yourself on her.”

“Don’t mess this up. Make sure to get that kidney.”

Amaris nearly lost her footing, her legs trembling beneath her as her world began to shatter. The truth hit her like a tidal wave, leaving her mind blank and her ears ringing with a deafening buzz.

“Zevian, why are you silent? Don’t forget, Aveline is your real sister. That girl means nothing. With the way you treat her, don’t tell me you’ve actually fallen for her?” her adoptive father scoffed.

After a brief silence, Zevian’s voice came through, smooth and indifferent.

“Fall for her? How could I possibly fall for her?”

“She’s nothing but a tool to satisfy my desires.”

“I never loved her. I never planned to turn the act into anything real. She stole eighteen years of Aveline’s life, so it’s only fair I take something back.”

Amaris dug her nails deep into her palms, the pain sharp but distant, like it didn’t even belong to her. Her face went pale, her eyes hollow.

So all those tender words were lies.

Even the nightmare of the kidnapping that had been his doing all along.

She had been just a lonely orphan once, taken in by the family and treated like a treasure. Zevian had wrapped her in affection, making her believe that maybe, just maybe, she had found her place in the world.

She thought those bright days would last forever.

But the moment Aveline returned, they discarded her like yesterday’s news.

Aveline had developed kidney failure. Even though other donors were available, they still chose to rip hers away.

She had only mentioned that the hospital had found a matching donor, and Amanda and Alaric called her ungrateful.

Back then, when both she and Aveline were kidnapped, only Aveline was saved.

She became a scandal, whispered about behind every closed door. A walking tragedy.

In her most broken moment, Zevian had appeared like salvation, claiming he had severed ties with his family just to care for her after the surgery.

She had felt filthy and stained, afraid he would be repulsed.

But he kissed her again and again, whispering sweet lies, telling her none of it mattered to him.

She believed it. Believed they were in love.

But now, those very lips that once soothed her had spoken the truth; she had been nothing more than a tool.

He never loved her.

His words rang in her head like a curse, each syllable slicing her heart open, leaving it raw and bleeding.

Expressionless, she returned to the bedroom, still holding the pendant she had once prayed over for his safety.

She walked to the bedside, picked up her phone calmly, masked the storm within, and made a call.

On the other end, the line connected instantly, as if they had been waiting.

"Mom and Dad, I'm willing to go home. Wait for me for a few days. I'll leave after getting the divorce certificate."

"Okay, okay, I'm glad you're back. Let your brother pick you up."
