Sophia kept telling stories all the way home. He kept on discussing his first experience of diving and surfing with Tristan. "I'm really happy and enjoying our trip today."
Tristan smiled faintly. The man then replied. "If you want, we can schedule this sport every week or month."
"Certain." Sophia turned to look directly at Tristan's face. The woman immediately nodded. "I agree that we go diving and surfing once a week or two together. I'm very happy to have a sports partner like you."
"I like you too, Sophia. Really like you," Tristan muttered with a bland smile. The look on his face was hard to tell. Which even made Sophia dizzy.
"What did you just say?" Tristan glanced, then shook his head. "Nothing. I'm just saying that I'm also happy to have a sports partner like you."
Sophia nodded. Believe what Tristan just said. "Do you want me to take you directly to the apartment? Or do you want to stop by my house first?"
"Your house?" Sophia asked in disbelief. It is nothing. He is fairly new to the figure of Tristan. Then now, being invited to stop at his house made Sophia a little awkward.
"Yes, to my house. Right now, there must be a barbecue party. Who knows you'll want to join," Tristan offered once again.
"No need, Tristan. I don't like it when I suddenly stop by your house. Surely later, your family will ask a lot of questions to yourself or me," Sophia politely refused.
"Don't worry. My family is very nice. They won't interrogate you with all kinds of questions either." Sophia was silent for a moment. She was considering whether to accept Tristan's invitation this time to stop by. "You'll be fine, Sophia. I just stopped by to get to know my family. Who knows you'll fit in? We can get married the day after tomorrow," joked Tristan carefree.
Which of these words almost made Sophia's heart drop instantly. "Marry?"
Seeing the confused look on Sophia's face, laughter immediately escaped from Tristan's lips. "I'm just kidding."
"Oh my, Tristan!" Sophia squeaked as she pinched the arm of the man next to her. "You're giving me a heart attack."
"But, if you take it seriously, I'm fine too."
Once again, Tristan made Sophia's heart beat wildly. She was sure, and her face must have turned red from the shame of being teased constantly like this. "Arsene!"
"Yes, yes." The man laughed. "So how about it? Want to stop by my house for a bit?" "Okay, if you insist. But I can't stay too long."
Tristan nodded in understanding. The man then increased the speed of his car to get to his residence as soon as possible. Entering the housing complex in Kensington, London, Sophia could guess that Tristan was indeed a man from a very wealthy class.
Only prominent businessmen can afford to own a house in an elite area like this. And when the man's car had entered the courtyard of one of the houses, Sophia hastily grabbed her shopper bag, which was in the back seat. Rechecked the makeup and smoothed a little hairdo.
"We have arrived." Tristan got out of the car first. Walk around, then help open the door for Sophia.
"Thank you very much."
"My pleasure."
Tristan then led Sophia to enter the house into the back garden immediately. Over there, there was Raphael with his two friends and Aurora, who was also with one of his best friends.
"Tristan, you're home?" Raphael scolded when his eyes caught the blue-eyed man's presence. "Yes, Uncle. Just arrived."
"You don't want to introduce us to the beautiful woman you're bringing with you?"
Tristan nodded. He motioned for Sophia to step forward, approaching the position where his family was gathered. "Introducing, Uncle, this beautiful woman named Sophia,"
Raphael smiled. The man kindly reached out his hand, inviting Sophia to shake hands. "Nice to meet you Sophia. I'm Raphael Gamaliel Smith. I'm both an uncle and a parent to take care of Tristan."
Sophia nodded. Politely welcome Raphael's hand. "Sophia Walters Walters. Nice to meet Uncle."
"Walters? Are you Alfonso Craigh Walters's daughter?" guessed Raphael. "Yes." Sophia nodded. Correcting Raphael's guess. "Uncle know my Papa?" Now it was Raphael's turn to shake with a faint smile. "Of course I know. Who doesn't know a successful businessman like Alfonso," he said. "Then please enjoy the food that is already on the table, Sophia. Make yourself at home," the man continued kindly.
Getting good treatment from the Tristan family made Sophia breathe a sigh of relief. She had imagined the no-no before. After getting acquainted with Raphael, Tristan also invites Sophia to familiarize themselves with Aurora. It's the same with Raphael, the woman with long hair is also friendly to Sophia.
"Nice to meet you Sophia. I hope we can be good friends."
Satisfied with getting acquainted with all his family members, Tristan invited Sophia to tour the house. Shows the woman where are the best spots that Tristan often goes to spend time, relax and contemplate.
"Your house is very comfortable. Plus your harmonious family must be very pleasant living here." Tristan nodded in agreement.
"Of course it's fun. Especially if I can bring you into this house. Then lock and torture you to my heart's content," Tristan muttered. But instead of saying that, he said the opposite. "I also feel grateful, even though I don't have parents, at least I can still feel immeasurable happiness." "In that case, thank God." Sophia then glanced at the clock on her wrist; it was already seven in the evening. He had said before that he couldn't stay at the man's house for long. "It's late. Can I go home now?"
"I'll take you."
After saying goodbye, the two immediately left the Tristan residence. Raphael seemed to continue to watch the two until their shadows disappeared from view. Reaching a cell phone from his trouser pocket, Raphael called someone. When the call was picked up, he spoke hastily.
"Keep an eye on Tristan. He just came out of the house. I don't want you to be careless in the slightest. Tell me all the moves he makes out there," he order.
Tristan had just finished a meeting with one of the clients until the afternoon. When he was about to return to the room, he accidentally ran into Aurora, who was about to get ready to go home. "Aurora, is your work done?"
Hearing her name being called, Aurora immediately turned her head. Smiling, the woman answered kindly. "It's done. That's why I'm getting ready to go home."
Tristan nodded in understanding. He raised his hand in the air, signaling Aurora not to go anywhere. "Then you wait here a moment. Let me get my briefcase first, and then we'll go home together this afternoon."
Aurora didn't refuse. The woman just agreed to Tristan's invitation. She is even happy that she can commute together every day like most couples. Think of it as training before becoming a real wife.
"Come on, let's go to the car," said Tristan after returning with the briefcase she had taken earlier.
Before Tristan's car left the VIP parking area, the man's cell phone rang. It looks like a call from someone forcing it to be picked up immediately. Glancing at who the caller was, Tristan hastily accepted the call. Don't let this good opportunity be lost because he carelessly ignores it.
"Hello, Miss Sophia," said Tristan softly. Even sweet.
For God's sake, Anyone who heard that man's voice would indeed be lulled. Aurora, sitting next to him, even turned his head in surprise at Tristan's attitude.
"Hi ... where are you? Are you still in the office?" Sophia asked curiously.
"I just finished work and was planning to go home. How about you?"
"Well, I was waiting for the driver to pick me up. For the sake of getting rid of boredom, I chose to call you."
"Ah, I see," murmured Tristan. Then an idea popped into his head. "Why don't you take me home with you?" bargained the man earnestly.
"No, Tristan. Don't bother. Besides, the driver is on his way to pick me up."
"It's all right, Sophia," Tristan coaxed once more. "Of course, this isn't a hassle at all. Did you forget that my office is only a few blocks from the building where you shoot?"
"Yes, I know," replied the woman on the other end. "But---"
"There's no need to hesitate, Sophia. You seem like someone who just met me."
Silence for a moment. Then soon, Sophia agreed to Tristan's invitation. "Then I'll call the driver, so he doesn't have to pick me up."
While holding his cell phone, Tristan smiled imperceptibly. Either a sincere smile or there is another meaning implied there. "All right. You wait a minute. I'll be there in five to ten minutes."
After ending the call, Tristan immediately directed his car to the place where Sophia worked. Listening to and watching Tristan's movements, Aurora, who was now looking at the surrounding streets, dared to ask the man.
"Are you seriously, Tristan? You want to pick up Sophia right now?"
While focusing on the road in front of him, Tristan seemed to nod. Of course, he was serious about this decision. "Yes, Aurora. I'll pick her up and drop her off. You'll know what the reason is. Therefore, I shouldn't miss this opportunity one bit."
"You want to get Sophia's attention?" Once again, Aurora confirmed.
"Of course. I want to impress her with all the attention I give. If necessary, Sophia must be crazy about me."
Aurora immediately turned to Tristan. Hearing this man want to give all his attention and even intend to drive Sophia crazy made him a little reluctant. Jealousy immediately hit. The whisper in Aurora's mind was heard. She doesn't want the man she loves and loves to share her attention with other women.
"To be honest, I don't want you to carry out this plan, Tristan," Aurora muttered quietly. "Why? How will I get Sophia's heart?"
Aurora took a deep breath. Shaking slowly, the woman replied to Tristan's words.
"I'm just afraid, in the end, you fall in love with that woman."
A chuckle escaped Tristan's lips after Aurora finished her sentence, even though nothing was funny about what the woman said. "How could I fall in love with a daughter whose father destroyed my family, Aurora."
The laughter on Tristan's lips disappeared instantly. It was just replaced with an aura of hatred that was unstoppable. The two men's hands even seemed to grip the steering wheel so tightly. To the point that his knuckles turned completely white.
"The purpose of my life right now is one," continued Tristan. "Getting that woman and then making her suffer. Once satisfied, it's the turn of the Walters family to get their revenge."
Aurora looked Tristan's face closely. She was seeing how her usual warm face turned cold in an instant. Tristan was like a man with two different personalities. On the one hand, he could look so evil, like a relentless devil.
But on the other hand, he can turn out to be so sweet, like an angel in fairy tales that we often read. When the car that Tristan was driving arrived at the building where Sophia worked, the man's face immediately turned relaxed.
A smile even returned to his lips. Even when he reprimanded Sophia, it seemed as if there was no slightest hatred towards the woman.
"Hi..."
Tristan purposely got out of the car to follow Sophia, standing waiting in front of the building. "Let's go to the car. " Tristan pointed at his black car, which was parked neatly in the courtyard of the building.
Without hesitation, the woman followed Tristan's steps. Following directions to sit k in the rear passenger seat. After sitting comfortably, Sophia made a gasp when she found Aurora's presence. From this, he knew why Tristan had asked him to sit in the back.
"Hi Sophia," Aurora greeted warmly. She even turned her back to look directly at Sophia's face. "Glad to see you again."
"Hi..." Sophia replied. Even though he felt a little uncomfortable, he still had to put on a no less friendly face. "So you were with Tristan the whole time?"
Aurora nodded. But before he could answer, Tristan, already in the car, took over the conversation.
"Aurora, because our houses are closer, I will take you home first. After that, I will take Sophia."
"Okay. You manage how good it is."
