Chapter 1

The order I had been working for half a year was about to be palced.

As long as I got this order, the company would be able to overcome the crisis of capital shortage.

However, while I was printing files just now, I accidentally saw that my name was not on the team list reported by the team leader.

Everyone in the company knew that I was the one who had been working on this order.

I angrily went to argue with the director. The director said that he would definitely investigate this matter thoroughly and asked me to go back and wait for the result.

The next day, I received a notice from HR that I was fired!

Everyone said that I was lucky enough to get this big order, but only I knew that it had taken me much time and efforts to get this order.

When everyone got off work on time, only I stayed up late every day in the company to sort out the materials and modify the plan. For this reason, I even bought a camp-bed and put it in the company.

When they had dinner together, I ate instant noodles every day. It was not that I wanted to eat instant noodles, but that they were the most convenient. I could eat them on the way to meet clients.

When Evan, my team leader, offended the client because of some trivial things, I lowered my head and apologized for him. Even on the way to the hospital, I thought of sending the latest plan to him first.

However, when I was lying on the hospital bed, no colleagues came to visit me. Instead, Heath, the person from the cooperation company, came to visit me with fruit and a contract.

"Andrew, to be honest, we planned to hand over this project to another company, but your persistence moved our president. Take a look at the contract. If there is no problem, let's sign the contract at a certain time."

This news was even more effective than a miracle pill. Three days later, though I was still sick, I came back to the company to deal with the following matters.

People are in high spirits when involved in happy events. Although no one knew what I was busy with during my three-day absence, it was not difficult to guess from the smile on my face that there was progress in the project.

"Andrew, why are you so happy? Is there any progress in the project?"

I was stopped in the corridor by the manager with a big smile on his face. The project had not been going well because he had had put a lot of obstacles in the way. In the face of his sudden concern, I had to be more careful.

"No. It’s just that there are some details that needed to be modified."

The manager left after saying, “If there is any problems, you can consult Billy.” This made me a little uncomfortable.

Billy was the team leader of the second group and entered through the back door, which was a well-known secret. The reason why the manager didn't support our project was that Billy was not involved in this project.

The most important thing at the moment was not to think about these hidden rules. The most important thing was to get the contract done.

I stood there respectfully and watched the manager leave. When he was far away, I turned around and went to the administrative department’s office.

When I finished all the registration procedures and looked at the seal on the contract, I was finally relieved.

As soon as I came out of the administrative office, Evan called me and asked me to go to his office.

Chapter 2

As soon as I entered the office, Evan got straight to the point. “You’ve worked hard during this period of time. Give me the contract.”

I clutched the contract tightly and took half a step back. Seeing that I did not respond, Evan looked up at me and said, “Do you think you can hide it from me? Give me the contract quickly.”

Only then did I remember that the staff from the administrative department had been sending messages when I was there. It seemed that they had informed Evan.

Anyway, I couldn't take such a big order by myself, so I simply handed the contract to Evan.

Evan took the contract and glanced at it briefly. “Well done! The company will be saved this time. Our team”s performance this year will definitely be the best!”

As I wanted to remind Evan of reading the supplementary terms of the contract carefully, he interrupted me. "Andrew, I'll take the contract to the Director Hayas later. Don't let the manager know about this. I'll help you get a bonus later! You've worked hard during this period of time. I'll decide to give you five days off and go back to rest."

There was nothing out of the ordinary on Evan's face, but I was still a little worried and reminded him, "Sir, there are some supplementary terms in this contract..."

"I'll take a closer look. You can go back now."

Since Evan had said so, I couldn't say anything else. I had been working overtime for half a year, and my body had long been overdrawn. At present, I just wanted to sleep.

After I had arranged for all the work, I went home, turned off my phone, and fell asleep.

I didn't know how long I had slept when I was awakened by hunger. I was dizzy and didn't have the strength to go out for dinner. I could only order takeout.

While I sat in the small apartment waiting for the takeout, I flipped through my phone in boredom.

In addition to the message reminder sent by the cooperation company that we must meet the additional terms, I did not receive any other messages, even no messages from the online work group.

I was absent-mindedly eating the takeout when I suddenly felt that something was wrong. I immediately got up and went to the company.

When I arrived at the company, everyone was so busy with this project that no one noticed me.

How could there be no messages in the work group when they were already so busy?

"Hey, you, go print these materials."

A colleague walked up to me and handed me a stack of documents without raising his head. Before I could ask about the progress of the project, he rushed over to do other things.

Well, anyway, it was all for the project. I forgave his rudeness. Besides, colleagues should help each other.

I walked to the workshop in high spirits and began to print the documents. During the printing process, I picked up a piece of paper and read it. It seemed that this was the conclusion of the project written by Evan.

I glanced at it briefly and couldn't help but cover my mouth and snicker.

Evan deserved to be the team leader. In the story, he first wrote down how difficult the project was to carry out, which almost made people shed tears. Then he thanked the leaders for their strong support, but he did not mention the manager. Unexpectedly, Evan was quite vengeful.

However, when I saw the next page, I couldn't smile anymore.

My name was not on the list of participants at all!
