What?
Jason even didn't know why I came back.
I knew he was unreliable, so I came back as soon as I made sure that my mother-in-law was okay, but it was still too late.
Wearing my pajamas and my slippers, Fiona looked at me with a sneer.
"Sue, are you suspicious of Jason or me? You are so petty. I have told you many times that we broke up a long time ago. Why are you still so suspicious?
"You came back in the middle of the night. Aren't you tired?"
Of course, I was tired, but it was not because of her.
I wiped away my tears and looked straight at Jason.
“Why didn’t you answer the phone?”
Seeing my red and swollen eyes, he subconsciously lowered his head.
"I was watching the game. I didn't hear your call."
"Have the doctors been here?"
He nodded.
"They went in the wrong place. They said my child's life was in danger. I thought they were crazy. Amy was sleeping well. So I drove them away."
Jason suddenly looked up at me.
"How do you know that?"
He actually asked me how I knew.
He said the doctors came but he drove them away.
Amy had a chance to survive, but he drove away her lifeline.
Fiona was still provoking me.
"Sue, are you monitoring Jason? Why do you do this? Are you worried that we will get back together? Don't think too much. I won't be a mistress.
"But..."
Fiona wanted to say something else, but I didn't want to listen anymore.
I pulled her hair and pushed her aside.
"Get out! You don't have the right to speak here!"
I used a lot of force and pushed her to the ground.
Jason's face darkened.
"Sue, are you crazy? I just asked Fiona to watch the game with me. You don't watch it with me, but why don't you let her watch it with me?
"Why are you always so overbearing? You don't respect my hobbies at all!"
In this situation, Jason said that I didn’t respect him.
I sware he hadn't even looked at Amy since I left the house.
Amy was now lying quietly behind me.
But what about her father?
He helped Fiona up from the ground and angrily accused me.
"Apologize to Fiona. You have no reason to hit her."
Jason was right. The person who deserved to be beaten was not Fiona, but him.
Raising my hand high, I used all my strength and slapped Jason in the face.
"I won't hit her. Jason, I'll hit you, okay?"
Jason was even angrier because I hit him in front of his first love.
He looked at me fiercely.
"Sue, what's wrong with you? Why are you humiliating me?"
Seeing he still wanted to save face, I slapped him again.
"Jason, it's been five hours since your mother asked me out. Have you ever seen your daughter?"
Jason seemed to finally understand why I was angry. He thought it was just because he didn't go to see Amy.
"She's sleeping soundly. Why should I go to see her? Don't you also sleep soundly with her when you are home?
"I just didn't sleep with her, but I didn't go out."
Jason thought he made a great sacrifice.
Fiona said, "Other people go to bars or KTV rooms to watch football games because the atmosphere there is good. But Jason was willing to watch it at home for your daughter's sake. What else do you want him to do?"
I looked at Fiona with cold eyes.
"I told you to get out. Don't you hear it?
"If you don't leave, I'll kill you. Do you believe it?"
Fiona was so angry that she threw herself into Jason's arms.
"Jason, look at her. I just felt sorry for you and spoke for you, but she looked like she wanted to kill me."
Jason hugged Fiona and looked at me with cold eyes.
"Sue, you went too far tonight. You must apologize to Fiona. Otherwise, I will teach you a lesson."
Did he want to teach me a lesson?
I walked sideways so that he could see Amy's small and lifeless body.
Jason saw it but seemed not to see it.
"Sue, stop making a fuss. Fiona and I watched the game all night. We are very tired. She will stay here tonight, and I will send her back tomorrow morning.
"You are tired too. Take Amy to the guest room to sleep."
Jason wanted Amy and me to sleep in the guest room, so Fiona and he would sleep on my bed in the master bedroom.
What a joke!
As soon as Jason finished speaking, Fiona proudly lay down on my bed, next to Amy.
She reached out and pushed Amy aside.
"Jason, take this damn girl away. I'm sleepy. You can continue arguing. I'm going to sleep first."
Fiona pushed Amy away and lay on my bed in front of me.
She even called my daughter a damn girl.
Her words kept repeating in my mind.
I thought Fiona was too much.
But I suddenly didn't want to chase her away.
I held back my tears and smiled at Jason.
"She asked you to take Amy away. Go ahead."
I wanted to see where he would take Amy.
Wearing my nightgown, Fiona lay on my bed with her back to Amy calmly.
"Sue, since I dare to sleep in your bed so openly, it means I have no feelings for your husband. We are just friends."
I didn't want to hear what Fiona said at all. I just wanted to see how Jason would hold Amy.
Jason bent over and reached out his hand to Amy's head.
He was so obedient to Fiona. She asked him to take Amy away, and he would do it.
Why didn't he stay with Amy when I asked him to?
As I watched Jason quietly, I resisted the urge to kill him.
The next second, Jason's face became panicked.
"Sue, come and take a look. What happened to Amy?"
He patted Amy's face.
"Amy, what's wrong? What happened?"
Jason was very panicked with sweat dripping from his face.
I was very calm because I had already panicked before.
Jason kept asking me, "Sue, come over. Her face is purple. Why?"
Fiona immediately turned over from my bed in fear. Stretching her head over, she took a quick look at Amy and immediately jumped off the bed.
"Jason, what's going on?"
Jason didn't know either, and he kept patting Amy's face.
"Wake up, Amy! Daddy is calling you. Do you hear me?"
Amy couldn't hear it anymore.
She couldn't hear it an hour ago.
Jason held Amy carefully and pressed her against his chest.
"Let's go to the hospital immediately."
He stumbled out holding Amy in his arms, but when he reached the door, he realized I hadn't followed him.
He shouted, "Sue, why are you standing there? Can't you see that Amy's face has turned purple? What have you been doing here for so long?
"Tell me, what were you doing?
"You were only jealous of Amy but didn't even think about Amy!"
Jason was a scumbag who deserved to die.
I rushed over and snatched Amy from his hands, gently putting her back on the bed.
Then I grabbed Jason's favorite baseball bat from behind the door.
"You like watching the game and betting on the game, huh? Well, watch it now."
Grabbing the baseball bat in one hand, I pulled Jason's clothes with the other hand and dragged him in front of the TV.
"Watch it now."
I raised the baseball bat high and hit his head hard.
