I walked towards the park. I heard from someone that Ernest was enjoying the fresh air there. I smiled as I looked at the pregnancy test that I was going to give as our wedding anniversary present.
I couldn't imagine how Ernest would react when he found out about the two blue lines that we'd had for seven years.
However, all was shattered in an instant.
"Do you really love my daughter, Ernest?" my stepmother asked.
"I love Felice very much, Mom," Ernest replied with a serious-looking face.
My body froze, my eyes began to tear up listening to Ernest's conversation with my stepmother, Eleanor. The woman who had cheated on my father and ruined my little family.
Felice, Eleanor's daughter. She was the one who had usurped my position. In the past she had also taken my fiancé, Maxim. And now she was going to take my husband.
"Don't lie to Felice again, Ernest. I don't want my favorite daughter to be hurt by you! She's been waiting for you for six years!" Replied my stepmother with an annoyed look.
"Why would I lie, Mother? If I didn't love Felice, there's no way I would secretly donate Victoria's father's organs to Felice," Ernest replied.
My time began to stand still at the bitter truth.
My heart had been shattered into a million pieces.
"Keep your voice down, Ernest! What if Victoria finds out later?" My stepmother said in annoyance.
"My wife is too stupid, there's no way she'd know. Her father is old anyway, and I'm just hastening his death," Ernest replied to my stepmother.
I gripped my pregnancy test kit firmly, closing my eyes to hold back the emotions I wanted to let out.
"You cheater! Seven years you hid behind a mask, Ernest. Pretending to be the perfect husband. That poor girl loved you so much," my stepmother chuckled.
"It wasn't me who was the deceiver; it was my wife who was too blind for my love. I never asked her to love me. So don't worry, I'll divorce my wife and marry Felice as soon as possible. I'll do anything for Felice, Victoria means nothing to me," Ernest replied with an evil smile.
My tears just flowed. The pregnancy test I was holding in my hand fell over.
I turned my body around and ran into my room.
I sat on the cold floor, hugging my knees.
The husband that I had been proud of in front of everyone had betrayed me. Seven years we were together, it was all in vain.
I dreamily stared at the bottle of medicine on the table. My hands began to tremble as I reached for the bottle until I started to drink it.
My head hurt so much, my chest was so tight. However, it's all nothing compared to my broken feelings today. More and more, my vision began to blur until everything went dark.
My eyes reopened, I smelled the smell of medicine that was very pungent to my nose.
The first sight I saw was Ernest.
"Victoria, how are you?" asked Ernest, gently hugging my body.
I froze stiffly as he hugged me.
"I'm fine," I replied, releasing his embrace.
"No way, what happened? Why did you take that much medicine?" asked Ernest while holding my hand.
I shook my head. Suddenly my stomach felt sick at his attention.
"Fine, if you don't want to tell me. But I will always be there for you. Please don't hurt yourself again. I'll go crazy if you leave," Ernest said, hugging me again.
The warm embrace has now turned into a fire that has burned my love.
He began to kiss my forehead and both cheeks.
"Take it easy, Ernest. I just took the wrong medicine," I replied, smiling.
"You don't have to worry me anymore! I love you," he said, kissing my lips.
I nodded, letting Ernest see how obedient I was. How crazy I was for his love.
I must remain a good wife in his eyes.
After the conversation I heard earlier. I'm sure Ernest isn't really sad. He's just happy to see my condition. The tears and worry for me were all fake.
Ernest, my stepmother, and Felice have let me down. They ruined my happiness, killed my father, and ruined my life.
I promised to avenge them all. They must feel the loss and destruction without a trace of it.
After lying in the hospital for a long time, Ernest left me to go on a business trip. It's been two days since he returned.
My memory flashes back to when Ernest said goodbye to leave.
"Are you really leaving? I'm sick, Ernest," I said as I hugged his arm.
"Just for two days, Victoria. After my work is done. I'll be back in your arms," Ernest replied, hugging me, and I started waving goodbye as he left.
All this time I had been watching him, so I found a secret room at the back of my house.
I had lived in this house for many years, and I had only just discovered that there was a basement.
I stepped inside and turned on my flashlight to get through the dark hallway.
My body froze when I saw hundreds of intimate photos of Ernest and Felice on the wall.
My heart was beating fast, my tears started to fall when I saw them. Their hugs and kisses slapped my heart.
I stepped further inside until I entered a small room.
There I saw several piles of document files. My hands began to pick them up and read them one by one.
My chest tightened when I saw Ernest's approval of my father's heart donation to Felice.
In addition, there were receipts for jewelry, dresses, hotels, and vacations, all purchased in Felice's name.
I also saw Ernest's estate documents. Everything had been changed to Felice's name. There was nothing left for me.
Slowly the walls of my strength crumbled. This betrayal felt very real. Ernest had broken my heart.
It wasn't long before I heard the echoing sound of laughter. I hid behind the wall.
My heart was beating fast at the arrival of the two people I now hated. Felice and Ernest were laughing over my pain and suffering.
Ernest had returned from out of town. He lied, he did not return to my arms. Instead he returned home to the arms of another woman.
My whole body was very hot when I saw their intimacy. It wasn't just photos that I saw, now I saw their actions firsthand.
It felt so disgusting when they touched each other. The brief peck to the hot kiss made my head boil.
I cried softly. My legs couldn't stand perfectly. I started to collapse on top of my disappointed heart.
"Until when do I have to witness all this?" I said to myself.
"Thank you, Ernest, for loving me. You must divorce Victoria immediately, then help me get the property!" said Felice, hugging Ernest happily.
"Soon, dear, everything will happen. We've been waiting for this for six years, and now is the time," replied Ernest, returning Felice's hug.
"Good, Ernest, but how do we get Victoria's property?" said Felice, releasing Ernest's hug.
"Take it easy, dear. Tomorrow on my birthday, I'll get her drunk and force her to sign an agreement to rename her family's heirs. Everything will be renamed to yours, dear," Ernest replied, kissing Felice's lips.
I clenched my fists after learning of their evil plan.
"You are very good, Ernest. Victoria's family had to be destroyed. After her mother, who died from being poisoned by my mother. Then her father died in that accident. And now Victoria, she has to experience the agony of life!" Felice said with an evil smile.
My chest felt more and more tight after hearing about the death of my entire family, all because of their actions.
"Take it easy, dear, I'll do everything you tell me to," Ernest replied, hugging Felice's body intimately.
I ran away to let Felice and Ernest spend time together.
My marriage was all fake, Ernest's love for me was also fake. They were all after my property.
I endured years of trauma because I made food for my mother. However, it turned out that the food I gave my mother had been poisoned by Eleanor, my stepmother.
Then my father died not because of a pure accident. And the most shocking thing was that Ernest secretly donated my father's heart to Felice.
I couldn't cry because of an asshole like Ernest.
My grudge was getting hotter, so now I had arrived at a small alley full of dark life.
"Wow, there's money walking towards me," said a tall and burly man looking at me.
"I need your help," I said, throwing him a stack of money, making him smile.
"What favors? Killing people, trading, or do I have to keep you company every night?" He winked at me.
"Make a mess at my husband's birthday party tomorrow. Then make me disappear from this world. And as for how, I'll leave it to you!" I said.
"Are you sure that's all?" he asked with a lopsided smile.
I nodded. I wasn't going to let their plan succeed. My family's treasure was mine, I wouldn't let it fall into the wrong hands.
"Alright. I'll make a mess that everyone will never forget. Then I'll make you disappear in a horrible way. I'll make sure everyone cries in front of your corpse!" He replied, smiling at me.
I laughed happily, feeling the little kicks inside my stomach. My baby is alive, my baby is healthy.
Today I was at the hospital to check my pregnancy condition before going to my husband's birthday party.
After regretting the foolishness I had done a few days ago. Because of Ernest, I almost killed myself and killed my baby.
"Take it easy, your baby is very healthy. Take good care of your baby, don't think too much about other things that affect your pregnancy condition!" The doctor explained to me.
I nodded. Fortunately, the medications I was taking at that time did not affect my baby's condition. However, how could I not be depressed when I saw that my husband had been having an affair with another woman?
My pregnancy had become my source of strength after the betrayal of my entire family.
After leaving the hospital, I met with my lawyer to draw up the divorce papers. Then after all that was done. Tonight I would carry out my plan just as Ernest would carry out his.
On the way, I got a lot of notifications on my phone. Everyone on social media was sharing photos and videos of Ernest's extravagant birthday party.
In the video, I saw Felice standing next to Ernest. They looked like the perfect couple. Both of them were throwing smiles and loving glances at each other.
My tears just fell, my hand touched my chest, which felt so painful.
Until finally I arrived at Ernest's birthday party.
I didn't see Ernest there, so I started looking for him.
However, I was surprised to see Ernest hugging Felice.
"Happy birthday, Ernest. I brought a small gift for you," Felice said by giving a gift box to Ernest.
"Thank you, dear. I like your gift. But why does it feel like something is missing?" replied Ernest while winking at Felice.
"Don't worry, tonight after we destroy Victoria. I will give you satisfaction," said Felice as she kissed Ernest's lips.
"You're getting naughty, baby!" replied Ernest, pulling Felice closer.
I gulped my saliva as I watched their heads begin to clash. The soft lips that once touched me had been divided for another woman.
My hands clenched into fists when I saw Ernest's hands touch Felice's waist aggressively.
"What an asshole!" I shouted loudly, startling them.
I couldn't contain my anger that had now exploded.
"Victoria, did you see everything?" asked Ernest, surprised by my arrival.
"I saw it all, your kiss was disgusting. What an asshole! Since when did you betray me, Ernest?" I said as I punched him in the chest. I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.
"I've been doing this betrayal for a long time, Victoria. Stop crying already! Your crying doesn't make my heart melt one bit," Ernest said as he pulled my hair away from him.
I cried out in pain. I shook my head.
"Let go of me, damn it! You bastard, Ernest!" I stammered.
Ernest moved his hand away from my hair.
He smiled wryly while looking at me. Then stroked my hair gently.
"Now you know about my relationship with Felice. I don't need to keep it a secret anymore. Felice and I have been in a relationship for six years," Ernest said, hugging Felice's waist.
Meanwhile, Felice smiled at me as if she was telling me that she had won.
"Why Felice, Ernest? She's my sister," I said, looking at him while crying. It broke my heart to hear Ernest's words directly.
Now I looked at Felice. "You're so ignorant. I took you in and thought of you as my real sister. You turned out to be just like your mother. A cheap woman! You can only ruin other people's families," I said and slapped her face.
"Victoria, you dare touch Felice!" Ernest said and slapped my cheek.
I felt my right cheek throb. My heart was burning with jealousy.
I stiffly looked at Ernest, who had dared to be rude to me.
"Don't blame it on the past, Victoria. Just blame your stupid father, he could fall in love with my mother. That means your mother is not attractive. Just like you are unattractive in Ernest's eyes!" said Felice, looking me up and down.
"Don't insult my family, you bitch!" I said angrily and pushed her body.
Felice fell down, spraining both her legs. Ernest helped her up and carried her. Now Ernest looked at me sharply, his eyes were red.
"Listen to this carefully, Victoria! What Felice said was right. You are not attractive in my eyes. And I married you because I wanted to get close to Felice. I have never loved you, not even a speck!" Ernest said, leaving me.
I stared at Ernest's departure, which was getting further and further away. I realized that Ernest had disappeared from my grasp.
