Brynn looked bashful as she slapped his back lightly. "That’s my good boy, always so loyal. Daddy won’t forget this. I’ll reward you properly later."

Just as Ronan reached down and yanked off his underwear, I kicked the door open.

I strode in, grabbed a glass of red wine, and hurled it straight at him. "You scumbag! Our son is dead because of you, and you’re still here flirting with another woman?!"

Brynn immediately shielded him, chin lifted arrogantly. "Calista, what do you think you’re doing? He stood up for me. Anyone who goes after him is going against me."

I let out a cold laugh, picked up another glass, and splashed it across her face. "You’re no better. Look at what you’re wearing. Anyone would think you’re for sale."

Her expression twisted instantly. She clenched her fist and swung at me. "I respected you as his wife before, but don’t push your luck!"

He shoved me hard. "Stop making a scene. And what’s this nonsense about our son being dead? Have you lost your mind? You’ve ruined another perfectly good gathering."

He wrapped an arm around Brynn and called to the others. "Let’s go somewhere else and have fun. Leave her here to cool off."

The group filed out, laughing.

I collapsed onto the cold floor, my heart feeling like countless needles were stabbing into it. I slammed my fist against the ground.

The next day, I went to his office with the divorce papers in hand, but I saw Brynn walking out of my office carrying my belongings.

"You’re pregnant anyway. You should focus on your health and rest at home. Brynn is someone I trust. She’ll handle the role just fine."

Brynn swaggered up to me and looped her arm around his neck. "Calista, take care of yourself and the baby. Leave Kade Group to us."

My reaction was eerily calm. "Fine by me. Saves me the trouble of resigning. If someone wants to take over a company that’s about to go bankrupt, I couldn’t be happier."

He frowned, pointing toward the reporters nearby. "Today is the day we sign a multibillion-dollar contract with the Virel Consortium. I invited the press to witness this historic moment.

"Don’t talk nonsense just because you have a problem with Brynn. Kade Group is on the rise. Its future is limitless."

At that moment, a man walked in. Ronan's face lit up with surprise.

"President Virel, you came in person?!" He hurried over with Brynn to greet him.

However, the imposing man didn’t even look at them. He flung a medical report straight into his face.
