I looked up at him blankly. If I hadn't known what Noah did behind my back, I would have thought he was thinking about me. However, I had already decided to leave Chilverstone.

"You’re right. I believe it can make everyone happy."

Noah was surprised and hugged me as he promised like an oath, "I will treat you well for the rest of my life, Nadine. When the child grows up, we will go sightseeing. Don't you always want to go back and see where you grew up?"

He kept talking about the beautiful future, but he didn't know that this perfect new life would never start, because I was leaving.

Noah was so impatient that he took Airish and the child back to Chilverstone within two or three days to hold a family dinner.

Noah panicked, thinking he was going to lose something. After all, he only shook his head. He was just angry. When Airish left, he most likely would coax her to forgive me.
