Chapter 2

Alita was pushed forward by the group of people.

Blood began to ooze from her shoes, leaving marks on the ground.

But the wedding shoes were red, so the blood was not obvious. Besides, no one would say anything even if they saw it.

Alita suffered so much that her forehead was covered with sweat and she looked back several times.

She seemed to be looking for something.

I silently took a few steps back and hid myself in the crowd.

Before Alita came to my house, I had shown my kindness and love to her, so now I was the only one she could ask for help here.

But how could I help her now?

Alita walked to the door of the first house in that pair of shoes.

Just when she was puzzled, I walked up and threw the thing in my hand to the ground.

Mary stood beside me and spoke in a cold and arrogant tone, "Kneel!"

People around cast excited glances at Alita, but Ethan, on the other hand, had a calm expression.

Alita looked at the people surrounding her in confusion.

"Why should I kneel?"

Alita looked helpless and cautious. She looked at me for help from time to time, but I crossed my arms and turned my gaze away coldly.

Seeing Alita was unwilling to kneel, Mary became furious and said, "Just kneel. You can't take the consequences if you delay the wedding!"

Only then did Alita react.

Almost at the same time, she widened her eyes in disbelief and said, "You want me to kneel here?

"Why? I won't kneel!"

She had been enduring being watched like a clown, but now she had to kneel in public.

It was a humiliation to her.

"Don't you want to kneel? That's not up to you!" Mary at the side suddenly looked gloomy and smiled sinisterly.

Alita still didn't understand, but I had already looked elsewhere.

Because the following scene was too cruel.

As Mary did this, Alita soon let out a scream, and her knee was hit hard from behind by a stick.

With a loud sound, her knee hit the ground.

Alita knelt right at the gate of the first house, tears welling up in her eyes.

But before she could speak anything, she was dragged to the next house.

It lasted until the evening, and after all the wedding procedures were completed, Alita officially married Ethan.

In the evening, Alita, who had been crying, was hugged and comforted by Ethan. She instantly seemed to be fine, became affectionate with Ethan, and completely forgot everything that had happened in the afternoon.

Well, how come I didn't realize she was so easy to please in my previous life? They were truly a perfect match.

But Alita still noticed that something was wrong with me.

When I was in school, I suddenly received a text message from Alita, asking me if I had any prejudice against her and why I suddenly seemed to dislike her.

I looked at the message and smiled coldly without replying.

That was because I had been too nice to her and she thought I was the easiest one to control in my previous life!

In this life, no one could mess with me again.

Because I lived in the high school dormitory, I didn't go home until the weekend after school. I found Alita sitting on the sofa, covering her face and crying.

I was a little confused.

This was unreasonable because they had just been married for a week.

After asking, I found out that Mary's bracelet was lost. At this time, Mary came out of the room in anger.

She cursed, "I've looked everywhere but can't find it!

"You're the only one staying at home all day, who else could it be except you?"

Alita was speechless.

Of course, I wouldn't speak for Alita, so I just carried my schoolbag and planned to go back to my room.

But Alita suddenly grabbed my wrist.

I saw a pleading look on her face.

"Alice, you know that I am not that kind of person, please help me...

"Didn't you like me much before I married Ethan? Just say something for me, and your mother will believe you!"

Alita looked at me with a pleading look on her face.

I looked at Mary and happened to meet her gaze.

It seemed as if I could dispel the suspicion on Alita with just one word.

But how could I do as she wished? I gently pushed Alita's hand away and said, "Alita, I have been at school this week, so matters at home should be handled by whoever is at home.

"Besides, my mother is not that mean. If you didn't take it, it must have been left somewhere. Just help her find it."

I said this calmly, shook off her hand and went into my room.

On the contrary, Ethan didn't say a word but looked a little weird.

According to the characteristic of Ethan, I could guess where the bracelet had gone. I said this just to give everyone a way out.

If they kept looking for it, maybe the bracelet would appear somewhere.

But Mary still insisted that it was Alita who took the bracelet, and shouted that if Alita couldn't find it, Alita would have to compensate at the original price.

"Who else could be except you? Could it be that my son stole the bracelet?"

Mary was so anxious that she became unreasonable.

Even had no way of arguing.

She didn't quite understand why Mary would get so angry just over a bracelet.

She didn't understand why the bracelet disappeared inexplicably either.

Suddenly, in despair, Alita turned her gaze to a pair of scissors on the table.

Ethan watched as Mary and Alita continued to argue, and he picked his ears impatiently.

He signed.

At this time, Mary was still busy and rummaging through the drawers.

"That's my heirloom. It's been with me since I got married. How could it just disappear like that?

"Oh my god, what bad luck!

"I am so miserable. My only treasure is lost!"

After I put down my schoolbag, I heard the noise in the living room, but fortunately, I was not involved.

I planned to come out and see what was going on after I finished my homework.

But I didn't expect that when I opened the door, I saw Alita's eyes suddenly become fierce and the scissors in her hand.

The light of the scissors shot straight at my head.

Suddenly, I felt a chill in my heart.

In a trance, I remembered Alita's look when she locked me in the house and turned on the gas.

For a moment, I subconsciously wanted to run to my room.

But before I could take a step, the scissors turned in the air and pointed straight at Alita's aorta!

It seemed to be about to pierce her skin in the next second.

Alita's hand holding the scissors couldn't stop shaking. She looked determined and desperate.

She almost shouted, "I've already said I didn't do it! Mom, why can't you just believe me for once?

"Do you want me to die in front of you to prove that I didn't do it?"

I took a step and was about to go back to my room quietly, but I didn't expect that Alita's gaze would instantly lock on me as soon as I moved. She then looked at me angrily, with murderous intent in her eyes.
