Unfavored Heir Takes Revenge Chapter 1

When I was taken back to the villa by the Shaw Family, I met Quincy who had taken over my identity.

As a control group of Quincy, I had a miserable ending in my previous life.

When I was eighteen years old, they said, "You are an adult now, there is no need for us to take care of you anymore."

So they threw me into a war-torn country. In the end, I died tragically in the gunfire of a foreign country.

That day, the Shaw Family was celebrating Quincy's 19th birthday, with flowers and cake, which was extremely dazzling.

After being reborn, I decided to ignore them and focus on myself.

But my parents regretted it, their eyes turned red. They cried and wanted me to go home.

*****

The bell for break rang and I was suddenly awakened.

Looking at everything in front of me, I knew that I had been reborn.

This was when I just started my first year of high school at the age of sixteen. It was also on this day that my parents George and Maria came to my school.

I saw them when my teacher called me out.

"Ruby, I'm your mother."

I nodded hesitantly. On the way back to the villa with George and Maria, they explained everything to me.

When I entered the villa, I saw Quincy wearing a white Haute Couture.

She took Maria's hand with a smile on her face.

"Mom, Dad, you're back. Is this Ruby?"

I watched their intimate actions and stood quietly like an outsider.

In my previous life, I was extremely jealous of her. So I asked George and Maria for the same things she had.

But the result was that they were disgusted with me and thought that I was just a vulgar daughter who could never compare to Quincy.

But weren't they supposed to? They owed me so much.

I just asked for a dress and a room, and they thought I was unpresentable.

It turned out that this blood relationship was so shallow.

Unfortunately, I didn't figure it out in my previous life.

Therefore, in this life, I planned not overreached to compete with Quincy in the Shaw Family.

"Yes, this is Ruby. You two are sisters from now on. Ruby, she is your older sister."

Hank came down from the second floor and looked at me with disgust in his eyes.

"Who is she to be our sister?"

Just like in the previous life, Hank was endlessly protective of Quincy.

But I was his biological sister, yet he didn't take me seriously at all.

It had been like this in both previous and present lives.

I glanced at Hank coldly, then replied calmly, "You're right, I really shouldn't be."

George sensed that my tone was not nice, and he immediately said to Hank,

"Apologize to Ruby. Ruby is your biological sister. How can you say such things?"

Hank looked at me with gritted teeth. His eyes were clearly filled with hostility, but he still called me sister reluctantly.

I didn't take it seriously either. What was the point of maintaining harmony on the surface? It was still a mess inside. I didn't care about these at all.

*****

After I returned to the Shaw Family. George and Maria transferred me to the Junior High where Quincy and Hank were studying.

My academic record was very good. I also had participated in many competitions and won awards.

When I transferred here, I was able to study in the best elite class.

Quincy's grades were average, so she could only study in a general class.

Everything was going peacefully, we studied independently without interfering with each other, which was exactly what I hoped for.

But Maria announced something the night before I entered school.

"Ruby, Quincy knows that you have good grades, so she wants you to tutor her."

Maria said this without feeling shame.

I looked at Quincy with burning gaze towards me, and I felt extremely disgusted.

"But my class is the best. Are you going to send her to the elite class?"

In my previous life, Quincy and I fought terribly. Maria had no time to care about my grades, so in the end she could only arrange for me to study in an ordinary high school.

This time, I finally got the opportunity, and I didn't want to change again because of Quincy.

Maria was a little stunned by my question. She probably didn't expect me to ask this.

That was right, you couldn't get into the elite class of the Junior High just by relying on connections.

All the students in the elite class had real talents and had passed the exams by themselves. If Quincy had that ability, there would be no need for me to tutor her.

So...

"Ruby, it's not easy to get into the elite class of the Junior High. Can you just help your sister and go to the general class to accompany her until graduation?"

I was shocked by Maria's twisted logic.

I originally thought that as long as I didn't fight with Quincy and lived obediently in their house until I was eighteen, I would be able to break away from them and live a good life on my own.

I never thought that after I had studied so hard to get into the elite class, Maria actually asked me to give up for Quincy.

And for three years! In the previous life, Quincy had the opportunity in every major exam, but she never got in.

In this life, she actually wanted to drag me down.

"No."

I said this one word firmly, and Maria looked a little embarrassed for a moment.

Hank couldn't sit still.

"Ruby, don't forget how you got into the Junior High. Now Mom only asked you to help Quincy, but you don't want to!"

Quincy stood in front of Maria choking with sobs.

"Mom, forget it. It's okay if Ruby doesn't want to help me."

Quincy was crying fiercely, and I looked at her coldly.

She had congenital asthma, and shortly after, her asthma flared up due to crying too hard.

George was filled with rage and slapped me in the face.

"You are such an ungrateful daughter, asking you to help your sister makes you feel aggrieved? I shouldn't have brought you back in the first place!"

"Her grades are not good so she can't get into the elite class. Am I the one who held her back? Why can't I think it's unfair?"

Maria looked up into my eyes and yelled, "Stop! Shut up!"

Hank pushed me away, they took Quincy to the car and went to the hospital.

I was their biological daughter and sister.

But they favoured an outsider.

In fact, it had been a long time since the last time Quincy had an asthma attack.

She knew how to avoid it, but she still cried so hard on purpose.

She never cared about grades, and everything she did today was just to make me realize my own place.

Only the blind people like the Shaws would treat her as a treasure.
