Chapter 1

Before going to sleep, I was passionately commenting in the review section of the book "CEO's Darling Wife."

Who would have thought that when I woke up, I would travel through time and space, becoming the role of a cannon fodder female character in this book?

I actually became the female protagonist's stepmother.

In the early stages of the story, the stepmother of the female protagonist constantly bullied her. However, in the later stages, the male protagonist retaliated against the stepmother, causing her family to be destroyed and leaving her to live a lonely life until old age.

While I was still feeling sorrowful about my fate, the door was forcefully pushed open.

"Mom, I'm starving!"

A voice of adolescence undergoing voice changes came through, followed by a boy who appeared to be around eleven or twelve years old running in.

I fell silent as I looked at the 200-pound overweight person in front of me.

It should be my biological son in the story, one of the antagonists in the early stages of the plot, who constantly bullied the female lead, Zoltan White.

I had no intention of cooking, so I just waved my hand.

"I'll take you out to eat later."

At this time, a thin girl followed in.

The girl looked timid, and her white school uniform was covered with stains. She said cautiously, "Mom...I'm sorry I came back late today."

It was the female protagonist, Eirene White.

My eyes lit up. It was my daughter.

But before I could do anything, Zoltan glared at Eirene with disgust and shouted, "You worthless! You always come back so late!

We're going to eat out. You just stay home and do your chores!"

As he spoke, he pushed Eirene hard.

She bit her lip tightly and trembled timidly.

I shouted at Zoltan, "What are you doing? This is your sister!"

He continued to curse, "What is she? Isn't she just a worthless daughter? Dad has already said that she is here to serve me..."

I looked around, found a clothes hanger, and hit him hard.

Zoltan immediately yelled in pain. He wanted to resist me, but it was too painful.

After hitting him, Eirene looked at me with sparkling eyes.

I grabbed his ears in disappointment and scolded, "If you can't learn to greet your sister correctly, don't go out to eat!"

When we went out to eat that day, Zoltan was like a defeated rooster, sobbing while eating.

Even though this chubby boy might seem harmless now, as he grew older, he would learn his father's violent tendencies and start abusing Eirene.

Upon returning home that day, I looked at Eirene's simple and cramped room. With a wave of my hand, I said, "Come on, sleep with me!"

As for Zoltan, I didn't even throw a glance at him.

Eirene cautiously finished taking a shower, and I noticed the crisscrossing scars on her body. These were likely the marks left from being beaten by her abusive father.

I stroked her head with heartache and found a reason for my sudden change of attitude.

"Sweetheart, today, someone reminded me, and I realized that the past physical and verbal abuse I subjected you to has caused psychological trauma.

I have made mistakes in the past, but rest assured, I will show you that I have changed."

Eirene stared at me in a daze as if she was meeting me for the first time.

Recalling the original plot, Eirene's biological mother passed away early, and her father was addicted to gambling and prone to violence. Soon after, he was introduced to the stepmother, who was me now in the story.

After giving birth to a son, Eirene's status in the family became even lower.

Eirene not only had to do household chores every day but also lacked any living expenses. Whenever the stepmother was displeased, she would freely beat Eirene, which led to the development of her timid character.

It was also destined for the future tragedy.

Chapter 2

As we slept through the night, a loud crash came from outside. Just as I opened my eyes, I saw a drunken man standing by the bed.

Before I could scream in fear, Eirene whispered, "Dad... Dad."

Oh, so this wretched man was Eirene's abusive, scumbag father, David White.

David muttered incoherently, "You, you worthless thing! Why are you here? Get out of here!"

Now I knew where Zoltan learned those foul language from.

I sneered. "Who are you talking about?"

David got angry. He subconsciously pulled out his belt and wanted to hit someone.

It was a shame because, in the real world, I was also a boxer as an amateur.

I hit him back, kicking him in the legs and chest, causing him to cry out in pain.

At first, he was still cursing, but in the end, he was in so much pain that he couldn't speak.

Eirene widened her eyes and stared at me in disbelief.

Finally, I threw David into the toilet and returned with a smile, saying, "Go back to sleep now."

That night, as soon as I fell asleep, I heard Eirene seem to have a nightmare and shout in panic, "No, I don't want to donate my kidney! My baby... Boo-hoo!

Mom and Dad, please stop hitting me."

I quickly pushed her, and she woke up from her dream with fear on her face.

I asked patiently, "What's the matter?"

Eirene was silent for a moment and forced a smile.

"Mom, I'm fine."

The next day, I got up early to make breakfast, and Eirene came out of the room with dark circles under her eyes.

I quickly invited her and Zoltan to come and have breakfast together.

She looked at me in surprise, her eyes filled with complexity, and quickly lowered her head to eat the oatmeal. Zoltan was still a little unhappy and picky about the food.

While Zoltan was still a junior high school kid, I planned to discipline and shape his character properly.

In the next few days, I demanded that he do housework and took the time to explain many concepts and principles to him in detail.

As for David, he had become much more obedient since he was beaten that day. He often started to stay out all night. Maybe he was afraid that I'd beat him again.

One day, when I was working, I received a call from Eirene's class teacher.

"Mrs. White, your daughter got into a fight with someone at school..."

Damn, I knew what plot this was!

I rushed to school, and just as I reached the office door, I heard a sharp female voice coming from inside.

"My child would never do something like that! It must be someone else's fault!"

As I entered the room, Eirene stood alone in the corner with her head bowed, and three or four girls were standing next to her. A middle-aged woman who seemed to be the mother of one of the girls was gesturing and saying something excitedly.

Upon seeing me, the homeroom teacher immediately exaggeratedly told me about the fights that occurred between Eirene and others during school, subtly implying that it was all her fault.

Looking at the bruises on Eirene's body and the provocative looks of the other four girls, I sneered and asked Eirene about the condition in a low voice.

She told me hesitantly that she had just been blocked at the corner of the stairs and beaten.

In the original plot, Eirene's background was not that simple. She was an heiress of a wealthy family who was maliciously switched. Her identity wouldn't be revealed until the end of the story after she married the male lead.

During her time at school, the fake heiress, Janet Quinn, had a sixth sense that made her dislike Eirene from the beginning. Janet continuously organized people to bully Eirene, while classmates turned a blind eye and teachers showed favoritism. Eirene's parents didn't care about her at all, and after receiving money from the other parents, they even turned around to educate her.

Chapter 3

A bunch of scum!

I took a deep breath and looked at the other parent with a smile.

"I believe in my child. If you insist that your child didn't hurt her, then let's check the surveillance footage."

A trace of guilt flashed across the middle-aged woman's face.

"It's you couldn't discipline your child properly. Is it necessary to go through all this trouble? You've raised a good-for-nothing!"

I raised my hand and slapped her.

The woman was shocked, screamed, and rushed over to hit me, but I kicked her down.

After realizing she couldn't beat me, she immediately slumped on the ground and cried, "Oh my goodness! Your child hits people, and you, as a parent, actually..."

Finally, the previously silent homeroom teacher spoke, "Mrs. White, what are you doing? This is a school."

I looked around and smiled.

"Call the police, then.

I also want to ask why such young children would do this. What if it leaves a psychological trauma on my daughter?"

Seeing that I was not easy to mess with and kept insisting on calling the police, Janet finally stopped hiding behind and looked at me with disdain.

"Ma'am, tell me, how much money do you want to stop pursuing this matter?"

I blurt out, "One hundred million dollars."

Janet widened her eyes in shock.

"Are you crazy? That's a big amount."

I retorted, "The psychological trauma my daughter has suffered is priceless.

Also, I always asked my daughter to bring a recorder with her to school. How about we listen to those recordings? I can even share them online for people to comment on."

Eirene looked at me in surprise.

It was because we didn't have a recorder. I was just bluffing.

Janet was at a loss for words for a moment. She was bad but not stupid. After all, the Quinn family business mainly dealt with youth products, and the scandal of school violence would definitely have an impact on the company.

Finally, because I refused to cooperate, the situation came to a standstill, and the teacher had to call Janet's mother as well.

Strangely, when Eirene saw her, she quickly took a few steps back and lowered her head.

Eirene's biological mother, Michelle Quinn, was a very beautiful woman. After comforting Janet, she said with some dissatisfaction, "The Quinn family donates so much money to the school every year, can't you settle this?"

Janet immediately approached her mother affectionately and said, "Mom, it's all their fault! You have seek justice for me."

Michelle quickly comforted her, "Sweetheart, don't worry, these poor people are just greedy!

You must have been hurt..."

I remember the plot. In the early stage, when Janet bullied Eirene in school, the Quinn family all knew about it. But they thought Eirene was insignificant and was just a poor person. They even helped cover up Janet's behavior.

Faced with Michelle's mockery and sarcasm, I just insisted that I had video evidence.

In the end, Michelle reluctantly gave 50 thousand dollars as compensation for medical expenses, and Janet was forced to promise to apologize during the flag-raising ceremony on the following Monday.

Michelle glared at me fiercely and whispered before leaving, "You better pray that nothing happens to you when you go out next time."

Meanwhile, Janet also cursed at us in a low voice.

On the way back, Eirene kept glancing at me and finally whispered, "Mom, why did you come?"
