But Jacob and Celia ignored her.
Anne looked behind them, but there was no trace of Marie. She wanted to look inside the car again, but was pulled up by the driver.
Celia pointed at the van behind with disgust. "There."
Anne looked at the van and was even more stunned, "Van? How could Marie be in the van?"
The driver walked to the front of the vAmberd opened the door.
Anne looked inside the van in confusion and after a moment, she let out a shocking cry. "Marie!"
"My Marie!" Anne screamed again.
I looked into the van through the open door.
The seat was removed and a wooden board was placed crudely. On the board lay a person, who was extremely thin, with half of her body outside, but her eyes were tightly closed and she didn't look like she was about to wake up.
Anne dragged Marie out of the van and I saw that Marie's exposed skin was all bruised and purple, without a single good patch and there was a faint scar on her stomach.
"She was fine when I gave her to you. What did you do to her?" Anne held the bruised Marie in her arms, staring at Jacob and Celia with bloodshot eyes.
Jacob frowned, looking serious, "How dare you ask us? You took a fake and said she was my Watson Family's daughter. I didn't kill this lowly useless person directly, which is enough for you!"
Anne was stunned and after a moment she spoke with a guilty conscience. "What... what fake? You came to me and said that I adopted your daughter, so I gave Marie to you!"
Jacob looked at Anne coldly, "We have found out that you had a biological daughter and an adopted daughter and Marie is your own daughter!"
Anne was panicked, "Nonsense... Nonsense, my own daughter died a long time ago and Marie is your biological daughter!"
"I think you are really determined to do it! Hold her down!" Jacob gestured to the driver.
The two drivers pressed Anne to the ground together.
Jacob stepped on Anne's hand, "Tell me! Where is my daughter?"
Anne grimaced in pain and trembled as she insisted, "It's... it's Marie..."
Jacob was ruthless and crushed Anne's hand. Anne gasped in pain, but said nothing.
Seeing that the time was almost right, I walked to the front of the crowd and shouted, "Dad, I am the daughter you are looking for."
Anne immediately cursed, "Audrey! What nonsense are you talking about! Get out of here!"
But I ignored her and walked straight to Jacob, "Marie is indeed Anne's biological daughter and I am the one you are looking for."
Anne struggled desperately. "No, she lied to you, Mr. Watson, she has nothing to do with our family!"
I looked into Jacob's eyes. "Back then, I wanted to eat candy, but you didn't agree, so I ran away from home and was tricked into the mountains."
"I have a round birthmark on my shoulder. I wore a gold bracelet on my hand." I continued, as I spread my hands and there was a small round bracelet in my palm.
I had been burying this bracelet under the tree in the yard, waiting for today and finally I got it.
Anne on the ground cursed even louder, "You Audrey bastard, when did you hide the gold bracelet! You bitch, why didn't I just strangle you to death!"
Celia snatched my bracelet, frowned and looked inside the bracelet, as if looking for something.
After a moment, she nodded at Jacob.
"There is a word Watson, it's ours!"
Celia pulled me to her side again, endured the disgust and pulled open the shoulder of my clothes and looked inside.
"The birthmark on the shoulder is also correct, husband, this is our daughter!"
Anne finally gave up struggling, motionless, just staring at me with vicious eyes.
I got into the luxury car under the envious eyes of everyone.
The familiar village was getting farther and farther away from me and I was finally going back to Watson's house.
On the way, perhaps because we were separated for too long, no one spoke.
Celia's cell phone suddenly rang. As soon as she saw the caller ID, she showed the most kind and gentle smile.
"Kylie, mom and dad will be back soon, you stay in the hospital obediently and you will be able to have surgery soon."
The person on the other end of the phone was my sister Kylie, who had leukemia since childhood and was the most beloved baby of my parents. Even I was born to treat her illness.
I didn't expect that she was still alive after I left Watson's house for so long.
As soon as I arrived at Watson's house, Celia asked the servant to take me to take a bath.
After I went in, I wanted to use hot water, but I didn't know how to adjust it. I was about to go out to ask the servant, but I heard someone talking in my room.
I turned on the faucet and looked out through the crack of the door amid the sound of water splashing.
I only heard Celia ask Jacob, "Audrey's name is too ugly. Should we change it back?"
"Why bother? She is just Kylie's mobile blood bank. I don't think she even needs a name." Jacob replied.
Celia nodded, "Then I'll ask the nanny to add some medicine to her water. We'll go to the hospital when she falls asleep. Kylie can't wait!"
They left the room while talking.
I closed the bathroom door and took a cold shower.
When I went out, I saw a glass of water on the bedside table. I poured half of the water into the sink, pretending to have drunk it and put the glass back on the bedside table.
I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes.
The bed was very soft and I was so sleepy that I almost wanted to fall asleep on the bed. But I pinched my thigh hard and finally woke up.
When I didn't know how long I had closed my eyes and waited, the door of the room opened.
Celia whispered in my ear, "Audrey? Audrey?"
I closed my eyes and did not respond.
After a while, several people came quietly and lifted me up from the bed.
I was lifted onto the van that was carrying Marie back and the van stopped not long after driving.
I was lifted off the van again.
I heard Celia say, "Doctor, this is Kylie's sister, transplant her bone marrow as soon as possible."
The doctor's tone was uncertain, "Miss Watson transplanted bone marrow with the wrong blood type last time and her body has already rejected it. If she makes a mistake again this time, her life will be in danger!"
"I suggest waiting a while, doing another matching and then transplanting after confirmation." The doctor continued.
Celia was anxious in an instant, "Kylie can't wait! It takes several days to do a matching and her condition is getting worse and worse. Who can guarantee that she will live until the matching results come out?"
The doctor was silent.
Celia said again, "When I gave birth to this child, I did a test tube. After screening, I confirmed that she could be transplanted to Kylie, so I gave birth. Last time we made a mistake. This time, this is Kylie's biological sister, there is no mistake!"
"Just arrange the operation. I want Kylie to live!" Celia almost screamed.
Jacob also said sincerely, "Yes, doctor, I can assure you that this is really Kylie's biological sister!"
Finally, the doctor sighed, "Okay."
They pushed me into the operating room.
Since I had taken sleeping pills, Jacob and Celia were afraid that if I took anesthesia again, the bone marrow would have a bad effect on Kylie, so they didn't let the doctor give me anesthesia.
The doctor extracted bone marrow from my spine. A huge pain came, but in order not to be seen, I was still awake, so I could only grit my teeth and endure it.
Just when I was about to faint from the pain, the bone marrow was finally extracted. I was pushed out of the operating room and the doctor went to transfuse my bone marrow to Kylie.
Jacob and Celia had no time to care about me. They walked back and forth at the door of the operating room, looking worried.
After a long time, the door of the operating room opened.
Celia greeted me with surprise, "Doctor, how is Kylie? The operation was successful, right?"
But the doctor shook his head, "Rejection occurred during the operation. Please sign the critical illness notice."
Jacob looked incredulous. "How could rejection occur? Is she our biological child?"
Celia was also stunned. She looked at me lying beside her. "Rejection? How is it possible? We had matched before! Unless she is not our daughter at all!"
