Chapter 4

After the effect of the medicine wore off, the dean asked the nurse to wash me clean and send me out.

At the entrance of the mental hospital, there stood five handsome men in suits.

They looked cold and aloof, and they looked at me with hidden resentment and murderous intent in their eyes.

Three years later, facing these five men closest to me, I still couldn't help but take a step back in fear with a pale face.

Jason took a step forward and pinched my chin coldly.

He laughed sarcastically. "It's only been three years. Why do you become like this?"

He stared at my face, which was very thin, and then he looked at the loose and ill-fitting clothes on me.

This dress was the one I wore when I came here three years ago.

Now it seemed empty.

It had been only three years...

I felt sad in my heart.

During the three years, I lost everything.

I lost my identity as a painter, my beautiful appearance, my healthy body, and my only family...

Now I was just like a dead person.

Seeing that I remained silent, Jason frowned. He let go and wiped his hand with a handkerchief in disgust.

His expression hurt me.

Three years ago, when I was not the daughter of the Moore family, he held me in his arms and looked at me tenderly, saying that I was the most beautiful girl in the world.

My hands were covered with paint and hadn't been washed off yet, but he didn't mind and ran over to hug me.

I chuckled and pushed him away. "I haven't washed my hands yet. It's dirty."

He deliberately got paint on his face and said with a smile that it was not dirty at all.

But now he felt like I was the dirtiest person in the world.

Chapter 5

"Joyce, you killed Sharon, but we only locked you up in a mental hospital for three years. Isn't that too good for you?"

Jason's voice was cold and sarcastic.

My face turned pale as I looked at the five people in front of me in horror.

"Then... why did you come here?"

Bruce snorted coldly, "Dad is going to hold a birthday party and asked us to bring you back. Otherwise, do you think we will let you go so easily?"

My eyes dimmed.

It turned out that my father thought of me because he was going to have a birthday party.

It was not that they knew the truth and forgave me.

Ben sneered and approached me, with mockery in his eyes.

"Joyce, don't think that taking you back means we forgive you.

"You killed my sister. Your punishment will never end in this lifetime.

"And..."

His voice was terrifying. "From today on, you will suffer even more."

My four brothers looked at each other and smiled.

I felt like I had fallen into a devil's cave.

I was their biological sister!

Sharon had no blood relationship with them at all. Besides, I didn't set the fire or hurt Sharon.

Why didn't they believe me?

My face turned pale, and I begged them.

"I was wrong. I know I was wrong. Please let me go..."

Xander smiled coldly, "Let you go?"

He glanced down at me and suggested the others.

"I think Joyce hasn't realized her mistake yet. Why don't we play an interesting game with her?"

Five minutes later, I understood what the "interesting game" he was talking about was.

They found a rope and tied me to the back of the Rolls-Royce.

They sat in the car while I was being dragged along by it.

The intense friction pain caused numbness.

My wails were drowned out by the roar of the car.

They laughed and stopped the car suddenly. Inertia made me rush forward and crash into the back of the car.

Blood flowed from my forehead and dripped into my neck.

Chapter 6

My head was dizzy from the violent shaking and torture.

My vision was blurry, and before I could recover, the car moved away rapidly.

The car exhaust and dust were about to drown me.

I endured the severe pain and closed my eyes tightly, feeling difficulty breathing.

"Jason..."

I shouted out loud with difficulty, but I regretted it immediately.

They were the culprits, and why would they stop?

I was covered in blood.

There were bloodstains all over the ground.

Some passers-by couldn't stand it anymore and stopped their car and criticized them.

"Are you still human?"

"How can you treat a girl like this?"

"Isn't this an abuse?"

Hearing passersby's words, Ben glanced at me and said sarcastically.

"Joyce is a murderer. It's good for her to be punished like this.

"Why do you sympathize with her? If your sister is killed, will you forgive the murderer?"

The passersby stopped talking, and the look in their eyes changed.

"I never thought that such a weak-looking girl could have killed someone!"

"She is so vicious and should be punished!"

I shook my head.

I wanted to say that I didn't kill anyone.

But I couldn't make a sound.

The intense pain overwhelmed me, and I tried my best to move, but I couldn't.

I didn't know who kicked me hard.

My forehead hit the rear end of the car. Blood covered my eyes, and I passed out.
