The number of viewers in the live stream surged, and the traffic skyrocketed, making Elisa and her crew even more excited.
"Look at her, riding in my man's car. Ladies, let's smash it!
"I don't want this car either. It's been tainted by this home-wrecker!"
At Elisa's command, the group of aggressive women pulled out wrenches and baseball bats from their cars and started smashing my vehicle in a frenzy. James, the driver, tried to stop them, but he was no match for the aggressive women. Seeing me signal him, James quickly pulled out his phone and called the police. Elisa's group tried to stop him, but James ran off.
"Don't bother chasing him. It's nothing!" Elisa said confidently. "Even if the cops come, so what? It's my man's car—what's the worst that could happen?"
I gritted my teeth and told Elisa, "I hope you're still so confident when the police arrive! This car is worth millions—you can't afford to replace it!"
This car wasn't actually my brother's; it was a gift from my father two years ago. I had been abroad recently, so my brother was just using it temporarily.
Elisa slapped me again and sneered, "It's just a cheap car. Only someone like you would treat it like a treasure!"
"If I wanted one, my man could buy me a new one anytime!
"Ladies, smash everything inside the car!"
I was at a loss for words at Elisa's ignorance. This luxury Maybach was worth over twenty million—it was far beyond what her boyfriend could afford. His annual salary was only about a million, which wouldn't even cover twenty years of debt.
My brother Scott Davidson's abilities were mediocre. If he weren't my brother, I would have fired him from the family business long ago due to his branch's declining performance.
"Hey, look! There are a lot of antiques and artworks in here!"
"This mistress has an interest in fine art too?"
"How shameless to steal someone's man and pretend to be cultured!"
"Does anyone here know about antiques and art? Are these things real or fake?"
The women dragged out two large suitcases from the car and opened them. When they saw the antiques and artwork inside, they were momentarily stunned.
The value of antiques and artworks was hard to estimate. If they were fakes, it was no big deal. But if they were real, damaging them would be incredibly costly.
Elisa, clearly caught up in the excitement, said, "Smash everything! Even if these things are real, they were bought with my man's money!
"My man's money is my money. If this harlot touched them, I don't want them!"
With that, Elisa grabbed a piece of artwork and ripped it apart.
My heart sank. It was a renowned Renaissance painting which my father had bought for nearly four hundred million ten years ago. It was also the most valuable item in the estate my parents left behind overseas.
Seeing Elisa's smug expression and the destruction being recorded by the surveillance cameras, I decided to let the cameras capture everything. I would make sure Elisa paid for this, and I'd make sure she experienced the same kind of suffering she had inflicted on me.
When Elisa and her crew started rummaging through the trunk, I panicked.
"Stop! You can't touch those things!"
There was nothing valuable in the trunk, just an old suitcase. Inside the suitcase were some old photos, colorful braided bracelets, and other items—precious memories my parents had left me. I could have cared less about the other things, but the contents of that old suitcase were as important to me as my own life.
A few of the fierce women dragged the old suitcase out of the trunk, threw it on the ground, and smashed it open.
"I thought it would be something valuable, but it's just junk!"
"Worthless trash, just like this cheap mistress!"
They cursed and dumped the contents of the suitcase onto the ground, carelessly discarding everything. I struggled in anger, but two of the aggressive women held me down, leaving me unable to move.
Elisa sneered, "Weren't you so arrogant just a moment ago? How come you're not so cocky now?"
I gritted my teeth and said, "Those things might not be worth much, but they're important to me. You…"
"Slap!"
Elisa slapped me hard again, glaring at me with malice. "You scheming little bitch, did you not think about ending up like this when you were seducing my man?
"These things are important to you?
"Fine, then I'll make sure you watch as I destroy them!"
With that, Elisa picked up the old photos and other items from the ground and began tearing and shredding them, throwing them at me like garbage.
"No, stop!"
I cried out desperately, but I was powerless to stop them. The more I cried, the more excited and wild Elisa and her crew became.
"Look, this bitch is crying!"
"Crying like the scheming woman she is. Ugh!"
"Everyone, hit that follow button! A mistress can never escape her label. I advise all the sisters who want to meddle in other people's relationships to stay alert!"
Elisa and her group played the role of righteous judges, prompting cheers from the livestream viewers.
Just as they were basking in their self-righteous glory, my driver, James, arrived hurriedly with the airport police.
"What's going on here? Let go!" the police commanded sternly.
The two women holding me down immediately released me when they saw the police. I sobbed on the ground, trembling as I picked up the old photos and other items that Elisa had torn apart.
Seeing the police arrive made Elisa and her group a bit nervous, but they quickly composed themselves.
"Don't be scared; we haven't broken any laws. It's everyone's duty to punish a mistress!"
"This bitch seduced someone else's man. What's wrong with teaching her a lesson here?"
"Are you police really going to protect someone who's ruining relationships?"
Seeing the women's brazen attitudes, the airport police officers could hardly contain their laughter.
I stood up, wiped away my tears, and glared fiercely at Elisa and her crew.
"Officers, they've illegally detained and assaulted me, and they've vandalized my car!
"The antiques and artworks in the car were part of my parents' estate from overseas. The pieces are one-of-a-kind, especially the Renaissance painting'—my father paid nearly four hundred million for it!
"I'm not looking for a settlement. You can bring in experts if needed. I want them to compensate me for the full value!"
The police officers were taken aback by the amount involved; it was probably the biggest case they'd ever dealt with. Without hesitation, they secured the scene, restrained Elisa and her group, and called for backup.
Elisa shot me a furious look and sneered, "Disgusting mistress, even now you're trying to scam us?
"Whether those antiques are real or not, they were bought with my man's money, right?
"My man's money is mine. If I smash my own stuff, why should I pay for it?
"Stop with your parents' relics nonsense. Bah!
"Officers, I suggest you investigate this woman thoroughly. Not only is she meddling in other people's relationships as a mistress, she might even be involved in smuggling or selling antiques!"
Elisa's claims were echoed by the women around her. James, my driver, whispered to the officers, and their expressions changed. It seemed James had informed them of my identity.
Then, a tall officer frowned at Elisa and her group and said sternly, "Causing a disturbance, disrupting public order, and illegally detaining and assaulting others—regardless of your reasons, you're breaking the law. Come with us to the station."
Elisa and her gang, realizing the gravity of the situation, glared at me one last time and followed the officers to the airport precinct.
James called the company's top legal team, and when we arrived at the station, a dozen lawyers were already waiting for me.
Seeing the lawyers, Elisa laughed triumphantly.
"Don't worry, ladies. These lawyers are from my man's company. I know the lead lawyer; I had dinner with him and my man not long ago!"
Her entourage sighed in relief and resumed their mocking attitude. I remained silent, my expression cold.
"Mr. Gallagher!" Elisa hurried over and said, "Did Scott send you? Perfect timing. This mistress is trying to scam us. She—"
Before she could finish, the lawyers bypassed her without a glance and approached me.
"Miss Davidson," Mr. Gallagher, the lead lawyer, said respectfully, "We understand the situation. How would you like to proceed?"
I replied coldly, "Every single one of them should end up destitute, begging on the streets!"
Elisa and her group were stunned, their faces turning ashen with disbelief.
