Next was a video call from my mother.
"Genevieve! Are you alright?" she asked, her voice thick with tears.
"Alright, that's it. What the hell is going on?" I finally snapped.
My mom fell silent for a few seconds, startled by my sharp tone. Then, she cried out, "Genevieve, you haven't seen? Jax and that influencer went public! Someone leaked your information, and now they're saying you're some psycho trying to ruin their perfect relationship!"
"The entire internet is tearing you to shreds!"
"Jax Thorne?" I muttered, my brow furrowing. "He wouldn't dare."
"Genevieve, you stay away from him, you hear me? Your dad, your brother, and I already have the legal team preparing to sue!" my mother roared.
