Chapter 1

“Leah! Are you following the lessons I'm trying to teach you?" When, the woman with white hair, my instructor said something, I felt as though something rang in my ear.

Despite her best efforts to hide it, I could hear her heart weakening and see it by the way her wrist pulsed.

When I was younger, I could already feel this kind of power. I have a special ability to identify a person's sickness, but since I'm only an omega, they won't take me seriously or, to put it another way, they won't value this ability of mine.

I turned to look at the wandering man, a Lycan King's son. He walked with his father while upright, not looking back, and his face was devoid of emotion. His expression indicates that he does not need to take any action since everyone will kneel before him.

My heartbeat rose as they reached our spot.

My companions bowed, but I just stared at him. Helena, the doctor instructing me on how to cure werewolves with severe wounds, bent my head as my gazes met with the man next to the Lycan King.

She warned me that no matter how rapidly their wound healed, there was still a risk they might not regain strength right away.

My name is Leah Vuk, and I am the lone omega wolf. I don't have a pack, we're just the focus of a laugh, and we generally have bruises on our bodies, which is why I considered becoming a doctor—for the sake of our names.

"Helena, how are the meds you're discovering?" As I feared, Alpha Hector Sergio had no scent to identify them.

He didn't pay attention to me, and even with my head lowered, I attempted to peer into Amoux's face, whom I had long adored.

I've only been visiting the Nightwalker pack for three months, but I'm so grateful that Alpha King has just allowed me to remain. He doesn't pay attention to me, but he also doesn't drive me away because I've been wanting to study more about the many sorts of illnesses a werewolf can have for a long time, and I'm grateful that the Nightwalker pack has a leader like this.

However, even the Alpha King does not chase me away, he does not stop people in his lower levels from mocking or harming me.

I can't fight them hard since I'm only fifteen years old and haven't gone through the transformation into a wolf, but I try.

"They're doing well, Alpha. When we make them ideal for an extended period of time, there is a risk that the wolves will instantly restore their vitality anytime they desire to fight." Helena still bowed as she said.

My cheeks flushed as Amoux didn't take his eyes away from me. Because of his demeanor, I bent my head even further.

When Alpha Hector stopped speaking, Helena released a grip of my head, indicating that they were going, but Amoux interrupted them, much to my surprise. I didn't anticipate him to notice me in a negative way.

"Why is there an omega crap here?" he asked.

I looked up since Helena was no longer keeping my head down.

She attempts to control me, but I don't back down.

I returned his ice-cold glare.

"Excuse me for coming here unexpectedly without your permission, but shouldn't the Alpha king be the first to inquire because he hasn't yet given you his place? You are still a Nightwalker member who must join the hunt against rogues and other wolf packs." I didn't hesitate to tell him that since I was used to other wolves abusing me and it wouldn't be surprising if he hit me here.

He shows off his canines, which astounded me because I had no idea when I would do the same to mine.

My face was filled with wonder rather than dread.

When he realized that I wasn't terrified, he changed it back to normal.

I bent my head abruptly because I suddenly recalled how low I was in relation to the person I was conversing to now.

He straightened himself and resumed his stroll with his father. I even heard him remark something only the four of us could hear before he departed.

“Nevermind. Whatever you do, you can't deny that no matter what you strive for, you're still a waste and inferior to me."

------

Even though it had been years, that was the last time I saw him. That was the only thing we talked about that I remembered a few years afterwards.

That's why I went on about how I felt about him.

Until I reached the age of eighteen. The time has arrived for me to shapeshift.

And I had no idea he'd be the one I'd see those times…

——3 year later——

A puberty. This is what I hate.

“Ahh..!”

Because of the intense agony I felt inside, I touched my face. I also tore the clothing I was wearing because I was afraid my flesh might tear.

I rapidly managed to tear my underpants, which I had removed while standing.

I'm not sure where I get my physical strength. I looked at my hand since that's where the pain is coming from, and it feels like my entire body is being stretched.

As I knelt down, I clasped one of my palms.

"G-God... Please help me!"

The ache in my face has returned, and my mouth is suddenly burning. My feet, too, appeared to be drifting away from me. My bones are swelling and seem to be bursting through my skin, and my body appears to be flaming.

"It... hurts..."

I pinned my face to the floor, my back bones have strained, and my body hair has begun to emerge.

My body was drenched in perspiration, yet all I could do was scream. The middle of my face and ears were the final parts of my body to lengthen. When I noticed the difference in my look, I came to a complete halt.

When I wiggle my tail, the door swung open just in time to let Amoux in.

Chapter 2

I let out a harsh grunt. I tried to warn him not to approach me, but he did nothing except look. My wail whimpered and waned, as if I were distressed and afraid.

I am aware that he does not wish to see my grey hair, which signifies that I am of low rank and unfit to interact with him, much alone my yellow eyes, which indicate that regardless of how clever I am, I will always be inferior to them. I slowly lowered my body; I wanted to speak with him using mind-link.

When I detected a sweet fragrance, I realised I harbored something alive. I arose once more and tweaked my tail as I drew closer to the source of the aroma.

I nuzzled his body once I realised whence it emanated.

He placed his palm on my face to prevent me from continuing my actions. He wasn't furious with me because of what I did, but I feared he might be if I reverted to my previous form.

I let out a short grumble at the top of my lungs, but he didn't do anything to me.

He touched the gray tone of my fur and it was as if all the anguish I had been feeling had first suddenly withered away.

Why is he caressing me in this way?

I'm at my own house now, so I'm not aware how he ended up here. It is already dark in the forest, and are they still looking for another pack and rogue?

I can’t cure any wounds right now, however, he's here to contact me because another werewolf he is with was gravely harmed.

I decided to move away from him, and he merely stopped and looked at me. I haven't seen him in years, so I can't express how happy I am to see him again. He never came back to Nightwalker for a few years and didn't return home to denounce the rogue or the packs that intended to put their pack in jeopardy.

The Shadow pack, Moon pack and Dark pack are always his enemy—- base on what I am hearing.

I whimpered saying he should leave because he didn't want to see me like that. I'm not sure he'll understand me even if I'm not a part of their pack. He's the next Lycan King, so he probably understands what I mean.

I've steadily improved my skills at mending their wounds in the years since he hasn't returned to Nightwalker. We had several drugs that were perfected before Helena died. Yes, she died just as I predicted, as I could hear her pulse dropping.

After she passed, I never used my special ability again. The aggression of other beta and alpha isn't all that awful, but they still bully me a lot. Helena is no longer there to defend me against them, so I sometimes simply let them say anything they want since I've become immune to it. But I'm not going to let them hurt me since my health is the most important thing right now.

As he drew his fang and cocked his head, I backed away. I'm not used to this form yet, so I struck the different stuff in my house. I yell to show him how terrified I am. When I glanced at the moon, I saw that it was not spherical. I backed up even further when Amoux's neck cracked. I peered at the moon again because he seemed to be transforming. The werewolf and lycan transform whenever the moon is full, and they forget who they are in front of, so they hurt others, but I was able to breathe because the moon was not full. However, it is also believed that when triggered or become hyper, they shapeshift.

“Amoux! Your father, the Lycan King is calling you—”

I didn't witness what happened, but I quickly realized that the man who should have summoned him was terrified by Amoux's rapid shift. He did it on purpose, and because he was over the age of 20, he had a lot of control over it. I wasn't deathly afraid when I saw his figure, regardless of the fact that he was quadrupled and more my size. I'm not afraid of his hazy blue eyes, even though everyone thinks they're frightening when they shapeshift. I was not intimidated by his fuzzy bulk. It was the first time I'd seen him in this shape, and instead of being scared, I found myself sinking further into the depths of my affection for him.

He doesn't look at the man, but instead flashes me his canines much more, as if to imply I should be fearful of him. I wanted to return to my human form and touch his lethal claws, caress me with them, and tell him I wasn't scared of their sharpness, but I didn't do it. I was merely one of many who should have knelt before him. I caught a glimpse of the man crawling backwards who I mistook for a beta. When he went, Amoux turned around, I felt my body slowly return to normal and shrink.

Because of his body's speed, he caught my body in less than a second and carried me. My eyes are watering and I feel drawn towards slumber. I didn't even notice his look at my bare body, even though my face was flushed with embarrassment and I couldn't even move a finger to cover my face. His body is back to normal but I can feel his rock chest. I had to give my body a practice run to perfect my wolf shift over the following three days.

I yawned but did not stir as he placed me on my bed. I was in pain, but I kept my gaze fixed on his since I knew he was leaving. It didn't occur to me that he would take me up and carry me to my bed. When he was about to depart, I grabbed his hand and closed my eyes because it seemed like 10 wolves were attacking my body. But I also let it go straight away.

"Don't leave..." I pleaded gently.

When he abruptly elevated my body, drew out his fang, and got his face near to the back of my neck — I heard a loud crisp chomp before everything turned into black.

Chapter 3

When I regained consciousness, I couldn't open my eyes adequately. I even rubbed them to make sure the blurring didn't hurt. I continue to hold my head because it still aches. I attempted to recall what had happened last night , but it was as if I were a corpse standing up from the pit. I sprinted to the restroom to check for Amoux's bite on me. I combed my hair and checked behind my neck... I was disappointed, but I also relaxed since he didn't bite me.

Maybe I'm delusory if I think he'll imprint me... Or perhaps not.

I totally dismissed it in my mind and prepared to return to the forest in search of a remedy that may perhaps be utilized for major disorders that were not visible in the body. Helena taught me that the wound or illness wasn't only obvious to the naked eye — even if she didn't tell me that; I already knew. I don't need to see the wolves' laying bodies to know they're sick; even if their bodies are still robust, I can hear their pulse and tell if it's strong or weak.

I put on a coat like Little Red Riding Hood's when I finished showering. This is what I generally wear to avoid attracting wolves when walking. Maybe they'll hurl me or fling me at the planted plants if they notice me. It is not a good idea to harm the seedlings in the forest. I was ready to depart when my door was knocked on. I wouldn't have opened it; this is another wolf attempting to obstruct my exit in order to chastise me for what I'm doing. Even though I don't want to open it, I have no option but to do so.

I was clutching my basket when I opened my wobbly door, which was on the verge of collapsing. The sweaty face of the man who had come here last night to fetch Amoux flashed in front of my eyes. I scowled as he took a deep drag, took in the air, and struggled for breath. Who else could be a wolf in pain, and this is the look of horror on his face? He drew my hand out to say what he needed to say before I could ask.

"You have been summoned by the Lycan king. He himself directed me to come here so that you may treat Amoux's unhealed wounds. Every time he tried to restore his strength, his wounds became deeper and deeper—”

I didn't let the man finish speaking and was rushing ahead of him. I couldn't carry medicines, so I had just one option. That would transfer the pain to my body. I'm not sure what his ailment is, and based on what the guy stated, it appears that I haven't discovered a cure for it so far . The man has shifted and is now in front of me. If I could just manage the shift, I wouldn't have a problem going to him right now.

As I could see the palace, I was still carrying the basket and wearing a scarlet coat I had sewn myself. When I stepped in, I gasped when I saw Luna Rosette, the mate of the Lycan king, sitting close to her son, while Amoux couldn't supply oxygen. His eyes were closed, and his expression showed how he was dealing with the discomfort. I examined his wounds and discovered that these were not typical scars. Poison is plastered to them. When I glanced at their expressions, I noticed that they were all focused on me. As I could hear Amoux's pulse decreasing, my heart was at the bottom of the abyss.

"I will kneel in front of you as long as you save my son," she pleaded as she took my hand in her. I witnessed her concern for her son, and deliberately, since the slowing of Amoux's heartbeat had not been removed from my ear, I took Rosette's hand, placed it back on her lap, and returned my focus to Amoux.

I counted his wounds and identified seven. With the sort of toxin tied to them, I understood it might eat away my life for several years. It's also conceivable that I'm unable to bear with the torment since only a witch can concoct poison like this. During my journey in the woods, I learnt, including the numerous sorts of diseases that witches create and their intentions. They also have varying degrees of power or ability. The ability I now wield is the transferring pain. I studied it for many years and it is flawless. But I'm hoping I can do it correctly since it's conceivable that Amoux and I will both get harmed if I make a mistake.

I closed my eyes and placed my palm on his chest to concentrate on what I was doing. I can already feel the light entering my chest as the surroundings begin to heat up. Because my heart does the greatest harm, this is what I focus on the most. My leg was deteriorating and my body was about to give up until the two wounds were removed. I opened one eye to see if there was any more progress, and I saw that Amoux's breathing was becoming better, so I exhaled and closed my eyes again. Because I'm already in pain, sweat is streaming down my neck.

When I had completely depleted his wound. I've already blinked open my eyes. I saw his eyes open and smiled at him before passing out. My neck and heart felt bound, like if metal were searing my back.

"I'm relieved..."

My voice was weak, but before I fell to the floor and everything went dark, he held the back of my body . Even before the voices vanished around me, I heard his firm voice, the release of his fang, and the way he gazed at me using his dagger eyes.

"You have a thing for misfortune."

Ah. I am madly in love with this man.
