Chapter 2

Crystal was so nervous that she was waiting for Octavio's response. Maybe, maybe Octavio liked her too.

Then could they cancel the engagement next month? Maybe the future she wrote in her diary could come true.

But she did not expect that Octavio said it viciously, “You should know that I am your brother. Isn't it disgusting that you like your own brother?”

It was like a bucket of cold water poured on Crystal's head, and Crystal's tears flowed silently.

Yeah, wasn't it disgusting?!

She actually liked her brother.

Because of Crystal's silence, Octavio became even more agitated, and he added another sentence viciously, “Crystal, can you please not appear in front of me again? It's disgusting.”

Crystal's heart ached, and she just said ‘Fine’ in her heart. She knew that she would never appear in front of Octavio again.

In thirty days, she would marry a stranger.

In the strong wind, Crystal gritted her teeth, hesitating whether to tell Octavio the news, but in the end, she could not say it out loud.

Crystal's lowered eyes met Octavio's, making people feel a little depressed.

Octavio glanced at her with an ambiguous look. Just then the rain stopped. He rode away on his motorcycle, leaving Crystal alone on the top of the mountain.

Before leaving, he turned around and shouted to Crystal, “Tell her I'm not going back.”

Crystal felt a bitter feeling in her heart. The fear she had just experienced on the motorcycle suddenly came back to her. She could not even stand. Tears streamed down her face and her shoulders shook uncontrollably.

Yes, Octavio was his brother. Although they were not related by blood, they had lived under the same roof for more than ten years. How could she like Octavio?

All the scenes of her getting along with Octavio came to mind. When she was twelve years old, Octavio knocked out two of the other person's teeth because someone said Crystal was a motherless child.

When she was fifteen, Octavio ran from the east to the west of the city to bring her a chocolate cake because Crystal missed home, just to see her smile.

When she was eighteen, Octavio personally put a birthday crown on her and promised that he would stay with Crystal no matter where she went.

They grew up together, with Octavio by her side through the most pivotal years of her life, offering love and support during the decade she needed it most.

Crystal knew their relationship very well, but she still fell in love with him like a moth to a flame, and wrote down every little detail of their time in her diary, including every touching moment.

She never thought about getting a response. As long as she could stay with Octavio, it was enough for her.

But then everything had changed.

If Octavio knew that she liked him, he would probably just find her disgusting.

That diary, her ten years of girlish thoughts, her heartbeats, were all dug open by Octavio, and then ridiculed.

She stumbled down the mountain, the near-zero temperature making her shiver uncontrollably, and she knew it was time to end.

It was time to end this ten-year secret love.

This was an illicit relationship that should not be exposed.

Ocatvio’s parent kept the news of Crystal's marriage arrangement a secret very well, and only Crystal was silently preparing everything for the wedding.

At three o'clock in the morning, the capital city was still brightly lit. A few gossipers who knew the hidden truth mentioned the matter indirectly to Octavio. Octavio was laughing wildly in the box with a glass of wine in hand.

“Crystal is just a dog, how could she possibly go to the marriage alliance? She cannot even smile when she's with me!”

Chapter 3

There was laughter in the box for some reason, and someone started talking.

“Have you heard? Last night on the motorcycle night, Crystal walked down the mountain by herself. It was minus two degrees Celsius. How much does Octavio hate this sister?”

“Crystal, this adopted daughter, was probably raised by the Carrillo Family to take care of Octavio. Isn't she almost like a little servant? Hahahaha.”

“Did not Mr. Carrillo have dinner with Jocelyn Howe yesterday? As for that female celebrity, he must really like her. The photos were all released to the media..."

Separated by the wall, Crystal's heart twitched violently, and she remembered the time when she found out that she fell in love with Octavio.

At that time, she had just arrived at the Carrillo Family, and no one cared about this fatherless and motherless child. Only Octavio took her out to play and introduced her to people.

She met Octavio during the years when she needed love the most, and then she threw herself obsessively on him for a full ten years.

Octavio was at the age where he loved to play, but in order to accompany Crystal, he always went home on time after school and brought various gifts to Crystal every day.

Crystal asked him if he found her annoying, but Octavio said that as long as Crystal did not find him annoying, it would be fine.

The boy's clear eyes left Crystal speechless, and her heart could not stop trembling.

In the last twenty-five days, she would never appear in front of Octavio again as Octavio wished.

She gritted her teeth and pushed open the door of the box.

In the dim room, Octavio sat in the middle, with sexy beauties on both sides.

If Octavio did not go home that day, his parents might really get angry, and Crystal would be the one who got bullied.

Octavio half-closed his eyelids and lazily looked up at Crystal. Crystal was wearing a white dress and looked timid, like a lost deer.

“Brother, Mom wants you to go home.”

As soon as these words came out, the girl who was feeding Octavio wine suddenly stopped and said coquettishly, “Mr. Carrillo, is this your sister?”

Octavio smiled and said nothing. Then the girl spoke again, “Is she a younger sister or a sweet sister?"

Hearing this, Crystal clenched the corner of her clothes tightly. Seeing that Octavio had no intention of explaining, she was interrupted by Octavio just as she was about to speak.

“What? Are you jealous?”

The girl nodded aggrievedly, looking at Octavio with admiration in her eyes.

“She suddenly came in, did not want to drink or play, and wanted to take you back. What should we do…?"

Octavio's eyes fell on Crystal, and some evil thoughts arose in his mind.

“Crystal, drink the wine on the table, and I will go home with you.”

Hearing this, the people in the box looked at each other, not knowing whether they should speak up to persuade them.

The wine on the table was all strong liquor. It would be hard for a man to finish drinking it all, let alone Crystal who never drank.

Crystal felt a bitter feeling in her heart. She had a bad stomach, and Octavio knew it. He used to be most concerned about her health.

In the past, Octavio would watch her eat breakfast every day, and would invite a nutritionist to prepare her three meals a day, so as to arrange each of her meals to be the best.

Everything started to change after Octavio knew that she liked him.

Crystal hesitated for a moment, and under Octavio's gaze, she picked up the first glass of wine and drank it all.

Then, it was the second and third cup... Crystal's face turned red visibly, and Octavio's brows gradually furrowed. As she was about to drink the sixth cup, Octavio said in a cold voice, “That's enough.”

But Crystal acted as if she did not hear it. She drank one glass of liquor after another, refusing to stop as if torturing herself.

“I've said enough, fucking enough!”

Octavio kicked the table hard, abruptly interrupting Crystal's drinking. With a sullen look on his face, he raised his wine glass and smashed it next to Crystal. The glass broke and cut Crystal's fair instep, leaving a glaring blood.

“Can you come with me then?”

Crystal forced a smile, but then everything went dark before her eyes and she fainted.

Octavio almost subconsciously rushed out to catch her. Looking at Crystal with her eyes closed, Octavio cursed under his breath, picked her up and walked out of the box.

Chapter 4

It was two days later when Crystal opened her eyes again.

The ten glasses of strong Scottish vodka successfully gave her acute gastroenteritis. She was the only one in the empty room and could not stop coughing.

When she opened my phone, she found Octavio's name clearly listed on the hot search list.

[Popular actress, Jocelyn Howe, and the noble son of Carrillo Group are about to get married?]

In the photo, Octavio hugged Jocelyn from behind, lowered his head and whispered, with a gentleness on his face that he had never shown before when facing Crystal.

A handsome man and a beautiful woman, what a perfect match.

When she looked at the date, it was the night Crystal fainted from acute gastroenteritis.

Crystal turned off her phone in disappointment and started packing her things.

Octavio used to dote on her the most. For Crystal, a child who was not loved by her father and mother, that was her greatest confidence.

Even when they were young, Octavio jokingly said that if Crystal did not get married, he would support her for the rest of her life.

He would also get angry when others made jokes about Crystal, and Octavio would say that it was because Crystal was his sister.

But then it was different, she was no longer Octavio’s sister.

The wedding date with the Raymond Family was in twenty days. It was very tight, but no one cared.

This was originally a business marriage, and for Crystal, the simpler the better.

But in the afternoon, Glen Raymond sent his assistant to bring more than a dozen wedding dresses for Crystal to choose from. The white wedding dresses were inlaid with gems of various colors, which made Crystal a little dazzled.

Crystal finally found a suitable one and breathed a sigh of relief. She decided to take this one.

Octavio just happened to walk in, and he and Crystal looked at each other. The white wedding dress, the dazzling diamonds, and the sparkling Crystal, Octavio could not take his eyes off her.

He could not help but think of a post he had just seen, about a brother and sister who fell in love, and the whole family fell into chaos and eventually fell into ruin.

But, were he and Crystal not siblings?

Realizing what he was thinking, Octavio quickly stopped his thoughts from drifting further and further away.

He turned his head slightly and spoke somewhat unnaturally, “Why are you trying on a wedding dress all of a sudden?”

Crystal was a little surprised by his arrival. She had just organized her words to find an excuse when she heard Octavio's words full of disgust, “Did you let me see this on purpose?”

“Stop daydreaming, Crystal, please save some face! It's bad enough that you're disgusting, but you want to destroy me?

“Go downstairs to eat. Do not keep your sister-in-law waiting for too long.”

After saying that, he turned and left, leaving Crystal standing there in surprise.

Sister in law?

It must be Jocelyn, she smiled bitterly helplessly. What right did she have to be sad, and what qualifications did she have to be sad?

Yes, Octavio’s identity was high, even if he did not move, countless people would come to him.

There would always be someone next to him, but that person definitely would not be her.

In eighteen days, she could leave. At least Octavio was still as good as before in her eyes. She did not want to let herself become devastated.

In the cozy restaurant, Jocelyn sat beside Octavio with confidence. She had black hair, red lips and black eyes. She was so beautiful that people could not take their eyes away, and her smile was gentle.

The entire Carrillo Family was immersed in a joyous atmosphere. The playful Octavio at that time had a decent person by his side. Who in the Carrillo Family would not be happy?

Crystal was eating quietly when Jocelyn suddenly brought her up.

“Crystal, can you help me get a bowl?”

The serving aunt was standing nearby. This was obviously their job, but Jocelyn asked Crystal to do it. The expressions of the people at the table became a little subtle.
