Chapter 3

After leaving, I went to a bar in the center of Melbourne to drink.

I drank one glass after another.

At the same time, my friends kept sending me messages.

I received a video link.

The video of me catching the affair straightforwardly spread throughout the circle. Every overseas student here now knew about it.

Everyone was commenting, calling Jade a bitch for cheating on me with that man.

I saw Jade's name.

I felt like I was in a trance, and my stomachache was killing me.

After a while, someone patted my shoulder.

It was my buddy from college, Theo Pauley.

He did business in Australia. When he heard about what happened, he rushed over.

He cautiously asked me.

"You really divorced her?"

"Yeah."

I drank another glass, and my head was already fuzzy, but my mind was clear.

He scolded Jade and said he'd get someone to beat the man up.

Then he smiled and wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"Eden, then you're now a rich bachelor, right? People like you need one thing. You know what that is?"

"What?"

"Girls. All kinds of girls."

Saying that, he took out his phone and said he'd get all pretty girls in Melbourne here.

Just as he was about to send a message, someone with a fair hand grabbed his phone.

"No need, Theo. There are no girls in Melbourne more beautiful than me."

I was wondering who the arrogant alcoholic was.

Looking up, I couldn't help but gasp.

Indeed, she was so stunningly beautiful.

She had long hair and a cold, flawless face.

Her eyes were charming.

The black pencil skirt outlined her tempting figure.

The most crucial thing was, I knew her.

"Harley?"

Theo was smart enough to leave.

Harley Hodgson was my classmate in college.

In my freshman year, Harley told me she liked me.

At that time, I had already met Jade.

So, Harley didn't cling to me.

Later, she went abroad and made a name for herself in the fashion industry in Australia with her outstanding appearance and figure.

On a certain online platform, Harley had hundreds of thousands of fans.

I had come across her updates.

In her Vlogs about life and travel, she had always been alone.

"You're divorced?"

Pondering, Harley looked at my drunken eyes as if she wanted to see through me.

"Yes. I've already signed it."

"No turning back."

"Why should I?"

"Because I still have feelings for you."

Harley said calmly.

She leaned forward, her necklace swaying around her slender neck.

She leaned forward and kissed my lips for a long time.

I was a little stunned, but because I was half drunk, I joked.

"This is our first kiss."

She nodded.

Her breath became even more burning.

"This doesn't have to be the only thing that happens. Something else, too."

Chapter 4

What happened afterward felt like a dream.

I only remembered Harley holding my hand and taking me out of the bar and going back to the hotel where I stayed.

In the dim light of the bedroom, her gaze was still cold.

But her delicate body on top of me was like a blazing fire.

Sitting on me, she stretched her hands back and gently took off her black pencil skirt.

She used her fingers to trace over my collarbones and chest and then reach downwards...

"Eden, I'm not an easy woman."

She said.

"I just don't want to miss you again."

I had been in a high position over the years.

Countless women tried to throw themselves at me.

During the three years that Jade was in Australia, there were even more women who took the opportunity to try to sleep with me.

But I rejected them all.

I told them I'd wait for Jade to return.

But in the end, this so-called cross-country relationship which would last forever was nothing but a ridiculous farce.

Harley showed up out of the blue.

I felt that her body was burning.

It ignited my suppressed, sad feelings.

That night, Harley and I had sex again and again.

In the end, she collapsed on top of me.

Through the faint light of the sky, I thought I saw tears in the corners of her eyes.

I woke up.

It was already noon.

There were countless messages from Jade on my phone.

She called me.

This time, I answered.

"What is it? Have you signed?"

"Signed? Signed what? Eden, why didn't you voice chat with me last night?"

I laughed. "Are you serious?"

"Eden, don't push it too far. I forgot to put you on mute that night. I don't care what you thought you listened. Let me make it clear to you. I was watching an American TV series."

"Really? But he said your name."

Jade clearly was stunned.

She swallowed.

"Which ... part did you hear?"

I was surprised at how brazen she was. I didn't bother to respond to her.

Beside me, Harley, who was resting her head on my arm, was awakened by Jade's voice.

Harley heard our conversation.

With her beautiful eyes closed, she snorted softly.

Jade heard that and immediately became furious.

"Is there a woman beside you?"

"So what? You and I are done."

I said word by word.

Then I hung up the phone directly.

Jade angrily threw her phone on the ground.

Jade's bestie was silently searching on an Australian job app. She was startled and quickly picked up the phone.

After making sure the phone wasn't broken, she cautiously asked Jade.

"Well? Eden isn't really getting a divorce, is he?"

Seeing Jade's gloomy face, she quickly added.

"I'm sure he won't.

"He almost spent every day courting you in college. I've never seen a man love someone that much. At that time, I thought someone must be stupid enough to break up with Eden and be with someone else..."

She seemed to realize that she said something wrong and quickly shut up.

But Jade wasn't listening at all.

She was still thinking about the woman's voice that came from the other end of the line.

There was a dim, obscure light flickering in her eyes.

Chapter 5

I had experienced great mood swings these days.

My love for Jade had completely disappeared.

But hearing her voice, I still felt annoyed and even a little sick.

Harley noticed it.

She wrapped herself in a bathrobe and sat up gracefully, opened the door of the hotel room, and pushed in a small cart.

It was filled with various exquisite desserts and drinks.

She ate the desserts slowly while quietly watching me.

She just woke up and was without makeup, but her delicate features were somehow highlighted.

The messy hair in front of her forehead added to her charm.

I realized something.

We had sex last night, and now, I was upset about another woman who was deeply entangled with me.

It was rude to leave Harley aside just like this.

I was about to apologize.

Meanwhile, she handed me a piece of cake with a fork and put it in my mouth.

She said softly, "It's fine. You have your troubles, and it's normal. You don't need to explain to me. I'm not your girlfriend anyway."

"I..."

I didn't know what to say.

She chuckled.

"But I'm not saying it won't change.

"I will give you time. I will wait for you."

Harley came over and sat on me.

Her bathrobe was half open.

I held her, feeling her soft body and well-proportioned curves through the thin bathrobe with both hands.

Just when I was about to have sex with her again.

She suddenly pushed me away gently.

"Let's go."

"Where to?"

"You'll go on a date with me."
