Aurora stood up from the cold floor, her body aching all over, she nearly fell when she saw a picture hanging on the wall. She had to be seeing double. Maybe they had hit her head so hard when they carried her that she was now seeing things. Aurora touched her face not fully believing or understanding what she was seeing... The photograph she was looking at was of her, hmm, it wasn't. This person looks exactly like her the only difference was their eye color. Aurora had hazel blue eyes while the lady in the picture had very green eyeballs. Aurora ran out of the room looking for Salvatore. She ran through the hallways, passing door after door and slowly realising she was lost. One of the hallway has a picture of a strikingly handsome man. He would have looked better in the photo if only he was smiling. Under the picture was the name Vincenzo West Pecaminoso. Vincenzo, huh? He had to be the boss and master Salvatore kept talking about. Aurora walked away from the large portrait and continued her search for Salvatore, or even a way out of there. That was when she saw how disgusting and sinful the people who lived there and worked for the supposed 'master' were. Some of the gangsters were smoking as if their life depends on it, while some were having sex publicly. She could not even find her way out. Everywhere looked secured. Aurora kept walking and found what looks like a gym, or fighting ring. Some girls were exchanging punches and fighting mercilessly with bleeding nose. It was so gruesome, aurora could barely watch. As she turned her head, that was when she sighted Salvatore. He was tucked somewhere deep in the gym, aurora almost ran towards him, but she stopped, when she noticed a guy was on his knees in front of him, pleading for mercy while Salvatore had a gun pointed at his head. " You see, when a person commits a sin, only our master can forgive. But If the master says no, then who am I to think otherwise? Your sin is unforgivable." Salvatore muttered. Aurora didn't even know she was crying until she felt the tears leak from her eyes. She was in shock! Where in God's name had she been taken to? When she sighted the blood gushing from the man's head indicating that they had previously beaten him, Aurora ran towards them. She could not bear to see death. She could not bear to see another person suffer and bleed out like that. When she reached them, she went on her knees and began cleaning the man face with her dress. Salvatore hand freeze on the air as his eyes opened widely. "Shoot! Salvatore, what are you waiting for" a cold voice said from behind them. "Mas...master..." Salvatore tried to speak but he was push aside by the person with the voice. "Let him go or I shoot you" the cold voice echoed but Aurora hugged the bleeding man tighter. She didn't even turn to look at the owner of the voice, but she recognised it immediately. The voice of the figure on the large chair.... "It is God's duty to forgive, but my duty is to kill and destroy offenders and send them out of the earth so others would not get the misfortune of dealing with them again." He said coldly. With one final deep breath, he pulled the trigger , shooting just a few inches away from Aurora and the man. "I will not miss again...let go of the man or you'll die with him" he said, pointing the gun directly at Aurora's head, not minding if Aurora will loose her life. Just as he was about to shoot her, Salvatore yelled... "Master, that's the General's daughter, I brought to you, your wife's look-alike..." Instantly Aurora let go of the criminal and turned her back, her eyes met with the coldest eyes she had ever seen, what stopped her breath was the eyes belonged to the most handsome man ever. Their eyes locked and she lost her voice for a moment.
Aurora's heart still raced as she stood on her feet, her body frozen, her eyes locked on the man...she recognised his face from the portrait she had just seen at the hallway. Oh, he definitely looked so much more handsome with a smile on his face. The only problem was the smile was what she could only describe as a cold, dangerous smirk. She felt like she was in a nightmare. His gaze seemed to bore into her soul, making her skin crawl. Her eyes beat in fast pace as she stared at his dark brown eyes... His eyes narrowed slightly as he took a step closer to her. "Salvatore, take her away," he ordered, his voice was cold as ice. Salvatore, quickly grabbed Aurora's arm and pulled her away from the scene. She followed reluctant, her eyes fixed on the man. He was the one... He was their master and he was behind her captivity. Aurora suddenly felt like having supernatural powers...She felt like punching him and destroying his bones. * Salvatore pushed her into Lady Brielle room, and Aurora collapsed onto the bed, her body trembling. "You were going to do it. You were going to kill him... and that man, he was going to kill me too... How? Why?" Aurora yelled. "You need to calm down," Salvatore said, his voice slightly softer than before. "You have a lot to learn if you're going to play the role of Lady Brielle." Aurora looked up at him, her eyes flashing with anger. "I won't do it," she spat. "I won't pretend to be someone I'm not." Salvatore expression turned cold. "You don't have a choice in this matter, miss. The master wants you to do that, and what the master wants, the master gets." Aurora's heartbeat increased. she felt like she was loosing her mind. Was she stuck here? Forever? Will no one come looking for her? No!! This was the height of it. She must find her way out. She needed to. If no one could free her from this terrible place, she would have to do it herself. Tonight won't pass by. Suddenly, she felt her stomach rumble, she clutched her hungry stomach realising she had not eaten all day. There was no way she was going out there now when it was still bright. They had guns! She would just need to bear it till she could escape later. She opened the laptop and clicked the first video on it. She started watching Brielle's life. Aurora scoffed when she saw how young Brielle was. She could even pass as her twin! How suspicious... She was the only child of The general, so who was this Brielle? She never believed in doppelgängers, but right now... she was not so sure. Her stomach grumbled for food once more, and Aurora knew she could not ignore it anymore. Aurora stood from the bed and walked towards the door. She opened the door and walked towards Salvatore, who stood guarding outside the room. "I need food" she called out, her voice firm. Salvatore walked away without a response, but returned almost immediately with a tray of food, which he placed on the bedside table. "Eat quickly...then prepare and get dressed... we are having a welcome party for lady Brielle tonight." He said and walked away. Locking the large door behind him. Aurora scoffed at the locked door. Tonight... Salvatore's POV: "Boss! Just as you said, news has come to us from the generals residence. The general woke up only to find his daughter missing." Salvatore said as he stood in front the large throne his master was sitting on. "Apparently, he is making a whole lot of issues with his security personnel, huffing and puffing at the government and being a general nuisance in the country. It won't be long before they are pressured to start a nationwide search for her. The good thing is that there is no evidence pointing her disappearance to us" Salvatore finished, concluding his report. His boss's voice came from the throne, cold, silent and terrifying. "Good". That was it. That was as much as he would be saying. Salvatore knew it too. "Aurora will be very useful to our clan... We will get the mother fucker by all means." Salvatore whispered and exited with a bow. *** Aurora POV: Aurora could hear the music coming from the party as she stood outside the large door leading to the hall. She could not escape coming to the party, not when Salvatore and two more guards were standing in front of her door, one of them holding a dress. She had worn the dress and walked into the party, holding the hem of the dress nervously while her heart pounded in her chest. Just as she walked into the large hall filled with a gang of unfamiliar people talking and dancing, the music stopped abruptly. Aurora turned to see that everyone was looking at her. The logo on the screen lit up, and a voice announced, "Lady Brielle is back, and Alan has been defeated." The crowd cheered loudly, clapping and smiling at her but Aurora felt even more uneasy. She looked around, confused. Lady Brielle? Alan?... The cheers and applause only made her feel more anxious. Who is Alan? What the fuck is going on? So many questions kept running through her mind. "I'm not Brielle, I'm Aurora!" she suddenly yelled feeling even more confused and scared. She had been told to lie to a child, not a full gang of adults!! What the heck was going on? If this was a nightmare, it was the longest, most confusing one she has ever had, she needed to wake up from it, what the fuck! The gang members only stared at her strangely after she yelled her name. A teenage boy with a big grin shouted "Oh don't be silly, Lady Brielle. I'm Axe, the hacker." He smiled a toothy smile. "...You've been gone for two years, but two years is never enough to forget Axe." He said with a pout. A girl with so much pride sashayed towards her, Aurora could already smell the pride and ego wafting from her before she even got close to her. She stopped right in front of Aurora, and folded her arms under her breast, scrutinising her with her eyes. "Mmm.. something isn't right... but then again, there's always been something wrong with you. I'm Sasha, the striker... you know? the girl you hate?" When aurora did not respond, Sasha walked away with a light scoff. The introductions continued, but Aurora's head was spinning. These people's weird enthusiasm towards her would surely make her loose her mind. She just could not keep up. All her life, she had been Aurora, first and only daughter of the general, and now, she is being called Brielle. What the actual heck! "Damn!!! I mean, I always knew boss would always do the impossible, but this just takes the cake! I still can't get passed how he got lady Brielle back after all what Alan did. Now baby Marisol will be fine." Axe said, before drinking deeply directly from the bottle of champagne. Why was he deceiving all of them? What did he have to gain from doing all this? Aurora thought as she stood on shaky feet like a fish out of water. Suddenly, the devil himself walked in, his footsteps sending shivers down her spine. As he walked closer, approaching her with deliberate, determined steps, Aurora stepped back unconsciously. She hate being a coward, but dammit, this man had such a dark aura surrounding him. He walked briefly towards her, and when Aurora thought it could get worse, he reached out and grabbed her face gently. Goosebumps exploded all over her body, her throat became so dry, she could hardly swallow.... He bent his head lower till his mouth was directly at her ear and whispered "You've change your lens to blue, I prefer your eyes green instead, baby"
Aurora had been confused before, but now, seeing the way he was staring deeply into her ocean eyes, she was an epitome of confusion. They should make a statue of her at this point. "Oooohhhhhh!!... Kiss! Kiss!! Kiss!!!" The gang surrounded them laughing and clapping as they chanted. Aurora stepped aside immediately, completely mortified. Kiss??? They wanted her to kiss...him? This devil that kills without thinking? This pompous, dangerous, heartless criminal? She did not care whatever games he was playing, she would not be handing out her first kiss to him. Never. She stepped backwards again hoping to put as much space between them as possible, but this demon of a man gripped her neck lightly bringing her face closer to his... Fear and disgust clouded Aurora's mind. He was going to do it... he was really going to kiss her. She looked around and no one was going to save her from getting her first kiss stolen by this monster. Aurora spat directly on his face. She could hear the whole gang in the party gasp in shock. Good. If he was going to kill her, she would die knowing that she protected her virtue. She wiggled from his hold and put some much needed distance between them. She turned towards the gang and her heart almost dropped to her stomach. At least... 20 guns were pointed directly at her, even Axe had his gun pointed at her. The rest of them held their guns close to them, confused but ready to defend their master. She stood there like a head in headlights beside the devil in the midst of the gangsters. "Everyone, leave!" The monster beside her instructed the gangsters and they left. Immediately they left, he grabbed her neck tightly, smashing her back on the nearest wall, choking her till she saw stars. "How dare you?" He said, his voice very low and cold. Aurora did not respond. He closed the distance between their faces, but instead of trying to kiss her like before he whispered into her ear "How dare you embarrass me in front of my disciples..." Aurora smirked at his reaction but her victory did not last long. Vincenzo pressed her deeper into the wall, his hands on her neck tightening dangerously till she coughed, struggling to take in breath till fears fell from her eyes as she choked. "Please..." She struggled to say. "please. please..." He looked like he was considering letting her go but for a second, but instead, he smirked that dangerous smirk again. "Lick it..." Aurora could not understand what he meant until he repeated it. "Lick the damn spit off of my face!" He had to be fucking insane!!! "Look here, I don't think you know me, so, I'll introduce myself properly..." Aurora whispered , still struggling to free his hand from her neck. "I'm the General's only daughter...Aurora Puro Puccaso...Do you really think you can take me away from my dad in this manner and he would have no idea? Do you think he doesn't know I'm in this sinful place?" Aurora summoned some more courage and said the words she has always wanted to say since she got to this godforsaken mansion. "I am not Brielle. Your wife is dead." "Shut the fuck up! Brielle is alive!!!" His hands on her throat tightened even more, choking her harder.... But Aurora laughed through the tightness in her throat even though the sound was just a whisper. "Alan or whatever his name is.... has defeated you." Vincenzo brought out his gun, pointing it directly into her mouth, his eyes red with fury... "I am Vincenzo West Pecaminoso... Alan can never defeat me, I'm going to destroy him and feed his flesh to the vultures of the air. He will die. I promise you, if I find out the only woman I have ever loved is dead, I will destroy him!!" he yelled angrily, his fingers still on the trigger... Aurora shivered. Was she really going to die like her mother? Won't she get to see her father? And who the hell was Alan and what did he have to do with her? She shivered fearfully. "Please..." She muttered, but Vincenzo was not having it..... For a moment, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. Then, Vincenzo's expression twisted in rage, and he pulled the gun out of her mouth, and instead brought his face closer. "You think you're clever, don't you?" Vincenzo sneered, his breath hot against her face. "The next time you go against me, you will loose your stupid father..." Aurora's heart failed completely. Vincenzo walked away...leaving her with just goosebumps and his cinnamon scent still lingering on her skin. Aurora coughed, gasping for breath and drawing in as much air into her lungs as she possibly could, while her hand instinctively rubbed at her aching throat. Aurora's eyes twitched in pure anger as she watched his retreating back. She needed to escape, she had to escape... This place was never meant for her, this hellhole... was too filthy for her.... A general's daughter in a criminal camp? Never!... With a solid resolve forming in her head, Aurora walked out of the large, empty party hall. She did not stop when she got to her room. She did not stop when she saw the looming entrance of the large mansion. Instead, she began tipping her toes and walking forward towards the door. Aurora walked slowly and steadily till she walked out of the door. She felt the instant chill of the night on her skin, causing her to shiver. She heard the call and response of the crickets outside the mansion and the birds of the night crying. It was obvious everybody had gone to their various rooms. The place was too quiet, which meant they were no guards loitering the area...weird. Where they all exhausted because of the party? Aurora did not wait to find out. She continued walking towards the gate. As she approached the gate, the guard's eyes widened in surprise. "Open the door for Lady Brielle," she commanded, her voice dripping with authority and a hint of venom lady Brielle always had in the videos she had watched. The guard hesitated, his eyes darting nervously between her face and the darkness beyond the gate. "My lady, it...it...it is not safe for you to go out at this hour," he stammered. Aurora's eyes flashed with anger. "Should I smite your tongue?" she spat, her voice rising. "Give me that gun." She said with the same fierce tone. The guard hesitated for a moment before handing over his weapon. Aurora's eyes glinted with a fierce determination as she trained the gun on the guard. "The next time you interfere in my business , I'll kill you." The gates swung open, and Aurora stepped out into the night, the cool breeze hitting her like a slap in the face, finally Freedom.
