Chapter 3

I clenched my palms. My throat was choked and I couldn’t say a word.

Zach had always been resolute. After he sent me to the house in the suburbs, he never cared about my life or death.

A few days later, Zach called suddenly and his tone was extremely anxious.

“Where are you now?”

I was stunned for a moment. Just as I was about to speak, I heard Zach said firmly, “No matter where you are, come to the Central Hospital right now.”

We had been together for a long time, even if our hearts were separated, the tacit understanding was still there.

My intuition told me that Zach must have had a big accident.

I hesitated for a few seconds, finally put on a coat and hurried out.

As soon as I arrived at the emergency room, I saw Zach standing in front of the emergency room door.

But he lowered his head, frowned and looked worried.

Zach saw me from a distance and immediately ran toward me with big strides.

He almost dragged me to the next room.

Before I could ask for details, the nurse next to me spoke up. “You have type O blood, right?”

I nodded in confusion. The nurse asked about my physical condition while lifting my sleeves and pushing the thick needle into my vein.

I felt a sharp pain in my arm and suddenly realized that this was a blood draw.

The nurse looked at me and asked out of boredom, “What is your relationship with the man outside? He and his girlfriend had a car accident. When they were sent here, they were almost crazy. The hospital blood bank was in urgent need and he made more than a dozen calls and felt like crying. I really envy his girlfriend for having such a boyfriend who loves her.”

Hearing this, I couldn’t describe how I felt.

I felt nauseous in addition to being shocked and angry.

My heart seemed to be pinched by a pair of hands and the pain was not over yet.

So, Zach called me here in a hurry just to donate blood for Serena?!

Let’s not talk about how disgusting it was to let the original wife give blood to the mistress.

Did Zach forget so quickly that I had just had an abortion and was suffering from severe anemia?

Did he really not care about my life or death at all?

After the blood was drawn, I rested on the bench in the corridor for half an hour before I slowly calmed down.

I never liked the smell of the hospital, cold, dead and silent. I faintly revealed a suffocating despair.

I got up and left.

But I didn’t expect to run into Serena coming out of the emergency room. A group of people pushed her forward and Zach was anxiously guarding her side.

He was full of fear. When he saw me, he froze in place and a guilty look flashed across his face.

Maybe he had a guilty conscience, or he felt sorry for me when he saw me looking as pale as a ghost.

Zach walked toward me. “Serena’s situation was really urgent just now, so I had no choice but to…”

I raised my hand and slapped him hard.

The betrayal, deception, hurt and concealment one after another had already made my patience reach its limit.

Zach covered his face and looked at me with wide eyes.

“Harmony, what the hell are you doing?! Just because I asked you to give Serena a little blood, you are so unhappy and angry?” Zach roared.

The dizziness after losing blood came again.

I forced myself not to show any weakness in front of Zach, clenched my teeth tightly and sweated.

“Harmony, I’m talking to you! A narrow-minded, selfish and willful shrew like you, whether I have lost my memory or not, I will never fall in love with you.”

The discomfort in my body seemed to completely dissipate at this moment.

Chapter 4

I stared at Zach with red eyes.

In anger, the man’s eyebrows and eyes were full of extremely real disgust and fatigue.

Narrow-minded, selfish and willful?

As the most favored child in the family, I had been spoiled since I was a child and my temper was not gentle.

But the most willful thing I had done since I was a child was to be with him despite my parents’ strong opposition.

At the beginning, Zach wanted to start a business and start a company, but he couldn’t afford so much money. I took out all my savings without saying a word to support him.

A full 70,000 dollars, not too much, not too little, giving enough opportunities to strive for progress and make a name for himself.

When I was with Zach, I would occasionally act out of temper and get angry with him.

But at that time, he would still coax me gently and patiently, saying that I was so cute.

Now, I had become the shrew in his mouth?!

I stared at Zach’s face and inexplicably thought of his pretending to have amnesia.

Ha! It turned out that he used the guise of amnesia to say everything in his heart.

Zach looked at my pale face and a moment of hesitation flashed between his eyebrows.

He subconsciously reached out to touch me, but I ruthlessly dodged him.

“If that’s the case, let’s get a divorce.”

I met Zach’s panicked and unbelieving eyes firmly.

Our eyes met, my tone was cold and I repeated word by word again,

“Zach, let’s get a divorce.”

Zach’s face suddenly changed and he subconsciously said, “Harmony, what tricks are you trying to play?!”

“I’m serious. Since you care so much about Serena and love her so much that you are willing to take my life to save her again and again, why don’t I withdraw voluntarily and help you two?”

I continued, “In this way, you can be with Serena openly and you don’t have to face me, a narrow-minded, selfish and willful shrew every day.”

Zach stared at my eyes as if trying to see the slightest joke or anger on my face.

But there was none!

My expression was as cold as ice. In the past, my heart and eyes were full of him and I never mentioned the word divorce even when we quarreled.

Seeing this, Zach finally panicked.

He frowned and looked at me with complicated eyes.

Could it be that he really went too far this time?

“I don’t agree!”

Zach grabbed my shoulder and our eyes met, but I turned my head away and didn’t want to look at him again.

“Harmony, remember this, you can’t divorce without my permission!”

I was about to speak.

A nurse ran over in a hurry. “Mr. Blanton, Miss Castillo just woke up and is now making a fuss to find you. Go and comfort her.”

Hearing this, Zach was instantly delighted and his original displeasure was swept away at this moment.

He let go of me and almost without hesitation, he turned to find Serena.

I was stunned, like a poor woman who was ruthlessly abandoned.

Staring at Zach’s back as he walked further and further away, the arc of sarcasm gradually rose.
