Chapter 6

In a few days, the video of me causing a scene at Oliver's wedding was uploaded online by a guest and caused a heated discussion.

As the person involved, I was contacted by various marketing accounts and interviewed. Regarding this, I said, "My baby is gone. No matter what, they will always be the people I love the most. I won't stop them from being happy."

For a while, I became the most pitiful girl online, and Oliver and Sydney were severely criticized.

But I had no time to care about that because I was collecting loans.

After my mom found out about this, she thought I was too idle and sent me to collect rent and loans.

This company owed more than a million dollars in loans and was late in paying them.

My fake belly came in handy again.

I dressed up, put the fake belly on, and came to this company. Well, I didn't do anything except stand there and ask the receptionist while touching my belly, "Is Mr. Bailey here?"

After a week, Curtis Bailey became anxious and called me, saying, "I will pay you back the money, but you must explain to my company's employees and my wife. You were just here to collect the debt!"

He should have paid me back long ago.

I smiled and answered, "OK. Once you transfer the money, I will clarify."

In no time, the money was transferred.

Suddenly, someone patted my shoulder, scaring me into thinking that Curtis wanted to silence me by killing me.

I turned my head, and it turned out to be Anthony, wearing a delivery uniform.

"Opal, you... You're pregnant again?"

He saw me in both my pregnancies. It was quite embarrassing. He wouldn't think I have any fetishes, would he?

I shushed him, indicating for him to quietly watch me perform.

I said to the receptionist, "I'm here to collect a debt. Don't get me wrong. It's nothing personal. Please."

Chapter 7

I pulled Anthony out of the door, no longer caring about what Curtis would suffer because of my words.

Walking on the road, I was about to take out the fake belly, but I found that my hand was being held.

Oh, I remembered that I was the one who held Anthony's hand first.

I let go, but my hand still couldn't move.

I raised an eyebrow and looked at Anthony, shaking his hand that was tightly holding mine.

He only seemed to come back to his senses now, blushing and looking at me innocently. "I'm sorry, Opal, your hand is so soft... I forgot to let go. You won't blame me, right?"

How could I? His tone was so sweet.

I looked him up and down and slowly said, "Are you very short of money?"

Anthony lowered his eyes and hesitated. Then he said, "Sort of."

"Well, forget it. I was going to treat you to a meal..." I muttered to myself. Then I encouraged him, "Go to work, or you'll be fined for being late!"

But his hearing was good, and he heard my whisper. He became energetic at once. "You want to treat me to a meal? Let's go! Right now!"

"But... your salary will be deducted."

"No more orders today. Let's go, Opal."

I looked at the bags of takeout behind his electric scooter and fell silent.

Chapter 8

In the end, I insisted on accompanying Anthony to deliver all the takeout.

Otherwise, it would be too unfair to the poor souls waiting for their takeout.

Anthony, who had bought water at the convenience store, walked toward me and asked me to extend my hand. Then he put a large bottle of jasmine tea in my hand.

It was a bit heavy, and I almost didn't catch it properly.

"How did you know I like to drink this?"

Looking at the bottle of drink in my hand, I couldn't help but marvel at how good Anthony was at choosing. His casual pick happened to be my favorite.

He scratched his head shyly and answered, his ears slightly red, "Because you post it a lot on your Instagram."

He cared a lot about details. Then I might as well let him be part of my post today.

I held up the drink and took selfies with Anthony. We were such a perfect match.

But when he bent down and leaned against my head, his breath next to my ear tickled me a bit.

While we were taking photos, Anthony's magnetic voice suddenly passed through my ears like an electric current. "Opal..."

Shit! Goosebumps covered my whole body, and my legs suddenly went weak. I almost couldn't stand, but luckily, he caught me in time.

I touched my ear awkwardly and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I'm hungry. Let's go eat."

Did he really need to be so close to tell me that he was hungry? I bet he did it on purpose.

I gave him a meaningful look, but he looked innocent and righteous.

Well, maybe I was overthinking. After all, he's a young guy. Why would he think as much as an old woman like me?
