I looked at Grandmother, her eyes mirroring the sadness I felt within. My world had shattered, and a new wave of heartache crashed over me. The realisation of his quick replacement plunged me into a deeper abyss of sorrow. In my world, death was better than being an omega. I was slowly slipping away from reality.
"Annie ,"
I just wanted to die or wake up from this nightmare.
"Annie, are you still listening?" Abel's urgency jolted me back from the brink, yet the persistent darkness within echoed a silent scream through the shattered pieces of my world.
"Yeah, I am, Abel. It's just that everything is happening all at once, and it's really hard for me to take in," I admitted, my voice overwhelmed with emotions. It was hard to believe everything that was happening and how easily Lucas was quick to replace me.
Abel looked at me in understanding and nodded his head sympathetically. Abel was unmated, and I have never seen him with a female, so I doubt he understood all I was going through right to now
Abel looked at me in understanding and nodded his head sympathetically. Abel was unmated, and so I doubt he understood all I was going through right now.
"I understand, Luna, what it feels like to be betrayed by someone you love," he muttered with a distant look in his eyes, then his face suddenly changed to one of determination.
"That's why we need to prepare to go back to the Red Moon pack. The sooner you begin your revenge, the better for you to fix your life back together and move on." I looked up to him, acknowledging the need to face the tumultuous challenges awaiting me at the place where love had crumbled and betrayal set in.
At this time, everything was pitch black with no way out to set my plans into motion,Then, I knew what I had to do and that was to request favour from the moon goddess and fortunately she answered me at the darkest hour, I emerged not as a person without severe injuries but as a new person; someone strong, someone who's ready to eliminate all her enemies. My eyes fluttered open and I exhale, it was like breaths were gathering in my nose. I gasp and sprung from bed.
My eye-mind told me I needed a complete makeover since I wouldn't take revenge with my real identity, it was too risky with Lucas being the Alpha of two powerful packs. It would be difficult to take him down.
I would really need Abel's help in getting disguise. I was thankful to the moon goddess before bringing me back , none of them would be spared starting from Lucas and Jennifer's to his parents beta who also contributed to causing me pain .
You all should watch out for me because I am not the girl you know anymore. I have made numerous mistakes of being too nice, shy and kind oblivious of what the world was truly made of; I won't make those mistakes twice again. I won't let them trample on me any longer like trash. I know my place and I'm ready to get it. I won't let their union hold, Lucas and Jennifer will pay dearly. But before then, I would have to separate them.
Abel presented a radiant invitation card, beckoning various wolf packs to witness Lucas's union with Jennifer.
"Annie, this is your chance to retaliate," Abel whispered, his eyes gleaming with intrigue. "A grand ball precedes the wedding ceremony, offering the perfect setting for your revenge.”
“We will both attend as a couple from this pack to avoid and divert any sort of suspicion.”
I looked up in amazement to see him crocked a mischievous eyebrow at me. I blushed with warmth radiating from my body.
“When are we leaving for the wedding? I asked with eagerness, I couldn't wait to face two traitors who called themselves my fiancee and best friend in the past.
“All arrangement have been done, we will leave tomorrow at sunrise.” I was quite surprised that Abel had all arrangement ready. But I couldn't fathom to why Abel was so interested in helping me get revenge. From rescuing me to nursing me back to my life and now he was accompanying me back to where it all started.
We left the following day after informing his grandmother about our departure. Missing her was an understatement, she and Abel treated me like family and I had come to loved them like family,I was forever indebted to them, after promises of coming back in the near future, she gave her blessings and wished me well in my endeavors. While on the ride back to Osborne. Abel told me we would be visiting my parent's final resting place, I was super reminded of my fractured world
When we arrived at the graveyard my father's tombstone laid next to my mother's own. Lightly I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Abel comforting me His brown eyes pitied me, handing me a pair of fresh daisies, I gently placed them on my parents grave.
Arriving secretly at a guest house in Osborne, I was a bit surprised that Abel had all arrangement ready for my plans. I was grateful to have him by my side. He opened the door ever so slowly, and allowed me to enter the room. The room looked like a work out room, but some things were out of place, for lack of better words. On the right side of the room, there was a punching bag hanging from the ceiling and several life size dummies.
You will have more time to learn how to fight. Werewolves are tough to kill, but you have Baltimore blood in you. Not much, but it is there, and we have got to let your strength and will fight free.” Abel held my hands while reassuring me.
I was still oblivious to why he was helping me this much. My stylist was already waiting in the room and we proceeded towards my makeover & transformation. I looked at myself in the mirror and was surprised. I looked a different person.
My brown messy hair was now a straight blonde hair, my green eyes was now wearing blue lens and my thick eyebrows shaved into a thin line. I was surprised to the room I lodged into with a wardrobe filled with designer clothes.
Flipping quickly through the wardrobe for something to wear. I got a metallic gown with straps which was quite fitting since I would be attending a ball, it rather an informal attire. Also it matched my favourite golden colour of heels. I had to wore it, not to mention they also fitted my bust perfectly.
I applied a bit and picked up a matching purse before stepping out of the room, I saw a message pop on my phone, it was a short message from Abel saying he would be late for the ball and he would join me later. The chauffeur was already waiting for me. When I got to the venue of the back, it was already in full swing, music blurred from the speakers and I could see representatives from different wolf pack enjoying themselves, couples danced with each other. I took a seat and watched everything keenly.
The soon-to-be married couple entrance was announced, I turned my face backwards see the two traitors walking majestically into the hall like they owned the world.
