Chapter 1

After Beta Benicio Lewis drove drunk and hit a Delta from our pack, I took the blame and spent two years in the rogue cells. The day after my release, we hurriedly planned a mating ceremony.

That night, he led me into the packhouse’s largest room, which was cloaked in darkness. He shoved me onto the bed, and I instinctively reached for him. But then all the lights suddenly switched on, and I was shocked to see several Alphas from neighboring packs surrounding the bed. Their dominant auras pressed down on me, making it hard to breathe.

"I’ve never been with an Omega from the rogue cells before. I wonder how this will turn out," one of them sneered, his Alpha tone cutting through the air. I attempted to get up, but my limbs felt weak, my body burning up, and all the men looked like Benicio. My wolf whimpered in the back of my mind, but I silenced her, refusing to show weakness.

I was held captive and tormented for a full month. When they discovered I was pregnant, they finally let me go. Eventually, I met Benicio again after such a long time.

"You did well. Our alliance with their packs is now secured," he said with satisfaction, his Beta authority radiating as if he’d already ascended to Alpha. I gritted my teeth, demanding, "Why did you do this to me?"

"If it weren’t for this, Brynlee Anderson, the Alpha’s daughter from the Crimson Fang Pack, would never have felt comfortable mating with me. She felt guilty over the drunk-driving incident that landed you in the rogue cells, and I would have wed her ages ago."

"Now that you know the truth, I’ll give you one last choice: either take your own life, or I’ll subject you to more torment. Decide."

In despair, I slammed my head into the corner of a table, ending both my life and that of the unborn child. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day of my release, the scent of pine and earth filling my nostrils as I stood outside the Silver Moon Packhouse.

Returning to the doorstep of my familiar home, there was Beta Benicio, just like before, as if eagerly anticipating my return. His broad shoulders and muscular frame were framed by the soft glow of the setting sun, making him appear particularly commanding. He held a vibrant bouquet of wolfsbane and wore a warm smile. In another life, witnessing this scene would have filled me with warmth, as if the injustices of the rogue cells had vanished in that moment. Yet, I hadn’t recognized the malicious intent behind his smile.

Who could have guessed that beneath those flowers and that smile lay a deep betrayal? I took a deep breath, striving to calm the turmoil inside me, my wolf growling softly in warning.

Beta Benicio saw me standing at the door and approached with a smile, his Alpha-like presence radiating even in his Beta role. "Martha, you’re finally back," he said warmly, offering the bouquet to me. I stood still for a moment, then pretended to be shy, accepting the flowers. "Beta Benicio, thank you," I whispered, my voice trembling slightly.

He gently took my hand, his eyes sparkling with an odd light, as if surprised and delighted by my reaction today. "Martha, you look more beautiful today than ever," he said admiringly, each word seemingly overflowing with tenderness.

I smiled faintly and softly replied, "Shall we go inside?" With that, I stepped into the house first, my Omega status making me move with deliberate grace. Beta Benicio followed, his eyes filled with anticipation and excitement.

I sat on the couch and silently watched him bustling about. Pouring coffee, peeling apples—everything seemed so natural, as if we were truly a couple about to mate. Yet, I knew it was an illusion. His tenderness and attentiveness were all to mask his inner schemes and betrayals. My wolf growled again, but I pushed her down, focusing on the task at hand.

I tightened my grip on the bouquet, feeling the petals quiver slightly under my fingertips. Memories of the previous life’s painful experiences flooded my mind, etched like deep scars on my heart, never to be erased.

"Martha, are you alright? You don’t seem well," Beta Benicio suddenly asked, sitting beside me with concern. I looked up, searching his eyes for sincerity. But all I saw was indifference and calculation.

"I’m fine, just a bit tired," I replied flatly, turning away. He remained silent for a moment, then abruptly grasped my hand. "Martha, you know, I really care for you. I’d do anything for you."

Hearing this, I couldn’t help but scoff internally. Care for me? Care enough to send me to the rogue cells, put me in someone else’s bed, let me be tortured for a month until I was pregnant, and then drive me to a hopeless suicide. That kind of care, I cannot afford.

I gently withdrew my hand, stood up, and softly said, "Beta Benicio, let’s mate."

Chapter 2

Benicio’s expression flickered with surprise, quickly replaced by delight. He had no idea of the resolve and chill in my tone, mistaking my words for simple agreement with his wishes.

"Really, Martha? I’m thrilled! How about we get engaged tomorrow?" He jumped up with excitement, pulling me into a tight embrace as if trying to meld our bodies into one.

I let him hold me, a cold smile forming within, while outwardly maintaining a gentle demeanor. "Sure, tomorrow sounds perfect," I said softly, as if genuinely agreeing with him.

Overjoyed, he lifted me and spun around like a child with a shiny new toy. "Martha, you’re amazing! I love you! Let’s go try on some Victorian-style dresses this afternoon!" he exclaimed, his voice bubbling with excitement and joy.

I nodded, allowing him to carry me, all the while chuckling inwardly. Because, of course, if I strayed from the path set by my past life, how could my plans ever come to fruition? In this life, I was resolute that they would pay for their misdeeds with due consequences.

As soon as I stepped outside, I discreetly video-called Brynlee Anderson without Benicio noticing. As we spoke, I studied her expressions, searching for any hint of inner turmoil. "Brynlee, Beta Benicio and I are getting engaged tomorrow. Would you like to be my maid of honor?" I asked in a deliberately light and cheerful tone, keen to see her reaction.

Predictably, her face fell, displaying a mix of emotions—shock, embarrassment, jealousy—all crossing her features before being quickly masked by a pretense of concern for me. "Martha, isn’t it a bit sudden to get engaged so quickly? Don’t you think you should discuss it more? Maybe I should talk to Beta Benicio?"

Benicio, so familiar and intimate, made the corners of my mouth curl into a cold smile. How naive I had been in my previous life, unable to see through such two-faced duplicity. I hadn’t even doubted it when Beta Benicio claimed he’d been driving drunk and hit someone, instantly offering to take the fall for him. It wasn’t until I was at death’s door that I realized it was my dear friend for whom I was taking the blame.

"No need, Brynlee. Beta Benicio’s barely containing his excitement. Come over now and help me decide which Victorian-style dress looks best. I’ll send you the location via WhatsApp."

With that, I ended the call abruptly, my thoughts darkening. Judging by her reaction, it seemed Beta Benicio hadn’t told her about the vile deeds he did to me in our past life—not that he would. To him, Brynlee was the moon in the sky; he could never bear to let her see the shadows.

As I waited for Brynlee to arrive, I couldn’t help but notice the subtle tension in the air. Beta Benicio’s aura, usually commanding and dominant, now felt almost suffocating as he hovered around me, his excitement palpable. His broad shoulders and towering frame, typical of a high-ranking werewolf, seemed to fill the room, his presence impossible to ignore.

But I wasn’t intimidated. Not this time. My wolf stirred within me, a quiet but steady reminder of the strength I had always possessed, even as an Omega. I wasn’t just Martha, the lowly Omega who had been wronged. I was Martha, the one who would bring justice to the Silver Moon Pack, no matter how high the ranks of those who stood against me.

Chapter 3

Brynlee soon arrived at the bridal boutique, hesitating by the door until I linked my arm with hers like a close friend.

"Brynn, you finally made it! Help me decide which gown the Beta picked out that suits me best. I've nearly given myself a headache trying to choose!"

For a moment, a complicated emotion flickered in her eyes, but she quickly resumed her usual friendly manner.

"Wow, each one is so gorgeous. You're definitely ascending in rank this time," she exclaimed, exaggerating her praise while examining the ornate details of each Victorian-style dress, her eyes betraying a hint of envy.

I didn't reply but instead turned to find the Beta.

"Beta Benicio, I think the dress Brynn's holding is the best. How about we go with that one?"

He heard me but seemed momentarily caught off guard, his brow furrowing slightly before he recovered with a tender smile.

"Sure, love, I trust your choice. But what is Brynlee doing here?"

I gave him a knowing smile, a hint of mischief in my eyes.

"Oh, I asked Brynn to help me pick out the dress. She's my best friend, and it's only right she's involved in such an important decision."

The Beta looked a bit surprised but quickly nodded with his usual charming manner.

"Of course, it's better with her here. Now, you continue picking out dresses, and I'll get us some coffee."

I watched him leave and then turned to Brynlee. Her expression remained strained despite her efforts to maintain a smile. I chuckled inwardly, knowing the real show was just starting.

After waiting a moment, I pretended to recall something and said, "Oh dear, I forgot to confirm the makeup with the stylist. Please excuse me for a moment."

With that, I exited the fitting room. Once a certain distance away, I checked the footage from the small camera I had planted in the fitting room earlier.

Brynlee was sitting on the couch, clutching her chest tightly, her eyes wide as she stared at the Beta, who had returned.

Her gaze was questioning: "Beta Benicio, have you changed your mind?"

The Beta smiled tenderly, pulling her gently into his arms and calming her with a soft voice:

"Brynn, I've not changed a thing. You're the one I love. Everything I do is for our future together!"

Brynlee looked at him, bewildered. "Our future?"

The Beta smugly revealed his plan to Brynlee.

"Tomorrow night's mating ceremony guests are all my business partners from Amazon. They have certain... unusual interests. If I hand Martha over to them, they'll agree to the deal. The profits will be ours."

Upon hearing the Beta's plan, Brynlee relaxed instantly, leaning against him coyly. "Then, Benny, don't touch that woman, or I'll walk away."

"When we get married, I want a luxurious gown and the villa in the Skyview neighborhood."

The Beta playfully tapped Brynlee's nose, indulging her whims. "Of course, it'll all be yours!"

With that, the Beta pulled Brynlee close, and they shared a passionate kiss.

I stood coldly in front of the screen, watching it all unfold with indifference. The pain and despair from my past life had stripped away any illusions about these two.

When their fervor seemed about to get out of hand, I deliberately amplified my footsteps and returned to the fitting room door.

Inside, they hastily separated, their clothes rumpled, lipstick smeared, the air heavy with awkward tension.

I walked leisurely back into the fitting room, stood in front of the mirror, and fixed my makeup, as if nothing had happened.
