Chapter 5
Ariana's POV
My mum finally left my bedroom, after she had made sure I had stopped crying.
I had made a wrong decision before, but from now, I'm never going to repeat it again, and I'm also going to make sure my mum gives her concerns on everything that I want to do, before I go ahead with it.
I thought and sighed softly, as I relaxed back into my bed, as I glanced up at the ceiling, as my mind flashed back all the consolation words my mum had told me.
I really owe her a lot, and I'm going to make sure I make up to her from now onwards. I took a deep breath, as I readjust myself on the bed, finally sitting up now.
TWO MONTHS LATER
I walked into my bedroom, looking so tired, and stressed, as I quickly dropped my handbag and cell phone on my bed, and had my seat on my bed.
"Gosh I'm so exhausted," I complained,as I slowly started talking off my jewellery.
I have started working at my father's company, and I am really doing well at it now. It's already been two months since I divorce Sebastian, and I have already gotten over him.
My mom was really so supportive to me, and that made it easier for me to get over the hurt I was feeling from what Sebastian did to me.
To be honest Sebastian and his family deserve nothing but sorrows, as that was what they were good at inflicting on someone else. And I'm never going to forgive them for that.
I sighed softly, and I tried to stop dwelling in my thoughts, but just then, there was a knock on my bedroom door, making me sighed softly as I wondered who it could be.
"Who's there?" I asked while still seated on my bed, as I fixed my glance at the door.
"It's me ma'am," I heard Anna's voice, who happened to be the maid in the house, making me sighed softly.
"What do you want, Anna?" I asked her, while not making any attendance, to stand up from where I was seated.
"Ma'am, I brought you a dress," she responded, making me realise I had sent her to get me a new dress earlier before leaving for the office.
"Oh my bad, come in," I spoke up, and the door cracked open immediately revealing Anna, as she walked closer to me.
"Let me see," I told her, and she quickly brought it out of the bag, making me smile immediately, as I stared at the red dress before me.
"This is so beautiful, you know how to please me," I complimented her, while she just smiled.
"Just drop it there," I told her, pointing to a spot on my bed, while she nodded, and moved closer to there.
Once she dropped it, she turned around to leave, but stopped.
"Ma'am, are you going to have dinner at home before leaving?" She asked me, making me widen my eyes in disbelief as I stared at her.
"How can you ask me a question, when you know I'm going for a dinner date?" I asked her, still finding it hard to believe she just asked such a question right now.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I will just leave," she said bowing her head, as she finally walked out of my bedroom.
"She is so unbelievable," I muttered, as I finally raised to my feet, and started making my way to my bathroom.
I walked into the restaurant with Dylan who was walking behind me, as he held onto my hands, while I tried to put on a smile as I went to the VIP section.
We both had our seats, and the menus were brought to us. "What would you like to have?" Dylan asked me, making me sighed softly as I glanced at the menu again and again.
I really can't decide on something to take right now, but I just had to order something, so I just pointed to my usual food.
"I'm going to have this," I said, pointing it out to Dylan.
"You really like pasta, I must confess," he said with a smile plastered on his face, as I just nodded my head, faking a smile too.
"I really don't like pasta that much, but I'm going to also order it since I want to eat whatever you are eating today," he said, as he also tried to place an order for it too.
"Come on Dylan you don't have to eat it because I'm eating it, you can order what you like eating," I told him, hoping he would stop and just place an order for what he likes.
"I have already decided to eat whatever you are eating, so please just let me do that," he told me, but I really don't want it.
"But you don't.." I was still talking but her placed his hands on my lips stopping me from saying anything further.
"I have already decided to eat it today,so you don't really have to worry about it," he told me again, but I told him he shouldn't be having what he doesn't like all because of me.
"I know that, but it's just for today, and if I don't like it then I promise not to have it next time," he said, making me sigh softly as I glanced at him for a while.
"Okay, if you say so," I relaxed back on the chair, and just then the waitress brought our orders.
"Thank you," I mouthed to her, as she smiled immediately and turned around to leave, but her hands hit a glass which fell down and shattered immediately.
"What have you done?" Dylan barked rudely at her.
"I'm very sorry sir," she quickly apologized and bent down to start picking it up.
"Don't do that with your hands, it 's going to get you injured," I protested, trying to make her stop picking the glass with her hands.
"No she should pick it up, so that the next time she can be careful," Dylan insisted, rudely, but I wasn't really placed at what he was doing.
SEBASTIAN'S POV
It has been two months since I got divorce with Ariana, and to be honest, I don't really feel happy about it.
My mum and Valarie have been telling me to get engaged to Samantha, and make her my wife, but I don't really want that, and that's the reason I have been making sure I bring up an excuse whenever they were trying to bring it up.
Somehow I really wished I never had divorce Ariana, maybe in that way, they wouldn't have asked me to get married to Samantha now.
I really don't understand why I can't stop thinking about the night I was drunk and had an intimate with Ariana.
Somehow I felt it was the very best, and I really don't understand why I kept thinking about it, even though I knew I shouldn't be doing that.
Since Ariana the day I took the divorce papers to Ariana, I haven't seen again until now. And to be honest I wished I could see her again.
I really wished I could just go over to their friend's place to see her, but that's totally a bad idea, because I have already divorce her, and my mum and Valarie won't be happy if they find out.
Though I really don't care about what they think, I'm also sure she won't even want to see me.
I thought and took a deep breath, as I started taking out my clothes.
I just returned from the office, and I really had a hectic day today, as I was really so busy with business meetings and making presentations.
I really wished I could have a good rest right now, because I really deserve it. I thought, But just then my bedroom door cracked open, making me quickly turn over there.
"Hi big bro," Valarie said, smiling from ear to ear, as she walked towards me with a magazine in her hand.
"What do you want here Lisa?" I asked her, as she finally stopped right in front of me.
"Look here, the world richest company is organising a party, and I bet all the Rich and famous people would be there," she said, making me sighed as I stared at her, while waiting for her to continue.
"I think we should go to that party, because we might meet more Rich investors there," she suggested, making me shake my head.
"Well I know about the party, and I also got a special invitation from Dylan," I told her, waving the invitation to her face.
"Wow, let me have a look," she rushed to take the invitation so I raised it higher so that she couldn't reach it.
"Come on Sebastian let me have it please," she pleaded, but I wasn't still willing to give it to her.
"Firstly, haven't I told you to stop barging into my bedroom without knocking?" I asked her, and she quickly started apologising.
"That's not good enough, you are really wrong for doing that," I voiced out, and she continued apologising.
"What if I was naked or something?" I asked her, and she apologised again promising not to do that again.
"I know you so well Valarie, and I know what you are capable of, besides this isn't the first time you are promising not to do something like this again," I told her, but she kept insisting she won't do it again.
"Here I have it, but get out of my room," I told her, handing over the invitation to her.
"Thank you so much," she giggled, as she took the invitation from me rushing out of the bedroom immediately, as I sighed softly and watched her do so.
"Valarie, is really something else," I muttered to myself, and shook my head negatively as I resumed taking off my clothes again.
ARIANA'S POV
I was already dressed for the party, as I waited patiently for my makeup artist to come in.
My father's company was hosting a party, and it was all for me, as my father was hosting it all because he wanted to announce me as the new successor of his company.
I really couldn't wait to be announced as the successor of the company, because I was sure the press would definitely attend the party.
It was going to be a way for my true identity to be revealed to the Sean family who had treated me so badly, calling me trash.
I really wished I could see the reaction on their faces when they would see the news, but that's not possible though. I thought and sighed softly, as I remained seated on my dresser.
"Ma'am can we come in?" I heard Anna's voice from outside my bedroom, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, come in," I said, and just then she came in with a lady beside her.
I stared at the lady, hoping for an explanation as to why she was here in my bedroom, and it was like Anna knew what was in my mind, so she spoke up.
"Ma'am, this is the makeup artist," she said,
"Oh, let's begin then," I responded, as the lady quickly opened the bags she had brought, and soon started doing my makeup.
Once she was done, she left me and Anna alone in the bedroom. Glancing at my reflection in the mirror I felt so satisfied with what the lady had done.
"Ma'am, you look so beautiful," Anna complimented me, while I smiled as I glanced at my reflection over and over again.
"Thank you so much," I grinning from ear to ear, as I finally stood up on my feet.
Just as I made my way out of my bedroom, I met Dylan just outside my bedroom.
"You look so stunning," Dylan complimented me, while my smile deepened as I thanked him.
"Please come with me, there are some people I want you to meet," he said, pulling me along with him, as we both walked on.
We walked to a guy and three Ladies, as he stopped, while I tried to adjust myself.
"This is Ariana Swan, the successor of the Swan group," Dylan introduced me, as the man stretched out his hand to me, while I looked up at him and gasped seeing Sebastian standing before me.
SABASTAIN'S POV
"Ariana," my mouth fell open seeing her before me, as I couldn't believe my eyes.
The same Ariana, my ex-wife, I thought, as I started around her, while she frowned immediately.
"What the hell are you doing here, and who brought you here?" She asked me, while moving away from me, making me sighed softly.
"Dylan invited me," I managed to say.
"You both know each other?" Dylan asked, making me sigh softly and she agreed to know me.
"I guess you both have bad memories about each other, since you are acting this way." Dylan said,
"Dylan, is he the one you want me to see?" She asked him, while he nodded in agreement.
"Well I'm not interested in seeing him, I'm out of here," she said, and with that she stormed off leaving just me and Dylan.
I quickly turned to Dylan, before he could leave, and held him in the hand, as I turned to him fully.
"Dylan, who is she?" I asked him, while he sighed softly.
"She is the heiress of the swan family, and she is also my fiancee." Dylan responded to my question, making me swallow hard.
"Wait, does that mean she was the one you were telling me about?" I asked him, while he nodded softly, making me widen my eyes in disbelief.
"I guess you both have a bad history together," Dylan said, making me nod my head recalling how we had treated her back at my family house.
We weren't really nice to her, that was the actual truth, and I really regretted it.
"So that means she wouldn't be willing to do business with you then," Dylan said, making me nod again in agreement.
"Oh that's so bad, because she was really the big shot here, and she won't be willing to do business with you again," Dylan stated, making me take a deep breath.
"I guess so," I said sadly, as he sighs softly.
"Anyway just enjoy the party, I will be with her right now," he said while I just signed him to go, as he walked away from where I was standing, and I couldn't help but just sighed softly.
I walked outside the party feeling so down and annoyed for not fighting for her, while she was with me back in my mansion. Now I knew I was never going to get her again.
I was still dwelling in my thoughts, and totally regretting all my actions and that of my mother's and sister, when I felt a hand tapped me.
I turned around only to see Valarie and my mother. My face turned into a frown immediately, as I stared at both of them.
"What do you both want here?" I asked them, while they just kept calm. Making me swallow hard as I repeated my question.
"Son the big party is going on inside and you are here why?" Mum asked me, making my frown deepen, as I quickly screamed at them to leave here now.
But I try to stop myself from screaming and continue trying to hold myself back.
"Come on brother, have you forgotten that you have a big shot deal tonight?" Valarie reminded me, making me decide Within me that I was time to talk.
"Well there will be no business deal anymore with any big shot," I said, as they both stared at me with a questioning gaze.
"Why?" They inquired, while I just stared from one to the other knowing fully well that what I was about to say would really be so shocking to them, as I cleared my throat.
"Well the big shot is actually no one else but Ariana," I voiced out, making they look at me.
"Which Ariana are you talking about?" Mum asked me, making me smile.
"Ariana my ex-wife," I responded to her, making her gasp.
"What!" Valarie exclaimed, widened her eyes in disbelief.
"No this can't be, how will it even be possible?" mum asked, as she couldn't still bring herself to believe what I had just said.
"Mum you have to believe it, because that's actually the truth," I told her, making him open her mouth so wide.
"Oh no, this isn't good at all," mum lamented, while I just sigh softly.
"Yes mum it isn't good at all," I repeated after her.
"Why don't you talk to Dylan to see if he could help you convince her to do business with you," Valarie suggested, making me sigh softly.
"She looked upset when she saw me, and Dylan already made it clear to me that since I have a bad relationship with her then she won't be doing anything business with me," I responded to her, while they all took a deep breath.
"Oh my goodness this isn't good at all," Valarie sighed.
"So what do we do now?" Mum asked me, making me sighed softly, as I kept calm for a while thinking about what I could do to make Ariana want to do business with me.
Ariana was actually a heiress all this while, but I never knew, but how and why did she decide to hide it away from me? This question popped into my head, as I continue trying to get a solution to my problem.
"I think we should all go and apologise to her, and plead for her forgiveness, because we have really wronged her," I suggested, making them sighed softly, as they looked up at me.
"Do you think she would be willing to forgive us?" Valarie asked me, making me sighed softly.
"We have really done so many terrible things to her, when you got married to her," mum said, while I just took a deep breath.
"I really don't know if she would be willing to forgive us, but there is no harm in trying, so let's just give it a trial," I suggested, making them sighed.
"Okay then what are we waiting for," Mum said, while I turned to Valarie who was still thinking.
"Valarie let's get going," I tapped her gently, as she looked up at me, making me realise she was in tears.
"I did so many terrible things to her, and I don't think she could forgive me so easily," Valarie cried, while I swallowed hard, realising she might be right.
"Ariana is a nice person, maybe she might forgive us, let's just give it a trial first," mum said, making me sigh softly, as I turned to Valarie who was now wiping her tears.
Without any hesitation we all made our way back into the party, and started searching for Ariana. We couldn't find her anywhere, making me sighed softly as I made my way to Dylan.
"Where is Ariana, I have been searching for her for quite a while now," I told him, while he sighed softly, and looked up at me.
"Why are you searching for her?" He asked me, making me swallow the leap in my throat.
"I wanted to talk to her about the little difference we have, and also try to settle it." I told him truthfully, while he sighs.
"Hmm," he exhaled, and stared at me for a while.
"Please just tell us where she is, we really need to see her, it's really important we meet her," mum spoke from behind me.
"Okay, but you would have to wait for sometime before you can see her, because she is having a meeting with her parents right now," Dylan said, making me sighed softly realising that was the reason she wasn't around here.
"Oh okay then, we will wait for her just as you have said," mum said, while Dylan just sighed and excused himself.
I really couldn't help but feel so bad all over again. I have really hurt her so much, and I didn't know how to start pleading with her at the moment, but I'm going to drop my ego today and do the right thing.
She deserves an apology for all the wrong we have done to her. I thought within myself, as I hoped she would show up soon.
"Why don't you come and have a drink with me as you are waiting for her to come back from her meeting with her parents," Dylan Suggested snapping me out of my thoughts, as I turned to him, realising he was back behind me.
"Okay, I think I like that idea," I said, and he smiled.
"So shall we," he said with a smile plastered on his face.
"Yes of course," I responded while walking behind him, as he finally took me to a table.
We had our seats as he turned to me. "What drink do you want?" He asked me, making me keep calm for a while.
"Champagne will be just fine," I told him, while he smiled immediately.
"I was hoping you would say that, because that's exactly what I wanted to have as well," he said, and quickly brought the bottle of champagne closer to himself.
