Mia's POV:
I narrowed my eyes at the three of them as they watched me approach. Their eyes followed my movements as I walked toward the dining table.
Silence cut through the air as I sat next to Liam. He was the youngest of the triplets, and he hummed, watching me like a hawk.
Feeling uncomfortable because Liam smelled like coffee, I rose from the chair and went to sit far away from them. Their eyes continued to watch me, but I did not comment or ask them anything.
As the sound of the kitchen door opening echoed, my mother walked out and smiled at them. "I will serve the dinner now. Actually, my maid isn't around because I sent her to welcome her daughter's baby. I will be back," Mom said with an apologetic tone as she came out of the kitchen to see if we were getting along.
"It's okay, Chairwoman. Let's have dinner. As my dad will soon be here, or we can wait for him," Luis said, the second triplet, chiming in with his deep voice that made my thighs clench, and my mother smiled. "Alright."
Unlike Leon's voice, Luis's voice was sharp, deeper, and magnetic, which made me uncomfortable as his face showed no smile at all. His eyes were calculated and sinister.
"Let me get the dinner ready. You all can chat with Mia to enlighten her more about our pack. I will be back," Mom said, her tone mild as her lips curled into a smile. Her eyes peered at me and signaled me to get along. Just as she swiftly strode to the kitchen door and left me with the three bad boys.
"Mia, what a beautiful name for a beautiful bunny," Liam spoke first, his voice filled with teasing as he looked at my face.
"I know you three are bullies, but my mother will never marry your father. So, you better get that into your damn skulls," I replied coldly, my voice harsh, but I didn't care. I had thought about it, but I could not live with them.
"Hmm," Leon rose to his feet and came to my chair to meet me. I tensed in my seat as he leaned next to my neck, his cool breath brushing the crook of my neck.
"How about?" Leon began, whispering into my right ear, and I shivered. "How about I tell you that we want to marry you instead of your mother?"
"What?" I jumped away from the chair as if my whole body was on fire, my cheeks burning hot as I glared at Leon. He was the oldest of the triplets. 'He must be joking, right?' I looked into his face and shifted away from the dining table as I glanced at the other two boys. Their faces were neutral, their eyes calm, so I couldn't tell if they were annoyed or thinking the same as Leon.
"Stay away from me, you ásshole!" I yelled at Leon, glaring at him, as I couldn't believe he was proposing to marry me. These three men had many young women in the academy ready to serve them, but not me. I wanted to create an advocate for women to learn to stand up for their rights. They could not be subjected to slavery and worshipping men for their dîcks.
Leon smiled and went back to his seat. "I am just kidding, haha," he laughed handsomely, surrendering his hands in the air. But my brows furrowed at him. My heart was beating erratically, and I warned him with a stern voice, "Do not come close to me again!"
Luis and Liam were quiet as they watched me, but I felt their eyes digging into me. I felt my legs quiver, and my entire body was still hot due to Leon's closeness to me before.
As I wanted to disappear from the dining room, my mother stepped out of the kitchen, carrying a tray of dinner in her arms. She looked at us in surprise, seeing me standing, and she asked, "Mia, is anything wrong?"
Leon had already sat back, and before I could say a word, the doorbell rang. My mother rushed ahead to the dining table, dropping the big white tray of food in her arms on the dining table.
"Mia, hurry up. Check who is at the door. I am sure Alpha David Oscar has arrived," Mom said, her face excited. Seeing my mother's happy face, I frowned and glared at the three boys who were looking at me. I forced my feet to move and went to pull the living room door open.
To my shock, an older version of Liam, Luis, and Leon stood at the door and smiled at me. "Hi. You must be Mia, right?" he asked, seeing my shocked face. He smiled as I made way for him to enter the living room. He wore a black suit and looked breathtakingly handsome.
"Good evening, sir. I am," I smiled at him, accepting his handshake as he walked in. He was a middle-aged man, but he seemed more polite and humble than his three sons.
"It's nice to meet you, Mia. You look so beautiful like your mother," he praised me, shaking my right hand, and I blushed. "Thank you, sir," I replied, and my mother walked up to the living room to welcome him.
"Welcome, babe," Mom said as she hugged Alpha David Oscar. I stole a quick glance at the Triple L's faces to see their reaction upon seeing their father hugging my mother and kissing her lightly on her forehead.
Except for Leon, Luis and Liam frowned to show they didn't approve of my mother as their stepmother. But seeing me smirking at them, they smiled at me for the first time, and my heart exploded, throbbing faster. I quickly glanced away.
"Come on, Mia. Let's have our seats while I set up the meals," Mom said, her voice soft as she gestured for us to have our seats at the dining chairs while she served the table.
Leon sat across from me, while his father and my mother sat next to each other. However, Luis and Liam sat to my right as the dining table had six chairs. This was the first time that the dining room was full. Before, it was just me and my mother.
Mom served the delicious meals of fried rice and chicken before she went to serve us drinks and sat back next to Alpha David.
"How do you like the meals, Triple L?" Mom asked them when Leon took the first bite, holding his spoon. Luis and Liam were quiet and holding their spoons too.
Luis was in the middle of me and Liam as he sat across from his father, while my mother sat across from Liam.
But Leon caressed my left leg under the table, and I glared at him, shifting my leg back under my chair. Leon smiled and said, "It's delicious, Ma."
"How about you both? You haven't tasted the meal?" Mom asked, her voice full of concern as her eyes darted to look at Luis and Liam, who sat next to me.
"You seem to care more about the boys than me, babe," Alpha David complained with a sweet voice as he looked at my mother's face lovingly.
Mom blushed and said, "I know you will not tell me the truth about my food. You will always speak good of me. I personally prepared this fried rice and chicken, and I wanted to see how your sons like it."
Mom shifted her gaze to us and peered at Luis, who sat next to me. Luis had the same coffee smell as his brothers. He dipped his spoon into the fried rice on his plate and took a bite, the same as Liam, as I watched their faces.
"It's nice, Chairwoman," Luis said, and their father scowled. "Luis, haven't I warned you three to learn to call Lucy, Mom? She will be your new stepmother, and it's only respectful to call her Mom," Alpha David snapped, his voice thunderous, and I peered at him in shock.
Mom quickly placed her right hand on Alpha David's left hand to calm him down as she said, "It's okay, babe. I am not upset that they call me Chairwoman. That's what I am in the Academy."
Alpha David scowled and looked at my mother's face. His voice softened as he said, "I want you to be my wife. I know the three of them are stubborn. I can send them away, but I want to marry you. It's been 22 years since Esther left me. Don't you think I tried and deserved to be happy?"
Mom smiled sadly and replied, "You tried, but our children are a part of us. If they do not approve of us, we cannot force it."
"Mm," Alpha David's fist clenched around the spoon. And Mom whispered in his right ear so closely, "We will still be friends and give them time to get along."
"No. They are naughty boys, and I cannot give them any time. Do not worry about them. Once they find their mates, they will leave us. I already made up my mind for us to live together, Lucy. I love you very much, and I want you by my side, and as my Luna," Alpha David insisted, holding my mother's hands lovingly.
I peered at Leon's face to see his expression regarding his father's statement. Leon frowned and looked at me.
As our gaze locked, I smirked, and his eyes narrowed. Looking at his father and my mother holding hands, Leon cleared his throat and said, "Dad, we approve of you and Lady Lucy to get married."
"What!" I gasped, alongside Liam and Luis.
Mia's POV:
Leon, his father, and my mother looked at me, Luis, and Liam after we gasped.
"Mia, I know you might be afraid of the triplets, but they will treat you nicely," Mom said, holding hands with Alpha David.
Luis and Liam stood up, abandoning their meals as they said, "Excuse us, Dad. We would like to have a word with Leon."
Their father scowled and said, "Finish your meals first before you go out for any conversation. You heard my love say that she put in much effort to prepare the meal. So, sit back and finish it first."
Luis and Liam frowned and sat back, their expressions frosty, and my mother looked at them with concern.
"It's okay, babe. You can allow the boys to chat," Mom said with a soft voice, but Alpha David shook his head in rejection.
"No, my love. I know these two rascals better than you do. They want to confuse Leon so he won't accept you as his stepmother," Alpha David said, his eyes glaring at Liam and Luis.
"What?! Hahaha!" Mom laughed, and I smiled, understanding that Alpha David knew what his sons were up to.
"Fine, Dad. We'll finish the food before going out to discuss," Luis said, before sitting back in his chair next to me. I tensed as Luis extended his left hand and pinched my right thigh.
"Ouch!" I groaned, and everyone at the table looked at my face in concern, except for Luis.
"What's the matter, Mia?" Mom asked worriedly. She hastily stood up and rushed over to me, as if she was scared something had happened to me.
"Mom, Luis pinched me just now!" I pointed at Luis, who acted indifferently, and his father frowned.
"Is that true, Luis?" Alpha David asked, and Luis said, "She was rejoicing at us, and I only punished her."
"Apologize," Alpha David insisted with a stern voice, and Luis frowned.
"Father..." Luis wanted to refute.
"Now!" Alpha David commanded, emitting a chilling aura, and Luis turned to face me. His eyes narrowed, and his thin lips mumbled, "I'm sorry, Mia. Happy now?"
"Yes," I purred, and my mother smiled and went to sit back beside Alpha David.
"The wedding will be held next Saturday. No more excuses, and the four of you will learn to get along," Alpha David stated, looking at me and his triplet sons. He gave no room for negotiation.
However, Mom looked at my face with concern, and I smiled.
"Don't worry, Mom. I accept the wedding. After all, the Triple L won't bully me again if Alpha David can protect me as my dad," I said, smiling, but the triplets frowned and looked away.
"You're right, Mia. If any of my sons offend you, you should report them to me, and I will have them punished. You are my daughter, and I will treat you with all the privilege of a princess. I know your father is still alive, but I'm not going to take his love from you. I will only fill his absence in your mother's life here in the White Hills Pack. Alright?" Alpha David said, peering at my face lovingly.
"Okay, Alpha. It's nice to have you as my new dad," I replied, and Leon kicked my left leg under the table. However, I didn't react to his kick. I smirked at him, knowing that they respected their father and wouldn't dare to hurt me.
After dinner ended, Alpha David stood up to use the restroom. "My love, come and show me to your room. I would love to spend the night here and use the bathroom," he spoke to my mother softly before shifting his gaze to Leon.
"Leon, once you're done, you three can go back home if you don't like it here. I had a hectic day in the office, and I cannot wait for you three to graduate so I can spend more time with my lover, Lucy," Alpha David said, kissing my mother's left cheek before she rose from her chair.
Mom blushed and looked at my face to see if I was worried.
"It's fine, Mom. I like Alpha David. He's so nice. I see why you like him; he's just like Dad," I said, and the mood in the living room shifted at the mention of my dad.
I know my father didn't remarry. He's just doing his research abroad and promising Mom he'll be back, but it's been a long time.
"Don't worry, Mia. I'm not going to take Rafael's place in your life, but I swore to treat your mother better," Alpha David declared with a calm voice, full of respect for my mother as he crossed his right arm over her shoulder.
"Alright, Alpha. Goodnight," I replied, and Alpha David smiled while my mother led him to the stairs as they ascended to the top floor. I was left in the dining room with the three bad boys.
"Mia, right? I see you're happy to have our father as your new stepdad?" Luis said after his father left with my mother as he marched toward me. I moved back to the wall and glared at him.
"If you dare come any closer to me, I will scream and report you to your father," I warned Luis, and he laughed while the others kept silent.
"Let her be, Luis. She doesn't know that she belongs to us. She is clueless," Leon chimed in, his gaze lowered as he sat back in his dining chair and brought out his phone, typing on it.
I looked at Leon's face in shock, wondering how I belonged to them.
"I cannot belong to you all. Get that mindset out of your damn brains. If you think that I will ever kneel, bow to you three bad boys, and worship your dîcks, only in your dreams!" I yelled, and they looked stunned, their yellow eyes peering into mine with a glint.
I marched up to the dining table to clear it as the three of them watched me quietly. They watched me gather the empty plates to take them to the kitchen.
"Mia, what if you end up doing that and not just kneeling and worshipping our dîcks, but sucking them with your mouth and taking it in your little cunt," Liam replied ruthlessly, and my body trembled with a jolt of current as my face turned red.
"Fụck you three! I will never do that! I will not be your woman. You are all my stepbrothers now. So, get those silly thoughts of me sleeping with you three, like those gullible girls at the Academy have done, out of your brains!" I yelled and cleared the table. However, my mother's concerned voice startled me as she appeared at the top of the stairs.
"Mia, what's wrong?" Mom asked from the balcony upstairs.
"Nothing, Mom," I replied, smiling at her. "We're just discussing Academy stuff."
"Alright. Just keep your voice down and show Triple L to the guest rooms if they want to sleep here tonight. Goodnight, boys, and don't do anything silly to your little sister. She can be mean, but trust me, Mia is a sweet girl," Mom said, smiling at us, and the Triple L looked at me.
"It's okay, Chairwoman. We'll take care of Mia and not trouble her," Leon replied, while Mom smiled and wished us goodnight.
"Be a good girl, Mia, and return to your room after showing them to the guest room. Okay?"
"Okay, Mom," I forced a tight smile as my mother went to her room. I then cleared the plates to the kitchen and washed them, trying to waste time and avoid any conversation with the boys. However, I could hear their magnetic voices in the dining room.
"She's our mate, Leon. How can you accept our father marrying her mom? Dad will not approve of us being with her when the time comes," Luis said, his voice filled with anger.
"The earlier we break up Dad from marrying her mother, the sooner we have her as our mate and mark her," Luis added with a sharp voice, making me shiver in the kitchen.
*What do they mean by making me their mate, marking me? And how do I belong to them?*
I craned my ear further and heard Liam's response, "Luis is right, big brother. We cannot accept Mia as our stepsister. She has to bear our pups. She knows nothing about our kind, and the earliest we stop that wedding, the sooner we have her under us."
The sponge fell from my hands as I staggered back, trying to understand what Liam and Luis meant by having me under them.
"No way! They cannot be thinking of sleeping with me, right?" I muttered, feeling my legs tremble at the thought of it.
I covered my mouth and waited to hear Leon's response, and he said, "She's listening to us because I can hear her increased heartbeat. She doesn't like us, and we have to start by making her fall in love with us. That way, we can get her not to reject us and to bear our pups."
"No way! I will never be your slaves nor bear your pups. Got it!" I rushed out of the kitchen after yelling at them in the dining room. They frowned, but Leon smiled at me and said, "We're not in a hurry, Mia. When you turn 18, you'll be the one to beg for our cóck. Show us to the guest room, little sister."
Mia's POV:
My cheeks flushed at the mention of begging for their cócks. "There's no way I would do that," I replied to Leon coldly, since he was the oldest of the triplets.
"Only in your dreams will you see me do such a thing. I will never beg any of you bullies!" I retorted, and they came to meet me, surrounding me with their tall, masculine frames.
"We'll be patient, Mia," Leon said, drawing his face closer to mine.
"What's going on here, boys?" Alpha David appeared at the top of the staircase balcony and saw his three sons surrounding me like predators, making me feel hot.
"Nothing, Dad. We're only trying to get along with our little sis," Leon replied as he swiftly hugged me, placing his right arm over my shoulder, and I froze.
"Isn't that right, little sis?" Leon asked, leaning closer to my left ear, an inch away from my red face.
I knew this was my chance to tell Alpha David the truth, but how could I be the one to say something that might disappoint my mother?
"Yes, Alpha. I'm only giving them my warning if they want to be my stepbrothers," I replied, my thighs clenching at the intense arousal I felt from Leon's right hand on my shoulder.
I looked at Alpha David's face, which was filled with suspicion, and it relaxed.
"Alright, Mia. If you have any complaints about my sons, you should report to me. Okay?" His eyes softened with concern.
"Okay, Alpha. Goodnight," I replied, subtly pushing Leon's hand from my shoulder. His father turned and went back into the room on the top floor to meet my mother.
After Alpha David walked away to meet my mother, I glared at Leon and warned him with a stern voice, "Don't ever put your hands on me again."
I ran back into the kitchen, as I couldn't stand to be around them. My heart was racing faster, beads of sweat beaded on my forehead, and I was so uncomfortable.
"Calm down, Mia," a feminine voice whispered to me, and I shrieked and turned around in the kitchen, hoping to see who it was, but there was no one behind me. It was just me in the kitchen.
"Who spoke to me just now?" I demanded, my voice trembling, and Leon entered the kitchen. His yellow eyes watched me as he said, "It seems like our little sister just found her wolf."
"What? Wolf?" I trembled as the word sank in.
"Get out of here! I am not a wolf," I shrieked aloud, recalling that my mother had told me I was a werewolf. The thought of transforming into a wolf sent chills down my spine.
"Relax, Mia. I'm sure you'll be a white wolf, given your fair complexion," Leon said, taunting me further and drawing near to me in the kitchen, but I moved back.
"Tell me you're joking and that my mother was only joking, too," I demanded from Leon.
"There's no such thing as werewolves, right? They don't exist, right?" I asked Leon, seeing Luis and Liam standing by the kitchen door and looking at my face with concern.
Luis smiled and said, "Seems like we need to give her a show, brothers. Should I shape shift? What do you think?"
"No, Luis. Don't shift," Liam snapped, but I looked at all three of them confusedly.
My head was spinning with the newfound revelation that I had a wolf. I couldn't believe that I was truly a werewolf.
It all felt like a lie, a dream, but it was my reality, and there was a lot about myself that I did not know. But my mother's voice cut through the air as she appeared at the kitchen door and rushed over to meet me.
"What's going on here, Mia? Are you alright? I heard your voice from the top floor. What's going on? Why are you boys in the kitchen with my daughter?" Mom asked them, glaring at the triplets as she automatically became protective of me. She assumed they had bullied me.
"Chairwoman, we're only trying to make your daughter feel comfortable. She screamed just now, and we sensed that maybe she had found her wolf," Leon said, his deep voice calm and making me shudder in my mother's embrace.
"Mia, have you found your wolf? Is that true?" Mom asked, peering at my face.
"I don't know," I shook my head, tears brimming in my eyes.
"Well, you three shouldn't scare my daughter about wolves. Mia doesn't know much about our kind, and I don't think she has found her wolf yet. Are you alright, Mia? Did you hear any voice talk to you?" Mom asked again, and I nodded.
"Yes, Mom, I did. She told me to relax, and there was no one here with me in the kitchen before Leon came in," I replied, looking at my mother's face and waiting to hear her opinion.
Mom's eyes widened as she looked at me. "Really? Then that means you have found your wolf. I am so happy for you," she hugged me tightly, making my head spin even more.
"Mom, am I really a werewolf? Tell me you're joking," I asked, tears flowing down my cheeks, but my mother shook her head.
"It's the truth, Mia. You are a werewolf like me. Most of us here are werewolves. We just live like humans. We have different breeds of wolves, and once you turn 18 years old, you will meet your mate, your boyfriend who will marry you," she said with joy, and my face flushed red at the thought of finding my mate. However, I glanced at the Triple L. Their faces peered at mine with a smile.
"Chairwoman, can you come and show us to the guest room? We see that Mia is having a hard time now, and we need somewhere to relax for tonight. Or should we leave?" Leon asked, his eyes watching my expression curiously as he spoke with my mother.
Mom looked at my face and asked, "Mia, do you want them to stay? Or should they leave our house? They are your seniors at the academy, and they can guide you about werewolves and all that you need to know about yourself."
"No, Mom. I don't feel comfortable around them. Since you are not yet married to their father, it's best they stay away from me until after the wedding. Then I will know they are my stepbrothers, and they will not try anything funny with me," I said, my voice lacking warmth and not wanting to state the underlying meaning.
However, Mom frowned as she understood my point. She asked me sternly, "Mia, did they try to touch you inappropriately?"
"No, Mom, it's just that I still find it hard to get along with them. I will need time to process this," I said quickly, to clear any doubt my mother had about them. I didn't want to trouble her with what I had heard Leon and his brothers saying about making me their mate. Their eyes looked at mine angrily, as they didn't like what I said.
"It's fine, Chairwoman. We'll take our leave, since Mia doesn't want us here. And you have nothing to worry about. We'll treat Mia only as our stepsister and not do anything wrong to her. Goodnight, Ma'am," Leon said, his tone laced with bitterness as he turned and left the kitchen first, followed by his two brothers.
I frowned, but I didn't know why I felt this deep ache in my heart. My chest hurt, watching them leave the kitchen. I should have been happy, but I was sad.
The sound of their cars starting in the garage caught my attention, and my mother hugged me to her chest.
"It's okay, Mia. You'll be fine," Mom whispered to me, and I nodded. "Mom, did I do anything wrong to offend them? Why do I feel unhappy that they left our house?" I asked her, tears welling up in my blue eyes.
Mom looked at my face as she was still hugging me closely. "It's fine. Come to the living room; let me talk to you about our kind and show you some photos. That will make you feel comfortable, alright? Come," she held my left hand and led me out of the kitchen to the living room to sit on one of the black couches.
The living room was furnished with seven black couches, a flat-screen television, and a home theater system.
"I'll be back. Let me go upstairs and get the photo album to show you," Mom said with a soft voice as she swiftly went upstairs to her room.
