Love You For Ten Years, Forget You For A Second Chapter 1

I rushed to him in a frenzy, only to find him tightly holding a woman in his arms.

My heart was broken at that moment.

But he didn't know that I was dying.

I suffered from terminal uterine cancer.

With six months left, I planned to leave quietly alone.

But the moment he received the critical illness notice, he got worried.

"Faster, faster!"

The doctor pushed the stretcher hurriedly.

I lay in bed, my cold sweat drenched the blue sheets, unable to vocalize my agony.

Jeffrey also pushed the stretcher but didn't even look at me.

He kept staring at his mobile phone screen and frowned.

I clutched his sleeves, and his eyes glanced at me lightly but did not stay for too long.

It was as if his eyes had never been on me.

The moment I was pushed into the delivery room, I saw him running in the opposite direction from me.

The process of giving birth was much more difficult than expected. A warm current seemed to surge out from under my body, and I heard the nurse scream.

Pain gnawed at my core, tormenting my mind.

I clenched my teeth and gradually lost strength. My mind became confused.

The doctor seemed to say something in my ear.

All I could hear was a buzzing sound.

Jeffrey's cold, irritated, angry face flashed in my mind, devoid of joy.

Even when he learned of my pregnancy, his response was indifferent, absent that night.

Despite his stature in the entertainment industry, he must maintain the facade of a loving husband in public.

I had a difficult labor, and the doctor walked out with heavy steps.

I regained some consciousness and looked outside immediately.

Through the glass door, I vaguely heard Jeffrey talking on the phone. His voice was anxious, "Isabel, where are you? I'm worried about you."

The doctor said, "Mr. Fuller, your wife is weak and has no strength left due to the pain. I recommend a painless injection."

For the first time, Jeffrey didn't hide his true self in front of outsiders.

He waved his hands irritably and covered the speaker, "It's just giving birth to a child. How can she be so fragile?"

His icy words pierced like a blade through my heart.

I was in complete despair.

After five years of companionship and ten years of knowing each other, he still didn't love me.

I hoped our child would symbolize our love, not expecting it to be the end of our marriage.

After speaking, he resumed his call and walked away.

I stared at him intently.

An intense wave of pain hit me, darkness enveloped my vision, and I fainted.

Upon waking, I faced the white ceiling.

It was just like my paled face.

In a panic, I touched my flat stomach.

It was empty.

The nurse approached and her expression was solemn, "Ms. Walsh, the baby has been aborted."

Boom!

My mind snapped, tears cascading down and splattering on the ground.

"You..." The nurse tried to speak, but I had already tuned out, stumbling out of the room.

The child was gone. Where was Jeffrey?

I ran to the hospital corner and recognized his tall, slender figure.

I opened my mouth and was about to speak.

The man's voice, filled with pity, unexpectedly reached my ears.

"Isabel, he's not worth your sadness. Why do you grieve for him like this?"

I stood frozen in place.

He never showed me such a gentle voice.

Isabel wiped her tears like a withered flower in the wind. Although not stunning, it could evoke a man's protective instinct.

She said, "I'm in a mess now. Jeff, I have no other choice. I don't know who to talk to about this."

Jeffrey stretched out his slender fingers, gently wiped away her eyes, and wrapped her hands tightly.

"I understand. I'll always be here for you if you need me."

I listened to his words and unconsciously sneered.

I attempted to brush away the tears, but they had already overflowed.

A sharp ache pierced my heart.

In my deepest despair, all I craved was his presence by my side.

Isabel slowly withdrew her hand, tears falling again, whispering, "But Jeff, you have a wife. Anna needs you. I'll manage on my own."

Jeffrey frowned slightly as he embraced her tightly, "As long as you desire me, no one can keep us apart."

I looked at this pair of lovers, and a bitter smile crept onto my face.

Little did I know that I was the villain hindering their love.

I was so sad that I couldn't even cry.

I turned around, each step laden with excruciating pain.
