Chapter 3

"Did he say he's my boyfriend? But my boyfriend is Raleigh!" I tightly held my mom's hand, with a determined look.

Upon hearing this, my parents' expressions froze for a moment.

They took out their phones and proceeded to show me the photos one at a time, asking for my input. It became evident that I had simply forgotten about Justin and only recognized Raleigh.

Justin, however, didn't seem to care at all. On the day I was discharged from the hospital, he went to invite Jasmine to dinner.

He repeatedly asked Jasmine out, and she finally agreed to go out with him this time. Without any hesitation, he immediately drove to pick her up. His luxurious car attracted a lot of attention at Jasmine's school.

Upon getting into the car, Jasmine cast a brief glance at Justin, maintaining her pure and angelic demeanor. She then softly asked, "Is your girlfriend alright?"

"What could happen to her? She's lucky to be alive," Justin replied, with a hint of flattery.

During the whole afternoon, Justin took Jasmine to several luxury stores and spent hundreds of thousands. Finally, he took her to the most expensive restaurant for a candlelit dinner.

However, when Justin dropped her off at the school gate, she refused the luxury goods he offered.

Justin couldn't resist being drawn to this type of girl; his emotions lingered, and he felt the passion reigniting. Later that evening, he took his friends to the bar to celebrate.

Someone congratulated him and wished him to win over Jasmine soon.

However, his good friend, Jackson Daves, frowned.

"Justin, aren't you about to marry Stella? Isn't this unfair to her? Moreover, she had just been discharged from the hospital. Shouldn't you be accompanying her?" Jackson reminded.

Upon hearing this, Justin raised his eyebrows lightly, chuckled, and said indifferently, "When else should a guy have some fun if not before marriage? Besides, I've been restraining myself for three years. It's not often I can find someone so compatible. So, let me enjoy this, alright?"

His tone was very casual.

The few people present laughed when they heard this, all very much in agreement.

"Aren’t you afraid that Stella might really forget about you?" Jackson frowned.

Justin had just picked up the wine glass and brought it to his lips. Upon hearing this, his expression slightly stiffened for a moment, then he sneered.

“Forget about me? Haven't you seen how she clung to me before? Would she dare to forget me? But even if she does, so what? I've long been tired of her acting like a bitch.”

During the exchange, Jackson looked anxious and pulled Justin a few times.

However, Justin shook off his hand and finally blurted out what he had been holding in for so long.

"That fake air of superiority from Stella, it's incomparable to Jasmine!" Justin said, his tone mocking and disdainful.

Jackson nodded towards someone behind Justin and quietly reminded him, "Stella."

Justin's expression froze abruptly, and he quickly turned his head to see me standing behind him.

He was so startled that his voice trembled.

"Stella, you, you just got discharged today, right? Why, why are you here at the bar?"

He abandoned his drink and walked towards me, forcing a somewhat strained smile.

I looked at him with indifferent eyes, unmoved by his words.

Justin was momentarily stunned by my calm and composed gaze.

If it were before, upon hearing his words, I would have definitely had a big argument with him and even stormed out of the bar.

However, this time, I didn't cry or make a scene. I simply looked at him as if he were a stranger.

"Stella?" he called out to me again.

I glanced in his direction, a faint smile forming on my lips, while my eyes sparkled.

Seeing that I wasn't angry, Justin approached me.

However, I bypassed him and went straight to the man in the black suit. I opened my arms and hugged him tightly, shouting with a big smile, "Raleigh, I missed you so much!"

Chapter 4

Raleigh exuded a faint scent of men's cologne mixed with alcohol, and as soon as I approached, I could smell it.

I wrapped my arms tightly around his slender waist, my gaze grazing over his sexy Adam's apple. I met his deep and mysterious eyes and called out, "Raleigh."

My voice was as sweet as honey.

The man glanced at me, his pupils contracting slightly, a hint of hesitation flickering in his eyes.

"Let go!” Justin, his eyes red with anger, rushed over and forcibly dragged me away from Raleigh. He insulted me, "Stella! Have you got no shame? You already have a boyfriend, yet you're still flirting with other men!"

I was frightened by his rude and unreasonable behavior, so I shook off his hand and hid behind Raleigh.

"Raleigh, this man is crazy. He's been following me for a long time, and I'm scared."

I lightly tugged at Raleigh's suit hem, my face showing absolute fear, and my voice trembling.

As soon as Justin heard the word 'crazy,' he erupted.

In front of the entire bar, Justin pointed at me and shouted, "Stella, are you done pretending? I only pushed you into the sea, and you're perfectly fine. Yet, you're pretending to have amnesia?! Raleigh isn't your boyfriend! I am!"

The people in the bar immediately started talking after hearing this.

After the incident, the entire River City was aware that I had forgotten that the Prince Charming from River City was my boyfriend.

Not long ago, Justin proposed to me live on a broadcast.

Therefore, no one expected this to happen.

"You're talking nonsense! Raleigh is my boyfriend!" I firmly grasped Raleigh's sleeve, my gaze determined, showing no signs of hesitation or lies.

Raleigh's eyes flickered slightly at my words. He glanced at me, taking a moment to assess, his gaze dark and devoid of emotion.

Seeing us locking eyes, Justin became jealous and rushed over to pull me away. However, I held onto Raleigh tightly, crying out, "Save me, Raleigh! I don't want to go with this madman."

Hearing this, Justin was furious and slapped me directly across the face.

My face burned, and I stood there in shock.

"Stella, you've crossed the line!" Justin continued to scold me angrily.

My expression turned cold, and I exerted all my strength to slap him back.

"You’re just a fake! How dare you hit me?!" I was furious. It was the first time someone had ever hit me.

Justin still wanted to lay hands on me, but Raleigh grabbed my hand and pulled me into his arms. He lifted his foot and kicked Justin to the ground, his gaze cold as he said, "What kind of man are you to lay hands on a woman?"

After speaking, Raleigh grabbed my hand and left the bar.

Justin wanted to chase after us, but Jackson stopped him and pulled him back onto the sofa.

"Don't stop me! I'm going to teach that bastard Raleigh a lesson!" Justin was furious, his neck veins bulging.

He had never been so humiliated, especially in front of so many people.

Before this, he was the undisputed prince of the River City!

"Justin, that's enough," Jackson said.

Justin turned to him, frowning. "You're my friend. Are you taking Raleigh's side too?"

"Of course, I'm on your side. But can't you go easy on Stella? After all, she's your girlfriend, and she just got out of the hospital. She can't handle this kind of stress," Jackson advised, lowering his voice.

"This bitch is going to sleep with Raleigh! You want me to just sit back and watch?" Justin couldn't contain his anger.

Jackson's expression turned cold upon hearing this.

“You have the nerve to judge Stella? Aren't you behaving even worse than her?!" Jackson couldn't bear to watch any longer, frowning deeply.

Chapter 5

With a loud bang, Justin picked up a bottle and smashed it directly on Jackson's head, causing blood to gush out instantly.

"How can you compare me to Stella? She's a woman, and I'm a man!" Justin justified himself arrogantly.

Jackson, holding his injured forehead, glanced at him with disappointment, saying, "I don’t have a friend like you."

With that, Jackson left the bar without looking back.

Justin showed no concern as he carried on drinking with the others, enjoying the luxury and extravagance.

Losing a friend didn't appear to bother him.

The following day, the sun shone just as brightly.

Justin woke up and immediately went to see Jasmine, bringing along the luxury items he had bought previously.

The girl remained aloof, but her eyes still appeared pure and bright.

Her gaze was cold and indifferent as she looked at the hot coffee on Justin's left hand and the luxury items on his other hand. She received the hot coffee from Justin.

The coffee was still hot, instantly warming her palms against the chilly morning breeze.

Justin was extremely attentive.

"Why are you here so early in the morning?"

Jasmine's face still lacked a smile, but her eyes softened noticeably.

"Jasmine, this is for you." Justin handed the luxury items to Jasmine with a smile.

Upon seeing the luxury items, Jasmine immediately furrowed her brows, her expression serious. "Do you really think a few bags and clothes can buy me over? What do you take me for, Justin?!"

Jasmine took two steps back.

"Of course not, Jasmine. I know you don't care about these things, but I just wanted to get you something. I just want to see you happy," Justin pleaded hurriedly.

He persuaded and convinced Jasmine to accept the gift after calming her down.

Then, they promised to have dinner together another time before Justin drove to the Wright family's house.

"Mr. and Mrs Wright, what are you saying? Stella didn't come back all night?!"

Justin looked at Stella's parents in front of him, barely holding back from cursing out loud.

"Justin, now that Stella doesn't remember you, you should be more understanding," both of them said, their faces filled with guilt.

"Mrs Wright, please call Stella!" Justin suppressed his anger and demanded.

The phone call was made.

Justin got the address from Stella's mom. It was a room in a five-star hotel.

Furious, he got into his car and drove straight to the hotel.

Upon arriving at the hotel room door, Justin went mad, banging on the door as if he were insane, startling the surrounding guests.

"Sir, please calm down. If you continue like this, I'll have to call security," the lobby manager reminded him.

Justin punched the door, directing his anger at the lobby manager, shouting furiously, "My girlfriend slept with another man! How can I calm down?"

After scolding the lobby manager, Justin turned his fury towards me inside the room.

"Stella! You shameless bitch! Are you hiding someone inside? Did you sleep with that bastard Raleigh?!" Justin was on the verge of losing his mind.

He had been with his girlfriend for three years, yet he had never once slept with her, only for her to sleep with another man!

He wanted to kill them both!

Justin, who was waiting for someone to open the door, found himself faced with the arrival of the police instead.

I only dared to open the door when the police arrived. Seeing Justin, who was going crazy and showing violence, I hid behind the police and pointed at him, saying, "This man is crazy. I don't know him, but he harasses me every day!"

Justin, hearing this, completely lost his temper.

His eyes were bloodshot as he forcefully pushed aside the police blocking his path and rushed into the room, appearing ready to kill.

"That bastard Raleigh must be in here!"
