Chapter 4

The next morning, before sunrise, Liam and Jovia came to my hospital room.

I was pleased to see the dark circles under their eyes.

“Aunt Jovia, Uncle Liam, good morning! Have you had breakfast yet?” I asked sweetly. “Hmm? Isn’t Moon coming?”

“There are no cameras here! Why are you still pretending?!” Jovia snapped. She tossed her bag at my legs, which could not feel anything anymore, on purpose.

Liam cleared his throat behind her to signal her to calm down.

Jovia snorted and turned away.

Liam changed his attitude. He came to my bed with a fake smile. “Moon went to get breakfast. Well, Stella, Jovia and I talked. You lost your legs saving Tommy, and because of that, Tommy can’t just ignore you.

“We spent the whole night talking to Moon and Tommy. Moon agreed that Tommy will marry you, but the wedding arrangements with the Sullivan family are already set, so we can’t change that. We’ll just switch you in. Everything else will stay the same. How does that sound?”

I smirked inside at their half-hearted plan but acted happy on the outside. “Sounds great! I actually like the things Moon used. Even if it’s something small, like a trash bag, I’ll keep it safe.”

My strange answer made Liam’s lips twitch.

“Well, since you’re fine with it, go live and explain what happened yesterday. Our family has a reputation to maintain.”

Jovia then made it clear why they were there.

I blinked and stared at her innocently, but inside, I was thoroughly annoyed by her arrogant attitude.

“Also, the Sullivan family has a good reputation. Since you’re paralyzed now, try to avoid going to social events. Don’t embarrass their family or ours.

“Don’t come crying to us later!”

She was giving me orders, threatening me, and warning me!

She was trying to put me down with her arrogance again!

But I was not the same loser I was five years ago.

I stared at Jovia. “If you want me to clarify, fine. But I want to have a wedding with Tommy.”

Seeing their confused looks, I repeated firmly, “Didn’t you hear me? I want a wedding!”

“With your condition, how can you have a wedding—”

Just as they were about to keep trying to change my mind, Moon, who was supposed to be buying breakfast, walked in proudly.

“If she wants a wedding, let her have one.”

Moon had a mischievous grin. I looked at her in confusion.

Why had she suddenly changed her attitude?

Chapter 5

I watched Moon walk straight up to Jovia and whisper something in her ear.

After they finished talking, Jovia’s expression changed.

“You want a wedding? Fine. If you have any other requests, say them all now.”

Liam still did not understand what was happening. Jovia waved her hand to tell him to wait.

I could not figure out why they suddenly changed, but it did not matter. I just wanted to marry Tommy.

“My requests are simple. Just do everything the same way as Moon and Tommy’s wedding.

“The wedding dress, the rings, and the vows should be exactly like Moon’s.”

“Stella, don’t regret this later.” Moon crossed her arms with a sarcastic look.

I raised my head with a confident and firm look. “Don’t worry. I won’t regret it.”

Just like that, we came to an agreement.

Soon after I left the hospital, we started planning the wedding.

On the wedding day, I sat in the hotel’s makeup room. Moon was leaning against the wall with a gloating look.

“Stella, for such an unforgettable wedding, you better stay focused. This might be your last wedding ever.”

I calmly smoothed out my wedding dress and ignored Moon’s taunts.

“Moon, you’re right. I’ll treasure it because some people might never get to wear a wedding dress like this.”

I hit a sore spot. She snapped, “What’s so great about you, a cripple? Tommy told me that even if he marries you, he’ll never really love you! You saved his life, what of it? You’ll never have his heart!”

Seeing her upset, I clapped and sarcastically said, “Why would I care if he loves me or not? Can’t you see I’m not interested in him either? As long as he’s the one you like, that’s all that matters.”

Moon almost fainted from anger. She held her chest and was ready to come over and slap me.

Just then, we heard the host’s excited voice from outside. Moon angrily said, “Don’t celebrate too soon, Stella!”

With that, she was gone.

How ridiculous. How could I regret this?

Everything was going exactly as planned.

Chapter 6

The wedding was going on in full swing.

I could hear the excitement from outside. I waited for my moment to walk in as the bride.

But the doors to the ceremony hall never opened.

Instead, a few wedding staff lifted my wheelchair and quickly moved in the opposite direction.

Panicked, I said, “You’re going the wrong way!”

But they ignored me. That was when I realized something was wrong. I yelled, “What are you doing?! Did Moon send you?!”

I started to slap around and tried to stand up.

“Ugh! You steal your cousin’s boyfriend! You should just die! Stay in the dressing room until the wedding’s over!”

As they said that, they tied my hands and shoved me and my wheelchair into the dressing room.

“Kidnapping me is illegal, and I’m disabled! If something happens, can you handle the consequences? Let me out of here!” I shouted.

“Who are you trying to scare? Stay there!” They quickly left after that.

I sat in my wheelchair and felt defeated as I listened to the distant sound of the wedding march. So, this was their plan!

No wonder Moon suddenly changed her attitude in the hospital room. After all the years I had competed with her and taken so much from her, she finally became smart.

I just wondered if they had thought of my next step.

The wedding march ended. Before the host could even finish the blessing, the sound of screaming from the crowd drowned him out.

I smiled brightly and looked up at the harsh white lights above me.

I thought about my plan to get back at the White family. How far had it gone? What still needed to be done?

After a long while, the door to the dressing room opened.

“Excuse me, we’re the police. We’re investigating the group orgy incident that was exposed at Moon White’s wedding and need your cooperation.”

Looking at the officers in uniform, I finally dropped my pretense. I gave a bitter smile and said, “Alright, thank you, officer.”
