Chapter 3

Alyssa's POV

My face blushed. My emotions of discomfort and worry persisted over the course of the day, despite my best efforts to fight them off.

" Alyssa, that is too hard for you? Who would like to gave a child to a vegetative, that would be hard for her. besides, the academic pursuits would be hampered if she became pregnant at this time." Mark added.

"We really need to take time to think about it mom."

"Alyssa, are you open to the possibility that you and Caradoc could one day have a child of your own?" Laura asked me.

I bowed my head; it had all happened so quickly; I had just recently married into the Capell family on the first day, and by the second day, the baby was on the agenda; Caradoc had still not fully recovered. Yes, I fully anticipated that outcome.

"It is imperative that you be aware of the fact that in the future, the whole of Caradoc's riches will be divided between you and the kid." Laura said meaningfully.

"I'll do it." I replied without any hesitation.

I would have done all in my power to prevent Asdin from getting even a single penny from Caradoc.

Laura's grin reached all the way up to her ears. "Wow, it is unbelievable! What a satisfying daughter in law."

Mark 's gaze were like razors cutting me.

Laura kissed me on the cheek and said, "Go back and have a rest sweetie, the doctors will see you later."

I got myself together and went out of there. I heaved a sigh, and immediately after that, I started thinking about what would happen when I got back to the mansion.

Before I could go beyond the garden and out of the yard, I was halted by Asdin. Soaring birds could be heard in the distance, and the air was cool and crisp. I felt the gentle caress of the wind on every part of my body. Everything was OK except from Asdin.

As soon as I saw Asdin, I was overcome with an uneasy feeling at the very base of my stomach.

He didn't say anything but took a look at Mrs.Rondelle.

"Mrs. Rondelle, could you help me to find where the car locates first."

Mrs. Rondelle extended a courteous nod before departing.

After ensuring that no one else was around, Asdin let out a piercing scream. He grabbed my chin, revealing a painful expression.

"Alyssa, you have no clue how much pain you have caused me by your acts!"

"You wouldn't let me touch you once during our whole relationship, yet here you are planning to be pregnant with my brother Caradoc's baby," He said with pain. He had his arms around my neck and was trying to force a kiss over my face, but I protested so strongly that he eventually succeeded. My wrists were bound behind my back as I was shoved up against a large tree.

"Why did you suddenly change, and do you always act like you're pure when you're with me? Didn't you say you love me, why do you change your heart?"

As his lips clamped over my mouth, he inserted one finger into my pussy and raised my dress, but I trembled all over and bit his rough tongue.

"UGH! "

He wiped blood from his lips and relaxed his grip.

"I'll tell everyone in the family if you touch me again,"I warned him.

He was panting, staring at me with furious eyes.

As I thought about the words to insult him, I found that I couldn't help but giggle to myself.

Seeing me busting into laugh, Asdin was more anxious. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself down.

"There is one way that you may make up for what you owe to me. You may be pregnant with my child and pretend that he is Caradoc's, that's good for you, and not a bad idea. Prove me your love." he added.

My expression shifted abruptly. I put on a cool front but inside I was laughing at his disgrace.

"According to what I've heard, Caradoc is also a ganster head before he is a vegetative. Do you think his henchmen would let you go if they find out that I was carrying your kid? "

My words, which were like a rush of cold water to Asdin, caused him to become unsettled and rattled up.

"No, don't be so serious, I'm kidding! " He grinned.

"If Caradoc were to die away, you may be certain that I would care for his child just as if he were my own.He is my cousin, after all."

I chuckled sarcastically and said, "Well, you're such a good cousin.I'm leaving. Laura made the arrangements doctors to pay me a visit."

I did not bother to glance at his face since my feelings for him are nothing but contempt. Even though he had all of my affection when I was younger, he was the one who harmed me the most.

When I came back to Caradoc's home, there were already a female middle aged doctor there to check on me and see whether my health was suitable for the operation.

After a thorough examination, she escorted me to a sterile area for further cleaning.

She told me, as I lay on the chilly operating bed with my legs wide apart, that my eggs would be taken from me once they noticed that I was ovulating.

My heartbeat was quicker than it had been previously.

To help me relax, I took a long breath.

My voice shook as I questioned, "How long will it take?"

"It's hard to say." she said. "It might take as little as three months, There is also the chance that it may take forever."

I was speechless.

The air seemed to pause, she broke it by saying, "But don't worry, Mrs. Capell. Because you are still young, I have trust that everything will work out well. "

Chapter 4

Allysa's pov

Time flies. A few months had gone since I married to Caradoc.

I had been used to the life of talking to him while getting no response from him.

"Do you like children, Caradoc? I wish you would get out of bed, take my hand, and we could go to the beach. Under the warm sun and a gentle breeze from the ocean, we may dig for sand. You'll show our child how to write "dad" on the sand. when you do come awake, our new baby will bring you nothing but pleasure."

I slept with him by my side every day. I like to lean on him and spilled my beans to him.

The first signs of fall appeared in Philadelphia after a brief rain shower.

I submerged myself in the bath as usual.

I sat on the edge of the bed.

"Hey, Caradoc, do you want me to give you a massage?"

Pulling Caradoc's arm out from beneath the duvet, I gently massaged it as I drew nearer.

At that moment, he moved his finger.

Caradoc opened his eyes. His eyes, which were a deep amber hue, glinted like priceless stones despite their age.

I was taken aback by the glitter in his eyes, which caused my pulse rate to quicken and my chest to tighten. In spite of the fact that I saw Caradoc open his eyes on a daily basis, the act of his doing so never ceased to surprise me. My inhale became stiff and shallow.

"Does it hurt? Should I slow down or increase the pressure? "

"I'm sorry if it hurts, I assure you that I'm not using an excessive amount of force! "I continued to stroke his arm gently and then spoke to him.

"I had never seen any man more handsome than you, if you're awake, I might not be lucky to be your wife, sometimes I wish you to be awake, some times,"After massaging the lotion into Caradoc's skin, I used my hands to massage his limbs.

"I hope to just keep your side like this. At least you won't betray me, won't cheat me as Asdin does."

Because my contact was so light, he did not give me any form of reaction to indicate that he was aware of it.

The response from Caradoc, on the other hand, made me immediately open both of my eyes further. "Whooo."

I could make out the distinct tones of a male voice. "It was you, Caradoc, wasn't it? What did you say in the most recent sentence? " I screamed as I launched myself out of bed.

Caradoc continued to look at me with contempt in his eyes.

Caradoc gave me the cold eye again. "Who are you?"

When he had opened his eyes, I found that they were boring and uninspiring. This time, the eyes that were staring at me did not lack any expression; rather, there was a hint of anger, scorn, and suspicion in them.

"Mrs. Rondelle! "

I dashed downstairs.

"Mrs. Rondelle, Caradoc has completely regained consciousness! "

That guy was wide awake! My cheeks were flushed, my heart was beating really fast, and my chest was pumping rapidly.

" Caradoc. he was totally awake. He was not only awake but had also communicated with me. "

In spite of the fact that he had a deep, raspy voice and spoke slowly, he managed to exude a sense of dread.

Because everyone around me had convinced me that he was going to die, I had never given any thought to what I would do if he suddenly recovered consciousness. However, I realized that I needed to start thinking about this as soon as possible.

As soon as Mrs. Rondelle, the doctor, and the bodyguard heard my screams, they all rushed racing. After a half an hour, the house was completely packed with people.

They could not believe what they were hearing. There was not a single person who held out any hope that Caradoc would awake.

"Caradoc, I was hoping to see you here!" Laura's happiness showed as tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I'm delighted you woke up, Caradoc." Mark added.

"You don't know how anxious everyone was, particularly aunt. Her hair started to turn gray as a result of the stress she was going through. " Asdin said.

The doctor concluded his examination of Caradoc, "This really is a miracle! My most recent visit to him revealed no improvement. When we've finished with Caradoc's treatment and he's regained his ability to communicate, he'll be back to normal in no time at all. "

Laura was taken aback by the suddenness with which she received the wonderful news. Her legs buckled under her, and she fell to the ground in a state of shock.

When Mark witnessed his mother collapse, he rushed to her aid and assisted her in getting back up on her feet.

While the doctor, Mrs. Rondelle, and the bodyguard remained inside, I stood at the entryway, stunned and unable to form a coherent thought.

Because of my dread, I didn't have the courage to go in there. Once Caradoc regained consciousness, he emanated a foreboding atmosphere.

He was able to keep his balance by leaning on the headboard.

His eyes were like hawks', and they fixed a terrifying glare on me.

"Who is she?" he had a deep and authoritative tone to his voice while sipping water.

Mrs. Rondelle bowed her head respectfully and whispered to Master Caradoc, "While you were away getting treatment for your illness, Madam Laura picked out a bride for you. "

Caradoc hurled the cup he was drinking from at me as his thin lips split slightly and his soulless, cruel voice roared, "Get her out of here, immediately!"

Chapter 5

Alyssa's POV

I took a few steps back in bewilderment as I retreated. Tears welled up.

Caradoc gave off the aura of being a wild beast that had just awakened from hibernation.

Sleeping, he offered no risk. However, now that he was awake, I had a very real fear that something bad was about to happen.

I took a few steps back and turned around.

As I exited the room, Mrs. Rondelle ensured that the door was securely shut behind her.

She comfort me, "Don't be worried, Madam. I promise you he won't hurt you."

when she saw how surprised I looked, she added.

It's possible Caradoc can't take everything in right now since he just woke up. Let's get you situated into the guest room for the night and we can talk in the morning. Since Madam Laura values you, she may be on your side once she regains consciousness. Everyone needs some time to process everything that's happening so quickly. Everything will turn out OK in the end.

A mental tempest had swept over my head. Although I had pondered the possibility that Caradoc may die away someday, I had never given any thought to the possibility that he could regain consciousness and banished me out.

I murmured, "Mrs. Rondelle, my things are still in the room..." as I eyed the door to the master bedroom. It was Caradoc's chilly glare early on that should have been my first warning that he would never accept me. His rejection of me was so chilly I could feel it from the door.

Mrs. Rondelle exhaled deeply before sighing, "Let's leave it there for the time being if there's nothing too serious. I assure you that I will deliver it to you the following day. " Mrs. Rondelle said, "I've been working for him for a very long time, I know him well. Although he seems to be threatening from the outside, he is warm and kindhearted man. "

In response, all I could do was sigh and keep my mouth shut.

Although I am legally married to him, this is really our first encounter. It was not surprising to anticipate that he would be hostile.

That particular evening, I had a hard time dozing off to sleep. My mind were wandering all over the place, making it impossible for me to focus on anything.

My life's routine had been significantly disrupted as a result of Caradoc's recuperation. At seven o'clock the next morning, Mrs. Rondelle entered the guest room where I was sleeping and proceeded to move in all of my belongings from the main bedroom.

"Madam, breakfast is ready," Mrs. Rondelle told me.

"You need to talk to him."

"I don't think he wants to get to know me."

"I asked him whether he was angry when I told him that Laura likes you, but he didn't show any evidence of hostility."

"His attitude might be a little bit better today."

My eye was immediately attracted to Caradoc, who was using a wheelchair and sat in the eating area as I entered the room. He sat up straight despite being in a wheelchair. He would surely be tall and strapping if he stood up. Filled with uneasiness, I sat myself down at the dining table as Mrs. Rondelle set up a place for me. In spite of the fact that I was reaching for my fork, Caradoc remained silent.

I gave him a sideways glance, and that was enough to get Caradoc's notice.

His eyes gave the impression of being wide maws that would eat anybody unfortunate enough to cross their path.

"Hey. I'm. I'm Aly." I stammered.

Caradoc reached for his coffee and started drinking it immediately. The tone of his voice was lifeless and indifferent, "I heard that you may be pregnant with my baby."

I was mid-bite when I suddenly became aware of a constriction in my chest, and it prompted me to stop eating.

"Would you rather have an abortion performed surgically or medically?"

He spoke in a calm and composed way.

I lost all ability to think clearly.

Mrs. Rondelle thought that the topic being discussed was too eerie, so she proceeded to add, "Master Caradoc, the child was Madam Capell's idea."

" Do not try to influence me by bringing up my mother." Caradoc growled, giving Mrs. Rondelle the cold shoulder. "

"Caradoc."

Before I could complete my sentence, I was cut off by Caradoc,

"Why are you using my name in such a manner? "

After a brief period during which I was rendered speechless, I finally said, "What else should I name you? Honey? "

The thin lips of Caradoc contracted, and he presented an angry appearance.

I made an effort to soothe him down before his wrath could become uncontrollable.

"No, I'm not going to have a kid any time soon. The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to inquire about obtaining a tampon. "

Caradoc said nothing. He took a sip from his coffee. I had an upset stomach and started eating breakfast.

After finishing my meal as soon as I could, I got up from the table to get my things.

It made me nervous to live in the same house with Caradoc.

"Make sure all of the required documentation is ready. "

Caradoc said it with a chill in his voice, "we'll be having a divorce. "

I stopped in the middle of my step, yet it didn't surprise me at all.

"Are we getting a divorce at this second? "

"Within a few days," Caradoc added.

Since of the shock that she had the night before, Laura had to be taken to the hospital this morning because her heart attack. Caradoc wanted to wait until his mother's condition was stable before discussing the divorce. "Okay, just let me know when," I said before I rushed back to my room. I returned with my baggage in tow.

Through the crack of the bedroom door, I was taken aback when I recognized a person lurking in the dim light of the living room. Indeed, it was Asdin.

He seemed to be shaking uncontrollably as he stood close to Caradoc's wheelchair,

Asdin said he placed a box of vitamins on the coffee table.

The guy took the things from the table and tossed them away.

"Brother Caradoc!"

Asdin wept.

"If you don't like these top-of-the-line vitamins, I can get you something else. Don't get too fired up. " As Asdin was wrapping up his statement, a second bodyguard gave him a kick to the back of the knees, which sent him down to his knees.

I held my breath.

While smoking a cigarette, Caradoc said,

"My dear cousin, I'm sure it must come as a disappointment to you that I'm awake now."

The bodyguard pulled a lighter out of his pocket and lit the cigarette in his hands.

In spite of the fact that he had just recently awakened the previous evening, he was already drinking wine and smoking cigarettes.

He continued, "Of course, I'm delighted that you're awake...," in between sobbing as he said this.

"In all of my years, I've fervently wanted that you'd-"

Caradoc strained his eyes before continuing.

His comments, although being delivered in a casual manner, were oozing with the atmosphere of deadly intent.

"You took shares from my attorney; aren't you going to admit your guilt?" "

He pressed the cigarette butt on back of Asdin's hand.

Asdin groaned in pain.

After that, he yelled in a furious manner, "Get out of here!"

"If you let me find you do anything again, I will feed you to the wild wolves. "

Because of his panic, Asdin was a total wreck as he walked out of the room, and my heart was unable to return to its regular rate.

Fear caused me to shake all over.

I ran out of the house in a hurry, grabbing my luggage by the handle with both hands. And his words feeding to the wild wolves kept recurring on my mind.
