Donna Davis's Pov

When I turned around, I was confronted by the towering presence of Sean Matthews, who was standing in front of me. As I looked down, the beating of my heart came perilously near to ceasing completely.

The door to the meeting room was opened by Bruce Scott once he took the initiative to come forward.

After the door was opened, it was seen that Sean Matthews walked through it and entered the conference room.

"Go in." Bruce Scott said.

What Bruce Scott said first thing this morning is very much on my mind right now. During the course of the meeting, it is possible that at any moment I will be needed to enter.

Because I was running late for the meeting, I hurriedly entered the room.

After entering the room, I moved immediately to the side of the projector and stood there.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I couldn't tear my eyes away from Sean Matthews once the meeting had begun.

I kept the presentation playing throughout the full conference by clicking the play button on the remote control whenever it was necessary. I did not participate in any extra activities of any kind.

The conference didn't end until one o'clock in the afternoon, which was far into the day.

After I helped open the door, the guests exited the room one after the other in the order .

Following the completion of his work on the computer, Bruce Scott stood up and then exited the premises.

Sean Matthews was the only one in the conference room, and as soon as he got there, he sat down in the chair and declared that he had no plans to get up.

Even at this early stage, I had the distinct feeling that those smoky eyes were fixated on me.

My heart continued to beat quite fast.

He... I'm not sure why he's looking at me in that manner. I don't get it.

The voice instructed them to lock the door and come to this location immediately.

The voice of Sean Matthews has a lulling quality, yet in a manner that suggests malevolence.

After a brief moment of indecision, I left the room, locked the door behind me, and crept up to a distance of one meter from Sean Matthews while maintaining an erect posture.

"Excuse me, what can I do for you?"

I said my words in a hushed tone.

Before getting to his feet and facing the audience, Sean Matthews did not speak a single word.

I was so scared that I turned around and ran in the other direction.

Sean Matthews extended his arm and wrapped it around my waist before he began to pull me in.

I was so terrified that I let out a scream. After that, I ended up falling into the conference table.

"Are you trying to get my attention?"

The dark circles under Sean Matthews' eyes narrowed ever so little as he spoke "..." I was speechless and my thoughts went completely blank as I stammered out, "I... I didn't!"

"playing hard to get."

I stared at him with a perplexed expression.

Sean Matthews grabbed me about the waist, and he pulled me into him with an exclamation!

My cheeks flushed and I was aware of a rising temperature throughout my body.

"Mr. Matthews, I... I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. My title is "administrative assistant," and that's all I do. This is not something that should be done. This room is reserved for business meetings and conventions! It is impossible to predict when people will start arriving.

When Sean Matthews came up to me, he gave me a quick grip on the jaw and said, "you have no idea? You won't believe it, but I'm going to take off every article of clothes you're wearing .Can you think of anything?"

I was paralyzed with fear to the point that all I could do was stare at him. Are you kidding?

"As it turns out, Mr. Matthews, you really must have mistaken the guy!"

I'm scared.

Obviously, I made an incorrect assessment of the amount of danger offered by this particular person.

During that short second, when I was utterly taken aback, Sean Matthews seized hold of my collar and pulled it down forcibly.

At that very moment, a memory of earlier in the evening came flooding back to me.

I took hold of both of Sean Matthews' hands and squeezed them together so that he couldn't continue speaking.

I hastily got up from the table, pulled up the ripped collar, and straightened it all out?

What exactly does Sean Matthews want to convey with those words?

It has a spooky ring to it.

Does he believe that I am intentionally trying to seduce him?

Donna Davis's Pov

Working in the department that handles the secretaries is a role that suits me well. In any case, compared to my previous job as a public secretary, this one is a lot more relaxed.

Thankfully, Sean Matthews did not continue his unusual behavior following that incident.

When I was on my way home from work, I drove by a toy shop and pondered whether or not I should purchase any of the adorable dolls that were displayed in the window.

"Donna Davis?"

When I turned around, I saw two ladies seated in a vehicle that had pulled over on the side of the road. Even though it had been many years after I had graduated, I was still able to identify the lady who was in the automobile.

"Sally Nadine"

"Is it really you? Have you returned?"

"Ah, not long."

It was Sally Nadine who phoned her.

"I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Sally Nadine."

I brought myself back under control, and then I gave out the gift that I was holding.

If I had known Aaron Matthews was going to be here, there is no way I would have come!

Sally Nadine's eyes lit up with disdain when she saw the package I was holding, which was not even close to being as large as her palm.

The mocking smiles were shared by other ladies as well.

Someone remarked, "Is that the best present you can give, Donna Davis? What is the price of it?"

When Sally Nadine opened the box, she saw a set of pendants made of silver and decorated with flowers. She took hold in her hands and shook it in front of everyone. "Look, I would wager that it is little more than forty bucks,"

Sally Nadine let out a sigh, "Donna Davis, you astonished me! You're still so impoverished. Do you happen to know how much a drink costs at these bars? Over one hundred and eighty dollars for a simple glass of water!" After that, she hurled the necklace off of her head and onto the ground.

I was used to getting the short end of the stick, but I wasn't prepared to be mocked to that extent in front of my former partner. That thing is extremely irate!

Aaron Matthews did not speak at any point from the beginning to the finish of the meeting. He was most certainly paying attention to my joke!

I got down on my knees and scooped up the dropped necklace while bending down. My expression conveyed neither tolerance nor melancholy; rather, it was only a gentle grin. "It's really cheaper, but my boyfriend said that the gift means more in terms of sincerity, not the price."

"Your boyfriend?" enquired Sally Nadine.

Aaron Matthews lifted his eyes to meet my gaze and stared at me intently.

"I'm guessing your boyfriend comes from the same kind of family as you do,"

After that, everyone who was there laughed out loud.

"my boyfriend comes from an extremely wealthy family. It seems to me that you ought to be familiar with the most prominent people in a city. My fiance, Sean Matthews, is the leader of the top group. He is also the guy I'm dating." I stated it with a smile and a sense of comfort.

However, my innermost being is begging for help.

Aaron Matthews cast a passing glance in my direction.

"Top group? Your bragging can only go so far before it becomes ridiculous." Laughter came from Sally Nadine.

When Sean Matthews approached in the direction of me, I became even more agitated.

When the huge shadow lifted, I saw Sean Matthews standing in front of me, his dark eyes gleaming with an icy light.

My head is pressed into my chest, and the skin on my face is beginning to catch fire.

While others are keeping an eye on things and waiting.

"Why are you even in this place?"

The quiet voice of Sean Matthews was heard.

Donna Davis's Pov

I answered with some trepidation, "I'm going to a friend's birthday..."

Aaron Matthews furrowed his brow and looked at the situation with a suspicious eye.

"Do you have any acquaintance with Donna Davis, Mr. Matthews?"

Sally Nadine is feeling a bit bewildered right now.

Sean Matthews just act as if he didn't hear what Sally Nadine said. His dark eyes were just focused on looking at me. "It is not recommended that you go somewhere like this kind of low bars where bitches came. "

"Give her back to me." Sean Matthews issued orders to his underlings.

Sally Nadine was really interested in finding out the truth. "Mr. Matthews, is Donna Davis truly your girlfriend?"

Everyone in the room was looking forward to hearing the answer.

Aaron Matthews gritted his back teeth and his gaze dropped on my face, staring straight through me as if he could see right through me.

Sean Matthews exhibited a little amount of leaning and gazed at Sally Nadine. "Who are you?When are you qualified to talk with me."

The momentum was so overwhelming for Sally Nadine that she had to take a step back.

After finishing, Sean Matthews turned and walked away.

The subordinate said, "Ms. Davis, I'll take you back."

When I finally came to my senses, I abandoned the other guys and followed the other man out of the pub.

Outside of the club, the security was overheard saying, "Please hold on just a second. The automobile will arrive in a moment."

"Don't send me. I'll go back by myself!" After saying that, I get into a cab and quickly go away.

Are you kidding? Will I have the guys working for Sean Matthews bring me back?

If he discovers the kids at home, there's no way I can keep it a secret!

Even after getting inside the cab, I remained in a state of disbelief. This whole event is a complete farce. If I had known, I would have stayed away.

The question is, is Sean Matthews upset about something?

I'm sorry, but I really don't know.

When the ringtone came on my mobile phone, I immediately glanced at it.

That would be Aaron Matthews.

Even though I didn't respond, my mobile phone continued to ring, which caused the driver to stare at me quite a few times.

"who?"

If you don't know the answer, then why do you respond so slowly?

I managed an uneasy grin. "Do you think it's necessary for me to have your advice before I pick up the phone?"

"What is your relationship to Sean Matthews?"

Aaron Matthews was probed for information.

Aaron Matthews is such a revolting example of human behavior.

After I got back to my old house, I went ahead and changed my mobile phone number. Aaron Matthews knew my number. It must be Sally Nadine who told him.

Relax, I'm getting antsy in here. When I got back to my house, I didn't get in touch with anybody, but today more and more people recognize me.

It makes no difference whether they know me. I have kids. Anyway, I've always been this way.

However, I was unable to tell Sean Matthews the news!

When i got back to the house, the children all went to sleep.

Susan didn't leave the house until I had returned.
