Chapter 1

On the day I'm about to quit the game, I see countless live comments flashing across my vision.

"Yay! The male supporting lead is about to quit the game!"

"Now, the male lead won't have to worry about getting exposed for using the male supporting lead's game account to get into online relationships with others!"

"Our darling male lead is too smart, after all! Whenever he goes on dates, he often uses the voice chat function in the game. That's why the male supporting lead is still kept in the dark!"

"Holy shit, Henry really is lucky!"

"To think that he used Vincent's max-level account to flirt with the four richest female players on the server!"

"Later at 2:00 pm, he'll be meeting his first date partner, Yvonne Johnson the cold and aloof campus belle, at Cosmic Coffee!"

"Tomorrow, he'll be meeting up with the top assassin in-game! The day after that, he'll go on a date with the second-highest paying player of the game! Wow, his time management skills really are amazing!"

The "Henry" whom the live comments are referring to is Henry Luster, my roommate.

So, he's been flirting with four of the top-tier rich female players while impersonating me, huh?

More live comments streak past my eyes at that moment.

"Why isn't the male supporting lead leaving? Yvonne is already waiting for the male lead right now!"

"This is their first romantic date as the leads of this story! I can't wait to watch it unfold!"

As I turn to look at Henry, who's styling his hair before the mirror, I suddenly realize that I'm the supporting male lead whom the live comments are referring to.

My lips curl into a small smile. Since Henry has been using my identity to become a virtual casanova, then it's not wrong of me to attend each date in person on his behalf, right?

In Shimmering Starfield, my in-game ID was "WindListener," and I was the highest-spending mage on the server.

I sent my Xenotech laptop in for service two weeks ago and had borrowed Henry Luster's beat-up laptop one time.

I hadn't expected Henry to actually save my password in secret. He not only took over my account but also downloaded my time-limited stories from social media and posed as a rich, high-status heartthrob while juggling several women in the game.

Henry spritzed some hairspray while facing the mirror. He was actually wearing my Alysian bespoke suit—the one still hanging in the closet with its tags untouched. He turned around, flashing a bright, harmless smile, and said, "I've got an interview this afternoon, Vincent, so I'll be borrowing your suit."

I watched him coldly with a mocking smile tugging at the corner of my lips. "I hope your interview goes well, then."

I opened the closet once Henry stepped out, thinking that Henry was probably meeting my in-game partner rather than attending an interview.

I chose a tight-fitting black silk shirt and left the top two buttons undone. I styled my hair slightly, revealing my sharp jawline. I looked at my reflection in the mirror—bold, arrogant, and handsome. I decided to beat him to the punch and sabotage his meeting since he liked to impersonate me for online romance.

I arrived at Cosmic Coffee near the campus at 1:30 pm, half an hour ahead of schedule.

I spotted Yvonne Johnson sitting by the window right away. Yvonne was the well-known, cold campus belle from the law department and the number one female fighter in the game. She was currently checking her phone with a rare look of expectation on her face.

I approached her with a steady pace in my custom leather shoes and then took a seat right across from her.

Yvonne instinctively furrowed her brow after catching the subtle waft of cologne and looked up. She was stunned the moment she saw exactly who was in front of her.

"What the hell? How come the supporting male lead arrived ahead of time?"

"Isn't he supposed to be in the dorm room, deleting his accounts? Why is the storyline so different now?"

"Oh, my God! Vincent looks amazing in this! He's the very image of the aloof, dominant CEO in the photos!"

I propped my chin on my hand, a half-smile playing on my lips as I looked at her. "Have you been waiting long?"

Yvonne immediately blushed. She nervously straightened up in her seat, her voice betraying a hint of unease as she asked, "A-Are you actually 'WindListener'? Your voice doesn't seem to match the one in-game, though."

In that instant, the comment section scrolled past at high speed.

"It seems like the supporting male lead just messed up!"

"It seems like our darling male lead is on voice chat with the top players every day. It's impossible for her not to notice that the voice is different."

I chuckled softly and said, "I had a voice changer on while playing."

I then recounted details that happened in-game that only we could know. "You endured three ultimate attacks from the opposing mage to save me in last week's cross-server battle. I still haven't repaired that orange longsword that dropped in-game."

Yvonne's eyes immediately brightened. She dropped her cold facade, replaced by a look of sheer awe and joy. "You're really 'WindListener'! You're a hundred times more handsome than you are in your photos!"

In that instant, everyone in the comment section went wild.

"Holy shit! That supporting male lead has no shame at all!"

"You guys shouldn't freak out first; our male lead will be here in five seconds!"

It was then that the coffee shop door swung open. Henry rushed in, sweating profusely while dressed in my ill-fitting suit.

Chapter 2

Upon spotting me sitting across from Yvonne, Henry's smile instantly vanished. He widened his eyes in surprise and stammered, "V-Vincent?"

I took a sip of my iced coffee, completely ignoring him.

Yvonne furrowed her brow, her gaze sharp and disapproving as she looked at Henry. "Is this your classmate?"

I casually swirled the ice in my drink and replied, "He's my roommate, Henry Luster."

Henry bit his lip, his expression a mix of sheer panic and resentment. His greed got the better of him after looking at Yvonne's stunning features and then at me. He took a deep breath, braced himself, and pulled out a chair to sit right beside us.

He deepened his voice on purpose, putting on a deeply affectionate posture while saying, "It's truly a coincidence meeting you here, Yvonne. I'm actually the one who made the appointment to see you today."

He attempted to take Yvonne's hand from the table while saying, "Vincent just happened to be nearby. He doesn't even play this game."

Yvonne flinched and withdrew her hand, a trace of disgust flashing in her gaze. She then looked at me with a questioning expression.

I chuckled softly, propping my chin on one hand as I stared at Henry. "You're the one who set up this appointment, huh? Why don't you tell me which dungeon we raided together last night, then?"

Henry went rigid in an instant. He had hacked into my account, but he had spent all his time talking to people on voice chat and knew nothing about the game. He struggled to come up with a response for quite some time before stammering, "I-I was very tired last night, so I don't remember it."

He looked around nervously as he attempted to salvage the situation. "You shouldn't listen to his nonsense, Yvonne. He's never even laid eyes on a max-level account!"

I looked at him with a pronounced, mocking smile. "How about we discuss game mechanics since you're such an expert, Henry?"

I shifted my gaze to Yvonne and spoke with a professional yet nonchalant air. "In last week's patch, the mage's skill 'Frozen Miles' had a hidden 0.5-second casting delay nerf. If you want to avoid being interrupted during cross-server battles, should you pick 'Rapid Cooling' or 'Frost Shield' in the third row of the talent tree?"

Yvonne's eyes immediately brightened, knowing that this was the kind of high-level metadata only pro players tracked. She turned a sharp, questioning look on Henry and asked, "What's your take on it, Henry, since you're 'WindListener'?"

Henry was completely dumbfounded. He only ever used my account to flirt and get free items in the safe zones. He barely knew the hotkeys, let alone cast animations or talent trees. He clutched the fabric of the oversized suit and stammered, "I-I guess I'd go with 'Frost Shield' because of the survivability."

He came up with what he thought was a smart, sensible-sounding reply.

Yvonne's expression immediately hardened.

I scoffed without holding back. "You ought to know that that's a trash talent only newbies under level 30 would choose. You don't even know something this fundamental, and yet you still have the nerve to claim that you're the top mage of the server."

It seemed like every word I uttered served as a resounding slap to Henry's face.

Yvonne went even further and directly asked him to leave. "You should leave now since I have private matters to talk about with my boyfriend—we don't want to be disturbed by strangers."

Henry's face flushed with embarrassment. He had been exposed as a fraud, and the "perfect catch" he had worked so hard to manipulate was now firmly on my side instead. He immediately broke down, overwhelmed with shame and spite. He covered his face and bolted from the coffee shop like the coward he was.

"Holy shit! That pro-level shutdown by the supporting male lead was incredible!"

"Henry is such an incompetent hack! He couldn't even answer a single question!"

"I'm cracking up over here! He's trying to act like the top-ranked mage without even knowing what 'Rapid Cooling' is!"

"He's done for! His 'perfect catch' is entirely in the supporting male lead's hands!"

"Henry is crying so miserably! He definitely won't let this go without a fight!"

I stared at the flood of fast-moving comments and slowly drained the last of my iced coffee. I was fine with Henry not letting this go without a fight; after all, I had only just snatched the first target—the best part had yet to come.

Chapter 3

I followed the pinpoint schedule from the comments and began my "interception mission" for the next three days.

It was a Tuesday afternoon, and Henry was going to meet his second target offline. "MoonShadow" was the top-ranked assassin in all of "Shimmering Starfield".

I swapped into a black leather biker jacket and showed up at Enthrall Bar half an hour ahead of time.

"MoonShadow" was a rebellious young woman with silver hair who had a raw, untamed energy about her. She was visibly stunned as she reached the table and caught sight of me, her pace faltering slightly.

I merely swirled the cocktail in my glass and said softly, "You lost that open-world duel last time and owed me ten thousand gold. When do you plan to pay it back?"

Just that one piece of inside information from the game made "MoonShadow" drop her defenses. She—the unruly, high-ranking assassin in-game—blushed deeply as she hesitantly called out my in-game ID. "W-WindListener…"

Just as we were hitting it off, Henry burst through the door of the bar, huffing and puffing.

He had gone out of his way to wear an irresistibly cute, city-boy-style outfit, fully expecting to reel in his second target. He was, however, completely stunned and stood rooted to the floor the moment he looked toward the table and spotted me sitting there with "MoonShadow".

He was baffled as to how I met up with Yvonne the previous day and "MoonShadow" today. He finally understood that I hadn't just happened to pass by—I was systematically hunting down his targets with precision.

He trembled with fury, his eyes turning bloodshot as he clenched his fists until his nails pierced his skin. He saw "MoonShadow" treating me with such devotion and compliance that he couldn't bring himself to face me. He turned and fled the scene in a hurry instead.

It was a Wednesday night, and Henry planned to meet his third target—the game's top healer, "MiracleTouch".

I put on a refined, casual button-down and took my seat in the upscale restaurant early. "MiracleTouch" turned out to be a sophisticated, mature woman with gold-rimmed glasses. I simply told her that her bad positioning in the previous dungeon almost wiped out the party twice and that she owed us an apology for that, for her to gladly serve me my steak and wine.

Henry, all dressed up and arriving at the scene, saw me laughing and talking with "MiracleTouch". He was beside himself with rage.

"Oh no! It seems like the supporting male lead has snatched all of the male lead's targets!"

"He's absolutely livid! He's already smashed three glasses in his dorm room out of pure rage!"

"That supporting male lead is too cunning! He's using his inside knowledge to snatch the targets first!"

"You shouldn't back down now, Henry! You should just gather all four of them and have a face-to-face showdown!"

"That's right! You have to expose the supporting male lead for the account-stealing fraud he really is!"

I looked at the frantic scrolling of the comments in the comment section and smiled deeply, thinking that Henry had finally reached his breaking point and was ready to lash out in desperation.

Just as I expected, Henry sent me a message on Friday evening. "I've booked a private room at Peninsula View, and all four of them are coming. Do you have the guts to show up and confront them, Vincent?"

I looked at the message and almost laughed aloud, wondering if this was a case of the guilty accusing the innocent. Did Henry actually plan to assemble all four targets for a public condemnation meeting? He was practically begging for a quicker downfall.

I arrived at the designated spot at a leisurely pace and opened the door to the private room of Peninsula View at 8:00 pm.
