Chapter 8

With shaking hands I dialed the "A" for Aamon wanting to save his contact as he had ordered. I still couldn't believe this fool was blackmailing me into doing stupid things he wishes, he's such a devil.

"Give it." He snatched the phone from my hand and quickly dialed somethings I couldn't see, then tossed it back to me.

"Here you go, now remember.." he blabbed as I unlocked my screen only to find that he had saved himself as "My other half" my face fell for the pet name, what if my mom saw it, she will think her daughter as found her one and only yet all I've found was nothing but the devil himself. Why is the moon goddess so cruel to me?

"You are to do as I tell you," he smirked evily shaking his stupid phone in my face, rubbing it all in my face. "Remember what you've promised."

Never in my life had I ever felt so helpless and humiliated as I felt at that moment. I was struggling to keep my emotions in check.

I waited for the douchebag to leave and get into the school's main doors, I waved my fist in his direction. How foolish of me, as if this could take all the rage I felt inside me away. I felt trapped like I was in a bird box.

As my fist fell, my body seemed to lose strength along with it. My head hung down powerlessly, my shoulders slumping in defeat. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, all the air sucked out of me.

"Why did I agree to this?" I whispered to myself, feeling like I had made the hugest mistake of my life.

"Nixx," I called to my wolf hoping she would cormfort me, she always had ways of giving me support and advise in times when I so needed it.

"What have I done?" I asked her, my mind racing with worries about the future.

"Don't worry, Haven," she said. "I've already connected with Lykon through the mate bond."

"Whose Lykon?" I questioned as the name seemed so foreign in my ears.

"Silly you," I could imagine Nixx's big smile as she talked. "Lykon is Aamon's wolf, he's very nice and super handsome just like Aamon, he told me that Aamon likes you, and I think this could be a good thing."

Well! I was now starting to regret all the trust I had put in my wolf, here she was talking dreamily like a love sick puppy over the person that just blackmailed me.

"We are supposed to hate Aamon not like him" I scolded her.

"Trust me babe, Aamon isn't as bad as you think," my wolf replied. "And who knows, maybe this is fate's way of bringing you two together. You should accept it, this is what the moon goddess chose for you."

I shook my head, trying to clear the cobwebs Nixx was starting to put in my head. "I don't know, Nixx This feels wrong."

But she just chuckled, "Trust me, Haven I know what I'm talking about. Just accept fate and see where it takes you."

I sighed in resignation, no one can ever win an argument with my wolf, so the best thing I had to do was to ignore this all. And act like none of it was happening.

* * *

I was packing up my things, ready to head home early after a long day of classes. This must have been the longest werewolf history lecture ever. My phone vibrated, I hesitated for a moment before pulling it out, already knowing who it was.

"My other half!" I read out disgustingly.

"Bring me water, hockey field, now!"

I rolled my eyes, at his rudeness, he could have said a hello atleast. It seems I was now his personal servant. That douchebag. If only there was a way I could get out of this agreement we made. I was now forced the do everything he asked me so he could keep my secret, I regretted the day I wrote the very first chapter of my erotic novels. I wouldn't be in all this mess right now, if only I had kept my imagination to myself.

But now it was too late, plus I didn't regret so much since I really liked what I was doing. It had become a hobby for me, the only thing I truly enjoyed but this fool was ruining it for me.

"Fine, am bringing it," I typed out a quick reply before heading to the canteen to buy Mr. Jerk face a bottle of water.

I had no choice but to be at his beck and call. I had to keep up my end of the bargain, no matter how much I didn't want to.

As I walked towards the hockey field, I couldn't help but get captivated by the game a little. Or more so because of the duel that was happening.

"Just look at the skills both the young Alphas Aamon and Ryder are bringing?" I heard the MC's voice from the speakers.

I watched from the sidelines as Aamon and Ryder clashed on the ice, their hockey sticks flying as they battled for control of the puck. The crowd cheered and chanted, drawn in by the intensity these two were bringing to the game.

"Matt, may I remind you that Blackwood was the youngest ever werewolf to enter the hockey field, he started playing at four."

"Ohhh! Did you see that?" One Mc asked the other. "Blackwood just slammed the striker of Winter wolves Ryder Glacier, straight into the barrier."

I was amazed at how Aamon managed to throw Ryder on the ground, they were both so ....

My mind was interupted by a group of girls that surrounded me, they all had their eyes on Aamon and Ryder, what suprised me was that I had never seen them on campus before, they must have been from another University.

"Oh my gosh, Aamon is so hot!" one of them squealed. "I know, right? And Ryder's abs are amazing!"

"I wish Aamon would just let me lick the sweat off his abs, after the game. I would so gladly do it," another moaned loudly.

I rolled my eyes, uninterested in their conversation. I just wanted to deliver the water and leave as soon as possible.

But as the game ended and Aamon strode towards me, I felt a flutter in my chest. He was grinning, his eyes sparkling like two bright jewels twinkling in the light, his smile was like a beam of sunlight, so enchanting for some reason I found myself becoming captive to it.

You are a lifesaver," he said taking the bottle from me.

I shrugged, trying to play it cool. "No problem. I just wanted to get it over with."

He chuckled before opening his lips like he was going to say something, just then a group of uni girls caught his attention, asking for photographs, autographs and hugs, I could tell some wanted more though, it was never hard for me to notice a slut most especially because I wrote so many times about them in my erotic novels.

I took advantage of the distraction to make my escape, but Aamon's voice called out behind me. "Hey, Haven, where do you think you're going, am not done with you yet."

Aamon's voice sent shivers down my spine. I knew that tone, there was a hint of pure evil in it. I didn't dare look back, fearing what I might see.

But I had to.

I had no choice!

Chapter 9

He grabbed my hand and practically dragged me out of the arena, pulling me into the direction of the boys locker room, locking the door behind us.

I felt unease being in an only boys room but Aamon didn't seem bothered at all bringing me here. But then since when did he ever care about the rules, he is the fuckin son of the town's Alpha, he kinda of rules.

He begun to take off his equipment, the crowds were still chanting his name outside, I have to give him credit though he is quite good at this game, having scored four out of the five goals tonight, made him not only the best player in today's game but the whole season as well.

As he stripped off his sweaty gear, I couldn't help but notice the way his muscles rippled beneath his skin. I swallowed as that was the only thing that could keep me from salivating for his Perfect solid psyche, I bet he visited the gym a couple of times for him to be in such a perfect shape. Any girl would die for this but I wouldn't give him the satisfaction that I would die for it too.

When he finally took off the vest underneath, I felt my mouth go dry.

Aamon's eyes met mine, a hint of an arrogant" Am sexy and I know it smile" playing on his lips. "Like what you see?" he asked, his voice low and husky making it harder for me to breath.

I swallowed hard, trying to look away but unable to tear my gaze from his chiseled physique. How could the moon goddess give one man such a perfect body, this wasn't fair at all to the rest of the male species.

Aamon's smile grew wider, and he took a step closer to me, his eyes never leaving mine.

"You're staring," he said, his voice with a teasing end to it.

I felt my face heat up, but I couldn't deny it. Aamon was so damn sexy not to mention the hottest thing on the planet. I couldn't help but get drawn to him, he was like a fuckin Greek god, flowing with the highest level of testerone but as he took another step closer to me, I realized I was in trouble. Very Big trouble!

His hand wrapped around mine, pulling me closer to himself, I felt a jolt of electricity run through my body at our closeness. His fingers intertwined with mine, guiding my hand to his stomach. I hesitated, unsure of what to expect, but his gorgeous eyes sparkled with mischief.

"Feel this," he said, his voice low and husky. "Can this be your writing inspiration?"

My hand made contact with his skin, and I felt a rush of heat. His abdominal muscles were hard and defined, like granite beneath my fingertips. I couldn't help but explore, I touched him slightly , all over just using the tips of my fingers to feel them and for some reason it made me go wild.

Aamon leaned in closer, his face inches from mine. I felt his warm icy breath dance across my skin, sending shivers down my spine. The distance between us seemed like too much.

I heard a slight chuckle from him as he put his hand under my chin and lifted it with his fingers making me look into his electric emerald eyes, my cheeks flushed as his hands brushed my bottom lips. I was so losing it to him.

He leaned in close, our faces almost touching, this mad me panic, my heart racing so fast, I felt as if it could burst out of my chest.

His dangerously captivating eyes never left mine as he threw the vest in my face, I was quick to catch it. Here came Mr. Douchebag again.

"Take it home and wash it," he said, his voice firm leaving no room for argument. "I'll come by tonight to pick it up."

My heart sank, at his words. I wanted Aamon no where near my home even though we were practically neighbors, I would rather see him across the street than even an inch closer to my compound.

"I don't..." I was about to protest but when I looked into his eyes that had darkened a bit with a hint of threat in them, my mouth found a zipper immediately.

"If you don't," he said, his voice low and husky, making my insides melt. "I'll make sure everyone knows about our little secret. And we both know you wouldn't want that cupcake."

Another pet name, I wondered were he managed to get all of them, probably from a pro experience of being a player. I bet he had wooed so many girls with his charm but I wasn't about to let myself become victim to his little games.

I gritted my teeth, feeling trapped. I had no choice but to agree. I nodded, trying to hide my reluctance.

"Fine," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Aamon's awarded with that victory million dollar smile, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Good," he said. "I'll see you tonight."

As he turned to leave, I felt a sense of dread wash over me. What had I just agreed to?

I clutched the jersey to my chest, still warm from Aamon's body heat, it even smelled of his scent, I couldn't wait to get home and dip my nose into it, after all that is what Nixx my wolf wanted. She was pushing me to my limits and making me forsake the little self respect I had for myself.

Aamon headed into the showers so I hastily used this chance to leave the locker room, his jersey clutched tightly in my hand.

As I stepped out into the lobby, I felt a sense of danger lurking behind me. I quickened my pace, my heart racing with fear. Suddenly, I dodged to the side, avoiding a hand that reached out to grab my hair.

I spun around, my eyes locking onto Ember's twisted face. Her eyes blazed with hatred, her gaze piercing through me like a knife. I felt a chill run down my spine as she took a step closer, her fists clenched.

"You think you can have my brother?" she spat, her voice dropping with the most poisonous venom.

"You're nothing but a dirty little whore!!"

Chapter 10

"Don't try to seduce my brother, a hybrid like you doesn't deserve to be the mate of an Alpha, you're nothing compared to us," Ember's words dripped with venom as she warned me.

Her words unleashed my anger inside me. I didn't want to be mates with Aamon either! This was something something the moon goddess forced onto me and here was his stupid sister threatening me all for nothing.

"I don't want to be his mate either!" I shot back, my voice rising. "But I won't be threatened by you. I don't want anything to do with your brother or your werewolf drama. All I want is to have my peace of mind but your family keeps snatching that away from me."

Ember's hazel eyes flashed with anger, they had a scary edge to them, they no longer looked beautiful like they always did, and she took a step closer to me. "You're just a temporary distraction, a plaything for my brother, I swear He will get tired of you soon enough."

I stood my ground, refusing to back down. "Tell me something are you jealous!"

"Jealous," she scoffed holding her hand to her chest with a look on her face like I had just insulted her.

"Yes," I folded my arms making myself look serious. I wasn't ready to back down this time. "Are you jeoulos, you'll lose all his attention to me."

"What! You rat!" She tried to reach for my hair just as I reached for hers, I was about to pull those blonde strands plucked one by one out of her head, just then Ryder appeared, a smirk on his face.

"Oh, this is rich. Aamon's mate is a nerdy hybrid" His laughter was like a slap in my face, and I felt my anger boil over. What's wrong with being a hybrid?

"You're just as bad as she is! You both scumbags," I scolded them both, my voice echoing off the walls. "You're both disgusting. You think you're so much better than everyone but in reality you are a bunch of classless trash."

Ember's makeup looked like it wanted to melt, am sure I did hit a nerve or two, her scowling face showed it all and Ryder's smirk grew wider. But I didn't care. I was tired of being bullied and threatened. I was tired of being treated like I was less than them.

Ember sneered, "Take those words back before I make you," she screamed in my face, almost spitting in my face. I really did hit a nerve.

"I won't," I spat back at her with confidence.

"I said take them..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Aamon's voice cut through the argument, his tone stern and commanding, he must have used his Alpha to be because I found myself obeying him as well "Enough."

I turned around to face him, he had already changed into a plain white white and dark ripped jeans, his hair was still damp from shower, something about seeing him come to my rescue had me blushing from the inside.

He strode to us in panther like movements, I watched him as if he was in slow motion, his presence commanding attention from each and everyone of us. He was definitely too sexy for this era.

"What is going on here?" Aamon hissed through his teeth, his words filled with venom. His gaze was locked on Ryder, it was as if me and Amber didn't exist.

"Ah, Ryder, I see you're still upset about losing to me on the court," Aamon said, a smirk playing on his lips.

Ryder's face reddened, but that didn't stop Aamon from continuing, the smug expression never leaving his face. "And dearest sister, stop trying to dictate who I can and can't mate with." He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it infront of his sister and Ryder as well. This had my cheeks blushing, I pulled my hand away from his.

" Whether I reject my mate or not is entirely my decision, not yours."

Ember's eyes flashed with anger at her brother but Aamon didn't seem bothered at all.

"Here is a penny for your thoughts sis. Ryder Glacier, already found his mate back at college so it will only be best for you to stop pursuing a werewolf who doesn't belong to you. It's kinda of damn is you ask me."

"Let's leave from here, cupcake," Aamon grabbed my hand, his grip firm, and led us down the lobby, we left behind a chorus of annoyed sounds but all I could focus on was how nicely his warm big hands felt around mine, they fit perfectly. Having him this close had me feel like I was drowning in his strong scent. Everything about Aamon Blackwood was so alluring for some reason.

"Fine, leave then!" Ryder shouted, his voice echoing off the walls. "You're nothing but a coward"

Ember's screams grew louder, more shrill. "You'll regret this, Aamon! You'll regret choosing her over your own sister!"

Their words were like daggers, but Aamon didn't flinch, didn't hesitate at all. He kept walking, his hand holding mine, until we were out of the school building, into the parking area.

He opened the car door for me to get in, I didn't even waste a second entering. Not when there was a possibility of me facing those angry devils, I knew wouldn't survive them without Aamon. They would definitely reap me into pieceshere was no way I could face them wi.

He scanned me making sure I was cormfortable before starting the car engine and driving off without saying even a single word to each other. I didn't know where he was taking me to but one think was for sure I wanted to be anywhere but here, I was scared for what his sister and Ryder would do to me after all that had happened inside.

* * *

I ended up bringing Aamon to my home, I couldn't just leave him outside in the cold without even inviting him in for a cup of tea. That would be rude and also it's the least I can do to thank him for saving my ass back there.

My home was a cozy two story house, it was so big that me and my mom had plenty of room we never used. The best part of it was the glass garden outside, it was so beautiful, I had made sure to take care of the plants and flowers myself, watering them every morning and weeding.

As we entered, I picked up the phone and dialed my mom's number.

"Hey, Mom," I said, trying to sound casual. "What's up?"

"Oh, hey sweetie," my mom replied, her voice cheerful. "I'm on a date with that guy I told you about. We're having a great time, and I won't be home tonight."

I breathed a sigh of relief, glad I wouldn't have to deal with my mom's questions about Aamon "Okay, Mom, have fun. I'll talk to you tomorrow. I love you."

"I love you too sweetheart," she cooed to me through the phone before hanging up.

I turned to Aamon, who had already sat himself in one of our couches watching me with interest. "My mom's on a date."

Aamon raised an eyebrow. "Good. Means we have the place to ourselves." He sent me a dirty wink, licking his lips staring at me like I was some dessert. I kinda of liked it though.

But there was no way I was falling into his trap, I laughed and nodded towards the jersey he had given me. "I'll wash this as soon as possible and return it to you first thing in the morning." I paused as he seemed to have his attention else where, he was looking around my living room at the photos of me and my mom.

"So uhh you could just go home and wait till tomorrow."

Mischief sparkled in Aamon's eyes as he ignored my request to leave. Instead, he strolled to the stairs climbing up.

My heart jumped into panic mode as I hurried to follow him behind trying stop him. "Where do you think you going?" I asked him but the fool ignored me opening the room that was infront of us. Thank God! It was one of the empty ones.

He turned to me with a happy smile on his face that made his gorgeous eyes crinkle at the sides, his smile was definitely the best one I had ever seen on a person.

"Where is your room?" He asked before walking away to check the other.

I was dumbfonded by his question. Why in the world did he want to know where my room was.

"Here it is," he turned to me grinning, before his eyes turning back to the opened door, his gaze scanning the room. Thank God! I had cleaned it this morning before I left for school or else I would be totally embarrassed.

His gaze kept sweeping across my room until it landed on my desk, where my laptop was. Without asking for even my permission he strode into my room, on instinct I followed him inside to make sure he didn't touch any of my things but it was too late.

He had already sat himself on my desk and was now checking through my laptop folders. I couldn't resist slapping my head, who in the whole world is foolish enough to not have a password for their laptop. Believe me, I thought I had no need for it, my mom never checks into my stuff, I have no sibling, so there was never a need.

"Ah, why is this one not finished, huh?" He asked his voic teasing.

I knew he was talking about the sex scene I had left un completed in my drafts last night. Such an asshole! He's got no respect for people's privacy.

I hurried to the desk wanting to shut down my computer from his prying eyes but before I could react, Aamon grabbed my hand and pushed me into my queen sized bed, i hit my back into the mattress, thank God it was soft.

The devil didn't stop at that, before I could give a proper reaction, he pounced, pressing me onto the bed. I squealed in surprise, the bastard instead chuckled, his eyes gleaming with some kind of amusement.

"Today," he leaned in close to my ear, his breath caressing my skin, sending tingles all over my body. I'll help you create some novel materials," he whispered, his voice low, husky and seductive, it felt my panties wet in a mere second.

I pushed at his chest, trying to sit up, but Aamon was too strong. My eyes met his and this felt so very intense.

"Let me go, you bastard!" I demanded, trying to sound stern.

But Aamon just grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, no. I'm just getting started."

And with that, he began to kiss me, his lips tracing the curves of my neck, sending shivers down my spine. I tried to resist, but Aamon's touch was like magic, it felt like fireworks.

As I surrendered to his kiss, I knew I was in trouble. Aamon Backwood was not going to leave until he had gotten what he wanted and what he wanted was me.
