Huh? Just what is happening? Exactly what was up with her expression of distress?
"Ella, drop what you're doing and come with me right now!" She muttered hastily and dashed out of the kitchen.
She was very confused, and Ella could not figure it out. What's going on? She had first heard a scream, and now here was Lisa, looking completely wild. What on earth possibly be going on here?
She disconnected
the regional chef and hurried out of the room to find Lisa.
Until they reached a room, she followed Lisa closely behind. This was Snow's bedroom.
Lisa proclaimed, "She's here," as they entered the chaotic area.
When Ella went to check on Snow, she found her asleep on the bed.
Goodness! Just what the heck is wrong with her???
While she was aware that she had been feeling under the weather the day before, she had no clue that her condition would worsen to this point.
Madame Eva, her stepmother, shouted to her as Ella got out of bed.
"It's plain to see that we're going to lose Snow, and I don't want that to happen. That's why we're looking for some leaves as a temporary solution to her condition. We need you to go pick some Olive leaves for us. "
Ella completely lost her ability to speak.
It took her a few seconds to digest what she had just heard, and during that time she was speechless. To pause.... Exactly what are they discussing, I ask?
As in, "Olive leaves?" Her eyes rolled and she sneered.
"I don't . For the life of me, I can't figure this out. It's the only place you'll find Olive leaves, and they're only located surrounding the cave.
"We know where the Olive leaves are, and we need you to go collect tOlive," Lisa chimed in.
"However, the Alpha King has ordered complete closure of all facilities. As a result, no one should go outside." Ella's heart was pounding so hard that she stammered.
"I can't afford to lose my daughter, Ella. Which means it's up to you to go acquire it for us. "
A pause, as if everyone had been taken aback, followed. Then her dad came up to talk to her.
"Ella, I get it. We need you to do this, however, so please comply. It's crucial. Don't fret... " He said reassuringly, "the moon goddess will be with you; you won't be caught."
But Dad, it's impossible for me to accomplish that. Concerned about being discovered. Or maybe the Alpha knows someone is disobeying his directives. There's no doubt in my mind that I'll soon be dead.
"Ella, pay attention and do what you're instructed!" replied he, in a boisterous tone.
"You never fail to look at things from all angles. This is a command from your Dad, so please comply. Leave!!"
A tremor ran through Ella's body as her eyes began to well up with panic.
Even now, she still couldn't believe it. Who would want to kill her more than her own family? Exactly what has she done to warrant this punishment?
"You can do it, Ella! There isn't much time left. Go!" Ella, bolted from the home. She may be on her deathbed today.
Watching the King, his guard, and his gamma, Queen Olivia stood at the window and stared outside.
Olivia noticed that the morning was abnormally silent and chilly, and not simply because of the lockdown. Strange, however, was the aroma that permeated the air.
The wind roaring outside, the early clouds, the chill air brushing her cheeks through the open window... She could tell that these morning staples were off since they didn't have their customary zing.
Were there bad guys on the mountain, and the King wanted to shut everyone down to prevent an uprising? He had been hiding from everyone since the day before. Olivia had tried several times to visit his rooms, but he always refused her entrance.
He was putting everyone under lockdown, but why? Where was he going, exactly, with his guard
and gamma?
She kept on watching them till his beta, Jeremy, approached him.
He bowed, "My King."
"Where are you going? Can I come with you if you want?
Since Jeremy was his stepbrother, he had appointed him as beta, the second highest position in the pack.
While King Spenser attended to his duties, he said nothing.
When Jeremy called, he muttered, "Don't bother," and hung up.
Even though Jeremy was the King's sole step brother, he was merely the King's beta, and if we're talking about proximity, the King was far closer to his gamma.
The King clearly adored and favored his gamma more, which irritated the beta, Jeremy, since the beta should have had more power as the second in charge after the King.
To be honest, the King should treat him like a beta and raise him up, so why doesn't he? When should he have been farther from his gamma? When he needed something done quickly, he'd give it to his gamma instead of his beta, who was supposed to do it.
Jeremy, still single, was frustrated since he didn't want to share the spotlight with anybody.
Jeremy was the younger brother of King Spenser, and the King's mother had pushed for him to be named beta. Every single one of them adored Powers. But he still hadn't managed to get the most potent abilities he need.
Olivia watched as he went away, presumably to his rooms. She had some idea of how depressed he must feel.
Of course, it wasn't totally up to her to decide what to do.
"Mother!" She was startled to hear her 4-year-old daughter's little voice behind her call, and upon cautiously turning, she saw that it was her.
Olivia yelled, "Ada."
To which she said, "No, mom. The lovely young lady remarked to Olivia, I just wanted to offer you this," as she handed her the brilliant flower petal in her palm. Her little lips and huge eyes smiled brightly.
One of Olivia's favorite qualities about Ada was how much she resembled her. What a shame she isn't a male.
I said, "Did you get this for me?" Smiling, Olivia questioned as she took the leave from her. The way she looked so radiantly lovely when she smiled was deceptive. No one would ever guess that she had even a trace of irritability.
She leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead, her expression expressing her adoration.
"Return to your room and play with your older sibling. I promise to visit you soon! "
Finally, "Mother. Bye". The child squealed with delight and bolted from the room.
As she saw her daughter go, Olivia smiled to herself. She looked down at the leaf for a second before turning back to the window, her thoughts returning to the King. In what direction would they be going?*
He had a long way to go, the King thought. Everything was quiet and peaceful, and it was clear that the other mountain lions were complying with his order for a lockdown. To be honest, he was praying he wouldn't run into anybody.
At last, they arrived at their objective, a bank of the river, and everyone dismounted.
"We have arrived!" The Doctor verified this by attempting to steady his own horse with the rope from the neck collar.
Checking out the woman beside the riverbank, King Spenser saw that she was really who she claimed to be.
She was also wearing the hoodie over her head.
They approached her with him in the front, followed by his gamma and the guard.
The woman remarked to the gamma - Viscar, "You kept me waiting," as she glared at him sternly.
"Apologies for the inconvenience, Sucy. " Viscar gave an answer.
Her focus shifted to the stern King as he approached.
She said, "Greetings, King Spenser," without bending her head.
While witches aren't supposed to give any kind of respect to Alpha Kings in general, she was on his domain, therefore she had to.
To which Spenser replied, "Greetings to you too," he cast a suspicious glance in the other's direction.
She was stunningly beautiful; her little face was perfectly proportioned to her adorable demeanor; her long, black hair flowed freely; and her complexion was radiant.
At least we can agree on one thing about witches: they were much too stunningly attractive and flawless. Unfortunately, the most of them were rather harmful.
Again, Sucy switched her attention to the gamma.
She said Viscar, "You know I don't intend to do this."
I'm just here because you made it seem so urgent, and partly because I owe you a favor: "You know we witches ate banned to have anything to do with your lots."
Believe me when I say how appreciative I am of the effort you're putting out. No need to fear; I won't do anything to get you in trouble. No one will ever find out that you visited Wind Walker Mountain as soon as this is ended. Viscar gave an answer.
"Are you ready? Let's get started.
King Spenser was told to shed his cumbersome garb and assume a position on the edge of the precipice.
A short time ago, he had a plan for freeing himself from the moon goddess's spell. But they required a witch's spell for it to function. A ritual was planned to take place that would cause King Spenser to transform into his wolf form. One of the reasons he ordered the lock down was because he knew this would make him angry, out of control, and destructive.
Because he didn't want to take the lives of any of his pack mates personally.
Because of this, his wolf would become too violent and destructive, too eager for blood. It was inevitable that he would become a predator to anybody he met. Spenser isn't keen about having any of his pack members overhear that conversation. When he was ready to return to his human form, nàked, he didn't want anyone in his pack to see him make the transformation.
His everyday life was being disrupted by the curse from the moon goddess, and he wanted to do something to break It.
Sucy moved into place so that she was squarely behind him. She took a deep breath and stepped toward him, palms outstretched, to begin the spell:
"Acai berry ruouds"
"Thank you for reading my pray and I pray that they bless you. The sweet Sucy needs your help today.... Force him to slack off!!"
A thunderous explosion shook the heavens. As soon as Sucy let out her piercing scream, Spenser felt his bones snap under his weight.
"Urgh.!!!" He cried out in pain and instinctively sought for the ground.
He felt the twisting and cracking, sensations he was accustomed to by now that he shifed more often, but he couldn't place the source of the current intensity.
With a low growl, he tore at what was left of his clothing. His furs sprang all over his body and face, and his claws began to emerge. With his veins more visible, they saw the King make way for his monster wolf, and then immediately take off running into the woods. When can we expect results? Viscar inquired as he craned his neck in a worrying fashion to see where the King had gone.
Sucy said, "Soon."
Ella's pulse was pounding so hard that her hands were trembling as she strolled along the peaceful road.
She's been on the road for a while, but she still hasn't managed to meet anybody.
Due of the eerie silence, she was terrified to travel there alone. She couldn't believe it was the same bustling street she'd heard so much traffic on before. This time, it seemed as if she was passing through a desolate wood.
It's incomprehensible that her own family would treat her this way. Put her in danger of dying by herself? Why??
She hoped not to perish in the process. Knowing that the King had a solid cause for ordering a lockdown made her even more terrified of being discovered.
She approached the cave cautiously and nervously, her hands wrapped about her shoulders. A squeaking noise startled her, but when she looked up she saw that it was simply a bird passing above. Oh! Only the Spirits can keep the bad guys away from her.
As she walked on, the chirpings and squeaking just made her more nervous.
When she saw the cave ahead of her, her eyes welled up with tears. Oh..! Suddenly, she appeared. Yes, she did it!
She shed a tear of relief and started sprinting in its direction. Suddenly, though, she halted when she heard a sound that wasn't made by birds, insects, or any other flying creature.
No.
This, she knew for sure, she thought. It sounded like a howl; a howl that could only have come from a wolf.
Ella felt a tightness in her chest. Her amazement was palpable as she abruptly spun around to have a peek.
Wow, what a yell....
Like only a wolf could howl. A Wolf!!
No ..!
The woman said, "Oh," and cupped her palms to her heart.
She had a nagging feeling that something was about to harm her.
She quickly reversed course and headed back in the direction of the cave.
A second scream sounded, this one stronger, and it caused Ella to grimace. Her anxiety and tension had fused into a one overwhelming emotion, and it was making her pulse race. After this it was undeniable that a wolf was in the area. And why is that, exactly? Where??
Surely there couldn't be no one else defying the King's instructions but her, could there? Why, therefore, would the wolf be howling to draw attention to itself?
Her brow sweated as she made up her mind to ignore the problem and go on into the cave. She was quite anxious and urgently need transportation.
"You'll go home with the leaves safely, and this will never happen again."She said to herself.
When she reached the cave, she saw that the olive leaves were thriving after receiving only a little water. Yes.!
With a deep breath, she pulled up three and turned around to keep sprinting, this time toward home. However, as she turned around, she saw something out of her worst nightmares.
Her pupils widened and glowed with surprise as she peered at the beast before her. A wolf.!!
There, gazing directly at her.
The Wolf in front of her whimpered, its crimson eyes filling Ella with terror.
She backed up, her voice trembling. And like an antelope, she whirled and bolted in the other direction. She was being pursued by the wolf, as shown by its snarl and the rapid movement of its paws.
No.!
Her mouth was gaping as she gasped for air. As the barking and racing paws became closer and louder, a terrified Ella felt something yank her off her feet. "Arghhhh....!"
As she fell heavily, the olive leaves she had been holding flew from her hands, and her scream reverberated through the woods.
She rolled over on the ground and made eye contact with the most terrifying and stunningly gorgeous creature she had ever seen.
Scary because she thought it would eventually kill her and devour her.
As she gazed at it, her whole body shook with an indescribable terror. Its fiery, threatening eyes were fixed on her as it stood quite near. Radiant red.... Within seconds, Ella let out a gasp. A crimson light in the eyes is a sign of an Alpha. Please don't tell me that's true. She recoiled on her haunches, staring at its face the whole while. "Please.." A tear trickled down her face as she sobbed. Ella was too terrified to scream as the wolf let out a resounding growl and bared his sharp teeth. She was sure to die as a result of it...! She looked death in the eye, and it stared back.
"Please..!" Again she moaned and took a few steps backwards while crawling. However, the Wolf advanced until it was so near that it totally engulfed her, rendering her immobile.
To Ella, it was clear that he intended to injure or kill her. To her surprise, she was unable to deduce the reason he hadn't started doing it.
He raised his declaw and gave her arm a painful scratch. The but
She was paralyzed by terror and couldn't even lift the pot's cover.
It resided in one of the vampire community's clutches and held the title of "Most Powerful" among all of them.
Riverlake,
King William, leader of the vampires, sat on his throne, canine fangs sunk deep into the woman's neck as he suckled her and she moaned.
