Rose pov :

Immediately I got down from my car with the uncomfortable dress that I'm currently wearing, I know this won't last that long but I can't wait to take it off.

Lucy held me when I nearly tripped walking into the wedding hall, "Careful Rose you don't want to get yourself hurt, do you ?"

I shook my head and made sure to watch steps this time, " I just can't wait to see his face when I decline him of the word he'd kill to hear from me"

Lucy made a stop with her feet and I turned to know what's wrong, " you know as much as I know he fucked up real time, that I have the urge to call him a bastard"

I nodded, " you just did right now " I said with a funny face what's she getting at.

"Yeah that exactly but.. I do not think this is the best approach, he might slit your throat and call it a mistake you know how brutal he can be"

I narrowed my eye's at her, " you're not losing hope in me, are you Lucy ?"

She shook her head in disagreement, " Of course not, lead the way"

I took one last look at her and turned, " if you're too scared of what he would do or how he would react, you might as well leave now that I haven't done something stupid"

She cackled and hit my shoulder gently but me being the drama queen had to exaggerate it, " ouch that hurt !!".

"Oh shut up, it's not like I hit you that hard, Rose."

I laughed at her joke then stood at the side before I saw my dad from afar, and a smile broke across my face, poor man he would be furious by the end of today though.

Lucy nudged me on my ribs and pointed to the direction I was already looking at, "Your dad just arrived"

"Well if you looked at me properly before you hit my ribs you would notice I already saw him".

"Saying thank you won't get you killed !?".

I just nodded and walked to where my dad was.

When he saw me , a proud smile broke across his face and he hugged me tight.

"Oh my sweet daughter, how have you been, my baby"

I smiled back at him, " I'm okay dad "

He looked at my face and gave me a kiss on my cheeks, Awwn that's sweet I cowed at myself.

I was about to say something before the wedding bell signal rang and I signed out in panic and anger but I hid it well.

" it's okay to be angry you know that right?".

I looked up at Lucy and dashed her a smile that didn't even reach my eye and she looked at me like I was some fragile item.

She always make's sure I'm okay.

My dad took my hands and whispered to me, " I can't believe you're getting married, My baby"

I almost gagged at the word marry but I swallowed down my irritation, " I'm surprised myself dad".

" You've grown so well and so beau-tiful like your mother "

"Of course "

I looked around me while my dad went on and on about the marriage talk that wasn't really going to occur in the first place.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen Jonah here since I came, maybe he's inside already since they already rang the preparation bell, I scoffed at the thought of seeing him standing at the altar with a broad faked smile and waiting for a happily ever after.

Not long after we stood here, a mass server boy approached us and bowed to my father then turned to me, " Are you the bride miss ?"

I flicked my hands in the air, " Well isn't that obvious ?"

Lucy nudged me yet again, while the boy bowed and said, " Forgive my manner's, the bell is going to ring sooner for the bride to walk in"

He announced and left, my dad held my hands immediately in preparation and smoothened his dress.

"You didn't have to take it out on the poor boy"

I ignored her and waited for the bell to ring and just like I thought it did and the door to the venue hissed open and I started hearing the sounds of trumpet that we're meant to make me feel whole or whatever it did.

As I walked up the stage, flashes of the face Rebecca made when she climaxed flashed through my face and I hissed in anger.

I looked up and saw Jonah standing in all his stupid glory, looking Annoyingly Handsome and innocent, I scoffed at him.

My dad helped me climb the stage and I stood facing the priest.

I didn't even bother to spare Jonah a second glance but I could fell him burning holes at the side of my face.

The priest went on with the talks and I just kept a straight face.

" I thought you called the wedding off, seems like you're so desperate for money that you came"

I heard Jonah say and I kept quiet, that would be much better but my lips wasn't having it.

"You should know, I always kept my words Jonah.. you know so little about me."

"I apologized it's not a big deal "

" Tell that to the priest in your next confession then !!".

I think that made him shut up quick on more wrong word from him and I think, I'm going to totally loose it.

The priest did the sign of the cross went on with the question before he asked Jonah first according to the rule of Matrimony.

"Do you Jonah agree to be wedded to your beloveth Rose as your enthroned wife?"

I watched David smirk like he had won a medal, " Yes I do ".

Then thRose Pov :

I closed my eyes and breathed in trying my very best to not say something that would make them throw me, out of anger.

"Rebecca I am asking you nicely to please move, I have a business to take care of."

I said glaring back at her so not cute green orb eye.

I swear if she wasn't such a whore and kind of gave herself a little bit of self respect, I would pass her as the same level as a model but nope she has to go meet a psychopath like Jonah, now her life is so messed up without her knowing.

"And if I don't move, mind you I also work here and I reserve much right to ... "

"Let her pass through" A voice immediately interrupted her blabbing and trust me when I say I've never been so grateful to hear Jonah's voice.

Rebecca smirk died down immediately and she turned to Jonah with a might I add fake frown, " uh... Jonah but she ... "

Jonah held his hands up in a way to to say, I already said what I said.

she muttered a curse under her breath quite audible enough to hear and She grumble turned to leave but not after purposely bumping into my shoulders while walking off.

I shook my head as her figure disappeared down the hall, she just doesn't know what she signed up for yet by the time she realized, she would be far gone.

I winced in pain but held myself together as I looked back to Jonah, who had his jerk smile back.

I felt the urge to roll my eyes but decided against it, he thinks he's cute or something.

I could pass him for a joker though, he looked like one right now.

He didn't say anything but motioned to his office door while holding it open, " Shall we ?"

I nodded and started walking right into the lion's den, My heartbeat already skyrocketed like crazy and my breathing... God I'm trying my best but my knees were visible shaking.

Not out of impact for fear but for my stupidity, if Lucy knew what I actually came here for, I won't hear the end of it.

Jonah sat on his desk and motioned to the seat next to it that was facing him but in an office setting way.

immediately I sat down and took a deep breath, I got my mind prepared for whatever it was that Jonah had up his sleeve, here we go.

Before I could even think of talking Jonah already started, " What are you here for exactly... The least you could do was book an appointment and not be a nuisance to yourself like back there "

I raised a brow at what he said, he must have noticed the surprise face, I had on before he smirked and I knew what ever came next I wouldn't like it.

"What ?, That wasn't what you wanted to hear from me , you expected me to sugarcoat my words ?!" he spat the words at me triggering a reaction.

But I swallowed down the harsh words that was threatening to spill out from my mouth as I knew who I was, I would definitely pour everything I built inside me out and still be flat on the losing end.

"I'm sorry for not booking an appointment" I whispered while grasping the chair hard refraining myself.

My voice must have caught him off guard 'cause he raised a brow at me and I continued.

" I'm just... Jonah you cut off my bank." I said carefully staring at him and he looked like he was enjoying my sorrow.

He should wait till I get my shit back, " Hmm I'm aware of that and I also made a call across all company around the state's not to take you in, I'm sure you've heard of it, sounds fun right ?"

I looked at him in disbelief, " Jonah you didn't have to do all that, now I don't have a job ... how the fuck do you want me to survive"

"ha ha ha ... " I watched as he started laughing like a maniac, what the heck is funny.

he held his hand up, " Sorry my bad, I mean you could start up your own business and it's not like I won't behead any customer that comes in."

I rubbed my nose as I felt it scrunching up, I can't show him how much hatred I have built up with in these past few days for him.

He clicked his tongue and swriled around on his seat then got off and came to stand in front of me, I was already looking at him with the little useless hope I could muster.

Hoping he would somehow take his words back but the that left his mouth next made me to lose every single shit I had together in me.

I strengthened on my seat anticipating to hear something marvelous but I think Lucifer has other's.

He lowered his voice and stared at me right straight to my eye, " Have sex with me, one last time."

My face dropped immediately I heard that, I felt the urge to gag but I couldn't.

I looked him dead in the eye not sure that I heard those words from him correctly, it seemed like I was hallucinating.

That seemed to have boost his moral cause he stood up and walked closer to me, his nose almost brushing my nose.

" I said that I wasn't us to... " I couldn't wait for him to finish and my hands hit his cheeks immediately with a loud echoing sound, Smack !!.

His eye widened like he was surprised that I had the guts to hit him, when he thought he had the upper hand.

His darkened and he titled his head staring right at me, " I've always loved fiesty women."

e priest turned to me and went on to say the same thing, " Do you Rose take Jonah as your beloveth and your enthroned Husband "

I bit into my cheeks and got myself prepared for the ill I'm about to commit everywhere went silent and I moved my lips and said the words I do dearly wanted to say out loud.

" No, I don't !?".

Rose pov :

I heard something fall off when the words left my lips.

Jonah growled at me, " Don't . You . Dare, do this to me"

I turned to him with a smirk and whispered to only his hearing, " Well news flash, I just did it"

" Rose I swear I would.."

"Are you threatening me in front of a priest, he closed his lips immediately but was still shooting daggers at me, he couldn't do shit in public.

The priest who was still wide eyed looked at me with surprise, " You have to give a reason for objecting"

"This good for nothing demon in a human cloth cheated on me a night just before my wedding"

I heard gasp and I nodded, yeah that more like it.

Jonah clutched his jaw and I watched as he held his hands in a fist restricting himself from murdering me.

I walked closer to him and whispered, " I told you Jonah, you think so lowly of me"

With that I threw my flower to his chest and took the veil off my hair and turned to leave the hall.

"I swear I would get back to you for this in a hundred folds" Jonah said gritting his teeth at me, I'm sure Rebecca is having a blast right now.

" My darling, I'd love to watch you try" I left the hall and went outside and the cool fresh air.

I breathed out and ran my hands through my hair, I did put on a show but I need to be alert that man at that alter is very dangerous.

"You must fell very proud of yourself, I assume"

I heard from my back and I turned sharply to see Rebecca standing with eyes blazing down at me with fury.

"Of course, I mean I'm not a stuck up bitch like you "

She scoffed at my words and folded her hands, " What you did back there was not necessary.."

I snorted at her foolishness, " Of course he would send his mistress to come lecture me, that's so low of him.. don't you think"

That seemed to have hit a nerve 'cause she clutched her teeth refraining herself from doing something, obviously stupid than she's already doing now.

" Don't you dare think ill of Jonah, I don't even know what he see's in you to start with "

"Let me think something you don't have ??".

Just as the word got out something hard hity cheeks and I winced, wait did she just..

I hit my hands right back at her cheeks, " You don't have the right to hit me, you hands disgust me!!".

She made to drag my hair, " Don't you dare lay your filthy disgusting and unpure hands on my friend "

I heard Lucy say and a smile broke through my face seems like someone is more irritated of her hands.

"And who are you her maid ??".

I watched Lucy face turned different shades of red and she ventured towards Rebecca, oh oh..

I grabbed her by her elbow and stopped her from going further, " Lucy I think that's okay"

She was still wriggling herself out of my reach before Rebecca did her a once over, scoffed and then left.

Jeez, this bitch better thank her gods I held Lucy back she could have been a dead meat.

When I was sure she already walked far I let go of Lucy who hissed at me and stretched up her already wrinkled clothes because of how hard I was holding her.

She pointed a finger at me in anger, "Don't ever do that, it was my one chance to finish her off "

"I'm sure you already prepared a grave for her but that would be too much of a work for me I'm too exhausted to carry a corpse right now"

"Are you alright, did she hurt you .. your cheeks looks red"

"Yeah just a slap across the cheeks "

That made Lucy eye shoot up immediately, " And did you slap her back"

I raised my shoulders, " Of course I did, what do you take me for".

She shrugged and sat at the bench next to her with a sigh, "A softie perhaps, she can slap you and you'd still say thank you that's how stupid you can be, where's your dad by the way"

"He might still be inside and too shocked to move yet, I would give him time and talk to him when things cool down".

Lucy nodded at what I said and looked at me weirdly.

"It's not like I'm being too careful or trying to hurt your pride but you do know we fucked up big time and your now ex-fiance would get back at us "

"Yeah and I'm ready for him"

"I hope so because I can't be jobless because you are snot strong enough to fight him back"

Then suddenly I watched as Lucy eye's averted behind me and I narrowed my eye's at her.

"Everything alright ladies..?"

I scoffed at the voice I heard, the people here are such perverts that they can't even let me take off my gown before making a Move.

I just ignored it before Lucy mouthed audible, " You might want to take a look"

I rolled my eyes and turned to know who it was and my eyes widened when I saw who was actually talking to me, what the fuck was Mr. Handsome doing here.

Rose pov :

His brows furrowed when he stared at me like he knew me from somewhere, and he made to say something but Lucy.

Bless her sweet Soul grabbed my hands and stood up which made him to divert his gaze to her.

"My name is Lucy and my friend here is Rose" she said extending her hands to Mr. gentleman who just dashed a smile her way but reluctantly shook her hands while I just stood there gripping tightly to my cloth.

God... this is so embarrassing, I practically threw myself at this man that night because I was tipsy and he looked undeniablely delicious... I don't think I've learnt my lesson yet.

Lucy must have sensed the tension so she just cleared her throat and sat back down.

Mr. Gentleman stuffed his hands back into his pocket and straightened.

"Well since you're safe, I think it's time I leave... just saw the commotion over there and decided to say hi ."

Lucy still being oblivious smiled back at him, " Sure, were fine just a little... yeah "

He bowed his head then turned and left.

I suddenly breathed out, I didn't even know I was holding in my breath till he left.

I slowly sat down but could still feel Lucy eye's boring into me, god can today get any better.

"Lucy you're staring too much, I could literally feel your eye balls from here"

"Well it isn't guilt that made you talk right... do you know that man from any where ?"

I shook my head and stood up heading for my car but my gown suddenly got stuck and I turned to see Lucy stepping on it.

One false move and I'd practically be naked here.

I groaned and sat back down, " Just say it already "

"Do you know him..."

I sighed then rubbed my forehead, " Look, I just met him one time okay... and you know "

She stared at me with a furrowed brow, " Nope I do not know ... tell me what happened "

I rubbed my neck feeling unknown heat creep up my throat.

I stopped her before she could stand up, " I kissed him okay, at a bar... a mafia bar actually "

Lucy eye shot wide open as she stared at me with obvious shock, " You kissed someone at a mafia bar !?".

I shrugged my shoulders, " I mean um... yeah, you know I kind of got drunk"

Lucy stood up and walked a distance then back at me, " you can't even manage one drink Rose, what were you thinking..."

I felt defeated when she said that, " I know I'm irresponsible but that was when I found out that Jonah cheated on me... I wasn't thinking straight so I just..."

"Hey... it's okay, you don't have to tell me yeah" she said tapping my back but flashes of what happened that night came to me again and I started crying my eye's out.

I nodded and wiped my face while sniffing in my nose so as to not make a mess of my face also.

" Are you ready to leave yet, the reception is almost empty and there is no sign that Jonah would want to confront you... your dad must have left immediately "

I stood up grabbing the fabric's that was spilled out everywhere, and Lucy helped me grab the other end so nobody would step on me as we walked up to the car.

She opened the passenger sit for me and I sat down while muttering a thank you as the door went shut.

She quickly got to the driver side started the car and we left my supposed reception venue.

Out of instinct I looked around and my eyes caught that of Mr . Gentleman which made to look away.

"Do you want to go grab something to eat first before we head home"

I shook my head as I looked down at the weight I was carrying, this cloth is really expensive but another hour with it felt like torture.

"No, I think I'm going to grab mine after I change out of these... it's so uncomfortable "

She looked at me and sighed, " Sorry, I forgot you were still in those..."

"So from the rate of 1 - 10, how are you feeling right now after what happened today "

I smacked my lips as we turned into our building complex, " uh.. 4"

Lucy nodded and unbuckled her seatbelt, " that's just perfect at least you're not... depressed "

I laughed at her new change of tune, " What the heck is wrong with you... I didn't even get married it's not a divorce so tune your lawyer mode down"

She smiled and got down ready to dash into the house, while I was struggling to get off the car with all the weight of this dress.

"You won't break a bone, if you helped a friend in need here" I shouted as Lucy made to open the door and dump me here to kill myself.

She turned to me and sighed but walked back to me though, that why I like her ... always considerate.

"Remind me not to support you on a wedding ceremony again... I know everything worked out fine" she said as she helped me down and we started walking into the house.

"But there would be rumours around town ..." she said as she closed the door.

I turned to her as I slumped right into the couch practically throwing the hills I had on to God knows where.

" Rumour... I don't care about rumours I can deal with it"

She shook her head then grab two bottles of water and threw one to me while I muttered a little "thank you."

"You don't understand what I'm saying Rose, these people would eat you alive... most of them are your ex - fiance's fan, most girls would die to be in your position and you fucked it up according to them..."

She sat down beside me, " Let's take Rebecca for example, you saw how aggressive she was... I could have finished her off if you didn't hold me back..."

I nodded and took a sip of my water without thinking much of what she was saying, " I'm aware of that ?"

"So what I'm trying to say is that if they bring trouble you give them double, don't feel intimidated, it's your right ... Jonah was the one that fucked up, so he should suck it up and deal with the consequences though I even doubt he would feel anything "

I laughed when I remembered how his face looked when he saw me come up the podium for our marriage oath and how he was carrying himself like he had won a treasure.

"He thinks I was after his money "

Lucy looked at me with a bored expression, , " Well it's not like we are not after his money though, he's not a plank but a cheating ass that's the least he could offer"

I snorted at what she said and stood up to go change my clothes so we could go grab food already.

We entered the car and drove to the closest restaurant because I was .. starving big time.

We walked in, the waiter there smiled at us and directed us where to sit.

Immediately I sat down I took up the menu and went through it quietly.

"What are you going to order ?"

I looked through the menu once more and answered Lucy, " I'm taking the spaghetti and suace... you ?"

She looked at the menu like what she want wasn't there and looked back at me, " I'm going to order some fries and chicken wings "

I raised my brow at her, " That's not food, get something else... don't worry I'm paying "

She smiled at me and just in time the waiter came and we have out our order.

Five minutes after with me and Lucy talking rubbish, the food came.

The way I pounced on it, if the food knew how to talk it would definitely sue me but I was too hungry to stop and the food is Soo... good man.

Thirty minutes in, I was already done and the waiter came to clear the table and dropping some table water, they kind of forgot to drop it before the food.

I grabbed mine and chucked it down.

"Take it easy so your food doesn't chock you, Jesus..."

I smiled while wiping my lips, " I don't know I just felt hungry, so are you..."

I paused when the bills board came, I gave him my card and turned back to Lucy.

"I feel so free right now"

"So you were not feeling free before... wait so you've been feeling stuck up and you didn't..."

Lucy was interrupted when the waiter came back with my card and I took it muttering a small thank you but he still stood there.

I turned to him, " umm, do you need something..."

He nodded then lowered his voice so the people behind us won't hear what he wanted to say, " I'm sorry miss but your card declined .."

I released a low laugh when I saw how he was shaking maybe he was new here, " It might be glinch or your machine okay, you can check it again "

He nodded and went off to grab his machine while I waited, he handed it to me and I swiped my card but paused when I saw "Error Insufficient balance !?".

I laughed it off and looked at Lucy who just shrugged, she didn't understand what was going on yet.

I shook my head and waved off the thought that Jonah must have deactivated my account, he was the one that personally went to the bank and opened the account for me so he knows everything.

And it's kind of very muchly impossible that my account that had over a million bucks suddenly couldn't pay for a meal ?.

I breathed out and looked at the boy who was staring back at me confused as hell.

God please don't let this embarrassment come through, I am so done for.. and to think I encouraged Lucy to take an expensive meal, she is going to eat me alive.

I swiped my card again and it still showed the insufficient funds, I felt hot trinkles of heat dripping down my face that was when Lucy sat up and looked over at the machine then at me.

"What's wrong, you look beaten..."

I turned it to her and she saw the words written on it before she brought out her card, I wanted to tell her to not worry that I can sort it out.

But when she shot me a glare I kept quiet and handed the machine to her.

She swiped the card once and the transaction went through.

I opened my purse and brought out the little cash I had to tip the boy, I already wasted enough of his time.

He thanked me and left, I sat properly taking sips of my water dreading to look at Lucy, I would never hear the end of today.

"I hope your eyes somehow, get stuck up where you're looking..."

I laughed and looked at her, " I'm sorry I swear I had enough funds there, I didn't know what the heck happened "

Lucy nodded then stood up which told me it was our queue to leave, " When you get home, you call your bank since it's still within the time range of twenty - four hours"

When we got home I hurriedly room off my shoes and grabbed my phone, I can waste time in other things but not my money... I worked hard for them.

The line picked up after three rings and I sighed on relief, " Hello this is Arena bank speaking..."

"Yeah, good day... I had complications with my bank earlier today"

I heard keyboard sounds before the person muttered a little okay, " So your name "

"Its Rose... Rose McGowan"

"Okay give me a minute" it took some time in the other line and a lot of keyboard sounds before the person sighed.

"Ma'am I'm sorry but you'd have to come in person for this situation...have a nice day"

And just like that the line went cut ...that is rude, friendly bank my ass.
