Chapter 1

Must I have a personal maid?" I shouted at the head maid.

Every time she comes to me with this request, I always get so vexed.

Introducing myself: I'm Anna, the future Alpha of the Diamond Pack. I'm said to be the most beautiful in our pack, and even only a few can compete with my beauty outside the pack, but I don't believe any of that saying because I am too unlucy.

Not with money or power, but with men, and as beautiful as I am said to be, I have already been rejected by my three fiances.

Although I tried my best to hide the pain from everyone, I'm just deceiving myself because the pain is there and very vivid. It would visit me from time to time, especially when I see people who have healthy relationships.

My first fiance had an affair with my half-sister, and he told me bluntly that he didn't want me, and my half-sister laughed out loud at me.

Well, I found another fiance, but he too made it clear to me that I'm not his taste.

Wouldn't you have thought that his taste would be some drop-dead gorgeous lady with royal charisma? But his taste was that of my personal maid. My personal maid, Eva.

Nothing is as humiliating as that.

Well, with these two bad experiences, I never gave up on love. I still have another

I'm a fool, right?

Yes, but I still want to experience the beauty and feeling of having someone who cares about you the most in the whole world.

This third was the worst of all three.

He is the grandson of the Blue Moon Pack, from which my second fiancé came. His family gave him compensation because of what his uncle did to me.

Although I haven't met him, I heard that he has a beloved concubine that he loves so much. I don't know why everything that seems to be mine will always be owned by others. This time, he didn't even bother to see me before rejecting me.

Finally, I gave up!

Maybe I've wronged a man in my past life, so not getting one here is my punishment. I won't fight it. Now my plan is to grow old all by myself.

"Alpha, you can't go to such a party without a maid to attend to you," the head maid said as if she wanted to cry.

She knew how stubborn I am, and I don't know why she is trying so hard when she knows she can't win.

"Why? What good will the maid do me? It's not as if I can't take care of myself," I said with a very blank voice.

"Alpha, you will be belittled by others if you go alone," she said to me.

What she said was totally true, and I didn't dispute the fact. This party is one that a lot of renowned people will come to. It's the 70th birthday of the richest tycoon in the whole of our region, and none can afford to behave little.

Even my going is just to honor the invitation of the old man. He knows me, and he treats me like his daughter, so I can't miss it.

"Anna, don't care," I snapped.

I know I'm frustrating the poor old woman, but I'm so done with maids. I dressed myself up and went to the party alone, ignoring the head maid's plea.

I got to the party, and when I entered, I didn't expect that I would see such a crowd inside, and immediately I walked in, and every one of their eyes turned to me.

Damn!

Every eye looking at me was like an arrow. Somewhere, whispering to each other. The unmated males in there—I know the look they had on their faces. It's a look I do receive when I'm with a man. It's all lust for my body, but then that didn't get me a fiance, so it didn't get me excited.

I ignored the looks of the ladies; it's all envy. I'm beautiful, and I could as well walk in the confidence of it.

I flaunt my blonde, putting the left part behind my back and letting the right side fall down to my face. I balanced well on my heels and walked majestically into the hall.

"Such a show-off!" A female said as I passed by.

Many had spoken of my beauty and how the moon goddess had made me as perfect as she is. I would have said it's all a lie, but then the expression I get from people anytime I get to their mist wouldn't let me deny that I'm quite capturing, and I'm still getting the same expression now.

A guy double-crossed me as I was going to find somewhere to stay.

"Hey, damsel," he said with a smile.

I flashed him a forceful smile and wanted to bypass him, but he wouldn't let me.

"Hey beauty, I can't help but be caught in the hole of your mesmerizing beauty," he said with a saccharine smile.

I rolled my eyes at him. He's definitely a playboy.

"Do that again," he said with excitement.

Just as I wanted to talk, I saw Arabella approaching me.

Herself, her three friends, and their maids. All behaving like they are some royalty of an empire. I wondered what the exaggeration of bringing so many maids to a party meant. They all looked like wannabe females.

"Look who we have here," Arabella said with a disdainful, wide smile.

"Hi Arabella," I greeted.

Scrutinizing me with a slight disgust, I didn't know what she wanted this time.

Arabella and I used to be good friends when we were pups, but suddenly a drastic change came when we shifted, and I became an Alpha wolf and she was a Beta. Ever since, she has never seen anything good about me. I had tried to fix it, but I failed. So I let her do as she wills.

She pushed the guy beside me aside and checked me all around like I'm some survey item.

The guy looked at me, wondering why that happened.

"Sis, I had thought you would stay indoors for the rest of your life."

She was arranging herself as if she's trying to show me that she's better than I am after her survey.

I rolled my eyes but said nothing.

I didn't want us to start a family feud here.

"Well, I won't blame you if you decide to hide like a scared rat. It's just too unlucky for a shewolf like you to get rejected by three fiances. Alpha, for that matter. It's so pathetic, and I really pity you, Alpha sister."

She made her face as if she wanted to cry, but her heavy hint of disdain wasn't hidden at all. She was intentionally mentioning my title so that it would spite me more.

Her friends burst into laughter at the way she mocked her pitiful face, but the look I sent them got them swallowing it.

Whisperings rose in the building, and many were secretly laughing at me. They might not be saying it clearly, but I heard what most of them said about me. They were really mocking my rank and my beauty. They felt I'd be useless without a mate or a man.

Some even said it was because I carry a curse that those men avoided me. I decided to leave, but Arabella, being who she is, is too troublesome to let me leave.

"Don't be so mean to me, sister. It's not my fault that you are a loser, and no man wants to be with you despite your fine looks."

The way she spoke made the whole room quiet down, except for the slow music that was playing in the background.

I stiffened and bit my lower lip as I stopped. I know I had tried enough to avoid conflict here, but Arabella left me no choice.

Just as I turned to give her a piece of my mind, the opening of the large door interrupted me.

It revealed a very attractive, giant-looking man. He has short, black, shining hair. The light was beaming at the hair as if he had added a whole jar of pomade to it. Not even a strand was out of its place.

I didn't fail to notice the emerald eyeballs, which were bright in their own glory. Looking down, I met with well-defined cheekbones, which were carried by a concrete jaw.

"Goodness! He was so dishy.

His shoulders were standing like those of a Greek god. It's like his virility came to press a pause on everyone's brain.

Even the earlier sole attraction couldn't help but join in this looking contest. It was unlike me, but I couldn't help it. This man's aura was so captivating that no matter how I tried, I couldn't help but get mesmerized by him.

Every system in my body was so paralyzed that I couldn't stop staring at the man.

Everyone was stunned by his look. No wonder even the atmosphere seemed to turn magical when he appeared. Looking at him, it was as if he appeared from the sky, and his skin was covered with the glow of the morning sun.

His steps moved like those of a leopard, so confident and full of himself.

Comments about him started to fly all around. Different kinds of thoughts from equally mesmerized people.

I looked at my body and discovered that there were goosebumps all over me. This is not me. I know how to comport myself well.

Looking at the drastic change in surprise, I didn't fail to notice that some females were almost swooning while those not swooning were already dripping with drools.

Then, all of a sudden, our eyes met.

Damn!

My heart almost jumped out of its place. Now it's pounding so loudly that I know if someone were beside me, they would have heard it.

I saw him widen his look as he saw me, and his foot step paused. It was as if he saw a ghost because he paled out.

Was I that appalling? He went pale when he saw me.

With embarrassment in my eyes, I checked myself briefly before looking back at him. I couldn't help but wonder what the heck was going on.

Before I could finish thinking, this extremely dashing man walked towards me, one step after another.

He was looking directly at me, and the expression on his face confused me. With his raised brows, I know that he was surprised, but then a little smile played on his lips, like he was kind of excited.

His look didn't leave my eyes. I could feel his fervor from the way he walked to me, and it gave me a thrilling shiver.

Before I could know what was going on, he walked briskly to me, and in no time, he was close to me. The shocking thing was that he pulled me into his arms and hugged me tightly.

I was so dumbfounded that all I could do was widen my eyes. His body touching mine made my body tingle in some kind of sweet way. Normal me would have pushed him away, but then I was just too dull to do anything.

"I can't believe this is you," his melodious, thick voice whispered into my ear.

I felt like crying. Why is everything about this unknown guy appealing to me?

"You......"

........ He kissed me...

It was as if a thunderbolt ran through my body as his soft lips glided on mine slowly. It shook me so violently that I had to hold him because I don't trust my legs well enough to hold me anymore.

This isn’t right. I couldn't even control myself anymore. I was so afraid of these feelings, but I still couldn't resist them.

Opening my mouth slightly to catch a breath, his wet tongue slipped into my mouth and shocked me more at its taste. The sweetness was so natural, making him taste like fresh spring water. I became more tasty.

Before I closed my eyes to totally receive a stranger into my mouth, I saw Arabella's pained look. Jealousy was flowing from her head to her feet. I'm sure she wasn't the only jealous one. All unmated females were.

But soon I was distracted; he took my breath away, and all I could do was hold my arms around his neck and fall with him in this pleasurable moment.

I didn't know how long it took, but I'm sure it took about two minutes for us to separate. I looked at the man and flushed when I finally reacted.

Then he took my hands and dragged me out of the room. I didn’t resist because I wanted to know what he was going to do.

Chapter 2

I didn't want to believe it at first, but the more I see, the more I know I wasn't daydreaming or hallucinating. My body system was as if a reckless driver were driving through it. I wasn't there anymore.

Is it that she has a twin sister?

She can't be alive. I saw her jump into the sea with my eyes. I saw her die.

Even if there were a reincarnation, she wouldn't have grown so well in such a short period of time. It was never her, but then my heart was so drawn to her.

I wanted to go confirm if I'm not truly hallucinating. So I walked to her in calculated steps, ignoring those that were almost touching me.

My heart was beating very fast as I watched that beautiful woman standing there. She was also looking at me.

My heart was leaping; I didn't know whether it was for the surprise of me seeing the dead or because of me seeing her. I just knew my body was excited.

I stood before her, looking at her beautiful, shocked face, and I pulled her to myself and hugged her tight.

My heart rolled because I missed this woman so much that I couldn't help myself.

"I can't believe this is you," I found myself saying.

I know I must be crazy right now, but every feeling she was calling out was the exact same as how I felt when I was with her years ago.

Before I could control myself, I kissed her right on the lips.

The woman stiffened in my arms, and I could hear her heartbeat synchronizing with mine.

I was supposed to have grabbed an air and knew that I was truly hallucinating, but to my shock, I was holding a person who has a heartbeat, and worse, we are even kissing.

That soft lip set me on a volcanic fire. I was damn shocked to move. I was expecting her to push me away because she is real, but she wrapped her arms around me and opened her mouth for me to penetrate. I unconsciously deepened the kiss, and I enjoy its sweetness.

Did she really not die?

This thought made me break the kiss and drag her away from the party.

I was oblivious to everything around me. All I want to know is who this lady really is. She was bringing out the feelings that I always had with my woman. A feeling that no one can bring out.

I was so restless, anxious, and agitated—any feeling you can attribute to someone who just saw a dead one come alive.

Surprisingly, she obediently followed me. She didn't even struggle, even when I was dragging her into the woods.

When I got to a place, I was sure no one would disturb us. I stopped and hugged her tightly again.

As I did this, she didn't say a single word, nor did she give an attitude that told me she was uncomfortable.

"Angel," I said, with emotions flowing out of me.

This was when she reacted. She stiffened in my arms.

ANNA

His kiss had drugged me so senseless that I'm not sure if I still have the ability to speak or if I'm in the world anymore.

This unknown guy broke the kiss and then dragged me away from the party, and silly me, I didn't object as if I were a dummy.

When he finally stopped, we were in the woods. He then hugged me tightly.

His body was so warm that it gave me some sense of protection. His smell wasn't helping matters either. It was so sweet to my nose that I felt like eating him up.

The way inviting this strange man is to me gave me hope that not all men hate me. At least I can still attract this very gorgeous one. I was sure none of my three fiances were as gorgeous as this one, who hugged me like his life depended on it.

"Don't be silly, Anna. He is only protecting you from that bully of a half sister that you have."

My wolf scolded me when she saw that my thoughts were already going to the extreme. What she said wasn't a lie. Neither of us knew each other, and we are already acting like lovers. Isn't that a mirage in the desert? He was just being protective because he thought I was weak.

"I don't mind. At least a male wants to protect me," I said to my wolf.

I was still enjoying myself when he said something that shattered my hope.

"Angel."

This was when I realized that I'd just built a castle in the air.

No male wants me!

This male just mistook me for another female, and it was painful for me.

I wouldn't mind if he had told me that all he did earlier was act. In fact, I was already preparing to make him mine, but mistaking me for another female is another thing entirely.

I moved, and I made him release me. I looked at his handsome face sadly, and he looked back at me. I couldn't diversify the emotion in his eyes, whether it was happiness or sadness.

He then gently touched my cheek as if he needed to be sure I'm there.

"Angel..." He called me.

"Sorry to disappoint you, Mister; I'm not Angel." I said it firmly.

I then started to leave, but stopped when I remembered that he had helped me. Even though his help was meant for another, I still didn't want to be ungrateful.

"Anyways, thanks for what you did, even though she did it to the wrong person."

With that, I left him standing there, stunned. I pity him, but unfortunately, there's nothing I can do.

Unlucky me will always be unlucky. I got lost in the woods. I didn't even know how we got here because I stupidly followed him like a blind man.

I hit myself with my stupidity. I didn't stop, nor did I return. I didn't want to see that tempting man again. I just know that I will definitely get to a place where I can see people and ask for directions.

And truly, soon I saw someone coming my way, but it was the least person I ever expected to meet. She's one of the reasons I'm like this right now.

She also saw me and stopped. We looked at each other.

She's none other than my personal maid, who betrayed me. The one who married my second fiance.

I couldn't help but remember how we met!

"Let her go!" I shouted.

I was just walking around the pack's border when I saw some patrols maltreating a female. This got me irritated because I hate when people are maltreated, no matter who they are.

No one needs to tell me that the female is a rogue. I can smell it on her, but to me, not all rogues are harmful. My thoughts, though. Not even this one, which is looking pale and gaunt.

Being an Alpha, those males can't disobey me, but I could see dissatisfaction on their faces.

"Alpha, she's a rogue, and she trespassed into our territory," one of the patrolmen said to me.

"I know," I said blankly.

They were surprised at how I'm taking a matter of a rogue with levity. I'm supposed to make them kill her or even drag her to the dungeon to question her, but I did none of that because my instincts told me that she was harmless.

I moved closer to her.

"What's your name?" I asked her.

She looked up at me timidly, tears in her eyes.

"Please don't kill me. I'm not a rogue; I'm just a lone wolf," she said, crying.

"What's the difference? one if the patrol snapped.

I glared at him, and he bowed.

"Don't worry, I won't harm you," I said softly.

That was how I saved her that day. I got to know that she bears Eva. Many people bullied her, but I was always there to scold them for her.

Well, Eva too is a good person, and we both, like sisters, go through thick and thin together until she decides to betray me.

I had thought that my second fiancé was really into me because he visits me a lot. I didn't know that I was only making fun of myself. He wasn't coming for me, but for Eva. This Eva knew but wouldn't tell me.

The most painful part is that she still kept encouraging me that he would surely be mine.

I wouldn't have found out if I hadn't gone to Eva's room unannounced, and I saw the two kissing as if they would win a trophy from it.

My second fiancé then said I'm not his taste. Can you imagine that humiliation?

Ever since then, I've been angry with Eva for lying to me.

I was trying to forget all these things, but seeing her now brought back all the sad memories.

"Alpha," Eva called slowly, as if she wasn't sure it was me.

Eva is my past, so I didn't want to see her, and I started to leave, but she stopped me by holding my hand.

"Please, Alpha, hear me out for the sake of old days," she said with a sad voice.

I looked at the hand that she held and wanted to throw it away, but I also wanted to hear her explanation.

"I really didn't mean to betray you. What happened was a mistake," she said with a pleading voice.

I could see guilt in her eyes, but I was too angry to care.

"Is it the betrayal of snatching my fiance or the one of making me believe that he loved me when you truly know that you own him? Which exactly are you talking about?" I asked her harshly.

Eva bowed her head, but hearing her sniffing, I knew she was crying. The more she cried, the more angry I got.

"I took you like a sister, Eva. I didn't know that you would do that to me," I spitted out.

Eva went on her knees.

"I couldn't bring myself to tell you that your second fiance is all over me. I know how sad you were when your first left you."

"I don't need your pity, but your honesty!" I shouted at her.

Eva shook her head as if to tell me that she wasn't pitying me.

"I didn't tell you because I thought he was only playing around with me and would come to like you if you two spent more time together. I didn't know he would be so bold enough to come to my room and kiss me," she rushed out.

I chuckled at her words. Well, Eva had never lied to me, but I was so reluctant to believe her words.

"Do you think me a fool? I wasn't blind to see that you kissed him back too. It's possible that you were the one who went to seduce him."

My look and voice were stern, and I was also trying to believe what I just said.

Eva shook her head severally.

"I know I made the mistake of falling in love with him, but believe me, I didn't mean to betray you. You are my savior," she said with a pained look.

As I wanted to talk, I saw a very cute boy approaching us. Not until the boy appeared, I didn't know that I wasn't in the woods anymore.

I noticed that when the boy saw me, he halted his footsteps and stood there looking at me. He didn't say anything but he squinted his face as slightly. It was like he has something on his mind.

What could this little one be thinking just after seeing me?

I'm sure it's not as if the little pup was also attracted to me again. Then I will know that my so-called beauty is truly a curse.

He is a chubby, cute pup who has dark hair and eyes that shine like a pebble washed in a deep ocean. He was quite tall for his age, judging by his cute baby look. Even though he was looking deep in thought, happiness was still hovering around him. He is such an attractive-looking boy. No one wouldn't want such.

Looking at his blazer and pants, he is not a commoner. His parents must be rich.

But then something looked very familiar about him, and I couldn't tell whether I had seen him before now.

"Mommy?" He called like he wanted to be sure of himself.

That voice gave me a tight pull in my heart. My body became still, and I watched the boy forget about Eva, who was on her knees.

He moved closer to me and called "mommy" again. This time, he was more confident.

Right now, I don't know what is going on.

Did this cute little boy mistake me for his mommy?

Chapter 3

I was so dumbfounded when this cute boy called me mommy, and I felt it move my heart. I've never been married; talk more about me giving birth to a child. Is life playing a joke on me?

First, it was a very handsome guy who took me for another woman, and now it's this boy who mistook me for his mommy.

I looked at the boy and felt like pulling him to me and hugging him. There is this feeling I have that I can't even explain.

I gave the boy, who was looking at me, a sweet smile.

"Looking for your mommy?" I asked him gently.

"You are my mommy," he replied directly.

I smiled confusedly.

"Do I look like your mummy?"

He nodded happily.

"You are exactly the paintings my daddy has all over the house, and he told me that she is my mommy," he replied.

The boy looked so sure of what he was saying.

Then I began to wonder who exactly this woman who looked like me was. I've always heard that people do look alike, but experiencing it now looks quite absurd.

"My dear, everyone looks alike. I might just be your mommy's lookalike," I said to the boy.

I don't know if he will understand what I'm saying, but I still have to tell him.

The boy looked at me for a while and shook his head.

"My daddy told me that when I see my mommy, I will recognize her, and seeing you, I know you are my mommy," he said.

His looks showed me that he wasn't ready to back down at all, and every time he mentioned the word mommy, my heart couldn't help but move. I wish I could just tell him that I'm his mom.

Or did I give birth to a past life that came to look for me in this present life?

It was silly of me to think like that, but I couldn't help the feeling building inside me. I feel like a mother.

"My daddy and I miss you so much. There is no day my daddy won't talk about you. Sometimes he would even cry secretly," the little pup blabbered on.

I was tongue-tied because I didn't know what to say.

"I have a lot of gifts to give you. Every one of my birthdays, I always prepare a gift to give Mommy. We even eat Mommy's favorite dishes. I miss you so much, mommy."

I ran out of patience, and I didn't even know how to convince this little pup that I'm not his mommy. Everything I was saying seemed to be falling into the pup's deaf ears.

I looked at Eva, who was still on her knees. She was the reason this little pup met me here.

Seeing that I looked at her, she continued to plead.

"Please forgive me. I didn't mean it," she said.

The pup looked at her and then frowned.

"Mommy, what did she do?" He asked with a childish voice.

I was tired of hearing that word, mommy. It's very tempting and saddening. I would have had a son who would call me mommy if any of my fiancees had not rejected me.

"Eva, I've forgiven you. It's all past," I said to her.

All I wanted was to escape from this little boy, who suddenly wouldn't let me be because he thinks I'm his lost mommy.

"Are you for real?" Eva asked me with a suspicious look.

I know that with the way I was behaving, my acceptance was too soon.

"What has been done has been done, Eva. I don't care anymore," I said quickly.

"Thank you so much, Alpha. Thank you so much," Eva said happily. "Now I could forgive myself," she added.

"And you shouldn't roam about alone. It's dangerous," I said to the pup.

As I was about to leave, the pup shouted at my back.

"Daddy!" The little pup shouted happily.

I looked back and saw who he called Daddy; it was then the handsome guy that I ran away from earlier.

Looking at those two, I could see the striking resemblance. No wonder I had thought I had met the pup before. He is just a little copy of his father.

"Daddy, I found mommy!" The boy said it happily.

The handsome guy looked at me, and I looked back at him. I wanted to leave, but it was as if my foot was glued to the ground.

"I'm Richard, and I'm an Alpha in the Blue Moon Pack," he said to me.

He only introduced himself. It was then that I realized that he is my third fiance and wouldn't even see me before he rejected me.

He was looking at me with so much affection that I was almost drowning in it, but then I came back to my senses when I remembered the reason he rejected me. He was said to have a beloved concubine.

I know he doesn't know who I am exactly, but this look of love in his eyes was so confusing. It was as if it wasn't just now that it started to grow. Even if I'm not sure of anything else, I was sure that this was the first time we were meeting.

"He must be a playboy," I said to myself.

Or what explanation can be given to his attitude? He just met me today; he has kissed me and hugged me, and he is now looking at me as if we are lovers.

I was definitely not going to let myself fall into his trap. I'm too experienced to fall for him.

RICHARD

I stood where I was looking at that familiar woman leave.

Angel is dead, but who is this woman?

I know with this I'm going to back off, but then the pull in my heart wouldn't let me. I have caused Angel pain, and seeing her again couldn't make me leave her.

I have this feeling that that woman has a link to my angel, and I'm going to find out.

With this thought, I followed her, but I noticed that she had gone in the wrong direction.

I would definitely not be able to forgive myself if I let anything happen to her for the second time, even if she's not the real Angel. I was the one who brought her into the woods.

I didn't even know that she didn't know her way around the woods; if not, I would have followed her immediately.

Luck was on me because I found her. By the time I found her, I saw two people with her, one of whom was my son.

The way he was talking to her was as if they'd been together for a long and she was also calm with him.

Fate was smiling on me. If she's friendly with my son, she wouldn't be able to avoid me.

"Daddy, I found mommy!"

His voice was filled with happiness. Well, I won't blame the pup because he always wanted his mother. So he should definitely be happy when he sees someone like her.

But when she looked at me, her calm and sweet smile was gone, and she wore a look that said, I don't know you.

Well, then, I decided to tell her who I am.

"I'm Richard, and I'm an Alpha in the Blue Moon Pack," he said to me.

She raised her brow when she heard my name, and I didn't know what that meant. Then suddenly, it took on a stern look. I wondered what she was thinking.

Maybe my name strikes a chord with her?

She looks so much and talks like my angel; I wasn't ready to let her be.

Maybe this is my chance to make up for what I allowed to happen to Angel, and I won't joke with it.
