Okay, I'll be honest with myself. I think there is something about that Zion guy. He has this aura that gives authority and let's not forget how gorgeous he is. He is super handsome.

Funny enough he's been stealing a look at me and that gets me giddy. Does he see me as a freak or something, I wondered.

I sipped my glass of wine and pretended to be oblivious of him staring. I swayed my hips to the beat of the music. I was enjoying myself. Stella was also dancing and having a conversation with a guy. They look quite acquainted and I'm glad. She's been in a bad relationship. Her previous one didn't end well, I almost lost my friend to death but she fought the battle hard and won.

Stella can be unbearable at times but she is sweet and fun to be with. I can see some connection between Alex and her but the two are stubborn to even notice.

" Hey"

I almost lose balance, that voice can't be missed. I turned around to come face to face with the intruder.

" Hi" I pushed my hair behind my ears. Suddenly I was shy. Why does he make me feel shy?

He chuckled " I believe we've not introduced ourselves properly considering that my big head of a friend together with your friend Stella did give us a show"

I chuckled agreeing with him " you are right "

His beautiful eyes illuminate his face. Gosh this man is a Greek god. " or well, I'm zion " he stretched out his hand for a handshake.

" Ella is the name, " I said shaking his hand.

He smirked " A beautiful name for a beautiful lady like you," he said while I blushed covering my red face with my hair.

" erm thanks, I guess"

" Do you care for a dance?"

This wasn't expected " Me?"

He chuckled " yes of course who else "

I check for my friend but she didn't even have my time so a little dance won't hurt. " sure"

I took his outstretched hand and together we went to the middle of that dance floor. I could feel thousands of eyes burning behind my back. I shrugged it off. Who would decline dancing with a guy like him?

He guide my hands to his shoulder while his hands went to my waist. The action made me pause for a second then finally got used to the feeling.

He smirked when he saw my red face " Calm down love "

Love?

" I'm calmed," I said

" of course you aren't. I don't bite and, this is a harmless dance. Unless if you don't want to dance again"

I can't decline, I'll look like a scared cat.

" of course let's dance"...

He smiled " Good"

We moved to the beat of the music. Dancing does relax one's state of mind and most importantly when you feel comfortable and with who you are dancing with. I feel comfortable with him and I don't know why.

" So tell me something you've never told anyone ?" he said all of a sudden while I found the whole thing funny.

" Why should I, I don't know you and you don't know me," I said stupidly.

" That the aim of this, to finally know ourselves better" he explained.

I shrugged " ok then but I ask the questions first, deal?"

He chuckled " Sure why not. Ladies first"

I giggled " oh please stop making fun of me "

He stared deep into my eyes as if trying to read through me. I use that moment to stare at him too.

" you are beautiful" he blurted out.

I didn't expect that to come from him " Erm thanks?"

Something flash in his eyes then suddenly they changed. He smiled " Go ahead with the question"

I nodded  trying to think of what to ask him " How long have you known Alex?"

He swirled has around " for over a decade now "

" A decade?"

" yes, I've known Alex for a very long time. I could equally call him my brother because he is just like a brother to me "

I was in awe " So in short words, you've known each other since birth?"

He nodded " you can put it that way"

" That's nice "

" My turn now "

"Shoot"

" How did you meet Stella. You don't look that aggressive to me, unlike Stella who does not take a shit. That girl is a tigress if you ask me " he shuddered at the thought.

I giggled " Stella is nice"

" I never said she wasn't nice." He corrected

" Well, Stella is more like my guiding angel. I've known her since high school and we go a long way" I said remembering that moment with her. Stella was my superwoman.

The first day I knew her was when she came to my rescue when the Bully of our school tried to bully me. I can remember,  how she drove them away with a stick.

" Well, that's good to hear. Your turn"

I thought of something " Are you single?"

He smirked " is someone trying to shoot their shot on me?"

I scoffed " oh please don't be full of yourself. I was only asking that's all"

He shrugged " Since you don't want to admit it then it's fine. I'm not single "

" Oh" I didn't expect that though

His mood changes immediately. But why did I feel bad though?

" erm please excuse me. I need to use the restroom" I said.

The moment his arms left my body, I felt incomplete " you're quite excused"

Ok, something is off with him. Why does he suddenly change his mood towards me? Was it something I said? I wondered.

I took off to the restroom. I banged the door behind me when I got in. The nerves of him make me feel this way. Why does his action affects me ? Why does he have to make me feel this way when he already has a girlfriend? This isn't fair at all.

I sprinkled water on my face, then stared at my reflection in the mirror. My face looks different. I  look like a different person with all the makeup on my face.

I am Ella and no one dares to bring my spirit down. I'm promising myself right now that the moment I step foot out of the restroom I'm going to enjoy myself by myself without anyone or Zion in the picture. The aim was to go out and live for once and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

ELLA

I was all tipsy. I've had enough to drink tonight. I stared at the room and then my eyes met that of Zion's. For a moment I was glued to the floor not until I felt two arms around my waist which made me break eye contact.

I turn to look at the intruder only to see Alex smirking at him. I pushed him away from a little but he was adamant not to let go.

" Calm down princess" he whispered to my ears.

I rolled my eyes at him " oh please don't call me that "

He chuckled " You are a princess, don't you know that?"

" Hey, don't even try flirting with me" I glared at him.

" Are you always this feisty," he asked and finally let me go.

" Only to some set of people" '

" But I'm not a player, "he said to himself and he also didn't find what he said convincingly.

" just be far away from me "

." Calm down princess".

" Stop calling me that!" I huff and he chuckled

" It's really easy to rile you up. That's why I want to be friends with you though"

I furrowed my brow" So you can always rile me up?"

He scoffed " of course not. It's not because of that "

" Then tell me why?" I folded my arms

" Because I like you, I like you as a friend that's all" he defended.

" and why would you think that I want to be friends with you?" I squint my eyes at him.

." just because" he shrugged.

I smiled secretly. Alex is so easy to tease but his playboy act always hides it.

" Why don't you want to be friends with me? I'm nothing like Stella you know" he said.

I giggled " excuse you? What do you mean by that?"

" I'm not always grumpy and scary. That girl is scary if you ask me " he shuddered at the thought.

I raised a brow " Why is it that you two don't get along? "

" Ask your friend, I didn't do anything to her so I don't know what I did."

"Are you sure about that?"

He gave me a look " you don't believe me?"

I shrugged " I don't know why I find it hard to believe especially for someone like you"

He looks annoyed " stop saying someone like me for crying out loud. Why are you quick to judge"

" I don't know"

He exhaled " fine then, I'll take my leave since you don't trust me"

I stared at his retreating back. I knew I went too far, I should have given him a chance before judging him. I took a sip of my drink and let out a sigh.

Stella walks towards me. She raised a brow " what is with Alex? "...

" It's nothing," I said not in the mood to explain what happened.

" Are you sure?"

" yeah " I forced a smile " By the way who is that guy you were talking to?" I asked wiggling my brows.

She blushed " he's a friend"

" That doesn't look like just a friend. Are you hiding something from me, Stella?"

She huffs " No I'm not. That's Marcus"

" Marcus?" I asked, " Is he someone I know?"

She rolled her eyes " ok fine. He is Fred's friend and has this little crush on me "

I smiled widely " So? What was your response to him? Please tell me you said yes "

" of course not. I don't like him that much, he's not the one for me "

" why would you say so? He is good looking and seems calm"

" look Ella, it's not just by all that. There is more to it you don't know " she said confusing me the more.

I didn't want to push too hard so I said " I just hope one day you'll find someone who'll love you for you"...

She pouted " I hope so too"

I hit her arm lightly just to lift her spirit " Hey"

Suddenly she smirks. She was beginning to scare me.

" What?"

" What is with you and Zion? Earlier I saw how you two were close, especially while you were at that dance floor" she wiggled her brows " is there something you want to tell me?" She threw my words at me.

I rolled my eyes " it's nothing ".

" don't try that with me girl, I need to know the whole story," she said smirking.

I wish I could wipe that smirk off her face. I blushed slightly.

She held my hands " please"

I leg out a sigh " we only danced and that was all"

" But..but what I saw was deep," she said

" oh please stop it, Stella. It's nothing really"

She was reluctant to believe but decided to let it die. She stared at her wristwatch and a frown form on her face.

" What is it?" I asked.

" It's midnight already. I don't think we can go home " she said.

" why?"

" I can't drive. I'm a little tipsy, will you drive?"

Of course not " I'm tipsy too. What should we do then?"

" Fred paid for some spare room in case of a situation like this. Are you ok spending the night here?"

I shrugged " I don't mind"

She smiled "  it's settled then"

" what room is ours?"

" You can just pick any room," she said with a shrug

" okay"...

Stella excused herself " I'll be back in a bit," she said and took off just like that.

I scoffed staring at her retreating back. Just when I was about to look away, Zion was already staring at me. He was dancing with a petite lady. She was saying something to him but his attention was on me.

I won't deny it, I kind of felt a twitch in my chest. Why does he have to dance with someone as beautiful as her?  Calm down Ella, he is taken remember? She might even be the girlfriend.

With a heavy heart, I broke eye contact and made my way upstairs. I should call it a night. I texted Stella informing her about it. I hope she sees it because I'm putting my phone on silent. Wouldn't want any distractions.

Zion

I was able to escape from Annie. She's been all over me since she saw me. It's so annoying. She's always like that around me and I made it clear to her that I don't want her. Moreover, she has a mate somewhere so why try to glue herself to me.

They all want fame and I seem like their perfect target since I'm a high ranker. She won't be the first and also won't be the last. I fixed up my shirt and then made my way upstairs. Exactly where Ella went through.

I began my search for her. I could see the sore look in her eyes the moment she saw Annie beside me. That just shows that she feels some kind of pull towards me and I'm glad. It's always hard to know how humans feel especially when they are our mates.

I keep wondering why was I given a second chance to have a mate? Why does it have to be a human but I don't mind ....really? She's beautiful and does seem mysterious. There is something about her that is so skeptical.

I opened the first door to my left but saw no one there, I did the same with the second and two werewolves were in there having a nice time. They both screamed at the sight of me. I close the door instantly.

I let out a sigh frustrated already. Where could she have gone to, just when I was about to open the last door, a voice stopped me?

" Are you looking for me ?"

How can I miss that voice? A smirk on  my face "Ofcourse love"

She stared at me with a smile . For a moment I thought she was drunk. My little kitten moved forward slowly without breaking eye contact with me " Here I am "

I love the games she's playing " Don't play too much love. You might end up losing " I said tracing her face with a finger.

She bite the finger slightly when it landed on her lips " Who said something about playing a game "

My wolf let out a sigh. How can she do this to me  so easily? I swallowed hard.

She smirked, " So tell me, why were you looking for me ?"

" I ...I

" Don't be scared, I won't bite" she said smugly

I snorted " Did you think you won" I moved close to her, wrapping my arms around her waist " You don't wanna play games with me sweetheart"

She also wasn't backing down. She trailed her hands down my chest sending shivers all my body. God have mercy.

" Tell me what you want. I know you want something from me " she whispered staring into my eyes.

I was quiet for a second then said

Ella

I thought I was dreaming when he said he wanted me. Does he feel the pull too? I held onto his shirt ready for the worst. I know I'll regret this. But I hope I don't.

I kissed him hard on the lips leaving him speechless.

Zion smiled into the kiss and before I knew it he opened the door and directed inside with me wrapped around him.

" Calm down sweetheart. This shirt cost more than you can imagine " I knew he was teasing me but I still showed him how annoyed I was.

" Oh hell no, are you always this cocky?"

" Only to someone ready to have their way with me," he said and my face turned red from embarrassment.

" I was not trying to have my way with you"

" Then tell me what you're doing right now exactly," he said with a brow raised.

" Gush you're insufferable," I said trying to pull away from him but he held on tight to my waist.

" Where do you think you're going ?"

" Far away from you"

" Sweetheart you going to end what you started, you can't go away just like that," he said then claimed my lips.

I know I look all flustered but who cares. I either enjoy this moment while it lasts.

" Do you want this ?" he asked.

At first, I was confused then realization dawn on me. I didn't wanna look desperate but I nodded nevertheless.

He nodded and claimed my lips again. The sparks were too much to bear, I sighed slightly as he found my soft spot on the neck.

Usually, I hate it when guys kiss on my necks especially when they leave a hickey.

He smirked " You are beautiful, you don't need to be shy in front of me. I love what I see"

My face was so red from embarrassment, I've never allowed a guy to go as far as seeing my body. The farthest a guy has gone with me is kissing and hugging that's all.

" I...i

" Calm down sweetheart, you have the most beautiful body ever which made me mad that I'm not the first person to see this "

What does he mean? Of course, he is the first.

I guess he saw my confused face so he asked " Am I?"

When he saw how hesitant I was, a smile broke his face " You've got to be kidding me !"

I couldn't move nor do anything, I waited for him to say all he needed to say before I can do anything.

" I'm the luckiest man alive then. You don't know how happy you just made me, I'll make you experience something that only I can make you experience. You are mine now sweetheart and no one else's

I didn't want to think too deep into what he said. All I just want to do is to have a nice night and forget it all happened tomorrow in the morning. Only if this beautiful moment would continue forever.  I think I'm beginning to like him. I slept with a happy smile on my face .
