On Valentine's Day, I received news that my ex-boyfriend Kevin Park had been in a car accident.
The doctor said that Kevin had lost some of his memory and his cell phone was broken. He could only remember my phone number. He was currently unattended, so I had to take him home.
I took out the men's underwear that I had given away as a gift and pushed Kevin, who was still covered in dust and blood, into the bathroom.
"As a girl, why do you have men's underwear at home?" Kevin looked gloomy as he held the brand-new underwear. "Where did you get this?"
"Are you going to wear it or not? If not, just be naked." I didn't bother to explain to him but closed the door.
It wasn't until I heard the sound of water in the bathroom that I breathed a sigh of relief and looked back at my little room.
It was a low-rent house with a simple wooden floor. There was a bed and a single sofa.
I felt a little nervous. Should I let him, who was injured, sleep on the floor?
Just as I was thinking about it, the bathroom door opened, and Kevin's voice interrupted my thoughts, "Deisy..."
I turned around and gasped, I saw Kevin standing at the door, he was only wearing that underwear. The T-shirt and shorts I prepared for him were both in his hands.
Kevin had a very good figure, with strong muscles. His six-pack stomach rose and fell along with his breathing. Tiny drops of water on his tanned skin rolled down his mermaid line. His underwear was stuffed full and looked a little tight. When he saw me looking at him, he adjusted the underwear with some discomfort and said coldly, "It's too small."
Then he changed his tone, stared at me, and asked, "Whose is this?"
When Kevin wasn't smiling, he looked grim and cold. At this moment, he pursed his lips and stared at me with a sullen face, as if asking me if I had been with another man.
Of course, I couldn't let him know that I had gotten this underwear for free, so I deliberately said seriously, "I bought it, especially for you, but I didn't expect you couldn't fit in."
Kevin's expression eased a little, and he seemed very satisfied with my compliment. He put on the T-shirt and went back to the bathroom. A moment later, I saw him wearing shorts and casually throwing the underwear into the trash can with an extremely disdainful expression.
I took a glance and cursed him in her heart.
I was so angry but dared not say anything as I watched him sitting on the bed. He patted the bed shamelessly and said, "Let's sleep together?"
I said coldly, "You have amnesia, so you may not remember that we broke up two years ago. Now I am kind enough to let you stay here when you are homeless."
I meant he should sleep on the floor.
Kevin pursed his lips and looked a little unhappy. He silently turned his gaze away from me and lowered his head, not knowing what he was thinking. The atmosphere was a little awkward for a moment.
Just when I was thinking about whether should I get him a room nearby, he suddenly asked, "Why did we break up two years ago?"
I didn't want to bring up the bad memories, so I just said calmly, "Because you are so bad at sex!"
Kevin froze, and after a while he said in disbelief, "Is it really that bad?"
He said doubtfully, and even his hair was drooping a little.
I nodded, pulled the quilt, lay down, and dared not say more.
I denied it in my heart.
I heard a sneaky noise from behind, I was annoyed and felt my waist being gently poked.
I turned around in confusion, only to see Kevin lying next to me, looking a little nervous. He said, "Can you give me another chance?"
Kevin took my hand and placed it on his abdominal muscles, saying, "Let's try again. I will try my best this time."
I was confused.
Was he referring to the thing I was thinking?
I wanted to refuse, but under the dim light, his expression was affectionate and serious, and even a little pitiful. Facing such an outstanding and handsome face, I couldn't reject him.
After a while, I said, "If you behave well, I will agree."

The next day, I took Kevin to buy him some suitable clothes.
Kevin seemed to enjoy shopping with me. He handed me a black card and said, "I found it on me. Use this."
I took it because I was buying clothes for him anyway.
Half an hour later, he and I appeared on the street wearing couple's outfits.
Kevin held my hand, our fingers tightly clasped together, and he walked naturally towards the road. Occasionally, when there were many people around, he would deliberately stand in front of me. Everything seemed so familiar as if we were back in the past.
As I watched Kevin go to the fitting room, I wondered when would he be able to recover his memory. If he recovered his memory, how would he view the period of amnesia? If...
"Deisy?"
As I was thinking, a shrill voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned around and was a little surprised. It was Susy Collins.
She was once one of Kevin's ardent pursuers.
Susy was wearing a black leather jacket and a short skirt. Her neat short hair and exaggerated hoop earrings made her look sexy and cool. She stared at me with disdain and said, "Have you found a new boyfriend? Are you accompanying him to buy clothes?"
It was no wonder why Susy guessed this way. This was a high-end men's clothing store, and my parents were abroad, so I must be here with a male friend.
I nodded at her and said, "I am here with a friend."
Susy smiled and said, "It's been many years since we last met, but you're still charming."
Then she said in a mean tone, "I just don't know who will be the victim this time."
I shrugged nonchalantly and said, "I just knew him yesterday. He was so clingy that he insisted on having me accompany him to buy clothes."
Susy didn't take it seriously but said, "Really? Is he clingy or stupid?"
I held back my laughter, wondering if she would still be able to say such things when she saw Kevin later.
She still looked at me with contempt. She picked up a pair of dark green underwear and said, "Kevin's birthday is coming soon. Given our relationship, I plan to give him a pair of men's underwear. He will think I am very considerate."
Only couples would give each other underwear as a gift.
Susy deliberately wanted to use this method to hint at her relationship with Kevin, but it was meaningless.
I kindly reminded him, "The one you have is too small for him."
Susy understood my words. Her face turned red, and the next second, she said viciously, "You know it? You are just..."
She paused and looked straight behind me.
I looked back and found that Kevin had changed his clothes and was walking towards us, with a tie in his hand. He had a faint smile on his face, but when he saw Susy's face, his smile disappeared. I didn't know if it was my illusion that I always felt he looked gloomy.
He walked quickly to me, pushed Susy aside, then half-knelt down, took my hand, and put it on the back of his neck. He said, "Deisy, can you help me?"
Kevin was tall, and the white shirt made his muscles look even more prominent. At this moment, his head was slightly lowered, like a noble beast I had tamed.
My hand was on his neck, and I felt the muscles under my palm were tense.
Why was he so nervous because of Susy's appearance?
Before I could think about it, Susy took a breath and said, "You guys..."
Her face was distorted, and she pointed at me with a trembling finger, saying, "Kevin, how can you forgive this fickle woman? Have you forgotten how she treated you back then?"

I felt a little amused and didn't know why she would say that.
Kevin's gaze fell on her. He had always been indifferent towards others, but he looked at Susy with resentment.
I sighed softly and reached out to slowly help Kevin tie his tie. He looked at me again, completely ignoring the furious Susy standing beside him.
This did not surprise me at all.
Kevin was a very self-opinionated person. Now he had lost all his memories and didn't remember Susy at all, let alone pay any attention to her.
Seeing that Kevin ignored her, Susy became anxious. She stepped forward quickly and grabbed my hand with her sharp nails. "It must be you, Deisy, you're so annoying...."
But before her hand touched me, it was grabbed by Kevin. He used great force, and Susy struggled several times but failed to break free.
Kevin looked gloomy and said, "Who are you? Don't touch my wife casually."
Susy was so angry that she was shaking all over. "Kevin, what are you talking about? Didn't you say you hated her before?"
Susy sounded a little anxious. She looked at Kevin carefully and said, "Kevin, has something happened to you? We had dinner together last week. You..."
Susy was undoubtedly a smart and perceptive woman. Although the car accident that Kevin had was not too serious, bruises could still be found on his body. Susy's expression changed slightly and she said, "Are you injured?"
"Deisy, what happened on Kevin?!"
The way Susy looked at me was as if he was looking at a demon who brought disaster to the world as if all the suffering and accidents that Kevin had endured were because of me.
I found it funny. I was just an ordinary person. What could I do to Kevin? Being targeted by Susy made me angry.
After I tied the tie, I reached out and gently patted the cheek of Kevin, who was half-crouching in front of me, and said intimately, "Kevin, she wants you to explain to her."
Kevin rubbed my palm. His short hair was a bit prickly and made my palm itchy. His gloomy aura just now disappeared as if it were just my illusion.
Kevin looked up at Susy with a cold look and said, "I only explain to my wife."
After he finished speaking, Kevin reached out and pulled me up. When he passed by Susy, he looked at that underwear, and he had a look of disdain. "You have a bad taste."

After being disturbed by Susy, I was no longer in the mood to go shopping. However, Kevin was not affected at all and even bought me my favorite dessert.
Looking at his grinning face, I couldn't help but think of the gloom and nervousness that showed on his face when he saw Susy just now. Would a person who had lost his memory have this reaction when facing a woman he had never seen before? I couldn't help but look at him suspiciously.
Kevin asked, "Don't you want to drink this?"
I shook my head and took the cup of slightly iced coffee. "You seemed very nervous just now."
Kevin froze for a moment, then glanced at the traffic light that had just turned red. "I was afraid you would be bullied by that woman. Although I don't know her, I can tell at a glance that she's not a good person."
I reached out and touched his short hair, and Kevin's stiff body slowly relaxed. Then I said casually, "Kevin, has anyone told you that every time you are nervous or want to lie, you like to look away and not look me in the eye?"
"Are you really amnesiac? You don't remember anything except me?"
