Chapter 1

When I return home on Christmas Eve, I find a stamp on my wife's body. She looks flustered as she explains that it's a mark every member of her family has.

I sneer to myself. She has no idea that I'm a member of the Anti-Cheating Organization. With the help of a system, I can easily track my wife's whereabouts and see what she's done.

She's my last target before completing my mission. Once I'm done with her, I'll get ten million dollars.

Katie Rutherland leaned against the bed, dressed in some sexy lingerie. She beckoned at me seductively with her hand.

I just couldn't deny that Katie was extremely beautiful tonight.

"Honey," she said in her gentle voice. "It's been a while since you've been home. Let's—"

A split second later, my phone suddenly started ringing loudly.

I answered the call in frustration. Katie's face was turning dark.

A while later, I said remorsefully, "I'm sorry, darling, but the client just said they had a last-minute appointment, so I have to go and oversee the contract signing. If all goes well today, we will be starting the project tomorrow."

Just as I'd finished speaking, a pillow hit me squarely in my face.

"Then, leave!" Katie yelled at me. "The only thing you care about is work anyway. You might as well never come home anymore!"

I picked up the pillow and placed it back on the bed. Then, I kissed Katie on the forehead and tried to calm her down.

"Alright, darling, please don't be mad at me. I'll buy you the newest bag when I get home later."

Katie's eyes lit up at once. She then hummed begrudgingly at me in acknowledgment.

I quickly pulled on my coat and flew out of the door.

Actually, I was hiding a secret from her.

I was bound to a system that made me a member of the Anti-Cheating Organization. Members were also known as the "Judges of Marriage".

Our daily tasks were to deal with all sorts of issues involving cheating men and women.

One consequence of this job was not being able to go home often. So, to conceal my true identity, I found myself a civil engineering job cover.

I finally managed to get a break from my shift just three days ago, but Katie had only managed to come home tonight.

Initially, I thought I would be able to enjoy some husband-and-wife bonding time tonight. However, as things turned out, I also had a huge mission to go on tonight.

I complained bitterly to myself while driving toward the location where the system told me to go. Three of my other colleagues arrived there at the same time as I did.

We exchanged a nod before stepping into the hotel before us.

The system said, "Judges, a cheating bastard is now in Room 301. He has a heavily pregnant wife running a barbecue restaurant at home, but he's now spending all her hard-earned money on another woman in this hotel."

I inhaled sharply. This man had gone overboard!

After receiving all sorts of information from the system, my colleagues and I started getting to work as usual.

Half an hour later, the man's wife arrived at the scene and caught him red-handed. A whole team of media personnel was right behind her with their cameras all recording the cheating couple.

One of my colleagues, Quentin Ziegler, said, "Why did he have to do this? He already has a family at home. He just had to find some other woman elsewhere."

I shrugged. I'd been a Judge of Marriage for so long that things like these couldn't faze me anymore.

In fact, in one of my most memorable cases, the poor man found out that none of his three children actually belonged to him.

At first, I took pity on them and felt bad for the victims. But now, I was so unfazed that I just watched silently from the sidelines, numb to it all.

In a way, I guess I was just anonymously doing good for society. I felt the most relieved whenever I helped to end marriages in which one of the spouses had cheated on the other.

However, I still felt terrible about Katie. Because of this job, I wasn't able to spend much time with her.

Quentin patted me on the back and said, "Let's go. Another mission's waiting for us."

I recollected my thoughts and continued working hard for the system.

There was a huge increase in our workload lately, most probably because it was nearing the end of the year.

The system seemed to have a knack for wanting to see couples break up around Christmas time because it added to the drama. So, it kept relentlessly sending us out during that time period.

Finally, I lost my cool with it.

While slurping instant noodles from a cup, I angrily asked the system, "Do we even get time off during Christmas? Even large corporations don't work their employees to the bone like you do!"

Half a minute later, the system replied, "Yes, you'll get time off. Your time off starts tomorrow."

I chuckled drily. It was already Christmas Eve tomorrow.

Chapter 2

Since I had a few days off, I immediately rushed home as soon as possible. However, Katie was behaving very coldly toward me.

I approached her with a huge smile on my face, trying to win her favor with a hug. "Darling, I'm home!"

Katie broke free from me and didn't even look up at me before asking, "Where's the bag you promised me?"

I produced a designer bag from behind my back like I was putting on a magic show. "Of course it's here, darling!"

Katie's expression finally eased up when she saw it. She took the bag from me without another word and started taking loads of pictures of it with her phone.

I came closer to her again, but she pushed me away at once. "Go away. I'm busy."

I peeked at her phone. She was getting a ton of message notifications on it. It made sense because she owned an online store and was often very busy with orders.

I knew that I couldn't argue with her, so seeing that she wasn't in the best mood, I decided to stop pestering her.

However…

My lips curled upward by just a little. I was going to make it up to her tonight!

Katie only put her phone away and came to bed late into the night.

I immediately approached her and handed her a set of sleepwear. "Darling, here's your night dress. Let's go to sleep."

Katie's expression froze. She then said rather awkwardly, "It's been rather cold at home. I won't be wearing that to sleep."

Cold?

I was stunned.

My residential area was very well-known for providing top-tier, state-of-the-art heating in our homes. So, why would Katie feel cold at home?

I touched her forehead with my hand. "Are you having a fever?"

She pushed my hand away impatiently and said, "What's up with you? Hurry up and go to sleep."

I was a little disappointed. It hadn't been easy for me to come home tonight, yet Katie was acting very coldly toward me.

She didn't use to be like this.

In the first year we got married, Katie always clung to me whenever I was home. She would stay close to me all day and night. But now, she was acting like a completely different person altogether.

"Darling, please don't be mad anymore," I said, scooting closer to her again, unwilling to give up.

However, Katie just went toward the light switch to turn off the lights.

I was antsy. Then, when her guard was down, I lunged forward and pulled her pants down.

Katie immediately turned around and tried to pull her pants back up.

A large, red stamp, like those used in grading beef, immediately caught my eye.

I could feel my brain exploding in slow motion. That was because the stamp mark was precisely in the center of Katie's buttcheek.

Who on earth would want to stamp a beef grading stamp on their own butt?

At once, all sorts of scary thoughts invaded my head like a tsunami. I eventually settled on the worst-case scenario—Katie was cheating on me.

I asked her shakily, "Katie, what's the matter with your butt?"

A trace of horror appeared in Katie's eyes. However, she seemed to compose herself fairly quickly as she laughed and said, "Ah, don't bring that up. I went home to my parents' two days ago and spent the night there, and naughty little Danny stamped that thing on me.

"He even stamped it on Mom and Dad too! It's basically become a family stamp at this point," Katie said in an amused voice, sounding very convincing. "You know, Dad nearly skinned that little brat alive!"

She was talking about Danny Locker, her nephew.

Seeing that I didn't seem fully convinced, Katie continued, "I'm just telling you that the stamp is going to take a while to come off. I've been worried about it for days. I didn't want anyone else to see it and make fun of me."

I managed to catch a loophole in Katie's explanation. "You went back to your parents' two days ago? But I didn't know about it."

Katie suddenly flew into a rage. She yelled at me, "What, are you suspicious of me now? You're always so engrossed with work. When have you ever come back home anyway? Do I have to report to you even if I was just going home to my parents'?

"If that's the case, why have you never thought about me or how lonely I'd be, always home alone?"

I was at a loss for words.

Katie didn't wait for me to answer. Instead, she just turned her back to me and went to sleep.

I couldn't sleep a wink.

I didn't know how long it was, but her phone suddenly lit up with a notification.

Although we'd been married for years, I had never once looked through her phone before. This time, however, I glanced briefly at her phone screen. I immediately caught sight of a text message preview on it.

"So, baby, is the stamp still there? Why don't you take a photo of it for your master?"
