Chapter 2

waking up to a beautiful morning was an underrated blessing to people, Juliana always thought, as she opened her eye and sat up on her bed. whatever invaded sunlight was a bother as it streamed through the partly curtains. It was barely past eight on this delightful Saturday morning. she got down from her queen-sized bed, walked up to the window, and hung up the curtains. She rested her body on it and closed her eyes, breathing in the fresh air. It rushed through her nostrils. She opened her eyes and looked up at the weather. It was so cool. She stayed there for a few minutes before walking to the bathroom and did her morning duties. She spent almost an hour before getting ready. She creamed her body with different lotions to keep her body smooth, put on her favourite pink mini dress, and packed her hair up in ponytails. She wore her pink flip-flops and picked up her iPad from her bed. Juliana descended down the stairs, holding the railings for support. She walked straight to the sitting room and saw Elena sitting comfortably like the owner of the house, pressing her iPad and laughing hysterically. She walked straight to the counch Elena was sitting on and sat beside her, crossing her long legs on the center table and stretching her neck like a giraffe to see what she was up to on her phone. It seemed like she was chatting with someone. Juliana lived alone with her maids, who are nice and wonderful people. However, she couldn't expect them to sit down and chat or play with her. They were there to work and be paid. That's all she always said. She found the mansion boring without anyone to talk to, so months ago, she asked Elena to move in with her, and she did.

She rolled her eyes because Elena was still not looking at her. Elena kept chatting on her phone with a smile pattered on her face. That annoying little thing was intentionally ignoring her, Juliana thought, hoping she had forgotten she paid her bills. If this was how Elena wanted to play games, she was ready to play along. She would play along with the silent game. Juliana picked up her phone, which she dropped earlier beside her , unlocked it, and went straight to the games app. She clicked on Subway surfers. She was really good at this game. it had been almost thirty minutes, and Elena was not saying a word to her, which was really getting annoying. So, Juliana dropped her phone again beside her and looked up to Elena.

"Well, it seems like you are busy with your phone and pretending I'm not here. Don't forget I paid your bills. you might be my best friend, but you still need to attend to my needs. Juliana said rudely, keeping her face straight with no emotions written on it.

"I'm so sorry, Ana. I really don't mean to ignore you. I'm just carried away with my phone. you look ugly with that look on your face. Just try and smile a little." Elena replied

"Right now, I don't give a damn whether I'm ugly or not. I really need food badly. it like I slept off without eating anything last night. Juliana said, rubbing her flat stomach.

"That good; the maids just finished cooking bacon and chips. " Elena replied, smiling, but Juliana was about to disappoint her.

"Too bad I'm not in the mood to eat that. Right now, I'm craving pizzas. " Juliana said while Elena frowned.

"But what about the bacon? The maids put their time and effort into. she frowned, but Juliana never cared about the maids. She got what she wanted, and that all mattered.

"They can just throw it in the bin or stuff it down their throats; just hurry up and order the pizzas." Juliana shouted, slamming her right hand on the table.

"Okay, just calm down. I'll place the order now." Elena said, facing her phone and sending a message to the bakery store.

"Let's talk about business now. What's on the table for me? Any schedule this week?. Juliana asked.

" Yeah, you are having a concert with Emirates stadium on Saturday, a modelling shot with Calvin klein, and on Wednesday, an interview with glamours t.v." Elena read from her tab.

"About the interview, can you cancel that? I'm not in the mood to grant an interview right now. Juliana said, picking up the t.v remote.

"But we said yes a month ago when they reached out to us. What excuse should i give them now? Elena said, glaring at her with an annoying face. But Juliana was the city diva, and they would always go by her rules.

"Don't get me angry, El, I'm not in the mood anymore. Get that straight to your skull. And for what you're going to say, that's part of the job you're paid for." Juliana yelled at her, trying to keep her emotion under control. no matter how rude Juliana was to Elena, she always kept a smiling face on. she was the complete opposite of Juliana - caring, friendly, and always smiling. They had met in junior high school and connected easily. throughout their high school and college, Elena was the constant friend in Juliana's life. Despite making many friends, Elena always came back to Juliana because she knew Juliana needed her. Juliana was grateful for Elena's presence in her life, but she struggled to express her feelings.

"Okay, Ana, I'm gonna work on it. just relax your face a little; you look ugly when you're angry." Elena said as she started typing her phone again. Meanwhile, Juliana switched on the t.v and she flipped through channels until she found a music station. She settled on a channel and put the remote back on the table. The next music video that popped up was her first ever music video, which she debuted at the eighteen. It was for her hit song, "Billion dollars," which catapulted her to fame and earned her major deals, a record label, modelling contracts, and more. looking back at the peaks of her career, Juliana was thankful to her teams, who had supported her and trusted her.

Bryan just delivered the first pizza of the day and back to the bakery store. As he headed to the restroom, Kyle rushed out of his office.

"Thank God you're back. We have another delivery. Jasper, the other guy working with you, won't make it. you have to do all the deliveries today. But don't worry, you'll get a bonus for it." Kyle said.

"So where's the package? Bryan asked.

"it has been packed on the company bike you'll be riding. I will send the address on your phone. just make sure you get there on time. She's a very prominent customer, and losing her would mean losing our job here." Kyle explained.

Bryan nodded, and Kyle took him to where the bike was parked. After sending the address to Bryan's phone, Kyle let him get on his way. Bryan wasted know time getting the bike, thinking it going to be a long day.

Chapter 3

Bryan got settled on his bike, plucked in the Airpods on both ears, connected them to his phone, and selected a song from his favourite artist, Juliana. He started the bike and sped away. singing along with the song, which was blasting his ear. Bryan loved music; He calmed him down, sometimes worked him up, and made him feel nostalgic about the past or excited about the future. Music was irresistible, and so was the smile on his face. He was lost with the beautiful voice of Juliana. To him, it was the most amazing voice he ever heard.

As Bryan rode his bike through the neighbourhood, the warm sun cast a golden glow on the lush green lawns and majestic mansions. The scent of freshly cut grass wafted through the air, mingling with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers. The sound of birds chirping and leaves rustling in the gentle breeze created a soothing melody.

When he arrived at the mansion, he noticed the intricate stone carvings on the facade and the beautifully manicured gardens. The sound of the doorbell echoed through the hallway as he pressed the button.

A few minutes later, the door opened, and Juliana stood before him. Bryan's eyes widened in surprise; he couldn't believe the person standing in front of him was actually Juliana. He stared at her without blinking, his mind racing with thoughts.

"Hand me the package when you're done eye-raping me," Juliana said with a smile. "I'm so sorry," Bryan stuttered. Juliana looked him closely and asked, "Why are you the one delivering this? There's this particular guy who always brings my package."The other guy couldn't make it to work today," Bryan replied.

Juliana nodded and turned back, leaving Bryan to hand the package to Elena, who had appeared behind her. Elena joined Juliana on the couch, placing the pizza on the table and unwrapping it. The aroma of freshly baked pizza crust filled the room, making Juliana's stomach growl with hunger. She took a bite of the pizza, and the gooey cheese stretched as she pulled it apart. The flavours danced on her tongue, a perfect blend of savoury sauce, melted cheese, and crispy crust. Elena asked, "So, tell me why you were rude to the guy earlier?" Juliana rolled her eyes and replied,"He was staring like he wanted to devour every piece of me."

Bryan couldn't shake off the encounter with Juliana from his mind. She was so pretty, and speaking and standing close to her felt unbelievable. He had attended her concerts before and admired her stage presence. Juliana wasn't just his crush; she was every American man's dream.

After finishing his delivery, Bryan headed to his second job. As he was leaving, Kyle asked, "You're leaving already?" Bryan nodded. "Well, you did great work today. Jasper is definitely coming tomorrow. The staff are having dinner together, and the bills are on me. If you don't mind, you can join us." Bryan politely declined, citing his tight schedule.

Meanwhile, Elena was getting ready for her date at the logistics club. She put on a black sleeve gown, combed her long blonde hair, and applied a red lip gloss. She checked herself in the mirror and walked to Juliana's room to tell her she was heading out.

Juliana was lying on her bed, playing games on her phone. "I can see you're dressed up nicely. Don't tell me you're heading out," she said, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, I'm meeting someone at a club, and I'll be home late. Don't wait up for me," Elena replied.

"Well, in that case, I'm going with you," Juliana said. "I feel like it's been a long time since I stepped outside, and home will be kinda boring without you here." Elena was shocked. "You ain't deaf; I'm sure you heard what I said. Wait up for me to dress nicely," Juliana said, rushing into the bathroom.

Within a twinkle of an eye, Juliana was back in the room, checking her wardrobe for a dress. "Ana, this is a bad idea. You know how dangerous it is to go out now without a bodyguard," Elena tried to reason with her. Juliana pulled out a pink mini gown and put it on, packing her hair up and tying it with a rubber band. She put on a short golden wig, applied pink lipstick, slipped on golden heels, and finally, sunglasses. Her looks were totally different.

"Baby Elen, let's hit the road, and stop staring at me like that. I know I'm hot already," Juliana said, catwalking out of the room while Elena followed behind her.

Elena P.O.V

As I stood in front of the mirror, smoothing out my dress and checking my hair, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves about my date tonight. What if he's not what I expected? What if we don't click? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present moment. I was looking forward to meeting him and seeing where things went.

Just as I was about to head out, Juliana suddenly decided to join me. My heart sank. Why did she have to do this? Can't she just let me have one night to myself? I tried to reason with her, but she was determined. I sighed inwardly, wondering how this would affect my date.

As Juliana transformed into a completely different person, donning a wig, sunglasses, and a mini dress, I couldn't help but feel a little annoyed. This was not what I had planned. But at the same time, I had to admit that Juliana's energy was infectious. She always knew how to make an entrance.

I followed her out of the room, wondering what the night had in store for us. Would my date be put off by Juliana's presence? Would we even get a chance to talk? I pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the present moment, ready to see how things would.

As I stood frozen, staring at Juliana, my mind went blank. Was this really happening? Was I actually face-to-face with the Juliana? My heart was racing, and my palms were sweating. I couldn't believe my luck.

I've been a huge fan of Juliana's music for years. I've attended her concerts, bought her albums, and even had a poster of her on my bedroom wall when I was a teenager. And now, here she was, standing right in front of me.

I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. Her eyes sparkled, and her smile lit up the room. I felt like I was in a dream, and I didn't want to wake up.

But as I handed her the package, I stumbled over my words. "I'm so sorry," I muttered, feeling like a complete idiot. Why did I have to be so awkward?

As I watched her take the package and turn back, I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. I had hoped to talk to her more to learn more about her. But it seemed like that wasn't going to happen.

Or was it? As I looked into her eyes, I saw a glimmer of recognition. Maybe she knew who I was. Maybe she knew I was a fan. The thought sent a thrill through me.

I was feeling restless, stuck in the same routine day in and day out. I needed a change of scenery, a chance to let loose and have some fun. When Elena told me about her date, I saw an opportunity to break free from my monotony.

I know Elena was hesitant at first, but I could tell she was excited about the prospect of us going out together. I love spending time with her; she's my partner in crime, my confidante. We always have a blast together.

As I got ready, I couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. I love dressing up, transforming into a different person. It's liberating, you know? I put on my favourite wig, sunglasses, and heels, and suddenly, I felt like a completely different person.

I know Elena's worried about me coming along, but I promise I'll be on my best behaviour. I'll make sure we have a great time and maybe even help her make a connection with her date. Who knows? Maybe we'll even have a wild night.

Chapter 4

********

Elena drove straight to the club, the trip taking only twenty-two minutes. As she parked her car, she couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. She was meeting Kyle, the guy she had been talking to, and she was hoping for a great time.

As she stepped out of the car, Juliana followed suit, her eyes scanning the surroundings with a hint of boredom. "So, where is your boyfriend?" Juliana asked, folding her arms together while impatiently tapping the floor with her right foot. "I said I'm meeting up with someone, not my boyfriend," Elena replied, her voice laced with annoyance.

Elena frowned, pulling out her phone to dial Kyle's number. He picked up on the first attempt, and Elena smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Hi Kyle, I'm here already," she said, trying to sound casual.

"Oh, bae, just a second, I'm coming out now," Kyle replied, his voice smooth and charming. "Okay, I'm waiting at the parking lot," Elena said, ending the call.

"He will be here in a few seconds," Elena said to Juliana, who was watching her with an amused expression. As if on cue, Kyle appeared, walking towards them with a confident stride.

"You look stunning in that dress, Elena," Kyle complimented, his eyes locked on hers. Elena blushed, feeling a warmth spread through her body. "Thanks, you don't look bad yourself," she replied, trying to play it cool.

Juliana rolled her eyes, her expression unimpressed. "Can you two stop with the lovey-dovey stuff and let's head inside? It's getting cold out here," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Elena felt a pang of regret for bringing Juliana along, but she pushed the thought aside. Kyle looked at Juliana, his eyes widening in surprise. "Sorry, please, who is she?" he asked, his voice polite.

"This is Juliana, my boss," Elena replied, bringing her mouth closer to Kyle's ear. "I told you about her, right?" Kyle's eyes lit up with recognition, and he smiled. "Oh my God, this is Juliana. I couldn't even recognize her. She looks completely different but still hot as always," he said, his voice filled with admiration.

Juliana smirked, her eyes flashing with amusement. "Thanks, Mr. Man. You two meet me inside when you're done flirting here," she said, catwalking into the club.

As they followed Juliana inside, Elena couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She hoped Juliana wouldn't ruin her date, but she knew better than to underestimate her boss's ability to stir up trouble.

Inside the club, the music was pulsating, the beat thumping through the speakers like a living thing. Juliana catwalked to the bar, her hips swaying to the rhythm. Elena and Kyle followed, their eyes locked on each other.

At the bar, Juliana ordered a cup of whisky, downing it in one swift motion. The bartender's eyes widened in surprise, but Juliana just smiled, her eyes glinting with mischief.

"You're the delivery guy," Juliana said, her voice husky. "And who are you?" the bartender asked, folding his arms.

"Apart from the wig I'm wearing, if you look at me well, you'll definitely remember me," Juliana replied, her smile growing wider. The bartender's eyes narrowed, his expression shocked.

"What are you doing here?" he stuttered, and Juliana laughed, a low, throaty sound. "Keep your voice down. You don't want to get the crowd on me. Give me a bottle of whisky, I'm so thirsty."

The bartender hesitated, but Juliana's gaze was unwavering. He turned around, grabbing a bottle of whisky and handing it to her. Juliana threw her purse at him, and he caught it, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Hold that for me, I'll come for it and pay for my drink," Juliana said, her voice confident. With that, she walked to the dance floor, and the bottle of whisky clutched in her hand.

As they watched Juliana dance, Kyle turned to Elena and smiled. "Guess that lady is one of a kind," he said, his voice filled with admiration. "I know, right?" Elena replied, laughing.

Just then, Bryan appeared in front of them, his eyes locked on Juliana as she danced with a guy. His expression darkened, and Elena felt a pang of surprise. Why was Bryan reacting like that?

"What's running through your mind? You look lost," Kyle asked, his voice concerned. Bryan shook his head, his eyes still fixed on Juliana.

"Nothing, just enjoying the music," Bryan replied, his voice tight. Kyle nodded, smiling. "Elena, this is my best friend Bryan, and Bryan meets Elena, my soon-to-be girlfriend." He said, smiling. He extended his hand for a handshake, and she gladly took it. "It's nice meeting you again." She dropped his hand and smiled gently at him; she remembered him. Kyle looked at us, switching his eyes back and forth. He was surprised by how the two ended up knowing each other. "Earlier this morning, she's the first person I delivered pizza to." Bryan's troubled mind eased. His mouth widened in surprise. "Wow, that's how fate works. So, Bryan, I'll be around somewhere." "No problem, enjoy your date." Bryan smiled at him as they both walked away. He looked back at the dance floor. He could see her grinding her body against a guy, and he wasn't happy. It wasn't like they were dating, so why was he getting angry? After all, she could never date him. He thought to himself.

*********

Bryan's eyes never left Juliana's figure as she danced with reckless abandon, the bottle of whisky still clutched in her hand. He couldn't help but feel a sense of unease, a feeling that something was about to go terribly wrong.

As he watched, a guy approached Juliana, his hands reaching out to grab her waist. Juliana didn't seem to notice, too caught up in the music and her own movements. But Bryan noticed, and his instincts kicked in.

Without thinking, he pushed his way through the crowd, his eyes fixed on the guy who was now trying to kiss Juliana. Bryan's fist clenched, and he punched the guy, sending him stumbling backward.

The crowd around them gasped in shock, but Bryan didn't care. He was too focused on Juliana, who was now stumbling, the bottle of whisky slipping from her grasp.

Kyle rushed forward, grabbing Bryan's arm and pulling him back. "Whoa, calm down, man," Kyle said, his voice soothing. "You don't want to start a fight."

Bryan's chest heaved with exertion, his eyes still fixed on Juliana. Elena rushed forward, catching Juliana as she stumbled. "Thanks for protecting her," Elena said, her voice grateful.

Bryan nodded, still feeling a sense of tension. "I know, and I know who she is," he replied, his voice low.

As Bryan was about to leave, Kyle's phone rang. He excused himself, answering the call. After a brief conversation, he turned to Bryan and Elena. "I'm so sorry, guys. I have to go. It's urgent."

Bryan nodded understandingly. "No problem, I'll make sure Elena and Juliana get home safely."

Kyle smiled, relieved. "Thanks, man. I owe you one." With that, he hurried off, leaving Bryan with the two girls.

Juliana was still drunk, swaying to the music. Elena held her steady, trying to keep her upright. Bryan chuckled, shaking his head. "Let's get her home, shall we?"

Elena nodded, grateful for Bryan's help. "Yeah, thanks. I don't think she can handle herself right now."

Bryan smiled, taking charge. "Don't worry, I've got this. Let's wait till I close up, and then I'll drive you both home."

Elena agreed, and they waited for Bryan to finish his shift. Juliana, still under the influence, danced and sang along to the music, much to the amusement of the other club-goers.

As the night wore on, Bryan closed up the club and led the girls out to their car. He helped them in, making sure Juliana was secure in the backseat. Elena sat beside her, holding her hand.

"Thanks again, Bryan," Elena said, smiling. "I don't know what we would have done without you."

Bryan smiled back, starting the car. "No problem, happy to help." He drove them home, making sure they were safe and sound.

As they pulled up to Juliana's place, Bryan helped Elena get her out of the car and into the house. Juliana was still drunk, stumbling and giggling. Bryan and Elena managed to get her to bed, and then they sat down in the living room.

"Thanks again, Bryan," Elena said, yawning. "I'm exhausted."

Bryan nodded, standing up. "No problem, I'll let you get some rest. Drive safely?"

Elena nodded, smiling. "Yeah, I will. Thanks again."

Bryan smiled, feeling a sense of satisfaction. He had helped out a friend in need, and it felt good.
