Chapter 3

After subjecting me to that cruel ordeal, Alpha Jacob ordered the servants to bathe me. Once the bath was over, the servants dressed me in a set of clean clothes.

However, no matter how much they scrubbed and cleaned, the lingering stench of the prison, a scent that seemed to have seeped into my very pores, still faintly clung to me.

Just as I descended the stairs, I witnessed Jones gently presenting a exquisitely crafted antique music box to Sarina.

The box was adorned with intricate, delicate carvings.

His face was suffused with tender affection, and his voice was so soft that it seemed to melt in the air.

"This music box hails from the European royal family of the 18th century. Each time it turns, it plays a dreamy melody exclusively for you."

My hands clenched tightly, my nails digging deep into my palms.

That was meant to be my birthday gift from my mother.

My mother, a gentle and kind - hearted werewolf, had always been my source of warmth and love. When I was first sent to that wretched prison, I overheard the guards mention that my mother was on her deathbed.

I begged and pleaded with them to let me see her one last time.

But they just sneered and said, "Elisa is the true daughter of Beta Steven. You'd better stay put here!"

And so, I was denied the chance to bid farewell to my mother.

Now, here I was, after three long, torturous years.

Sarina clung to my eldest brother and cooed,

"Big brother, you've spoiled me rotten. Now that sister is back, don't you think you should prepare a gift for her? Even a bottle of perfume would do. After all, she's been in prison for so long. She probably stinks to high heaven."

Upon hearing this, the onlookers turned their gazes towards me, their eyes filled with a mixture of shock and revulsion.

"Goodness! Is this woman really Selina? She reeks! It's so disgusting. I think I'm going to throw up what I just ate," one of them exclaimed.

Another guest, pinching their nose with a look of extreme distaste, shouted, "As soon as she shows up, that stench is enough to knock someone out! Who knows what kind of hell she went through in prison to be this filthy. Get her out of here quickly before she contaminates the whole place and ruins my expensive perfume's fragrance!"

Jones, with a stern and forbidding expression, strode purposefully towards me.

He let out a cold, contemptuous snort and snarled,

"Look at the sorry state you're in now! You reek to high heaven. Even the most expensive perfume in the world couldn't mask this revolting stench on you. You're nothing but a wretched, good - for - nothing bug. Having a sister like you is the worst curse I've ever endured. You're the greatest shame of my entire life! In our werewolf pack, where honor and reputation are held in the highest regard, you've brought nothing but disgrace upon us."

I had heard such accusations and curses countless times before, but now, I no longer had the strength to defend myself.

There was a time when I was like a helpless, lost cub, crying out with all my might for my big brother to save me, for Alpha Jacob to come to my rescue.

I would howl in despair, my werewolf voice echoing through the cold, damp prison corridors.

The guards, with their sadistic grins, would watch my agony with perverse delight and even had the audacity to call them right in front of me.

Amidst my heart - rending screams and sobs, I heard their voices filled with loathing. "Selina, we don't have a sister as vicious as you. Stop bothering us, or you'll rot in this prison for the rest of your life! "

Chapter 4

To punish me for daring to vie with Sarina for my brothers and my fiancé, every few days, they would Nilldish scalpels, behaving like a pack of ravenous, blood - thirsty werewolf hunters gone mad.

They would descend upon me with wild abandon, their eyes glinting with sadistic glee. Under the pretense that I was afflicted with various diseases, they forcibly set out to harvest my organs.

My heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys were all fair game.

One by one, they were callously removed from my body.

On the cold, sterile operating table, I writhed in excruciating pain, my body convulsing uncontrollably.

After the surgeries, I lay weak and broken on the icy prison cot.

My wounds were left untreated, blood seeping continuously, staining the tattered sheets a deep, crimson red.

Over time, I learned to keep my mouth shut, to plead guilty unconditionally and submit without question.

Sarina shot a coquettish and reproachful glance at my eldest brother, then with a saccharine smile, she linked her arm through mine.

"Sister, let's not dwell on the past. I've already forgiven you. We'll always be family," she said, her voice sickeningly sweet, belying the malice hidden beneath.

"Knowing you were coming back today, I've prepared an exciting 'game' for us to celebrate your birthday. I remember how you used to love pushing the limits, sister."

Sarina clapped her hands, and a servant wheeled in a high - powered electric fitness machine.

This device was designed for intense physical training of the most robust werewolves. For an ordinary person, improper use could lead to severe injury, but for me, with my ravaged body missing vital organs, it was a death sentence.

She stared at me meaningfully, her eyes filled with malevolence.

I instinctively hugged myself tightly, as if that could somehow protect the few remaining fragile organs within me.

I shook my head frantically, my voice quivering with fear and despair. "No, I can't use this. My body... it can't take it at all."

Instantly, Sarina's eyes welled up with tears.

"Sister, why are you being so difficult? I just want to have some fun with you. Is it really that hard to participate in this little game? After all, I've been so kind as to forgive you for everything. You're making me look bad in front of everyone"

"Sister, are you still holding a grudge against me? I'm so sorry. "

Sarina whimpered,. Her feigned pitiful appearance immediately stirred Alpha Jacob's protective instincts.

Alpha Jacob turned his cold, steely gaze towards me.

"Selina, have you already forgotten what I told you just now? Don't you dare upset Elisa. "

"I remember you used to be so fond of fitness. What's the matter now? Can't do it anymore? I think you're just deliberately trying to spoil Elisa's mood. I'll have you sent back right away, and you'll never see the light of day again. You should be grateful for the mercy we've shown you so far."

Suddenly, I jerked my head up.

Memories of the countless tortures I endured in that hellish place flooded my mind. The cold, damp cells, the cruel guards, and the excruciating pain of having my organs forcibly removed. I could still feel the searing agony as the scalpels sliced through my flesh.

I would rather die a thousand deaths than be sent back to that nightmare.

"No! Please, don't send me back there. I'll do anything, just don't send me back!"
