It was when the alpha grabbed my hand and lifted it while staring at me. I could see a meaningful grin over his face as he licked my palm. There was no doubt or hesitation. Pulling my hand away from his mouth, alpha Calhaun's grip around my waist grew stronger. "Weren't you the one who brought me closer here? Now you are running without taking any accountability?" I had no idea how to react to his sudden switch of attitude. Perhaps, the alpha could also comprehend through my body language. "Do you think I would let you?"

Alpha Calhaun pulled me while a gasp left my lips. "What do you want?" His eyes were glaring into my soul, as if he could potentially see my true face. I tried to keep myself composed while trying to figure out the deal. "What is it that you both agreed upon?" The alpha seemed to be amused with the way I admitted being an imposter. I could see him entrusting his secret deal.

Swirling me around once more while we continued to dance. I played along with his antics, assuming he was willing to open with me. "All you need to worry about is conceiving for me." Leaning in towards my ear he whispered with a grin. "The rest isn't your concern yet. Not here." I understood what he meant by that, we were in the midst of the hall. Among plenty of people!

Reaching for his collars I pulled him closer while biting the corner of my lower lip. "Are you implying about spending the night with me, alpha?" His eyes turned into a wide grin as the alpha's hand travelled towards my butt. Squeezing my ass I gasped at his audacity which stunned me. Alpha Calhaun was the most feared supreme alpha, known for being nonchalant and ruthless.

"Wasn't planning on it before." He spoke while looking down on my lips as his gaze travelled to my breasts. Due to the tight dress and low neckline alpha Calhaun could potentially see my cleavage. Composing myself and the treacherous body I was inside. It appeared that the wolf of the former body owner had also died. Because I could not feel any such supernatural surge inside the body. Simply meaning I was wolfless once again but had resources and power. "See you tonight, dear wife!" Alpha Calhaun held my chin and grazed his lips over mine before leaving.

Seeing him heading away proudly while I grabbed the wine glass from the waiter who walked past me. Gulping it down to cool down my aroused body, it seemed the former Valeria was indeed fond of sex. I saw Anna and Jane glaring at me in the corner of the

hall. As our eyes met I couldn't help but wink at them to put the ladies to shame. Meanwhile, Laine seemed happy for some reason.

Later that night when the ceremony ended and the guests were leaving. Alpha Aaron and my step-sister Alice were staying for a while as the journey was quite long. I bid goodbye to all the guests with alpha Calhaun and was about to leave the hall. It was the moment when Anna walked towards me with two maids. "Alpha Calhaun has sent you a bit of help. Here."

The two maids came forward and bowed to me. It wasn't a wonder that alpha Calhaun had given me the same perks as the other

women. "Delightful, Miss Anna." I smiled at her while Anna seemed proud of her selection. Whereas, I didn't want to give her any kind of access to my personal space. However, the opposite was the idea which struck my head.

"Though..." Looking behind her while tilting my head, shifting the attention back at her. "I want those two maids who are assisting you these days." A wide cheek to cheek grin appeared on my face

as I turned my head to address Anna. "You wouldn't dare refuse the potential luna. Right? After all, you failed to score the throne." Knowing my words would boil her even more.

I could see Anna's lips and eyes twitching which made me amused. She was indeed angry over whatever I said to her. Nonetheless, Anna slightly bowed in defeat while Jane stood nearby watching us. "Certainly, Miss Valeria. You are in power here now." Anna looked at me with a keen gaze before pausing for a moment. "Till it lasts." A grin appeared on her face as she gestured to her maids.

The two of them came forward and bowed to me as their submission. I ogled them from head to toe and for some reason they both seemed tensed. "We shall see, Miss Anna." Toying with my hair lock, every single gesture of mine angered her. "Who will stay and who shall be stripped from an already demoted status." Once again, her lips twitched and fingers curled in fists.

Nonetheless, I walked past her towards my bed chambers where I had opened my eyes. Knowing the room which was allotted to me, the maids followed behind with their heads lowered. Right after the wedding I had made plenty of enemies. Though perhaps Laine was reliable as she was amused by my antics. There was a lot to do before executing my revenge plan for Alice and alpha Aaron.

We headed towards the bed chambers when alpha Aaron approached us. "May I talk to you, Miss Valeria?" I knew he was boldly conspiring something against me. Else why would he risk talking to me knowing that now I was alpha Calhaun's bride. Ogling him from head to toe, Aaron was clad in a nightgown. Audacious. "In private." The alpha stressed.

I gestured to the maids with my hand and they bowed, taking their leave. Alpha Aaron smiled at me while licking his lower lip as he ogled at my silhouette. Looking down at him I could see him getting a boner in that loosely tied nightgown. Aaron leaned in towards my face when I subconsciously stepped back. The immediate action made me tuck to the wall.

"Oh come on, Valeria!" Alpha Aaron spoke in a mild complaining and seductive tone. No wonder, his affair with the former body owner Valeria was not a rumour. However, I felt repulsed by him knowing that he was once my fated mate before killing me. "There is no need to show me an attitude. There are only two of us here." Aaron put his one hand over the wall while staring.

Even though the previous body owner might have loved alpha Aaron I didn't. Not anymore after he tried to kill me for my step-sister. "I love how cunning you are, baby. Just a bit more and we will succeed." Alpha Aaron reached for my cheek and traced his thumb while approaching my lips. That was it! Placing my hand over his chest I pushed him back using all my might.

"Enough, alpha Aaron." Raising my voice at him I could see the alpha's expressions changing. Maintaining my composure while interlacing my hands and glaring at alpha Aaron. "I assume you are forgetting where you are standing. This is the North pack and you're a guest here." He seemed surprised to see me reacting unusually. "Certainly, you would not want to go back on four shoulders."

Alpha Aaron was shocked that I could rebel and refuse to converse with him. "You!" He leaped towards me when I raised my hand to stop that monster. "Behave yourself, alpha Aaron. You are mistaking me for some whore entertainment of yours." That was the perfect moment as Aaron halted right away. "Your mistress, Miss Alice, might be waiting for you."

I chose those words intentionally as Aaron hadn't married Alice yet. They both had been living together for over a year until after my death. Which made me wonder as to why he didn't when Aaron and Alice had such a passionate affair. Nonetheless, my words made him angry which caused Alpha Aaron to react impulsively. "You bitch!" He reached for my throat and grabbed it.

While trying to push him away my hand touched Aaron's robe. He was not budging when I had to kick him in the nuts. "Argh!" Alpha Aaron yelled while holding his crotch, the whole process made his robe fall off from the shoulders. Seeing him whining a bit away from me I ran towards my room. With my thumping heart and staggering footsteps I was still midway when a voice occurred.

My footsteps immediately halted upon seeing alpha Calhaun. His golden glowing eyes glared at me from head to toe. "Alpha Aaron!" Every single pore on my body felt the raging voice of the alpha which resonated in that arcade. "This time it is your weiner, next time it could be your neck." Calhaun threatened him with a snarl, he glanced at my torn neckline with his glowing orbs.

Alpha Aaron spoke nothing and headed back to his room. When he disappeared from our sight, alpha Calhaun wrapped his hand around my waist. Before I could comprehend what was even happening, he pushed me to the wall while grabbing my chin. "Taking advantage of your pretty face that soon?" Alpha Calhaun was angry at our little encounter which made the situation worse.

"No, I wasn't." Denying his allegation while hissing, I tried to assure him whatever he was thinking was just an assumption. "He

came here to harass me." Alpha's grip over my chin tightened as he pushed his own body over mine. It made me let out a gasp with the weight he was imposing on me. "Didn't you see him whining while

holding his thing?" My justification was valid though he didn't want to hear it.

"Oh really? What about your torn dress?" Alpha Calhaun leaned in towards my face, I could feel his breathing over my lips. "Did you perhaps seduce him when he refused, you kicked his nuts?" His gaze travelled from my eyes towards my lips. Was he seeing my true face in my eyes? "That explains why you didn't shout for help if you were being harassed." He tried to reason out with me.

After thinking quickly I took my tongue out and licked his finger which was over my chin. Placing my arms over his shoulders, alpha Calhaun got stunned for a moment. "Don't you think if I wanted to seduce anyone, I would pick the most powerful in the chain?" A smirk appeared over his lips, he seemed satisfied with my witty response. Lifting his hand, Alpha Calhaun grazed his thumb over my lips.

Smiling softly I moved forward towards him, lifting my silhouette over my toes. Reaching his face while my hands over his shoulders supported. "I didn't shout, alpha Calhaun. Doubt that you want your newly wed to be seen in such a questionable state by others." My whispering made him aroused, as I could feel his body heating up. "Rumours spread faster." My lips barely touched his lips.

Alpha Calhaun pulled me closer with a soft chuckle. "Fascinating!" Holding my chin once again he pulled my face in a kiss. It was something unexpected for me, but I could feel his antics being gentle this time. "Wait for me tonight!" He spoke to me while licking his lips and stepping back. Smiling at him I headed to my room in anticipation. Only if I had known that Anna witnessed everything from the corner.

[Valeria's pov]

Holding my neckline I headed towards my room when the maids entered. They had been somewhere out when alpha Aaron was harassing me. Only if I knew they were being preached by Anna, who stood by the corner and witnessed everything. Gesturing one of them, she closed the door when I plopped on the bed and laid down. They both stood in front of me with their heads lowered.

My legs were dangling when I joined the ankles and sat to address them. Before I could utter anything, both of them knelt in front of me holding my legs. "Please, miss. Don't send us back. Please, don't. We will do whatever you want." Their reaction confused me as to why they desired that. Moving my legs I asked them to step away from me. Both of them crawled back a bit with teary eyes.

Raising my eyebrow at them I wanted to ask them so much without revealing my desperation. "What are you two implying?" Maintaining my composure, inquiring about them both knowing the types of secrets they held. "You two seem happy upon not serving Anna anymore." I could see both of them exchanging glances before speaking their minds.

Hesitation was evident over their faces before they resumed. "Yes, Miss Valeria. Please, keep us with you. We will not say a word to anyone and will serve you with loyalty. We shall do whatever you want." For some reason I could see tears and sincerity in their eyes. It made me wonder why they both were acting so scared yet relieved that I had taken them away.

"We don't want to go back to Miss Anna." Both of them exchanged glances, hesitation clouded their expressions. "She has made us do terrible things. We don't want to do those anymore. Please, save our sanity. Don't give us back." Hearing their stances I was certain either it was a trap or they were telling the truth. Nonetheless, having them by my side I had an upper hand in the matter.

Placing my one leg over the other I glanced at them. Smirking while seeing the opportunity, lifting my hand up to blow over my nails. "What shall I get in exchange for this security and safety?" Of course, that was a two way route and I wanted to take advantage of the situation. "You two have to offer something in return for my favour." Placing my stance, I waited for them to decide.

They both looked at each other again and then wiped their tears. "We can tell you what Miss Anna is planning for tonight." They took a pause when I noticed both of them were twins with barely any distinction. One of them had a small mole over her chin, though both were equally pretty and seemed innocent. "She is planning to ruin your night with the alpha."

She paused while the other continued while gasping as she got onto her knees. They both sat on the carpeted floor beneath me. "Yes, she is planning to keep the alpha busy in her room. Miss Anna doesn't want him to spend the wedding night with you." Smirking, I knew they were telling the truth as I was expecting something like that from her. "We can tell you anything and everything about her."

That was enough for me for the day, the rest of the information I wanted required gradual extortion. Nonetheless, asking their names, Macy and Jacy, they pledged their loyalty to me. "I am certain none of you would want to be fed to the rogue wolves upon disobedience." Threatening them with the outcome of dodging me, they both nodded immediately. After all, I was the potential luna.

After dealing with them, they both headed towards their quarters. I waited for a few hours for alpha Calhaun, when more than four hours passed; I was certain that what they both said was true. "Fuck you, Calhaun! You men cannot keep your pants up." Growing angry at the alpha, the memories flooded in my head. First it was Aaron and now Calhaun, both played me.

Stomping my foot at the thought of alpha Calhaun actually spending the night with Anna. I shot up from the bed and headed towards the door. Walking in the arcade taking bigger steps, I picked up the hem of my newly changed gown. Macy had already told me where Anna's room was and I walked towards that direction. My mind was clouded with an intense rage.

I was about to turn the knob when someone pulled me from behind. Alpha Calhaun placed his chin in the crook of my neck. "Missed me that much?" As he drifted me away from the door, picking me up over his shoulder unexpectedly. I was taken aback as to what he wanted to do. "Couldn't even stand any other woman wanting me, eh?" Certainly he was messing up with me now.

"Hey! Put me down!" Blurting out to him without any title or proper addressing. Smacking over his back while alpha Calhaun carried me back to my room. Well, our room. It appeared that he was supposed to be with Anna but didn't enter her bed chambers. Good thing that I encountered him before he entered. Now he was supposed to spend the night with me. Wedding night! Fuck!

The next thing I heard was his loud laughter as alpha Calhaun smacked my butt. "You didn't come all armed with rage, only for me to put you down. Right?" I supported myself on his shoulder when the cunning man looked at me. "Instead you wanted to put me down." Glancing at me his golden eyes glowed, making me aware what did he mean by those words.

My cheeks grew heated upon hearing his words and I smacked hard over his back. Alpha Calhaun playfully acted as if he had gotten hurt. "Ouch! You feisty little wolf!" I could not help but scoff at his actions which made me wonder something. Did the former body owner Valeria ever have a wolf or not? I was still engrossed in my own thoughts when alpha Calhaun threw me on the bed.

"You couldn't keep your emotions contained, huh?" It was the moment when I realised what was happening. Having sex and sharing the same bed with him was not on my list. I was a virgin at least, if this new body was not. Staring at him I wanted to refuse by generating some life. But before that alpha Calhaun slumped in the bed beside me. "Missed me that much?"

Alpha Calhaun lifted his head, supporting his palm while staring at me. I crawled backwards on the bed which made him chuckle. "You know what...whomever you are. Being stuck in the body of this slut while behaving coyly, you make me laugh." His words pierced through my ears, revealing the kind of reputation the former body owner had.

"I would say this is your utter bad luck." He gestured towards my silhouette while looking at me with a mixed expression of disgust and mock. "Don't worry, I ain't going to touch you." Alpha Calhaun turned towards me, seeing my hurt expressions he elaborated himself. "Not you, I mean. This body. I never loved Valeria for plenty of reasons, you are just stuck in the wrong body."

He sighed and laid back on the bed while I glanced at his features. The alpha snapped open his eyes which made me gasp. "Though since we are talking already. Who are you?" He looked at me with curiosity, as if the alpha could see through my soul. Well, technically he could. "You should start talking now if you want me to protect you in this body." Alpha Calhaun gestured.

I could feel a hard lump down my throat while looking into his eyes. Once again, a bad move as he could see my soul and my true face. He was right though, if I wanted him to protect me then I had to come clean with him. "My name is Valeria too, I am from the South pack." Lowering my head in a hurtful remembrance, feeling the need for telling the truth. Alpha Calhaun would understand, right?

"Before I died, alpha Aaron was mated to me. But he didn't want me, instead cheating on me with my step-sister Alice. I am the one they pushed off the cliff to get rid of me." Turning my head towards the alpha, grabbing his hand while snagging Calhaun's attention. "Though I swear on the moon goddess, I have no idea how I ended up in this body. Maybe because of the same name."

I had no idea whatever was coming out of my mouth was truth or pure assumptions. However, alpha Calhaun looked at me silently before speaking. "So, you are that asshole's previous mate? The one who is said to commit suicide? And now you are inside this body of Valeria Hawthorne of West pack?" When I nodded, the alpha laughed wholeheartedly while laying back.

Looking at my half crying face, he smirked at me to tease. "I don't know what is worse. Rejection by that asshole, the label of suicide, being stuck in this slut's body." I had no idea when a tear crawled down my cheek. The next thing I felt was Alpha's touch over my cheek as he crept towards me. Holding my cheeks, staring deeply into my eyes. "You should be happy that I can see your true face."

Alpha Calhaun wiped off the tears from my cheek. Staring back into his eyes, disbelief clouded my mind. How could someone like him go to such lengths? "No matter in whose body you will be now, I can recognise your true self, Valeria of South pack." Adjoining his forehead with mine, I couldn't help my sniffling and hugged him immediately. How could I be so vulnerable in front of a stranger?
