Mia's POV

Gavin arrives in the company of his officials, cheers and delighted murmuring among the girls start, and all eyes are on him despite the numerous Alphas present. He looks so much like the Alpha King among them, if an Alpha King were to be chosen, from among them, it would surely be him.

Due to the large crowd, I had to strain my neck just to accomplish my wish, here my eyes collided with Leila, I didn't even realize that she had been near me all this while. She smirks, I know what's going on in her mind right now, but I choose to ignore it. I keep on staring at the Alpha, so tormented by his beauty that I lose consciousness of what's happening at the ceremony. All I wish for in my life now is to get a mate who will be fine as this Alpha, someone who would save me from the daily agony I face being in my family. A mate will shower me with all the love I need, we will create a new family and forget about this current one which is causing me so much pain.

I'm lost in my thoughts, forgetting about what's going on around me until a deep, wild berry scent mixed with almond and olive comes through my nose, still thinking, I didn't give my attention to it, not until a deep, harsh voice scared me off balance. I stagger, almost falling.

"Are you the one?" A deep, sexy voice, rich in nature and thrilling looms over me. I raise my head from the ground I was staring at while lost in thought. My heart begins to thump so fast with the body frame beside me who has swallowed me up in height, body size, and beauty, with his blue charming eyes which seem like they would make me melt. My legs begin to shake as I feel the charming, overpowering aura of the personality beside me. It's purely like a dream that I'm caught in, without redemption.

"Are you…sure. it's me, Alpha?" I stammer. I didn't expect someone like me would be fated to such a demi-god, an angelic prince living among us. His presence alone commands authority and attraction. All eyes are on us right now. His appearance and the aura surrounding him intimidates me I would say, but for good. I have never come across a man this sexy and handsome, he's even more charming than he appears to me in the Tabloids and journals.

"Yes, you are the girl I've been waiting for all my life. What's your name?" He asks.

"Mia," I put forth my response with all politeness.

"Mia! Wow, what a nice name." He pulls me closer to himself and sinks his lips into mine, breaking away all the strongholds and discipline I had created for myself, his kiss happens to be my very first, so mind-blowing it has to be in the public under the watchful eyes of everyone. I don't care either, I'm soaked into this world Gavin has placed me into, with the butterflies in my stomach and bubbles sparkling in my head. I close my eyes, stretching myself to be on the same level as his height as I initiate the kiss this time, the touch of our lips and tongues with this wild scent of his ravages my entire being. In this world we are in, it's only him and I, no one exists.

The more we continue to kiss, the more the electricity sparks across my veins, our bodies are pulled closer and I can even feel his bulge pointing hard against my groin region. I'm melting right now, if not for him holding my waist, I would fall with weakness from passion and not rise because my legs are weak.

With him in his arms, I feel warmth and safety. But still, I doubt if this is a dream or reality. So I'm finally gonna leave this pack and my family for good? No more humiliations. I can't believe it! Slowly I wrap my hands around him, holding him tight and not wanting to let go of him.

I can hear whispering from the crowd of girls, if not that I'm with him, I would fear being stoned. I know that most of them here set their hearts on Alpha Gavin, that's the whole truth but right now, it turned out to be me, I'm the target of jealousy. I remember my stepsisters, they are here too and would carry the news to my dad, thank God I came, who cares to return to say goodbye before leaving?

Gavin pulls out a little bit, slowly, I grunt. I don't want to pull away but it's like one of his men tapped him, hoping to say something to him. How dare he do that? As I hear Gavin discussing with his men how they would return to Sullivan Pack right away, my heart beats with joy. I don't see the need for delay, nor do I see the need to say goodbye to anyone. I have no one who loves me here, who cares about their love right now when I have someone who would make me feel safe and secure. Gavin is all I ever needed.

"Wouldn't you mind returning with me right away, I don't see the need to say goodbye to anyone?" I smile as Gavin repeats the same thing I had in mind. His eyes collide with mine, causing me to blush and slightly look away, but still, I feel the heavy effect. His eyes are killing me, making my legs weak but I would rather grow weak with passion than strong from lack of love.

His wolf must have told him of what I passed through in this pack and my family. We haven't met before, neither does he know me before now yet he is saying the same thing I was speaking to myself a few minutes ago.

"Hmm," I sigh in relief. I nod to what he just said.

Mia's POV

Even without him saying this, I wouldn't want to waste a dime of time here. Of course, I have nothing good keeping me, the only one I would have stopped to say goodbye to before passing to Sullivan Pack where he is taking me would have been my mom but she remarried, she was driven away by my dad when I was still a toddler, so I don't know much about her except the photos in the family album and the portraits in the historic room. This is the room where all the pictures of those who were in one way or the other related to the Alpha gene ancestry are kept, my family is an Alpha family, my mom wasn't a member by birth and even though she didn't marry dad, her portraits are still kept there for historic purposes, same with mine even though no one loved both of us.

"I'll make sure I give you the best life ever, you are now my mate, so you don't need to worry about anything." I look into his eyes as he says this, here I can see our future, that glorious future of him not only being my mate and husband but the father of my kids. Warmth cascades over me, I grab his palms tighter as he holds my hand.

"Thanks, Alpha," I smile.

"No, you don't need to call me that. We are mates. Call me Gavin, you're family now and that's what every member of my family calls me."

"Yes," he affirms, my eyes filled with gratitude as we walk to the luxury car packed a few meters away. As we reach the car, he steps forward and opens the door for me. I smile at his gentlemanly attitude, he doesn't care what anyone would say, he's serving his mate. Most Alphas are dominant and demand their mate to serve them, but here he is serving me, proving the pure gentleman. I'm so lucky, the moon goddess has blessed me. My face is as radiant as ever. This day needs to be marked in history because it won't be forgotten by me.

He gives me a warm smile, then closes the door, I thought he would open it himself but his PA is already there to do that, he closes it as Gavins gets in. I'm blushing, as I brush my hips, a little bit shy of his beauty. The next thing I feel is his palms on both cheeks of mine, turning my face towards him, his face pulls closer and so our lips which unite together in a romantic kiss.

My eyes widen as our lips touch, the feeling of doing this right inside this luxury car, in our privacy is on a whole new level entirely, more romantic than before. I start now to imagine how it will be when he gets to claim me. The car starts to move, slowly we pull out of the square, I turn for once to look at those gathering there, one last look at them, I wish a romantic fate would locate them today but not like mine because it's so spectacular and I wouldn't wish to share such story with anyone in the whole world except my mate, Gavin.

Upon arriving, the magnificent black and gold gate of the pack estate, which I believe whirls, opens. As the gate closes, I realize I've been closed to the old world and open to the new world which I believe would be full of surprising opportunities. My world would be full of fantasy with Gavin on my side, my mind starts attracting great thoughts as my biggest dream right now is to assume the seat of Luna. Sullivan Pack from what I've heard hasn't had a Luna for a long time. Though this constitutes part of my happiness as I'll have some power and identity to myself, something which had been denied me in my pack, more of my joy proceeds from being with Gavin.

A good number of people turn out to welcome us, they look so glad seeing their Alpha return with his mate, something they must have been expecting for years now by what he said before. We are informed of a small party that was arranged in our honor, I begin to wonder when they had the time to make the dishes and set everywhere, but then I remember that the journey from Mayweather Pack to here is about three hours, within this time, it's possible to set a whole hall with sufficient persons and tools. Gavin might have informed them about finding his mate right after we connected.

After the massive turnout, he calls me aside and speaks to me. "Welcome to my new world, from henceforth, you will have to abide by certain rules, my rules," he puts up a stern face for the first time, but this soon culminates into a smiling face. I narrowed my eyes amused at the style he should take in welcoming me to his pack.

"You don't mean it, do you?" I tease him.

"Yes, I do. Soon, you're gonna be installed as my Luna and I have to let you know much about the position you are going into." He brushes his palms over my cheeks and looks straight at me with a bit of pitiful eyes, serious but somewhat sweet. I feel the energy and interest flowing from the way he steadies to look at me. My heart can't afford to play its love song which is beating faster than it's supposed to.

In the morning, I woke up to a great luxury, I didn't expect this. But then something really important occurred while I slept. I had a dream and in the dream, it was the moon goddess speaking to me. We werewolves hold whatever the moon goddess says to us in high esteem.

As I slept, I saw a light come upon me, as this came closer, the image of a radiant woman appeared before me.

Mia's POV

"Mia, please listen to me. If you want to achieve your aim in the Sullivan Pack, you've got to get rid of your angry, twisted face. It would not bring solutions to your problems, rather it would bring more trouble. Your parents are alive, they will return to their positions soon, same with your step sisters but the only one who will become the beginning of your trouble would be the best friend you're looking for, Emma. She's here and you would find her when you didn't expect."

As I was thinking about this, I saw the door opening and Gavin walked in. He stands before my bed folding his arms.

"Good morning," I mumbled.

"Good morning too. Get ready, we are having a party in honor of you coming here. Soon, you're gonna be installed as my Luna and I have to let you know much about the position you are going into." He brushes his palms over my cheeks and looks straight at me with a bit of pitiful eyes, serious but somewhat sweet. My face, which had been stiff, was gradually changing. I tried to fake it too in my heart. I believed I could enjoy this luxury, being with him and still executing my revenge on him. What made me a little reticent in what I had in heart to do to him is what the moon goddess said about my parents and step sisters being alive. If I had to revenge now, it would be for him raping me.

I feel the energy and interest flowing from the way he steadies to look at me. My heart can't afford to play its love song which is beating faster than it's supposed to. All through the party, my mind was swayed away, I was lost in the beauty of the surroundings, the luxury which had started buying me. It's like being in paradise for someone like me who was subdued to being a slave.

After the party, he leads me by the hand as soon as the party is over. "Wouldn't you mind showing me around?" I ask him in a mild voice, I would love no one else but him, to show me around in my new environment. He smiles, but that smile doesn't last for long.

"I would introduce you properly to my parents, the Alpha and Luna before me but I'm afraid."

"Afraid of what?"

"No, nothing. It's fine." He pulls me into suspense as he says this, I begin to imagine what he is trying to mean inside of me. I part my lips to raise another question but he subdues that quest with a charming smile which forces me to smile back and keep silent. Deep inside of me, I feel there's something I need to know. As if he observes the trouble I'm having inside of me right now, he stops and makes me face him. "I don't mean anything serious, you will do yourself harm by worrying over any trivial issue. Just assume it was a slip of the tongue, I love you so much baby, and would not trade you for anything in the world." He leans and kisses me again, I know he loves me but his statement is just making me view him as hiding something.

"He sounds creepy here!" I say to my wolf, hoping to receive some suggestions from it. My wolf is smarter than me, it growls in acceptance of this.

"I'd observed this earlier than you but he is our mate and he loves us, why worry?"

"Hmm," I swallow the lump in my throat. I'm shaken off my thoughts by Gavin who playfully shakes my shoulders.

"What's it you're thinking?" He gives a weird smile.

"No, nothing." I smile back. I choose to let go of this. I once remember my teacher saying that to have a successful relationship, you must overlook certain things. This is just a great temptation right in front of me and it happens to be on my first day with my mate. Perhaps Gavin didn't mean anything serious, I'm the one overthinking everything and just freaking out. "I need to call myself to order," I say to myself.

Gavin accompanies me in going to meet the Alpha and Luna, who have their chambers on the third floor, we have to use the elevator. I try my best to keep calm, but as usual, tension arises and I begin to fear if they will accept me. I only saw them from a distance at the party but I'm not quite sure if they were happy having me join their pack.

"I would love you to put up your best confidence," Gavin tells me. By this, I realize that we are closer to meeting them. As we stand outside of the glass door of their chambers, I take a hard breath.

"Let's go, I'm ready!" I say to Gavin.

There in the living room, the Alpha and Luna are sitting arm in arm with each other watching TV. As we approach, we courtesy before them. "I know, Mom and Dad, you saw her at the party but I want to introduce her to you personally. This is Mia, from the Mayweather Pack." I was smiling, clasping my hands submissively before them. This is one way I show my politeness when I'm standing before elders. I expect them to smile back at me but I'm mistaken, they frown instead.

Gavin's face falls. He shakes his head in despair, I try to hide my emotions by not looking at them. They both look at each other, from my observation, they must be mindlinking.

"Hello sir, ma'am." I wave towards their faces hoping they would return their attention to me. I want to act a bit cordial, not too aloof or serious. When they raise their eyes to stare at me, I nearly cringe. Their eyes turn radiant, and the anger in them can't be hidden but what's the reason behind this?

"Why would you go pick someone from a pack that doesn't love us?" His mom starts, and Gavin freezes on the spot where she is. I can tell he didn't expect this.
