Chapter 1

After being betrayed by my fiancé, I ended up with a brother who has autism.

I laughed at him in front of him.

"You know, this brother of mine is much more well-behaved than you."

His eyes suddenly reddened.

Later...

At the engagement party, in front of everyone, I told him directly.

"Miller, I don't want you anymore."

At the engagement party, my partner of three years abandoned me for his half-sister.

I went from being the brave daughter of the Morris family who chased after love to a perpetual joke in the circle.

My sister stood innocently behind Miller, giving me a silent smile.

I recognized the shape of her lips.

She was mocking me.

She was like, "Your mother is a worthless piece of trash, and so are you."

Infuriated, I slapped her across the face.

Miller pushed me away with disgust.

Later...

I was injected with drugs, and under the effects, I jumped from a high building.

As I was about to lose consciousness, I prayed to the gods with all my resentment.

I offered my soul as a sacrifice.

I asked for another chance.

The gods responded to my prayer, and thus I returned to the beginning of all the tragedies.

I am going to return the pain Miller Mills and Ana Morris inflicted on me.

A thousand times over.

I lowered my eyelashes.

Now I should go to the bar, encounter Miller, and fall in love with him at first sight.

It's not difficult to find Miller in the bar. Miller is handsome and exudes an aura that warns others not to approach.

I almost immediately spotted Miller in the dim light, sitting lazily with his long legs casually draped over a small table.

Around the booth, many girls cast covert flirtatious glances at Miller, but no one dared to approach due to his cold aura.

I stood quietly by the side, closed my eyes, and calmed the turmoil in my heart.

Then I walked over to Miller's side.

I placed a cognac with a lipstick mark on the table.

The sound of the glass rubbing against the table startled Miller.

He glanced at me indifferently.

I smiled warmly at Miller and extended my hand. "Are you also a person? I'm Eden."

Miller's eyebrows were lowered, and his expression was cold.

I sat next to Miller, lightly fiddling with the glass marked with lipstick.

Ignoring Miller's impatient look.

I sweetly said, "Name your price. I like you very much."

His suddenly sharp gaze fell on me like a blade. Miller's voice was icy. "Do you think I'm a prostitute?"

I blinked and took an attached card from my bag, throwing it at Miller.

The attached card was given to me by the Morris family, which deposits three hundred thousand every month for living expenses.

Miller sat quietly, allowing the small silver card to fall to the ground with a soft clink.

"Hmph." Miller let out a light snort.

The dim light cast shadows on Miller's face, but his narrow eyes remained clear.

His eyes were so cold, like cold water splashed in the night wind.

I couldn't help but tremble as I fell into memories.

At the engagement party, because of Ana's tears, Miller left without hesitation.

I had meticulously made up my face, standing on stage while guests below whispered and occasionally made sharp jokes.

I grabbed Miller's sleeve, struggling to speak, "At least, let's finish the engagement party process and give each other some dignity."

Chapter 2

Miller hesitated for a moment but still resolutely pushed me away.

That day, I went from being the brave young lady who pursued love from the Morris family to a long-lasting joke within the circle.

Everyone knew that I fell for Miller at first sight, lowering myself and chasing after Miller for three years with all my efforts.

I thought these three years would be like water dripping on stone, but Miller's actions told me that unrequited love has no end.

My partner was taken away by my half-sister at the engagement party.

How ridiculous.

Ana, standing pitifully behind Miller, didn't forget to mock me with lip movements.

Her message was clear: My mother is a failure, and so am I.

When I slapped Ana, Miller looked at me with the same expression.

Extremely light, extremely cold.

Cold enough to make me shiver years later when I recall it.

By the time I snapped back from my shivering in the cold water of years past, the cold gaze at the booth was already gone.

Miller had left.

A running monk can't escape the temple.

I ordered 999 fiery red roses to be sent to Miller's company.

The card had my Line number on it.

Considering the timing, Miller should have received the roses and furiously accepted my friend request.

Sure enough.

A simple black profile picture had accepted my friend request, with the message "typing" continuously appearing.

I waited patiently.

In the end, Miller only sent a reserved message.

"Ms. Morris, pursuit should be based on mutual respect. Your actions have caused me great trouble. I hope you refrain from such strange behavior."

I chuckled, chewing over Miller's so-called mutual respect.

I replied leisurely, "Don't like the roses?"

Miller...

You are so full of yourself and arrogant, I'm going to pursue you like you are a gigolo, throwing money at you.

You destroyed my dignity, and now it's my turn to return the favor in the same way.

Without waiting for Miller's reply, I smirked and frantically placed orders.

Hermes ties, Rolex watches, Balenciaga wallets...

Flowers and gifts were sent in succession to Miller's company.

Under my intense onslaught, Miller finally, unable to bear it any longer, chose to go abroad to avoid the disturbance.

The delivery guy hesitantly tried to comfort me. "Miss, this way of pursuing someone might not be right."

He pointed to the red roses and card with domineering CEO quotes that Miller refused, hesitating. "It feels like you're insulting someone."

Hearing this, I blinked and replied with a smiling voice, "It's okay if this method fails. As the saying goes, 'love me, love my dog,' which means liking a person so much that you also like the person or things that person cherishes."

During Miller's time abroad, I successfully applied to be an art teacher at Hillside Villa.

My job was to accompany Miller's autistic younger brother in painting.

Unlike Miller's cold demeanor, Ellis was gentle and harmless.

His hair softly fell over his pale forehead.

His doe-like eyes were clear and pure.

He sat quietly in front of the easel, immersed in his own world.

On the pure white canvas was thick, black paint, chaotic lines, and twisted symbols.

The oppressive and gloomy atmosphere hit me directly.

"Ellis, today we're not painting oil paintings."

Chapter 3

Ellis blinked, stopped his movements, and looked at me quietly.

I crouched down, gently wiping the oil paint off his face. "Let's go to the park for some inspiration."

Ellis, still expressionless, looked at the painting board in front of him and said calmly, "My brother won't let me go outside."

I certainly know that Miller doesn't allow Ellis to go outside.

Ellis' autism is not congenital.

Miller, busy with work and rarely home, hired a full-time nanny for Ellis.

The nanny, seeing Ellis unattended, abused him without restraint.

Ellis was regularly denied food and physically abused, without any regard for his well-being.

Due to the prolonged abuse, Ellis became increasingly silent.

By the time Miller finished his work and noticed, Ellis had turned into a docile and obedient puppet.

He was so obedient that he followed any request made to him without question.

He wouldn't refuse, had no demands, only passively accepted.

To protect Ellis, Miller kept him confined at Hillside Villa, treating him as if in imprisonment.

If there is anything Miller truly cherishes, Ellis would certainly be the most important of them.

I wasn't surprised by Ellis' response.

I gently touched his soft black hair and looked into Ellis' doe-like eyes, softly coaxing. "Ellis, do you want to go outside?"

Ellis pressed his pink lips together, gazed at me with his doe-like eyes, and didn't answer.

Under his clear gaze, I felt a deep sense of guilt as if I had nowhere to hide.

I didn't apply to become Ellis' art teacher out of affection for him.

I am a vengeful spirit from hell.

I prayed to the gods only for revenge.

Miller ruined me, and I intend to ruin Miller's most precious thing.

I approached Ellis with one purpose only.

To torment Ellis and retaliate against Miller.

After being abandoned by my lover at the wedding banquet...

Being humiliated by my half-sister...

Being maliciously poisoned...

And eventually jumping from a high building in mental collapse, I thought I no longer had a conscience.

But looking at Ellis' clear doe-like eyes, I still felt a pang of guilt.

I covered Ellis' eyes with my hand, kissed his warm lips, and whispered, "Don't look at me."

Ellis obediently closed his eyes, his long lashes resting in my palm like a trembling butterfly, quietly trapped in my hand.

In the dead of night, a torrential rain poured down at Hillside Villa.

Purple lightning danced through the dark clouds, and thunder roared.

I might still have a bit of conscience left.

I sighed.

I walked down the corridor to the innermost room.

The door wasn't locked, and it opened with a twist.

Ellis was indeed curled up in bed with a small rabbit pillow.

His black hair was messily sticking up.

His doe-like eyes were tightly shut, and his long lashes trembled in fear.

I climbed onto the bed and touched Ellis' soft black hair.

Ellis' clear eyes looked at me quietly.

I gently closed his eyes with my hand and coaxed softly. "Sleep now."

His long lashes trembled lightly in my hand, and Ellis obediently closed his eyes.

After a moment, the sound of the rain and thunder ceased.

I kept my eyes open and looked out the window.

The blanket shifted, and a warm hand wrapped around my waist, followed by a fuzzy little head snuggling into my neck.
