Corinne, fleeing her wedding in her gown, and Andre both end up at an apartment leasing office due to the landlord's error and become reluctant roommates after arguing over who gets to stay. Later, Corinne lands a job at a rising advertising agency, only to discover Andre is her boss. A colleague grows suspicious of their relationship, spreads rumors, and while Andre defends Corinne, he asks her to keep their living situation a secret. Despite the rumors, they gradually fall in love. When Corinne's fiancé James appears and tries to get her back, she refuses and is subsequently slandered at work.
